Ryan Lochte Moves to ‘90210’

Well, that didn’t take long at all, did it? Ryan Lochte, winner of five medals at the 2012 London Olympics, will be appearing on an upcoming episode of The CW’s 90210. Recently Lochte told Matt Lauer on Today that he’d be interested in appearing on The Bachelor or Dancing with the Stars – and one of those shows could still be in his future. But it appears The CW has nabbed the Olympic medalist for his TV acting debut.

The CW announced he’ll have a cameo as “a guest at a resort where Naomi and Max are staying to strengthen their relationship.” The episode will air on Monday, October 29, 2012 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on The CW.

“When we found out Ryan Lochte was going to be in town and might appear on 90210, we felt like we’d won a gold medal! Team USA are all-stars in our book, and we’re so excited he’s making an appearance on the show. We only wish the episode was a surf event so we could have gotten him in the water, but he deserves a little rest on dry land,” said Executive Producers Patti Carr and Lara Olsen.

The fourth album from six-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift is set for release on October 22, 2012. Red features 16 tracks and unlike her most recent album, Speak Now, Swift actually had co-writers involved on this album.

“For the last two years, I’ve been working on an album called Red,” said Swift. “I called it Red because of the tumultuous, crazy adventures in love and loss that it chronicles. In my mind, when you experience love that’s fast-paced and out of control and mixes infatuation, jealousy, frustration, miscommunication, and all of those lovely emotions…in retrospect, it all looks red.”

Red‘s first single is “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” which she co-wrote with Max Martin and Shellback), now available on iTunes and other digital outlets.

Eric Bana Gets Evil in ‘Deadfall’

I admit I knew nothing at all about Deadfall prior to getting the trailer link, but now I’m intrigued. Starring Eric Bana, Olivia Wilde, Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy), Kate Mara, Sissy Spacek, and Kris Kristofferson, Magnolia Pictures’ Deadfall is coming to theaters on December 7, 2012 (available on VOD and iTunes on November 1st).

The Plot:

Siblings Addison (Eric Bana) and Liza (Olivia Wilde) are on the run from a casino heist gone wrong. When a car accident leaves their wheel man and a state trooper dead, they split up and make a run for the Canadian border in the worst of circumstances – a near whiteout blizzard. While Addison heads cross-country, creating mayhem in his wake, Liza is picked up by ex-boxer Jay (Charlie Hunnam), en-route for a Thanksgiving homecoming with his parents, June (Sissy Spacek) and retired sheriff Chet (Kris Kristofferson).

It’s there the siblings are reunited in a terse and thrilling showdown that pushes the bonds of family to the limit.

New Red Band Trailer for End of Watch

Open Road Films has released a new red-band trailer (that means it’s restricted and you probably shouldn’t watch it at work) for End of Watch, the action thriller directed by David Ayer and set in the world of LA cops. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Pena, Anna Kendrick, Natalie Martinez, Frank Grillo, America Ferrera, and David Harbour, End of Watch hits theaters on September 21, 2012.

The Plot:

Gyllenhaal and Peña star as young Los Angeles police officers Taylor and Zavala as they patrol the city’s meanest streets of south central Los Angeles. Robert Pattinson Video: The Daily Show

Robert Pattinson’s on the road doing press for his new film Cosmopolis and he stopped by The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Monday, August 13th to talk about that film. This is Rob’s first round of interviews following his break-up with Kristen Stewart, and Jon Stewart offered him some Ben & Jerry’s and said they were just going to chat like girls and commiserate over their relationship troubles.

Asked Stewart, “So what are we doing here? Are you all right? Is everything okay? I’m worried about you, and you are all right?”

And Pattinson, who said he didn’t want to eat the ice cream for fear of splitting his Spanx, continued to be worried about the little container. In response, Pattinson replied, “I literally don’t even know how to approach this now,” but then he moved on to the interview question.

“This is the weird thing about these interviews. Now I’m going to sound like an idiot. My biggest problem in my life is I’m cheap and I didn’t hire a publicist. And every awkward interview…you know, normally actors get these things scripted…”

“I’m going to hire a publicist,” says Pattinson.
