Is it December yet? No? Well, then I guess we have to just settle for this short new TV spot for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to tide us over until Warner Bros and/or filmmaker Peter Jackson decide we need another peek at the upcoming much-anticipated first film of the trilogy.

The Plot: The Hobbit follows the journey of title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen), Bilbo (Martin Freeman) finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakensheild. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters, and Sorcerers.

Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain, first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever…Gollum.

Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of guile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum’s ‘precious’ ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities … A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to imagine.

Evil Dead Has a Gory, Restricted Trailer

It’s totally freaky-looking and it’s obviously much less campy and much more gory than the original film. What are we talking about? The new Evil Dead, produced by Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell, and directed by Fede Alvarez (who also co-wrote the script). Starring Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Jessica Lucas, Lou Taylor Pucci and Elizabeth Blackmore, Evil Dead rises in theaters on April 12, 2013.

The Plot:

Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead and unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

Tom Hanks Performs Full House Slam Poem

Tom Hanks has been keeping very, very busy hitting the talk show circuit promoting his new film Cloud Atlas from writer/director/producers Lana Wachowski, Andy Wachowski, and Tom Tykwer, however his appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon involved a skit that had nothing to do with the film he was there to promote. Hanks’ appearance on the show included the Oscar winner performing a slam poem about the 1990’s sitcom Full House – something you have to see to believe.
