The key pieces of Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie puzzle are in place, with the streamer announcing its Ingalls family cast. Luke Bracey (Elvis) is set to play Charles Ingalls and Crosby Fitzgerald (Palm Royale) will play Caroline Ingalls.
Skywalker Hughes (I, Object) is on board to play Laura’s older sister, Mary Ingalls. Netflix announced earlier in the day that Alice Halsey (Lessons in Chemistry) will star as Laura.
Rebecca Sonnenshine (The Boys) is the showrunner and executive produces alongside Dana Fox, Susanna Fogel, Joy Gorman Wettels for Joy Coalition, and Trip Friendly for Friendly Family Productions.
Netflix released the following series and character descriptions:
“Part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West, this fresh adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s iconic semi-autobiographical Little House books offers a kaleidoscopic view of the struggles and triumphs of those who shaped the frontier.”
Charles (Bracey) won his wife’s heart by carrying her three miles through the snow to a winter dance. He’s a man who’d fit in seamlessly into the 21st century. Ruggedly handsome, charming, outgoing. A farmer and a trapper. A carpenter and an artist. A poet, a musician, a skilled storyteller. The original Girl Dad. He is an optimist, always glass half-full. But he is also a wanderer. A seeker. A man forever in search of greener pastures.
Caroline (Fitzgerald) did not marry her husband out of convenience — they fell truly, madly, deeply in love. It was a great romance — and it still is. She’s got a playful side, a romantic side — but at the end of the day, she’s the one who keeps this family on track. Like moms do. She’s quiet and patient and practical — but with a core of steel. She gave up her teaching career to have a family, but that yearning for independence never quite went away. Her marriage is one of equals — something rare in the 19th century. And though her trust in her husband is tested, the strength of their love endures.
Mary Ingalls (Hughes) is Laura’s older sister and polar opposite. A rule follower. Quiet and studious. Always angling to be the good daughter, the obedient one, the ladylike one, the prettier one. Other parents love Mary. Unlike her sister, she is uncomfortable in the natural world: the sun is too hot, the snow is too cold. She loves pretty ribbons and reading poetry and long afternoons of sewing. In other words, Laura and Mary are oil and water. Best friends and mortal enemies. They love each other deeply and hate each other intensely. But in the end, they always have each other’s backs — there is no choice but to protect each other in this wild new landscape.
CBS’s Ghosts wraps up a season that served up a puritan ghost freaked out by modern life, brought Bela back to help with Jay’s restaurant, and killed off Isaac’s favorite dinosaur-living stripper. And season four episode 22, the season finale, welcomes Matt Walsh back as Elias Woodstone for an episode celebrating Sam and Isaac’s vampire book. “The Devil Went Down to Woodstone” will air on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 8:30pm ET/PT.
“The Devil Went Down to Woodstone” Plot: Sam and Jay host a big party for the launch of Sam and Isaac’s vampire book on the fourth season finale. Punam Patel and Mary Holland reprise their guest starring roles.
Rose McIver stars as Sam, Utkarsh Ambudkar is Jay, Brandon Scott Jones is Isaac, and Richie Moriarty plays Pete. Danielle Pinnock is Alberta, Asher Grodman is Trevor, Román Zaragoza stars as Sasappis, Rebecca Wisocky plays Hetty, Devan Chandler Long is Thorfinn, and Sheila Carrasco is Flower. Tristan D. Lalla guest stars as Mark.
Ghosts is a single-camera comedy about Samantha and Jay, a cheerful freelance journalist and up-and-coming chef from the city, respectively, who threw both caution and money to the wind when they decided to convert Woodstone Mansion, which Sam inherited, into a bed & breakfast—only to find it was inhabited by the many spirits of deceased residents who now call it home.
