BBC America brought the new stars of the critically acclaimed sci-fi series, Doctor Who, to the 2018 San Diego Comic Con where they unveiled the first teaser footage from the upcoming season. The new season marks the first time a woman has been the Doctor, and the short 40 second video features a voice-over by the 13th Doctor, Jodie Whittaker.
“All of this is new to me. New faces, new worlds, new times, so if I asked really, really nicely, would you be my new best friends?” asks Whittaker.
The cast of the new season also includes Tosin Cole as Ryan Sinclair, Mandip Gill as Yasmin Khan, and Bradley Walsh as Graham O’Brien traveling through space and time. The Comic Con panel marked the first panel appearance by new cast members Whittaker, Gill, and Cole.
Doctor Who will return this fall on BBC America.
