Do we really need a fourth season of Ted Lasso after season three was advertised as the series’ final season? Absolutely. 2026 could use a little kindness, and the return of Apple TV’s Ted Lasso fits the bill.
The fourth season will premiere on August 5, 2026, with new episodes streaming on Wednesdays. Jason Sudeikis returns playing the titular character. Additional returning series stars include Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton, Juno Temple as Keeley Jones, Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard, and Jeremy Swift as Leslie Higgins. Newcomers to the Emmy-winning comedy include Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.
“In season four, Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team,” reads Apple TV’s synopsis. “Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”
Season four writers include Brett Goldstein, Leann Bowen, Sarah Walker, Phoebe Walsh, and Julia Lindon. Jason Sudeikis, Goldstein, Bowen, Bill Lawrence, Jack Burditt, Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, Bill Wrubel, Jeff Ingold, and Liza Katzer serve as executive producers. Dylan Marron is the season four story editor.
