With filming halfway done, Netflix is taking fans behind the scenes of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. The two-minute video shows the cast on the set reminiscing about their experiences on the series, with Millie Bobby Brown pointing out she was just 10 years old during season one and now she’s 20 as the show wraps up. The cast promises season five will be the biggest and best season yet, and they’re savoring every moment on set.
The final season stars Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, and Noah Schnapp as Will Byers. Sadie Sink is Max Mayfield, Natalia Dyer is Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton is Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery is Steve Harrington, and Maya Hawke is Robin Buckley. Winona Ryder stars as Joyce Byers, David Harbour is Jim Hopper, Priah Ferguson is Erica Sinclair, Brett Gelman plays Murray, and Cara Buono is Karen Wheeler. Jamie Campbell Bower plays Peter Ballard and Amybeth McNulty is Vickie.
“A love letter to the ‘80s classic genre films that captivated a generation, Stranger Things is a thrilling drama set in the seemingly normal Midwestern town of Hawkins, Indiana. After a boy vanishes into thin air, his close-knit group of friends and family search for answers and are pulled into a high-stakes and deadly series of events,” reads Netflix’s synopsis. “Beneath the surface of their ordinary town lurks an extraordinary supernatural mystery, along with top-secret government experiments and a dangerous gateway that connects our world to a powerful yet sinister realm. Friendships will be tested and lives will be altered as what they discover will change Hawkins and possibly the world — forever.”
Matt and Ross Duffer created the critically acclaimed sci-fi drama, which premiered in July 2016. Although the series is ending with season five, the world of Stranger Things lives on with the stage play Stranger Things: The First Shadow and an untitled animated spinoff.

Jodie Turner-Smith has joined the cast of Paramount+ with Showtime’s The Agency, a spy thriller starring two-time Oscar nominee Michael Fassbender. Turner-Smith’s the latest addition to a cast that includes Oscar nominee Jeffrey Wright and Richard Gere as series regulars.
“Jodie Turner-Smith is a force who captivates audiences with her raw emotional power,” stated Nina L. Diaz, President of Content and Chief Creative Officer, SHOWTIME/MTV Entertainment Studios & Paramount Media Networks. “We are thrilled she is joining this extraordinary cast for The Agency alongside Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright, and Richard Gere.”
The Agency is based on the French series Le Bureau des Légendes created by Eric Rochant. Tony Award winner Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth are writing the 10-episode season and serving as executive producers. Two-time BAFTA winner Joe Wright (Pride and Prejudice) is directing the first two episodes and also executive produces.
Additional executive producers include Michael Fassbender, TOP-The Originals Productions’ Alex Berger, and Smokehouse Pictures’ George Clooney and Grant Heslov. Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios’ Keith Cox and Nina L. Diaz executive produce, as well as David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, and Bob Yari of 101 Studios. “The all-new political thriller follows Martian (Fassbender), a covert CIA agent, ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station. When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites. His career, his real identity, and his mission are pitted against his heart, hurling them both into a deadly game of international intrigue and espionage,” reads Paramount+ with Showtime’s synopsis.
Turner-Smith is playing Sami Zahir, a Professor of Social Anthropology who has a history with Martian. Gere stars as Bosko, the London Station Chief with a storied past after serving as an 8-year undercover agent. Wright plays Henry, the Director of Operations and mentor to Martian.
The espionage political thriller is currently in production in London.
Jodie Turner-Smith’s credits include Queen & Slim, The Acolyte, Sex Education, Murder Mystery 2, and White Noise. Turner-Smith recently finished work on TRON: Ares, starring Jared Leto and Evan Peters, and Bad Monkey with Vince Vaughn.

The 2024 San Diego Comic-Con is edging closer to normal after years of Covid-19 and strikes affecting the panel lineup. While the schedule’s light on film panels, the same can’t be said for television. There are plenty of TV panels to choose from over the first three days of SDCC 2024, including The Boys, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, The Penguin, and Those About to Die.
