Person of Interest fan favorite Sarah Shahi and Incorporated‘s Dennis Haysbert headline NBC’s new dramatic series, Reverie. The series is set to air during the summer primetime season, kicking off on May 30, 2018. NBC’s set a Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT time slot for the thriller from Mickey Fisher, the creator of Extant.
In addition to Sarah Shahi and Dennis Haysbert, season one features Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes Reborn), Kathryn Morris (Cold Case), and Jessica Lu (Awkward.). Reverie is executive produced by Mickey Fisher, Tom Szentgyorgyi, Brooklyn Weaver, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey.
Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows, Run All Night) directed the pilot episode. Other season one directors include Michael Katleman, PJ Pesce, Matt Earl Beesley, Dawn Wilkinson, John Showwalter, and Daisy Mayer.
The Plot: This grounded new thriller follows Mara Kint (Sarah Shahi), a former hostage negotiator and expert on human behavior who became a college professor after facing an unimaginable personal tragedy. But when her former boss, Charlie Ventana (Dennis Haysbert), brings her in to save ordinary people who have lost themselves in a highly advanced immersive virtual-reality program in which you can live out your ildest dreams, she finds that in saving others, she may actually have discovered a way to save herself.