The departed souls are a close-knit, eclectic group that includes a saucy Prohibition-era lounge singer (Danielle Pinnock); a pompous 18th-century militiaman (Brandon Scott Jones); a ‘60s hippie fond of hallucinogens (Sheila Carrasco); an overly upbeat ‘80s scout troop leader (Richie Moriarty); a cod-obsessed Viking explorer from 1009 (Devon Chandler Long); a slick ‘90s finance bro (Asher Grodman); a sarcastic and witty native from the 16th-century (Román Zaragoza); and a society woman and wife of a 19th-century robber baron who is Sam’s ancestor (Rebecca Wisocky), to name a few. The opening of the B&B has been a source of intrigue, anxiety, and curiosity among the spirits, but they will gladly put up with the commotion as long as they can continue to interact with a living inhabitant.
Filmmaker Danny Philippou describes Bring Her Back, which is not a sequel to Talk to Me, as harrowing, traumatic, and fun. A24’s latest look at the much-anticipated new original horror film from Danny and Michael Philippou is creepy and weird, and Michael promises it’s more psychological than Talk to Me.
Sally Hawkins (Wonka) stars along with Billy Barratt (Invasion), Sora Wong, Jonah Wren Phillips (Sweet Tooth), and Sally-Anne Upton (Neighbours). The cast also includes Stephen Phillips (Apple Cider Vinegar) and Mischa Heywood (The Wonder Gang).
“A brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother,” reads A24’s cryptic description. The Philippous write and direct, with Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton serving as producers.
Yul Vazquez (Severance) begins his recurring guest star role as Sheriff Caleb on ABC’s Will Trent season three episode 17, and fans on YouTube think it’s possible the sheriff’s Will’s father. After all, the promo reveals Will’s new enemy has a “shocking secret.” Episode 17, directed by Erika Christensen, will air on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 8pm ET/PT.
“Why Hello, Sheriff” Plot: While investigating a murder in a rural town and clashing with the local sheriff, Will uncovers surprising truths about his past. Meanwhile, Angie makes an unexpected discovery, and Ormewood continues to struggle with his diagnosis.
Ramón Rodríguez leads the cast as the titular character. Erika Christensen stars as Angie Polaski, Iantha Richardson is Faith Mitchell, Jake McLaughlin is Michael Ormewood, and Sonja Sohn is Amanda Wagner. Gina Rodriguez joins the cast as Marion Alba for season three.

Shudder’s unveiled the official trailer for Hell Motel, a new limited series from the twisted minds behind Slasher. Emmy winner Eric McCormack (Slasher: Ripper) reunites with creators Aaron Martin and Ian Carpenter for the eight-episode series premiering on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 on Shudder and AMC+.
“When Aaron Martin and Ian Carpenter reached out to tell me they had crafted another irredeemable a-hole for me, my response was, ‘where do I sign?'” stated Eric McCormack. “If you loved hating Basil Garvey, prepare to feel an instant disdain for Hemmingway.”
The series also features Paula Brancati, Shaun Benson, Atticus Mitchell, Emmanuel Kabongo, Jim Watson, Genevieve DeGraves, Icesis Couture, Brynn Godenir, and Michelle Nolden.
“Hell Motel sees a group of 10 true crime obsessives invited to the opening weekend of the newly renovated Cold River Motel, the site of a 30-year-old unsolved Satanic Mass Murder. History repeats itself when the guests get stranded and start getting knocked off one by one during a murder spree that grows exponentially more gruesome than the original with each kill.
The description continues, “McCormack takes on the role of Hemmingway, a chef with a wickedly sinister flair, and is joined by fellow motel’s guests Paige (Brancati), a former scream queen actress looking to revive a career that has seemingly left her behind; Crow (Benson), a new-age medium with an apparent connection to the massacre’s victims; Blake (Mitchell), a true crime writer and himself a survivor of a mass killing; Kawayan (Kabongo), a talented artist with a dark focus on murder; Andy (Watson), a bookish academic at the forefront of contemporary true crime studies; and Adriana (DeGraves), a hybristophilic flight attendant with several notorious serial killer notches on her bedpost,” reads Shudder’s synopsis. “Canadian drag queen Icesis Couture also makes a guest appearance as Magenta, a stylish real estate agent who sells the Coldwater Motel to its new owners Ruby (Godenir) and Portia (Nolden).”
