Fire Country Season 5 Premiere: First Look Photos, Plot, Cast & Trailer

The upcoming fifth season of CBS’s Fire Country begins without Stephanie Arcila, who played Gabriela, and with the addition of new series regular Olivia Thirlby as firefighter Cecilia Jade “CJ” Ryan. Season five will premiere on October 9, 2026, with new episodes airing on Fridays at 9pm ET/PT.

Max Thieriot returns as Bode, Kevin Alejandro is back as Manny, Diane Farr stars as Sharon, Jordan Calloway returns as Jake, and Jules Latimer stars as Eve.

Season one, episode five, “Founders’ Day” plot: As Edgewater celebrates its annual Founders’ Day festival, a catastrophic sinkhole opens beneath Main Street, trapping residents underground and forcing Station 42 into a high-stakes rescue. Meanwhile, a mysterious former firefighter arrives in Edgewater. Eric Guggenheim wrote the season premiere and Ruben Garcia directed it.

Executive producer Eric Guggenheim is handling showrunner duties for season five, taking over for Tia Napolitano, who departed to develop her own projects. Additional executive producers include Max Thieriot, Tony Phelan, Joan Rater, Bill Purple, Jerry Bruckheimer, and KristieAnne Reid.
