The CW’s Riverdale season two episode six confirmed Cheryl’s mom is still in the running for Worst Mom of the Year honors. It also found Betty and Veronica making up after Betty came clean about the Black Hood’s threats and then teaming up to locate the Sugarman. Jughead challenged the Ghoulies to a street race – complete with Archie riding shotgun – that ended in the arrest of the Ghoulies. Meanwhile, with Cheryl’s help Betty learned the Sugarman’s identity. Defying the Black Hood, she called the cops and wrote an exposé on the Sugarman who turned out to be Jughead’s English teacher.
Riverdale will be taking a week off for the Thanksgiving holiday, returning on November 29, 2017 with season two episode seven. Directed by Dawn Wilkinson from a script by James DeWille, episode seven is titled “Tales from the Darkside.”
The season two cast includes KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, Marisol Nichols as Hermione Lodge, Mӓdchen Amick as Alice Cooper, Luke Perry as Fred Andrews, Casey Cott as Kevin Keller, Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy, Mark Consuelos as Hiram Lodge, and Skeet Ulrich as FP Jones.
The “Chapter Twenty: Tales From the Darkside” Plot: A TEST FROM THE BLACK HOOD — Riverdale remains on edge after a chilling letter from the Black Hood challenges the town’s residents to remain sinless for 48 hours – or he’ll strike again. Meanwhile, Jughead (Sprouse) and Archie’s (Apa) friendship gets tested after Penny Peabody (guest star Brit Morgan) unexpectedly calls in a favor that Jughead owes her. Elsewhere, Betty (Reinhart) and Veronica (Mendes) team up to investigate someone who Betty thinks could be the Black Hood killer. Finally, things take an unexpected turn for Josie (Ashleigh Murray) when a secret admirer takes things one step too far.