The casts of Teacup, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, What We Do in the Shadows, Snowpiercer, Abbott Elementary, Ghosts, Wynonna Earp: Vengeance, Silo, and Dexter: Original Sin are also making the trek to San Diego. Star Trek and The Walking Dead Universes will be well represented, and more than a dozen animated shows are hosting panels including Futurama, The Simpsons, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and SpongeBob SquarePants.

HBO’s House of the Dragon season two, episode five picks up with Lord Corlys Velaryon mourning the death of his beloved wife, Princess Rhaenys. The Queen Who Never Was chose to remain and fight rather than flee the battlefield. Rhaenys and Meleys died heroic deaths after engaging in battle with Prince Aemond’s Vhagar and King Aegon’s Sunfyre.
(Spoilers ahead!)
Meleys’ head is dragged through the streets of King’s Landing. The announcement that the traitor dragon was slain by King Aegon (she wasn’t) doesn’t have the desired effect among the townsfolk. They’re more frightened than impressed. If a dragon – thought to be a god – can fall, so can anyone.
King Aegon’s also carried through the streets but without any fanfare, hidden in a lidded container. His horribly injured body is carried to a bed where he’s immediately tended to by maesters. His skin has melted onto his Valyrian armor; removing the armor also removes the skin. He bleeds from multiple wounds, and Queen Dowager Alicent (Olivia Cooke) is told it’s impossible to say whether he’ll live.
Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) has broken bones from the fiery fall to earth on Sunfyre. His dragon was critically injured but clings to life at Rook’s Rest.
Alicent asks Ser Criston (Fabien Frankel) to explain what happened, and he confirms 900 men died, but they took the castle. A small garrison is quartered there to protect it. Criston refuses to be forthcoming when Alicent asks about Aegon. “His Grace fought valiantly,” says Criston.
Criston pauses sharpening his sword when asked about Aemond’s part in this battle. He finally lies and claims he cannot say.
At Dragonstone, Ser Alfred Broome (Jamie Kenna) Is furious their largest dragon is dead and Criston’s taken Rook’s Rest and Duskendale. Criston’s marching around the Crownlands unchallenged. Their hopes lie in Prince Daemon raising an army, but he continues to refuse to respond to ravens.
Ser Alfred still backs Queen Rhaenyra but claims the gentler sex is not made for war. Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) points out Alfred hasn’t any battle experience either. The Queen orders stores and weapons sent to Maidenpool and Crackclaw Point for their garrisons, but her council wants Duskendale and Rook’s Rest answered for first. A debate between council members follows, with some suggesting an immediate strike on King’s Landing while Vhagar is recovering from battle.
They’re speaking around Rhaenyra and not including her in the discussion until she declares she will take her dragon into battle. She’s told it’s out of the question; they can’t risk losing her.
Prince Jacaerys (Harry Collett) reacts to the meeting by taking matters into his own hands. Lady Baela (Bethany Antonia) stops him before he leaves and Jace reveals he’s on his way to Harrenhal to speak with Daemon. Jace hates being the “coddled princeling” and refuses to remain at Dragonstone. As they’re talking, Jace reconsiders his destination and decides his best course of action might be treating with the Freys. They control the crossing at the Twins – a direct route into the Riverlands. The men of Winterfell could use it, and it would mean Jace doesn’t need Daemon to act.
Speaking of Daemon (Matt Smith), he’s busy threatening Lord Amos Bracken and his men with a fiery death by dragon if they don’t submit. The threat fails and the Brackens remain committed to King Aegon, unwilling to throw in with the Blackwoods and their “hired” dragon. Ser Willem Blackwood (Jack Parry-Jones) believes the Brackens deserve to burn, but Daemon allows them to live.
Daemon confesses that wasn’t the outcome he expected. He also confesses men who’d rather burn are the sort of men he needs. He suggests that Ser Willem should try something other than fighting to get them to bend the knee. The Crown can’t act, but the Blackwoods can use other tactics to force the Brackens to submit.
Lady Jeyne Arryn (Amanda Collin) welcomes Lady Rhaena (Phoebe Campbell) to the Vale but is disappointed in the lack of dragons. The only way to attack the Eyrie is from the sky, and dragons are essential to its defense. Lady Jeyne promised Rhaenyra 15,000 men but only if Rhaenyra provided protection. The young dragons with Rhaena aren’t enough, but Rhaena begs to differ. Lady Jeyne never specified the size of the dragon she requested.