Aaron Martin and Ian Carpenter executive produce, with Carpenter serving as showrunner. Christina Jennings, Scott Garvie, Thomas P. Vitale, and director Adam MacDonald also executive produce.
“With Hell Motel we take a good look in the mirror as both horror fans and horror creators, delving into the allure of a genre of storytelling as old as drama itself. But as any horror fan who’s ever uttered ‘Bloody Mary’ three times into a mirror knows, you’ve got to be careful what you wish for… ,” teased Martin and Carpenter.

Netflix is revisiting the iconic Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder with a new adaptation of Little House on the Prairie. The books have sold well over 73 million copies, and the upcoming series reflects the continued interest in the world Wilder created back in the 1930s.
The streamer announced Alice Halsey (Lessons in Chemistry) will star in the pivotal role of Laura Ingalls. Per Netflix: “Everyone sees themselves in Laura. That’s why these books endure. Laura is a disruptor. Honest to a fault. Questions authority. She’s our window into this adventure. An American icon in waiting. Forget your modern ideas of childhood—the stakes are high for children living in the 19th century. They have responsibilities—and freedoms—that seem extraordinary in this era of helicopter parenting.
Mixed in with small pleasures and petty disputes with her older sister are true feats of survival and bravery. She is observant, tender, strong-willed, hot-tempered. She resists the bounds of 19th-century ladylike behavior—she likes to run barefoot and feel the sun on her face. She is curious and optimistic and fearless, like her father; resourceful and hardworking and honest, like her mother.
She is quick to call out anyone who is cruel or unjust. She loves fiercely and unapologetically and is utterly devoted to her dog, Jack. She rubs some adults the wrong way—too many hard questions, too much personality, too much energy—but to the people who matter, she’s a bright light. She absorbs every detail she sees around her, collecting them for stories she will someday share with the world.”
Rebecca Sonnenshine (The Boys, Vampire Diaries) will serve as the showrunner and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Dana Fox, Susanna Fogel, Joy Gorman Wettels for Joy Coalition; and Trip Friendly for Friendly Family Productions. Sarah Adina Smith (The Drop) will direct the first episode.
We’re down to just three remaining new episodes of CBS’s FBI: International, which wraps up its four season run on May 20th. After a two week break, the action drama returns on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 9pm ET/PT with episode 20, “We’re Out of Here.”
“We’re Out of Here” Plot: When an American official in charge of a high-profile three-way prisoner swap in Belgrade is detained in Romania, he requests the Fly Team step in and carry out the exchange. When their convoy is attacked and one of the prisoners escapes, the team must do everything in their power to find the missing prisoner before the highly sensitive mission is compromised.
Episode 20 was directed by Jon Cassar and written by Roxanne Paredes.
Jesse Lee Soffer stars as Supervisory Special Agent Wesley “Wes” Mitchell, Carter Redwood plays Special Agent Andre Raines, Vinessa Vidotto is Special Agent Cameron Vo, Eva-Jane Willis is Europol Agent Megan “Smitty” Garretson, and Christina Wolfe plays Special Agent Amanda Tate.
FBI: International is the third iteration of the successful FBI brand that follows the elite operatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s International Fly Team. Headquartered in Budapest, they travel throughout Europe with the mission of tracking and neutralizing threats against American citizens wherever they may be, putting their lives on the line to protect the U.S. and its people. Newly embedded to the Fly Team is charming and rakish Supervisory Special Agent Wesley “Wes” Mitchell, whose impeccable instincts and unconventional tactics deepen his drive to stop at nothing to achieve justice.
