Later in the season, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice struggled to keep her composure when Tyler connected to her recently deceased mother, and pop music legend LaToya Jackson finally found closure with the passing of her icon brother, Michael Jackson, when Tyler revealed his death could have been prevented.”

USA Network will be giving the critically acclaimed dramatic series Mr. Robot one final season to wrap up storylines. The network confirmed the series will be back for a fourth and final season which is expected to air in 2019.

Filming will get underway later this year in New York.

“When I first created the world of Mr. Robot, I thought it would be a niche television series with a small, cult following,” said creator, showrunner and director Sam Esmail. “Over the past three years, it has become so much more, and I am continually humbled by the show’s recognition and by the amazing cast and crew that work tirelessly to help bring my vision to life. Since day one, I’ve been building toward one conclusion – and in breaking the next season of Mr. Robot, I have decided that conclusion is finally here. Everyone on the creative team, including the amazing people at USA and UCP, didn’t want to say goodbye, but we ultimately have too much respect for Elliot’s journey to extend past its inevitable ending. Therefore, Season 4 will serve as the final chapter of the Mr. Robot story. To fans of the show: thank you for the past three years, and I can’t wait to share this exciting final season with you.”

The ensemble includes Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe nominee Rami Malek, Golden Globe Award winner Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, Martin Wallström, Grace Gummer, Michael Cristofer and Emmy Award nominee BD Wong.

“From the beginning, Mr. Robot proved to be a show unlike any other on television, capturing the zeitgeist of our modern times with a unique point of view and definitive vision,” stated Chris McCumber, President, USA Network. “Working with Sam and the entire cast and crew has been nothing short of incredible – and we can’t wait to reveal the complete Mr. Robot story.”

Commenting on the final season, Co-Presidents of Universal Cable Productions Dawn Olmstead and George Cheeks said, “The story of Mr. Robot is completely original and exhilarating – striking a cultural chord at just the right time. As we begin production on the final chapter of this iconic series, we want to thank Sam for his unparalleled vision, the masterful crew and the passionate cast who breathe life into these rich characters.”

The Plot:Mr. Robot follows Elliot Alderson (Malek), a cyber-security engineer who, along with Mr. Robot (Slater) and fsociety, starts a revolution to change the world. Season 4 will pick up where the third season finale left off, delving into the pros and cons of Elliot hitting “send” on the email that could reverse 5/9.

The dangers of striving to put a man on the Moon take center stage in the new trailer for the dramatic film, First Man, based on a true story. The new two-minute trailer follows Ryan Gosling as astronaut Neil Armstrong as he prepares for his flight aboard Apollo 11.

Ethan Embry (Grace and Frankie), Shea Whigham (Fargo, Boardwalk Empire), Corey Stoll (The Strain), and Pablo Schreiber (American Gods, Orange is the New Black) also star in the film which chronicles astronaut Neil Armstrong’s mission to the moon.

La La Land‘s Damien Chazelle directed from a script by Academy Award® winner Josh Singer (Spotlight, The Post). Temple Hill Entertainment’s Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen (The Twilight Saga, The Fault in Our Stars) produced along with Isaac Klausner (Love, Simon) and director Chazelle. ‘The Other Side of the Wind’ Trailer and Poster: Orson Welles’ Last Film is Finally Completed

Filming was never completed on Orson Welles’ final project and it sat, untouched, for decades before filmmaker Frank Marshall and Filip Jan Rymsza began the effort to complete Welles’ work. 40 years after production began, The Other Side of the Wind will have its world premiere at the 2018 Venice Film Festival before being released in select theaters and Netflix on November 2, 2018.

The completed film is produced by Frank Marshall and Filip Jan Rymsza. Peter Bogdanovich, Jens Koethner Kaul, Beatrice Welles, Carla Rosen-Vacher, Olga Kagan, and Jon Anderson are the executive producers.

The cast includes John Huston, Peter Bogdanovich, Oja Kodar, Robert Random, Lilli Palmer, Edmond O’Brien, Cameron Mitchell, Mercedes McCambridge, Susan Strasberg, Norman Foster, Paul Stewart, and Dennis Hopper.

