Emma Roberts poster for FX’s ‘American Horror Story: Delicate’ (season 12)
FX’s critically acclaimed horror anthology series American Horror Story‘s season 12 will premiere on September 20, 2023. The network also confirmed the new installment will be split into two parts and is officially titled American Horror Story: Delicate.
To whet AHS fans’ appetites, FX released three posters from AHS: Delicate, with two of the creepy posters showing large spiders covering the bellies of Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian. Roberts is cradling her spider as if it’s the world’s most bizarre baby bump. The third poster shows Cara Delevinge smiling evilly while holding a massive syringe with a spider inside it.
Season 12 has a baby (and spider) theme and is inspired by Danielle Valentine’s just-released novel Delicate Condition. Publisher Dreamscape Media offers this description of Valentine’s novel: “The Push meets The Silent Patient in this thriller which follows a woman convinced a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens.”
Halley Feiffer is guiding season 12 as writer and showrunner. Feiffer serves as an executive producer along with series creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. Alexis Martin Woodall, Scott Robertson, and John J. Gray also executive produce.

Starz has set an October premiere date for season two of Shining Vale. The new season will launch, appropriately enough, on Friday the 13th at midnight on the Starz app and at 9pm ET/PT on Starz linear.
The premiere date reveal was accompanied by the first batch of photos featuring the series’ stars, including Emmy nominee Courteney Cox as Pat Phelps and Oscar nominee Greg Kinnear as Terry Phelps.
Season two also stars Oscar winner Mira Sorvino as Rosemary, Gus Birney as Gaynor Phelps, Merrin Dungey as Kam, and Dylan Gage as Jake Phelps. The cast includes Emmy nominees Judith Light, Allison Tolman, and Sherilyn Fenn.
Jeff Astrof and Sharon Horgan co-created the series and serve as executive producers along with Clelia Mountford, Aaron Kaplan, and Melanie Frankel. Shining Vale is produced by Warner Bros. Television and Lionsgate Television in association with Other Shoe Productions, Merman, and Kapital Entertainment.

Starz offered this description of the upcoming season:
Season one of Shining Vale introduced Pat and Terry Phelps, a dysfunctional family that tried to run from their problems by moving their kids into a Victorian mansion in small-town Connecticut. The only problem? It may be haunted. Once settled in, Pat encountered Rosemary, a demon who possessed her body and turned her life upside down. When the family steps in to “save” Pat, they commit her to a psychiatric hospital where she sees an old photo of a nurse who looks just like her demon Rosemary.
Season two kicks off four months later, when Pat’s insurance runs out and she is released from the psychiatric hospital early. Pat returns home, determined to pick up the pieces of her broken family, but she quickly finds out her children don’t need her, Terry doesn’t remember her and to make matters worse, Pat’s new neighbor Ruth looks exactly like Rosemary. Meanwhile, the house starts to reveal the shocking secrets of its dark past. Every mother feels like they live in an insane asylum, but Pat may be right!

The first Maestro teaser trailer focuses on the relationship between legendary composer Leonard Bernstein (nine-time Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper, A Star is Born, American Sniper, American Hustle) and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein (Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan, Promising Young Woman, An Education). In the minute-and-a-half trailer, Leonard and Felicia are shown sharing private moments in a park, with Cooper’s Leonard describing the pair as “two little ducks in a pond.”
Maestro was a project that three-time Oscar winner Steven Spielberg was interested in directing. After speaking with Bradley Cooper and watching A Star is Born (starring and directed by Cooper), Spielberg believed Cooper should star in and direct Maestro. Cooper agreed, and also co-wrote the screenplay with Josh Singer.
Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan are joined on screen by Matt Bomer, Maya Hawke, Sarah Silverman, and Josh Hamilton. Scott Ellis, Gideon Glick, Sam Nivola, Alexa Swinton, and Miriam Shor also star.
Spielberg remains involved as a producer along with Cooper, Martin Scorsese, Fred Berner, Amy Durning, and Kristie Macosko Krieger. Carla Raij, Josh Singer, Bobby Wilhelm, Weston Middleton, and Tracey Landon executive produce.
Netflix describes the film as a “towering and fearless love story chronicling the lifelong relationship between Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. A love letter to life and art, Maestro at its core is an emotionally epic portrayal of family and love.”
Netflix plans to release Maestro in select theaters on November 22, 2023 followed by a streaming premiere on December 20.
The Flaming Lips, Jeff Lynne’s ELO, The War on Drugs, Lucius, and Joe Walsh will perform full sets during VetsAid 2023. The 7th annual benefit show will take place on Sunday, November 12 at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre near San Diego, CA, with funds raised going to support veterans services charities.
This year’s benefit concert will also feature a special guest appearance by Stephen Stills.
“VetsAid is back for 2023 and we’re taking it outside in beautiful San Diego to support California’s veteran population,” said Joe Walsh. “My good buddy Jeff is bringing the ELO experience for their first show since 2019. The War on Drugs is one of my favorite bands out there doing it, and I’m thrilled to be able to welcome them. The Flaming Lips are a perpetual joy machine that will dazzle our audience; if you know, you know and if you don’t – you will! Lucius are two spectacular vocal artists and songwriters that will take your breath away. And to top it all off we have my dear friend and hero Stephen Stills joining as a special guest. My friends and I will see you under the stars this November 12th!”
Tickets will go on sale on August 18, 2023 at 10am PT via ticketmaster.com.
Supporting veterans is a cause near and dear to Joe Walsh’s heart. Walsh is a Gold Star son whose father, a flight engineer, was killed while stationed in Okinawa when Joe was just a baby. Walsh’s 501(c)3 non-profit organization VetsAid has given out more than $3 million in grants to support organizations assisting veterans. The 2023 event will benefit Southern California-based organizations or organizations with So. California operations.
Per the VetsAid 2023 announcement:
“Walsh aims to use this platform to raise funds and awareness for the still urgent and significant needs of our returning soldiers and their families. Through the establishment of VetsAid and this annual benefit concert, he aims to give back to those who have given so much in sacrifice for this country.”
Tiffany Haddish (The Aftermath) agrees to marriage with an alien in the final trailer for Landscape with Invisible Hand. Based on M.T. Anderson’s satirical sci-fi novel, the strange story is set in a time in which aliens have taken over Earth without wiping out the human population.
In addition to Tiffany Haddish, the R-rated film stars Asante Blackk (This Is Us) and Kylie Rogers (Home Before Dark). Cory Finley, Spirit Awards Best First Screenplay nominee for Thoroughbreds, adapted Anderson’s novel and directed the sci-fi dramedy.
Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner produced, with Brad Pitt, Gabby Shepard, David Kern, M.T. Anderson, Megan Ellison, and Tiffany Haddish executive producing.
MGM’s releasing Landscape with Invisible Hands in theaters on August 18, 2023.
Years into a benevolent alien occupation of Earth, the human race is still adjusting to the new world order and its quirky coffee table-sized overlords called the Vuvv. Their flashy advanced technology initially held promise for global prosperity, but rendered most human jobs – and steady income – obsolete.
When 17-year-old artist Adam Campbell (Blackk) and new girlfriend Chloe Marsh (Rogers) discover the Vuvv are particularly fascinated with human love and will pay for access to it, they decide to livestream their budding romance to make extra cash for themselves and their families. Life is good for a while until the flame of their teenage love fizzles out and they’re forced to make very different, absurdly life-altering sacrifices for their families.
