Apple TV+ has set a November 29, 2023 premiere date for season three of the critically acclaimed drama Slow Horses. The upcoming season three will kick off with the release of the first two episodes, with new episodes of the six-episode season following on Fridays. The season three finale is scheduled for December 29th.
Oscar winner Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour) leads the cast as Jackson Lamb, described by Apple as “the brilliant but misanthropic leader of the spies, who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes as they frequently find themselves blundering around the smoke and mirrors of the espionage world.” Oscar nominee Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, and Freddie Fox also star.
The talented ensemble includes Chris Reilly, Samuel West, Sophie Okonedo, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan, and Oscar nominee Jonathan Pryce. Newcomers to the espionage drama are Ṣọpẹ Dìrísù as Sean Donovan, the former head of security at the British embassy in Istanbul, and Katherine Waterston as Alison Dunn, an MI5 agent who uncovers a dark secret at the heart of the agency.
Will Smith (not the actor) adapted Mick Herron’s popular Slough Horses book series for television. The third season will be based on Herron’s third novel of the series, Real Tigers. Saul Metzstein directs season three, with Smith, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, Jane Robertson, and Graham Yost executive producing.
The award-nominated series is produced by See-Saw Films for Apple TV+.