“Like so many others who grew up worshipping the craft and vision of Orson Welles, this is a dream come true,” said Ted Sarandos, Netflix Chief Content Officer. “The promise of being able to bring to the world this unfinished work of Welles with his true artistic intention intact, is a point of pride for me and for Netflix. Cinephiles and film enthusiasts around the world will experience the magic of Orson Welles once again or for the very first time.”

“I can’t quite believe it, but after 40 years of trying, I am so very grateful for the passion and perseverance from Netflix that has enabled us to, at long last, finally get into the cutting room to finish Orson’s last picture,” said Frank Marshall.

The Other Side of the Wind Plot: In 1970, legendary director Orson Welles (Citizen Kane) began filming what would ultimately be his final cinematic opus with a cast of Hollywood luminaries including John Huston, Peter Bogdanovich, Susan Strasberg and Welles’s partner during his later years, Oja Kodar. Beset by financial issues, the production ultimately stretched years and gained notoriety, never to be completed or released. More than a thousand reels of film negatives languished in a Paris vault until March of 2017, when producers Frank Marshall (who served as Welles’s production manager during his initial shooting) and Filip Jan Rymsza spearheaded efforts to have the film completed after over 40 years.

Featuring a new score by Oscar-winning composer Michel Legrand and reassembled by a technical team including Oscar-winning editor Bob Murawski, The Other Side of the Wind is Orson Welles’s vision fulfilled. It tells the story of grizzled director J.J. “Jake” Hannaford (Huston) who returns to Los Angeles after years in self-exile in Europe with plans to complete work on his own innovative comeback movie. Both a satire of the classic studio system and the New Hollywood that was shaking things up, Welles’s last artistic testament is a fascinating time capsule of a now-distant era in moviemaking as well as the long-awaited “new” work from an indisputable master.

‘Charmed’ and ‘All American’ Show Off New Season 1 Posters

The CW’s released new posters promoting the first seasons of the new dramas All American and Charmed. Both shows will make their debut as part of The CW’s primetime fall lineup in October.

According to the network, the All American and Charmed posters were shot by photographer Marc Hom. All American‘s poster includes series stars Taye Diggs as Billy Baker and Daniel Ezra as Spencer James accompanied by the tag line “Dream Big. Stay Real.”

The 2018 revamped version of Charmed stars Madeleine Mantock as Macy Vaughn (Madeleine Mantock), Melonie Diaz as Melanie “Mel” Vera, and Sarah Jeffery as Margarita “Maggie” Vera. The threesome are featured on the poster along with the show’s tag line “Stronger Together.”

All American will premiere on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT. Charmed is making its debut on Sunday, October 14th at 9pm ET/PT.

The All American Plot: “Spencer James (Ezra) is a rising high school football player and A student at South Crenshaw High. Compton is the place he calls home. But when Beverly High School’s football coach Billy Baker (Diggs) recruits him to join the team in Beverly Hills, Spencer’s mother, Grace (Karimah Westbrook), and his best friend, Coop (Bre-Z), convince Spencer it’s an opportunity he has to seize. Now Spencer must navigate two worlds — the south side neighborhood that he knows and the affluent Beverly Hills world that has offered him an opportunity for something bigger.

When Spencer is forced to move in with Billy and his family to protect his transfer permit to Beverly, Billy’s son Jordan (Michael Evans Behling), the team’s starting quarterback, is less than thrilled to be sharing his father’s attention — or the team spotlight — with Spencer. While Spencer struggles to find his footing, he makes an unlikely friend in Jordan’s sister, Olivia (Samantha Logan), who is dealing with her own demons. He also quickly develops a crush on his classmate, Layla (Greta Onieogou), something her boyfriend, Asher (Cody Christian), quickly realizes — and so, he sets out to drive Spencer off the football team and out of Beverly Hills for good.”