Queen Rhaenyra shares her thoughts with her new confidante, Mysaria (Sonoya Mizuno), confessing she’s at a loss as to what her council expects of her. She wasn’t trained to fight growing up and instead was prepared for politics. Rhaenyra refuses to send for Daemon; that would make her look weak.
Mysaria shocks Rhaenyra when she declares that Criston Cole made a mistake. The townsfolk see it as a bad omen, and that, combined with the lack of food and an injured king, makes them anxious for peace. Mysaria suggests Rhaenyra shouldn’t underestimate those forgotten people living in the shadow of the Red Keep. Rumors need to be spread and Mysaria believes that’s something others can do on Rhaenyra’s behalf. “There is more than one way to fight a war,” says Mysaria.
Rhaenyra has a private conversation with Lady Baela, sharing memories of Princess Rhaenys. They recall the night Rhaenys claimed Meleys, and Rhaenyra describes her as fierce. She’s grateful for what Rhaenys did for her, for her support, and for her wisdom. Rhaenyra believes Baela is like Rhaenys and asks that she take a message to her grandsire, Lord Corlys.
Daemon has a vision of his naked mother praising him as the strongest one while they have sex. In the vision, she tells him that he, not Viserys, was made to wear the crown. He snaps out of the vision when Ser Simon Strong (Sir Simon Russell Beale) asks him about the duck that Daemon isn’t eating. Daemon claims he’s not hungry as Ser Strong discusses the battle of Rook’s Rest. Both sides suffered big losses, and what’s next is unknown.
Daemon’s convinced Ser Willem Blackwood is bringing the Brackens to heel and will change their allegiance. They’ll garrison at Harrenhal, but Ser Strong needs coin to continue to repair Harrenhal since Larys holds the purse strings. He hopes Queen Rhaenyra will send coin, but Daemon shuts that down. He personally will guarantee the payment.
They have a disagreement over Daemon’s proper title, which Daemon insists is king. Ser Strong believes he’s a prince or even king consort. “That last bit seems unnecessary, don’t you think?” replies Daemon, effectively ending the discussion.

Grand Maester Orwyle (Kurt Egyiawan) addresses the small council, reporting King Aegon suffered grievous burns, many broken bones, and internal injuries. He remains unconscious and his fate lies with the gods.
Queen Dowager Alicent wants the kingdom informed of Aegon’s great deeds and a regent publicly named to take his place for now. Alicent’s shocked when the small council, other than the Grand Maester, refuses to consider her as regent and instead sides with Prince Aemond. Even her sex partner, Criston, votes for Aemond as does Larys, pointing out they shouldn’t raise up their own woman to fight against Queen Rhaenyra.
Prince Regent Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) moves to King Aegon’s chair and takes over the meeting, asking for a current report of their armies. Alicent is lost in her own thoughts as Aemond orders Lord Lannister to tell his brother to march faster while the Riverlands are in disarray. Aemond’s informed the townsfolk are fleeing the city, and he orders the gates closed in response. No one can leave without permission.
He also orders the ratcatchers’ bodies cut down.
Hugh (Kieran Bow) and his wife, Kat (Ellora Torchia), care for their sick daughter without proper food or supplies. Kat wants to leave now before Rhaenyra reacts to Meleys and Rhaenys’ deaths by burning King’s Landing. Her brother in Tumbleton will take them in. She knows King Aegon will never pay Hugh for his work.
Alicent holds her nose as she walks past the ratcatchers’ decaying bodies to confront Criston Cole. She asks about Criston’s loyalty, and he recalls seeing men in melted armor and men on fire still walking. “We have given the war to the dragons,” says Cole, as if he wasn’t in any way responsible. “A dragonrider should lead us.”
Alicent believes she’s been cast aside, while Criston views it as sparing her the terrible things to come now that the dragons are unleashed.
