Peacock’s set a March 7, 2023 premiere date for the true crime documentary series Who Killed Robert Wone?. The two-part docuseries, which just released an official trailer, dives into the murder of attorney Robert Wone in August 2006.
“The case of Robert Wone’s is a story that most crime fans may have never heard of, but once they do, they won’t stop talking about it. Through interviews with those closest to the case and friends of Robert’s who knew him well, Who Killed Robert Wone? looks to give the Peacock audience insight into one of the most mysterious murder cases of the 2000s and explore the bizarre events of what happened on that fateful night,” explained Stephanie Steele, VP, Unscripted Current Production, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming.
Jared P. Scott (The Great Green Wall) directed and served as an executive producer along with Eric Wetherington, Patrick Reardon, and Paul Epstein. The docuseries is a Jupiter Entertainment production.
“This is a crime like no other. With more questions than answers, we hope this series will bring new life to a story that has perplexed the Washington D.C. community for years,” stated Patrick Reardon, President of Jupiter Entertainment.
The Plot, Courtesy of Peacock:
On the night of August 2, 2006, Victor Zaborsky calls 911 to report an intruder stabbing a friend at the D.C. home he shares with Joe Price and Dylan Ward. First responders arrive to find attorney Robert Wone already dead in the guest room.
With little blood at the scene and no signs of struggle or robbery, suspicions heighten after police interview the three housemates. Believing the men know more than they are revealing, the investigation soon uncovers more questions than answers. Unthinkable twists and turns surface, leaving friends questioning how well they knew the three men and police struggling to nail down answers.
Ultimately, prosecutors bring an unusual set of charges against the three residents — but not for murder. As Price, Zaborsky, and Ward maintain their innocence and fight to clear their names, those close to Robert seek the truth and try to heal from unimaginable loss.
HBO Max is taking a trip to Derry, home of the terrifying Pennywise the Clown, with a prequel series to Stephen King’s It. The new series is tentatively titled Welcome to Derry and has author Stephen King’s blessing.
“I’m excited that the story of Derry, Maine’s most haunted city, is continuing, and I’m glad Andy Muschietti is going to be overseeing the frightening festivities, along with a brain trust including his talented sister, Barbara. Red balloons all around!” said King.
Welcome to Derry, which just received a series order from HBO Max, was developed by filmmakers Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti (IT, IT Chapter Two) and Jason Fuchs (IT Chapter Two, Wonder Woman). Andy Muschietti is confirmed to direct some season one episodes, including the first.
“As teenagers, we took turns reading chapters of Stephen King’s IT until the thick paperback fell to pieces. IT is an epic story that contains multitudes, far beyond what we could explore in our IT movies,” stated Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti. “We can’t wait to share the depths of Steve’s novel, in all its heart, humor, humanity, and horror.”
The prequel to New Line films’ It and It: Chapter Two is produced by HBO Max and Warner Bros. Television. According to HBO Max, Jason Fuchs is writing the script for the first episode, based on a story by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Fuchs. Fuchs will be serving as a season one co-showrunner with Brad Caleb Kane. Fuchs, Kane, and Double Dream production company’s Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti are executive producing.
“To be able to return to the world of my all-time favorite horror novel and help build upon the singularly brilliant cinematic universe created by Andy and Barbara is more than the opportunity of a lifetime, it’s a dream come true — or, maybe more appropriately, a nightmare,” said Jason Fuchs.
Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content, HBO Max stated: “We are thrilled to continue this iconic franchise with the brilliant Andy and Barbara Muschietti, Jason Fuchs, and Brad Caleb Kane. This prequel will expand the IT storytelling canvas and bring fans deeper into the terrifying, mesmerizing town of Derry.”
It was released in September 2017 and rang up $123 million over its opening weekend, earning it first place among all films that opened in September. The R-rated horror film went on to gross $700 million worldwide before exiting theaters. It: Chapter Two followed in September 2019 and fell short of its predecessor, ringing up $473 million during its theatrical run.

Emily begins and ends with Emily Brontë on her deathbed. Is it heartbreak that led to her early death at the age of 30 or something less dramatic? Her death’s attributed to tuberculosis (the same disease that took her siblings), but first-time feature film writer/director Frances O’Connor paints such a gorgeous picture of a life full of tragedy, romance, betrayal, and longing that she makes it possible to believe Emily succumbed to something more mysterious and befitting of the author of Wuthering Heights.
Brontë siblings Emily (Emma Mackey), Charlotte (Alexandra Dowling), Anne (Amelia Gething), and Branwell (Fionn Whitehead) are artistically inclined, with Branwell – the sole male – the free-spirited, wild child of the group. They all share an ability and desire to write.
Of the siblings, Branwell and Emily’s relationship proves the most interesting in O’Connor’s directorial debut. Emily dearly loves her impulsive brother, and both push the boundaries of what’s socially acceptable in the early 1800s. Emily and Branwell have neither the ability nor the desire to adapt and fit in and instead prefer to openly question and speak out on topics that stir their passion.
Emily’s unconcerned with how she comes across and prefers sharing stories with her sisters and brother rather than joining in on social outings with young ladies her age. It’s a blessing in disguise when panic attacks force her to leave school and return to her more isolated world.
Although there’s no evidence that what happens next actually occurred, we can hope that Emily Brontë had someone who engaged her mentally and satisfied her emotionally the way the new curate William Weightman (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) does in O’Connor’s vision of Brontë’s life. So little is known about the author of Wuthering Heights that nothing O’Connor proposes is outside the lines of what’s possible or probable. (William Weightman did exist and was apparently quite a flirt.)

