CBS’s Sheriff Country season two premieres with an episode that features series star Morena Baccarin’s real-life spouse, Ben McKenzie, as a guest star. The second season premieres on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 8pm ET/PT.
Baccarin stars as Mickey Fox, Matt Lauria plays Nathan Boone, W. Earl Brown is Wes Fox, Christopher Gorham plays Travis Fraley, Michele Weaver is Cassidy Campbell, Amanda Arcuri is Skye Fraley, and Ian Quinlan is Hank Iglesias.
Season 2 Episode 1 “Cyclone” Plot: As Sheriff Mickey Fox struggles to process a shocking revelation about her family, she races to save a troubled young woman whose descent into a dangerous criminal operation uncovers a growing threat to all of Edgewater. Ben McKenzie guest stars as Sheriff Wade, a neighboring sheriff who is called in to assist Sheriff Mickey, and has a few secrets of his own.
The season two premiere was written by Matt Lopez and directed by Ed Ornelas.

Mickey investigates crime while patrolling the streets of small-town Edgewater, contending with her ex-con father, Wes (Brown), an off-the-grid marijuana grower, while dealing with personal battles and an ever-growing criminal threat to the community she has sworn to protect.