A mass exodus is halted as the gates are shut so the townsfolk cannot leave. Hugh and Kat are now trapped in King’s Landing as everyone’s told to disperse by order of Prince Regent Aemond. The crowd reacts in shock at the announcement, unaware King Aegon is no longer in charge.

Prince Jace sits with Lord Forrest Frey (Kenneth Collard) and Lady Sabitha Frey (Sarah Woodward), his dragon perched nearby. Lord Grover Tully hasn’t declared for Rhaenyra so House Frey can’t raise arms against King Aegon’s army. Jace insists Jason Lannister needs to be met on the battlefield by Lord Cregan Stark’s men before he reaches Riverrun. Lady Frey reveals they don’t care about Lord Tully; their concern is with Vhagar. Jace offers the Freys his protection as well as the protection of Daemon, who will do as Queen Rhaenyra commands.
The Freys are comforted by this development, but Forrest wants to be named lord of Harrenhal. Jace agrees but only if they bend the knee to his mother.
Construction work is underway at Harrenhal with Daemon working alongside the men. Alys Rivers (Gayle Rankin) forces him to take a break while she shares rumors of women and children being taken from their homes. Daemon’s not surprised since he gave the Blackwoods permission to do whatever it takes to get the Brackens in line. Alys calls them crimes against the innocent, but Daemon disagrees. The Brackens were given the opportunity to pledge to him and refused.
Alys reminds him it’s the weak who are suffering. Daemon believes they’ll all suffer if Aemond One Eye rules.
Alys forces Aemond to admit he’s fighting for himself, not Rhaenyra. He believes the people won’t support her and she won’t win this war. Daemon insists he’s best suited to sit the Iron Throne. “When I take King’s Landing, Rhaenyra is welcome to join me there and take her place by my side. King and queen, ruling together,” says Daemon.
He turns to leave but is stopped in his tracks when Alys mentions his mother.
Ser Simon Strong delivers the news that Lord Amos Bracken has been forced to pledge his house to Daemon. Daemon orders Ser Simon to invite Ser Willem Blackwood to Harrenhal to congratulate him.
Lady Baela meets with Lord Corlys to deliver a message from Queen Rhaenyra. He describes his castle as a tomb, and Baela wishes she could have seen it in better times. She lists some of his many accomplishments, all of which were for his wife. Baela tells her grandsire that Rhaenyra wants to name him her Hand. He refuses, bitter that she’s already asked too much of his house. Being Hand won’t compensate for his loss.
Baela’s done with his anger and suggests that he go ahead and pledge to King Aegon. He’d rather sail away and get lost, and Baela reminds him he’s done it before at great cost to his loved ones. Baela says Rhaenys wasn’t just his wife, she was a Targaryen princess and heir to the throne. She entered the battle of her own will and died as she would have wished, by dragonfire. It was an honorable death. Baela hopes she’ll share a similar fate.
Baela’s determined to see Rhaenyra on the Iron Throne, just as Rhaenys wanted. She hands him the box with the Hands pin and Lord Corlys reacts by naming her his heir. “I am blood and fire. Driftmark must pass to salt and sea,” replies Baela.
Rhaenyra meets privately with Ser Alfred and admits she was wrong. She asks him to go to Harrenhal and speak with Daemon on her behalf. Ser Alfred thinks she’s removing him from her council, but she assures him she knows he’s loyal to her claim. Rhaenyra believes Alfred can reason with Daemon and determine his intentions.
Daemon continues to drink Alys’ concoction while not eating. He’s woken from his sleep by the arrival of the River lords, demanding an audience in the middle of the night. Daemon’s told the septs were burned, livestock stolen, and peasants put to death by the Blackwoods in his name. The Blackwoods rode with a Targaryen banner and performed atrocities not for their lord but in revenge for years of quarrels with the Brackens.
Daemon has a vision of his deceased wife asking if he’s looking after their daughters.
Daemon was unaware the Blackwoods were operating under the House Targaryen banner. He denies he ordered a child’s beheading, but the River lords have heard the rumors from half the kingdom. They will not raise their banners for a tyrant, with or without a dragon.

