The upcoming series is a reimagining of the critically-acclaimed 1987 thriller that starred Michael Douglas as Dan, Glenn Close as Alex, and Anne Archer as Beth. The R-rated drama directed by Adrian Lyne was nominated for six Oscars including Best Picture, Best Actress (Close), and Best Supporting Actress (Archer).

Paramount+ released the following synopsis:

“A deep-dive reimagining of the classic psychosexual thriller and ‘80s cultural touchstone, the new series will explore fatal attraction and the timeless themes of marriage and infidelity through the lens of modern attitudes toward strong women, personality disorders and coercive control.”