Special Agent Andre Raines shines in the field and makes good use of his accounting background in tracking criminal enterprises’ moving money. Special Agent Cameron Vo, a competitive West Point grad, excels at interrogation and strategy, and Megan “Smitty” Garretson, a streetwise Europol agent with an extensive undercover background, uses her expertise to liaise with each host country they inhabit. Special Agent Amanda Tate, a confident and tech-savvy intel analyst, stays quick on her feet and remains calm in the midst of chaos. Always at the scene where American interests are at risk, FBI: International is a globe-trotting depiction of law enforcement overseas.
Cynthia Erivo hosts the 2025 Tony Awards (Photo Credit: CBS)
Buena Vista Social Club, Death Becomes Her, and Maybe Happy Ending lead the 2025 Tony Awards nominees, scoring 10 nominations each. Dead Outlaw, John Proctor is the Villain, Sunset Blvd, and The Hills of California earned seven nominations, followed by Floyd Collins, Just in Time, Purpose, and The Picture of Dorian Gray with six.
Among the stars earning Tony Award nominations are George Clooney, Mia Farrow, Jonathan Groff, Darren Criss, Bob Odenkirk, Sadie Sink, and Sarah Snook. And with her nomination for Gypsy, Audra McDonald is now the most Tony-nominated performer in Broadway history.
“I’m so grateful, and that’s overwhelming to think about. I’m so lucky. The one thing I always wanted to do growing up, one thing that gave me joy and kind of gave me purpose and made me feel most like myself was to perform theater,” said McDonald in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “And so to be at this point and to have that kind of recognition is just overwhelming. I’m grateful, and it doesn’t seem real, because I don’t know how to process that.”
Three-time Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo (Wicked, Harriet) will host the 78th Annual Tony Awards taking place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The show will be broadcast live on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at 5pm PT/8pm ET on CBS.

Almost Family‘s Megalyn Echikunwoke guest stars as Jason’s ex-coworker on Fox’s Alert: Missing Persons Unit season three episode seven, “April.” Episode seven will air on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 9pm ET/PT.
“April” Plot: When a woman shopping for an engagement ring is kidnapped, her boyfriend asks MPU to find her and presents evidence – weapons, duct tape, and 10 wedding rings – that his father, who is currently in the hospital, could be a stalker. MPU deduces that the man’s girlfriend could be his father’s latest victim and Jason is determined to interrogate the suspect but is stopped by Homicide Detective Lt. Gabrielle Bennett, lead on the Ring Bearer Task Force and Jason’s ex co-worker on the Philly PD.
Also, when Wayne is offered a job out of town, she asks a reluctant Jason to see if she can get hired on at the MPU.
Scott Caan leads the season three cast as Jason Grant. Ryan Broussard plays Mike Sherman, Adeola Role is Kemi Adebayo, and Alisha-Marie Ahamed plays Wayne Pascal. Guest stars include Diana Bang as Helen Gale and Ian Tracey as Charlie McGannon. Malcolm-Jamal Warner appears in a recurring guest-starring role as Chief Inspector Bill Houston.
Alert: Missing Persons Unit is a procedural drama set in the Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit (MPU). Each episode features a heart-pounding, life-or-death search for a missing person, with Jason Grant working his magic out in the field and Nikki Batista heading the team. Their job is to find the missing or abducted and reunite them with their loved ones. Jason and Nikki, once married, have a very personal connection to these cases as their own son went missing and was never found.
Their highly skilled team includes Nikki’s new husband, Mike Sherman, whose bantering bromance with Jason never gets in the way of results; Kemi Adebayo, a spiritually savvy detective with an astonishing knowledge base; and Helen Gale, MPU’s effervescent young forensic scientist. Jason also relies on his relationship with master hacker Wayne Pascal, both on and off the clock.
As the third season begins, MPU is tasked with cases ranging from a missing female collegiate rowing team who disappeared while on the water, a missing street artist due to donate his rare bone marrow to save his dying brother, and Nikki’s ongoing and dangerous association with Irish mob boss Charlie McGannon. But the most harrowing case to date is when MPU must band together in a race to find one of their own. Now more than ever, together, the team must work to find the missing or abducted and help reunite them with their loved ones before it’s too late.