The Charmed Plot: “‘Stronger together.’ That’s what Marisol (guest star Valerie Cruz) tells her daughters, firebrand social justice warrior Melanie “Mel” Vera (Diaz), and her sister, fun-loving Maggie (Jeffery), about their family. Mel is a graduate student in the women’s studies department her mother heads at Hilltowne University; Maggie is a freshman considering sorority rush (to Mel’s amused dismay) and going “on” again with her on-again/off-again boyfriend, Brian (guest star Charlie Gillespie). But then, a shocking tragedy shatters their world and threatens their sibling bond: Marisol dies in a horrifying accident. Or was it? Three months later, we find Mel unable to accept the official explanation of their mother’s death, while Maggie accuses her of being morbidly obsessed. And then, another huge shock shows up at their front door: they have an older sister – brilliant geneticist Macy ( Mantock), whom their mother kept a secret all these years! Macy is new in town and doesn’t know a soul (except for Galvin (Ser’Darius Blain), the cute fellow scientist who’s been showing her around). Macy is eager to connect with Mel and Maggie, but Mel can’t handle another shock, and shuts her out.

With the emotions of all three sisters running high, each of the girls suddenly exhibit impossible new abilities: Mel can freeze time, Maggie starts hearing others’ thoughts and Macy has telekinetic powers. But don’t worry, there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation…or so says Harry Greenwood (Rupert Evans) – who as far as they know is the officious new chair of the women’s studies department – when he gathers the three sisters together to reveal they’re actually powerful witches, as was their mother. And he’s not really a professor, he’s their “Whitelighter,” a witch’s advisor and guide! Not only that, but Mel was right: their mother’s death was no accident – she was murdered by unknown dark forces. It’s a lot to take in, but ultimately the sisters accept their new destiny as The Charmed Ones…and their new duty to protect humankind from the demons that walk among us…one of whom killed their mother. With the Power of Three, they are stronger together… even if they have no idea what they’re really up against.”

‘Operation Finale’ Movie Review: Oscar Isaac Stars in This Intense Thriller

“I would happily put a bullet through his eyes, but that’s not what we’re doing here. This is strictly catch and extract,” says Peter Malkin (Oscar Isaac) to Hanna Elian (Melanie Laurent) while trying to convince her to join his team of Mossad agents who are trying to bring to justice a major Nazi war criminal in the dramatic thriller, Operation Finale.

The film takes place in the early 1960s when Israel’s intelligence agency discovers the location of the high-ranking Nazi officer who’s credited with coming up with “The Final Solution” for Hitler, Adolf Eichmann (Ben Kingsley). It seems Eichmann was able to escape during the chaos at the end of WWII and has made a new life for himself, his wife, and his sons in Buenos Aires, Argentina under new identities. Not wanting to just execute the war criminal but to have him stand trial in Israel for his crimes, the head of Mossad assigns agent Peter Malkin and his team to sneak into the country, kidnap Eichmann, and smuggle him out of Argentina to Israel.

Things quickly become incredibly difficult, complicated, and dangerous for Malkin and his team. After they kidnap Eichmann and take him to their safe house, one problem and political complication after another arise forcing Malkin to enter into an intense intellectual game of cat and mouse with the former Nazi official.

Based on historical events, Operation Finale is an extremely compelling and engaging war/spy thriller with brilliant performances by both Oscar Isaac and Sir Ben Kingsley. It’s a fascinating true-life story of bringing to justice one of the most evil and heinous men ever to walk the earth and provides an behind-the-scenes look at all the risks involved in the undertaking.

Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) delivers a powerful performance as Peter Malkin, the Mossad agent who usually executes those he hunts and is very efficient at it. Isaac displays wonderfully the conflict inside Malkin who would like nothing more than to execute Eichmann but resists so that his country can have their public trial to make the world aware of all Eichmann’s unspeakable acts.

Ben Kingsley (Schindler’s List) once again gives nothing less than an unforgettable performance as war criminal Adolf Eichmann who’s trying to peacefully live out the rest of his life with his family in Argentina. When he’s taken by Peter and interrogated, Eichmann slowly begins to reveal that he believes his acts and crimes during WWII were justified and necessary. The interrogation scenes between Isaac and Kingsley are the best in the film, with incredible intensity and strong emotions displayed by these incredible actors.

The direction by Chris Weitz (About a Boy), production design, and cinematography are all superb, bringing back 1960s Israel and Argentina beautifully and at times terrifyingly as well.

Intense and fascinating, Operation Finale is an extremely well-crafted, suspenseful spy thriller with amazing performances from its two leading men. It’s one of this year’s best films thus far.

GRADE: A-

MPAA Rating: PG-13 for disturbing thematic content and related violent images, and for some language.