As they leave, Daemon places his hand on the fireplace mantel and looks into the flames. The scene transitions to a mirror image of Rhaenyra in the same position. Quick snippets of other events follow, with Rhaenyra’s handmaiden, Elinda (Jordon Stevens), convincing a guard to let her into King’s Landing by revealing she’s on an errand for Mysaria. Lord Corlys closes his fist around the Hand’s pin.
Prince Regent Aemond stares at the Iron Throne. Queen Helaena joins him and asks if it was worth the price, while Alicent sits by Aegon’s bedside, holding his hand. His raspy breath fills the air, and as Alicent’s leaving, she’s unaware that he says, “Mummy.”
Episode five ends with a pivotal meeting between mother and son. Rhaenyra is not only proud of Jace but also envious that he left Dragonstone to help their cause. However, Jace is confused as to why she still looks angry. Rhaenyra confesses she feels trapped and unable to help her own cause. Jace didn’t ask for her permission, and he insists he’ll continue to do what’s necessary. Rhaenyra is worried he will encounter Aemond and Vhagar and fall, just as his brother did.
Rhaenyra’s aware Aemond is now Prince Regent and believes he’ll press his advantage soon. They can’t count on Daemon for support, and it may come down to her and Syrax entering the fight. Syrax has speed going for her, and Rhaenyra can see no other option than joining her men in battle.
She needs dragons, and Jace reminds her they have dragons including two large enough (Vermithor and Silverwing) to fight Vhagar. What they need are dragonriders. And now Jace has his second epiphany of the episode. He suggests there are those of the Targaryen line who haven’t ruled but share dragon blood. It may be possible to place a Tarly or a Mallister on a dragon, even though Valyrian history indicates only a dragonlord can ride one.
Rhaenyra quickly warms to the idea. Any possible dragonriders would be recorded in the Targaryen history books, which are just an arms-length away.

Season three episode seven of Paramount+’s Mayor of Kingstown delivers the long-awaited showdown between Mike McLusky and Bunny Washington. The body count continues to rise as the fight for dominance in Kingstown’s drug trade becomes more and more heated. And, finally, Mike seems ready to admit he may have backed the wrong horse.
(Spoilers ahead!)
A busload of young Russian women, accompanied by handlers, arrives at the U.S./Canadian border and passes inspection. One woman, Marya, wonders when they’ll get their passports and cell phones back, and is told not to worry about it. She writes “Marya was here” on the seat in front of her.
Construction workers stop the bus on the Kingstown bridge. Suddenly, a loader lifts the bus and pushes it over the railing. The bus tumbles into the river below and sinks, killing the innocent women.
Mike (Jeremy Renner) knocks back a couple drinks and then switches to coffee, getting antsy at the bar, waiting for his phone to ring.
SWAT busts into the Colombian drug house and returns fire, placing the survivors under arrest. One escapes upstairs and Robert and Kyle (Taylor Handley) pursue. Kyle takes him out just as he shoots and misses Robert (Hamish Allan-Headley). Kyle calls up Mike and says everything’s done, no issues. Mike set up this plan to take down Bunny’s supplier, and Kyle is stressing about how the Crips leader will respond.
Kyle doesn’t get why his brother is playing such a dangerous game. He took out Bunny’s connection for the Aryans, yet he’s on Bunny’s side against the Russians. It’s a total mess and will probably end in major trouble.
Iris (Emma Laird) gives Mike an early morning call and confirms she’s being careful. She also reveals the shipment of women is late. Mike can’t help himself and reminds her to be careful again. Iris notes that he sounds like all the other guys who underestimate her.
Charlie, the serial killer, draws a picture of one of his yet-to-be-discovered murder victims’ body for Ian (Hugh Dillon). When he brings up the man on the porch that Ian had him kill, Ian instantly shuts him down. Ian changes the subject back to trees by the victim.
Over at the prison, Raphael (D Smoke) is interrupted by guards while working out. They claim the warden wants to see him, but it’s just a ruse to get him alone. Three AB-aligned racist guards just stand there while an Aryan Brotherhood prisoner attacks him. The guards only step in after Raphael gets the upper hand and takes the attacker’s knife.
