Episode six of The CW’s Supergirl season three had Kara and Alex returning to visit their mom after the heartbreaking end of Alex’s relationship with Maggie. The episode provided a look back at Kara and Alex as teens, with Kara feeling out of place and Alex not exactly welcoming her adopted sister. The relationship transformed into a more sisterly bond following the murder of Kara’s only true friend.
Season three episode seven returns to National City and marks the return of Chris Wood as Mon-El. Episode seven is directed by Chad Lowe from a script by Gabriel Llanas and Anna Musky-Goldwyn. Titled “Wake Up,” episode seven will air on November 20, 2017.
The season three cast includes Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, David Harewood as J’onn J’onzz, Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Chris Wood as Mon-El of Daxam, and Odette Annable as Reign. The series is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Robert Rovner, and Jessica Queller.
The “Wake Up” Plot: CHAD LOWE RETURNS TO DIRECT; BETTY BUCKLEY GUEST STARS — When Winn (Jordan) and the team discover an alien ship has crash landed deep underwater beneath National City, Kara/Supergirl (Benoist) is called in to investigate. Meanwhile, Hank (Harewood) attempts to bond with his father, Myr’nn (guest star Carl Lumbly). Samantha (Annable), eager for some understanding of the changes she has been experiencing, looks to her estranged mother, Patricia Arias (guest star Betty Buckley), for answers.
