Although the teaser declares “all will be revealed,” absolutely nothing is revealed in this 10 second Yellowstone season five video. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) is the only character who speaks in the teaser, saying, “We’ll show the world who we are and what we do.”
The teaser confirms season five will premiere on Paramount Network on Sunday, November 13, 2022 with a special two-hour premiere event.
The cast is led by Oscar winner Kevin Costner as John Dutton. Returning cast members also include Luke Grimes as Kayce, Kelly Reilly as Beth, Wes Bentley as Jamie, and Cole Hauser as Rip. Kelsey Asbille stars as Monica, Brecken Merrill is Tate, Jefferson White plays Jimmy, Forrie Smith is Lloyd, Denim Richards is Colby, Ian Bohen is Ryan, Finn Little is Carter, Ryan Bingham is Walker, and Gil Birmingham is Thomas Rainwater.
Josh Lucas will return in a guest starring role as a younger John Dutton. Mo Brings Plenty (“Mo”), Wendy Moniz (“Governor Lynelle Perry”), Jen Landon (“Teeter”), and Kathryn Kelly (“Emily”) have been upped to series regulars for season five. The upcoming season will also feature newcomers:
· Kai Caster (American Horror Story) plays ‘Rowdy’, a young cowboy.
· Lainey Wilson plays a musician named ‘Abby.’
· Lilli Kay (Your Honor) plays ‘Clara Brewer’, the new assistant for one of the Duttons.
· Dawn Olivieri (1883) plays ‘Sarah Atwood’, a confident, corporate shark and a new arrival to Montana.
Taylor Sheridan and John Linson co-created the series and serve as executive producers along with series star Kevin Costner, Art Linson, David C. Glasser, Bob Yari, and Stephen Kay.
Season four premiered on June 21, 2020 and became cable’s highest-rated show with 14+ million total viewers. Yellowstone and its prequel 1883 proved to be so popular that Paramount Network greenlit another prequel, 1923, with Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford.