Raphael’s placed in solitary and promises he’ll kill the guards. One says the name of his kid’s school and knows Roe is working two jobs. And now Raphael’s going to get more time added to his sentence, so he won’t be helping provide for his family for a long while.
Rebecca (Nichole Galicia) calls Mike to say there’s traffic on the bridge and she’s going to be late to the office. Mike teases her about always being late as Rebecca describes lots of cops and fire department personnel are on the scene. Mike realizes something went over the bridge and rushes to the site.
Ian and Stevie (Derek Webster) are already there, and Ian confirms a vehicle went off the bridge. Ian thinks the driver nodded off. They pulled two female bodies from the water. Mike’s certain there will be more. Evelyn joins the guys and observes as the bus is pulled from the river. The women inside drowned, as did their armed escorts.
Meanwhile at the women’s prison, Tracy checks on Cherry, the prisoner who just gave birth. She asks who raped her and Cherry refuses to name names. Tracy assures Cherry that she’ll ensure the father is punished. When Tracy mentions the guards, Cherry gets upset and swears she said nothing about it being a guard. She is clearly terrified and orders Tracy to leave her alone.

Konstantin (Yorick van Wageningen), Iris, and Konstantin’s right-hand man, Roman, pull up across the riverbank. Roman thinks the driver was probably exhausted from driving all night. But Iris and Konstantin both think it wasn’t an accident.
Mike tells Ian it needs to go down as an accident. That doesn’t go over well, as Ian discovered there was an illegal construction site on the bridge at the time of the incident. Mike wants to slow down the investigation, even though it’s a mass murder. If not, there will be a lot more dead bodies popping up soon.
Carney (Lane Garrison) calls Mike and fills him in on what just happened to Raphael. None of Raphael’s guys saw what went down, and Mike promises to manage the situation – but it needs to be kept quiet.
The news reports the bus incident as an accident, with 14 people losing their lives. This is hitting Iris hard, and Konstantin tries to engage her in conversation. Finally, she claims she’s okay, but it’s obvious she’s not. Konstantin knows she’s obsessing over the incident. She refuses to look away from the news and Konstantin orders Roman to turn off the TV.
Roman can’t find the remote and Konstantin gets frantic, grabbing Iris’s face and forcing her to turn away from the television. He places a gentle kiss on her lips and acknowledges that she’s “far gone from fear.” A tear streams down her cheek.
A short while later, Ian and Mike look at the destroyed bus in the garage. Ian found out that someone had stolen the construction equipment a year ago. Mike and Ian guess that there were three or four guys on the bridge when the bus went over. They toss out ideas about who’s responsible. Who could poke the Russian bear this hard? Mike suggests Callahan, but Ian is leaning toward Bunny who happens to be lying low.
Ian thinks it’s weird Bunny didn’t call Mike when SWAT hit his Colombian suppliers. Mike chalks it up to Bunny being preoccupied with the death of his cousin. Mike insists Bunny doesn’t kill innocent people, but Ian’s not buying it. He’s spent time with serial killer Charlie and believes Bunny’s no less a psychopath.
Mike wonders if it’s possible he’s blind to Bunny. (The answer is yes.)
Tracy is late walking to her car after her shift, and her co-worker Will walks with her. Their conversation is semi-normal but suddenly turns threatening when he asks why she was talking to Cherry. Will thinks Cherry got what she deserved and doesn’t understand why Tracy cares about her. He slams Tracy’s car door closed and doesn’t allow her to leave. He gets a little rough and then apologizes, telling her to drive home safely.
Tracy is overcome with fear, and it takes a while for her to calm down and drive away.
Mike and Evelyn stand outside the morgue, looking at the covered dead bodies. All the girls were under 18, and Evelyn knows it’s Mike calling the shots and making sure it’s listed as an accident. Mike doesn’t admit to it, and Evelyn knows she needs to go along to keep there from being further retaliation. “I gotta pretend these babies weren’t murdered,” says Evelyn.
Mike asks for some time. He’ll get these girls justice by killing their murderers, without the benefit of a trial.