Emily and William’s relationship builds from lingering glances and tentative touches to an all-consuming fireball fueled by lust and passion. It’s not inconceivable that Emily engaged in a sensual, liberating relationship such as what’s depicted in Emily, given the incredibly complex relationships she created in Wuthering Heights.
William provides Emily with not just love but encouragement before society intrudes on their relationship. Branwell also spurs Emily on to follow her dreams, demanding his sister not just whisper but shout the saying tattooed on his arm: “Freedom in Thought.” And Emily’s Wuthering Heights is that shout, echoing through the ages.
Actor and filmmaker Frances O’Connor has created a beautiful world for Emily and her siblings, and Emma Mackey (Sex Education) plays the author as an observer, an introvert who absorbs her surroundings. You get the sense she’s squirreling away her impressions to provide fodder for poems and stories, which is precisely what a gifted writer would do.
Mackey’s performance is sheer perfection, and admirers of Emily Brontë can only hope the talented writer lived as rich a life as O’Connor envisioned and Mackey portrays.

Released to coincide with the 30th anniversary of this national tragedy, the series is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Tiller Russell and features exclusive access to recently unearthed videotapes filmed inside the FBI Crisis Negotiation Unit, as well as raw news footage never released to the American public, and FBI recordings.
It is driven by intimate and revealing interviews with people from all sides of the conflict, including one of David Koresh’s spiritual wives, the last child released from the compound alive, a sniper from the FBI Hostage Rescue Team, the FBI Crisis Negotiation Unit Chief, the key journalists covering the story, as well as members of the ATF tactical team who watched their colleagues die in the shootout against members of the religious sect.

Reba McEntire in ‘The Voice’ (Photo by: Art Streiber/NBC)
Reba McEntire is joining NBC’s The Voice season 23 as a Mega Mentor. McEntire will be helping to mentor aspiring singers as they get ready for the Battle Rounds.
Chance the Rapper, Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, and Blake Shelton are the season 23 coaches, with Shelton – the only original The Voice coach – saying goodbye to the show after this season wraps up.
Season 23 is set to premiere on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT. The live rounds will kick off on Monday, May 15.
In addition to announcing McEntire’s involvement, NBC released new details on changes coming to the singing competition with season 23:
The Battles (starting March 27) – An all-new “Playoff Pass” allows both artists in a battle to advance, with the “Playoff Pass” winner gaining a major advantage when they skip the Knockout Rounds and automatically advance to Playoffs, taking them one step closer to the live shows. Each coach has one “Playoff Pass” and one “Steal” during this round. Seven artists per team advance (six competing in the Knockouts and one “Playoff Pass” artist).
The Knockouts – Artists are paired against each other, selecting their own songs to perform individually while their direct competitors watch and wait. Coaches choose the winner and the artist not selected is available for a “steal.” The pressure is on as each coach only has one “steal” during this round. Five artists per team advance (four Knockout winners and one “Playoff Pass” artist).
The Playoffs (starting May 1) – The Playoffs are back, further bolstering the competition following the Knockouts. The 20 remaining artists hold nothing back, and tough decisions are made when each coach can only advance two artists to the live semi-finals.

Prime Video’s unveiled the first official photo from On a Wing and a Prayer, an inspirational drama based on a true story. The new photo shows Dennis Quaid (Blue Miracle) at the controls of an airplane with Heather Graham (Love Guaranteed) as his co-pilot. Jesse Metcalfe also stars.
Per Prime Video: “In this extraordinary true story of faith and survival, On a Wing and a Prayer follows passenger Doug White’s (Quaid) harrowing journey to safely land a plane and save his entire family from insurmountable danger after their pilot dies unexpectedly mid-flight.”
The film reunites Quaid with his Soul Surfer and Reagan director Sean McNamara. Brian Egeston wrote the screenplay and Autumn Bailey-Ford, Roma Downey, and Karl Horstmann produce. Marco Henry executive produces and the film’s subject, Doug White, is involved as a co-producer.
White was forced to take over the controls after the pilot of a King Air plane lost consciousness. White had a pilot’s license but had never handled a plane as big as the King Air prior to the April 2009 in-flight emergency.
“This gripping story has so many layers, I couldn’t put the script down,” stated Roma Downey when the film was announced in January 2021. “At the heart of this true story is a man thrown into every passenger’s worst nightmare as he sees his pilot die mid-air at the controls. What happens next will have you on the edge of your seat, and with Dennis Quaid in the lead role you won’t be able to take your eyes off the screen.”
On a Wing and a Prayer will premiere on Prime Video on April 7, 2023.
