Paramount+’s Wolf Pack has signed up Rodrigo Santoro (Westworld) in a series regular role. Santoro will star opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar, an actor who knows a little bit about starring in supernatural tales after seven seasons playing the titular role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Wolf Pack is based on the books by Edo Van Belkom and has Teen Wolf‘s Jeff Davis writing and executive producing. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jason Ensler, Christian Taylor, and Capital Arts’ Joe Genier, Mike Elliott, and Karen Gorodetzky executive produce.

Filming’s currently underway in Atlanta, Georgia. Paramount+ is targeting a late 2022 premiere date.

The streaming service released the following description of the series:

Wolf Pack follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are forever changed when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature. Santoro plays Garrett Briggs, a Los Angeles park ranger dedicated to protecting the environment, and adoptive father to the remarkable teenagers. A man of strong values, he is also someone with dark secrets and deep suspicions, especially towards anyone questioning the relationship with his children who were found in the wildfire years earlier.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is Kristin Ramsey, Armani Jackson (Honor Society) stars as Everett, Bella Shepard (The Wilds) plays Blake, Chloe Rose Robertson (Wildflower) is Luna, and Tyler Lawrence Gray (Our Town) is Harlan.