Later, Mike stakes out Bunny and his family and friends as they gather to pay their last respects to Rhonda. He follows Bunny when he leaves and watches as he pulls into a locked garage. Bunny meets with Cole, the gun dealer, who’s just gotten in more AT-4s and M4s.
Mike pulls up and honks, and Bunny allows him to pull in. Mike can’t believe what he sees. Bunny threatens to kill Mike, and Mike acknowledges it looks like Bunny’s ready to kill the entire city. Mike had no idea about the guns, and Bunny reminds him that he never mentioned the Aryans working with the Russians. Mike claims he’s handling that and has been tipping the scale in Bunny’s favor.
Bunny doesn’t care about balance; his family’s dropping. And here it comes… Bunny says he’s done and is ready to go full monster now. “I gonna Frank Lucas this s**t,” says Bunny. “I’m gonna own all of it.”
Mike warns him he’ll have to swing back if Bunny does this. Bunny indicates Rhonda’s murder was a bridge too far. Bunny seems insulted when Mike asks if he was behind the 12 girls pulled out of the river. Mike reminds him there’s a short list of suspects, and Bunny does what he can to hold back his anger. Bunny’s done with Mike and done with playing by his rules.
Bunny yells so everyone in the building can hear. “I go my way, you go yours. We cross again, only one of us is gonna walk away,” warns Bunny.
Mike’s back at the bar, sopping up his problems with alcohol, when Ian joins him. Ian is really disturbed by the bodies. He says the coroner had to use a hammer to separate the girls’ hands. They were holding each other when rigor mortis set in.
Mike’s come to terms with the fact that there was never a solid line for any group to cross over. They just made it up.
Mike rings Carney and orders him to get a burner phone to Raphael, no matter how difficult that is.
Tracy’s made it home and holds her baby as she drinks. Meanwhile, Kyle’s at the bar drinking with his buddies. Evelyn’s there and he jokes it’s not the place for her to be, given the circumstances. She asks about any leads and is stunned to learn Kyle’s now in SWAT. Her hatred of Robert shows, and she asks Kyle if he has any idea how many people Robert’s put down. Kyle warns her to stop talking and Evelyn says that while Robert is bulletproof, the people around him aren’t.
Carney delivers a tray to Raph with food and a burner. Raphael immediately calls Bunny and tells him the racist guards are threatening Trey and Roe. Raph knows Callahan’s behind it and asks Bunny to get his family out of this town. Bunny promises he’s got Raph’s back.
Episode seven ends with Mike standing on the riverbank staring out at the water.
CBS’s fall 2024 primetime season kicks off in September with Survivor season 47, 48 Hours season 37, and season 57 of 60 Minutes. The network’s also set sneak peeks of the new drama Matlock and the reality competition series The Summit, hosted by Manu Bennett, in late September, prior to their official “CBS Premiere Week” in mid-October.
CBS’s 2024-2025 season includes five new series along with 15 returning shows. NCIS returns and NCIS: Origins debuts on Monday, October 14th. New seasons of the FBI trio – FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted – premiere on Tuesday, October 15th. New comedy Poppa’s House arrives on Monday, October 21st after season seven of The Neighborhood. Season two of the critically acclaimed drama Tracker, starring Justin Hartley, debuts on October 27th leading into the season five premiere of The Equalizer.

GEORGIE & MANDY’S FIRST MARRIAGE, the sequel to Young Sheldon, follows Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) as they raise their young family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting and marriage.

But not everyone will make it, as these strangers must work together to tackle the dangerous terrain, unforgiving Antarctic winds, heart-pounding challenges and gut-wrenching eliminations on their way to the peak.
Tracking them along this journey is the ‘Mountain’s Keeper’ who will surprise the trekkers with brutal twists and force decisions that complicate an already grueling ascent. Over two seasons, Interview has attracted a loyal base of passionate fans and widespread critical acclaim, with the rare distinction of receiving 98-point scores for both its first and second seasons on Rotten Tomatoes. The FORCE (short for Frequencies of Real Creative Energy) will drop on September 6, 2024 and, fittingly, his 14th studio album has 14 tracks.
