Bob Saget Will Be Honored with the Critics Choice “Impact Award”

Beloved comedian and actor Bob Saget will be posthumously awarded the Critics Choice Real TV Awards‘ “Impact Award” during a ceremony on June 12, 2022. Bob Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, will accept the award. Saget’s friend and Full House co-star John Stamos will present the honor.

The 4th Annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards will be hosted by Randy and Jason Sklar and recognize the best in nonfiction, unscripted, and reality programming across broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms. The 2022 awards show will take place at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

The annual reality TV awards presentation is a joint production by the Critics Choice Association (CCA) and the nonfiction producers’ organization NPACT. Bob Saget actually hosted the first-ever Critics Choice Real TV Awards (then called the NPACT Impact Awards) in 2018.

Confirmed presenters include Alan Tudyk, Amir Mathis, Carrie Ann Inaba, Chris Hardwick, Chrishell Stause, Chelsea Lazkani, Christine Chiu, Dashaun Wesley, DeJa Skye, Derek Hough, Garcelle Beauvais, Judge Mathis, Kandi Burruss, Kathy Griffin, Kevin Kreider, Linda Reese Mathis, Michelle Visage, Padma Lakshmi, Rob Riggle, Tracy Tutor, and Tyler Henry.

Bob Saget’s lengthy career includes a starring role in Full House and hosting America’s Funniest Home Videos. He also starred in the Amazon special Zero to Sixty and HBO’s That Ain’t Right. Saget directed Dirty Work and For Hope, and appeared on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning The Drowsy Chaperone and the Tony nominated play Hand to God.

Bob Saget passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2022 at the age of 65.