LL COOL J describes the process of returning to the studio for his new album as learning how to rap again. It’s similar to “a director going back to film school after he’s had blockbusters,” according to the Kennedy Center Honoree, actor, author, NAACP Image Award winner, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and founder and CEO of Rock The Bells.
A Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip produced the album which is being released via Def Jam Recordings / Virgin Music Group. “We’re talking 14 tracks of straight fire, all crafted by myself and the one and only Q-Tip,” said LL. “When you listen to this album, you’re not just hearing music, you’re experiencing a whole new vibe, a whole new level of artistic passion.”

Apple TV+’s riveting legal drama Presumed Innocent has been renewed for season two. The first season, starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a prosecutor accused of murder, will conclude on July 24, 2024. According to the announcement, season two will focus on a case.
The series is based on Scott Turow’s bestselling novel, and Turow will remain involved in season two as a co-executive producer. Jake Gyllenhaal will return as an executive producer along with Dustin Thomason, Rachel Rusch Rich, Matthew Tinker, and Emmy Award-winners David E. Kelley and J.J. Abrams. Kelley is the showrunner.
The current season stars Gyllenhaal, Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenle, Chase Infiniti, Elizabeth Marvel, Nana Mensah, Renate Reinsve, and Kingston Rumi Southwick. Gyllenhaal’s brother-in-law Peter Sarsgaard stars as Gyllenhaal’s bitter adversary.
“The gripping series takes viewers on a journey through the horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney’s office when one of its own is suspected of a crime,” reads Apple TV+’s season one synopsis. “The series explores obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together.”
The eight-episode first season premiered on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 and currently sits at 76% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Turow’s novel was previously made into a feature film in 2008, directed by Alan J. Pakula and starring Harrison Ford, Brian Dennehy, and Greta Scacchi. The R-rated thriller grossed $221 million worldwide and earned an 86% fresh rating on RT.
Abbott Elementary to host a panel at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con (Disney/Pamela Littky)
Disney Entertainment Television’s roster of shows heading to the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con includes a mix of animated programs and primetime live-action series. Disney TV will be hosting pop-up restaurants around the San Diego Convention Center, as well as the Abbott Elementary‘s A Very Abbott Festival, Hulu’s Animayhem Factory, and The Bear Restaurant pop-up.
In addition, Disney Entertainment Television’s hosting 13 panels over three days of the SDCC, kicking off their lineup on Thursday, July 25, 2024 with a Percy Jackson and the Olympians panel followed by What We Do in the Shadows‘ final SDCC appearance. Doctor Who, Solar Opposites, The Great North, and Bob’s Burgers casts will participate in panels on Friday, July 26th. And Saturday’s panel lineup includes Futurama, The Simpsons, Abbott Elementary, American Dad!, The Rookie, Family Guy, and Tracker.

SDCC 2024 ACTIVATIONS
Abbott Elementary will reach new heights at San Diego Comic-Con, inviting attendees to experience A.V.A. Fest (A Very Abbott Festival) firsthand. Inspired by two fan-favorite episodes from the series, this carnival-themed activation is poised to be “Abbott”‘s biggest, flashiest, “over-the-top and unhinged” fan experience to date. From a soaring swing ride to a colorful ball pit photo op and the chance to “dunk a white dude,” guests will encounter a wide variety of series-themed games and attractions inspired by its beloved characters. Also not to be missed – hourly live performances by the official Philadelphia Eagles Drumline and an exclusive festival playlist curated by Questlove.
Hulu is bringing Animayhem back to San Diego Comic-Con with a zany, 2D-ifying factory where its beloved animated series are made. The factory is complete with Hulu’s most iconic animated titles like Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, Futurama, The Simpsons and more. The activation is located right next to the Convention Center in the Bayfront’s Parking Lot.
FX will host a can’t-miss series of immersive experiences transporting fans into their favorite FX series with interactive experiences, exclusive merch and photo opportunities including FX’s The Bear Restaurant Pop-Up, the FX Fearless Hellevator, and featuring It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and What We Do in the Shadows.
