‘Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight’ coming to Netflix.

Netflix is continuing its successful collaboration with Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro. The network’s just announced Guillermo del Toro has created a new horror anthology series titled Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight which will air exclusively on Netflix. The Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight series marks Netflix’s first original horror anthology series.

The new series will reunite Guillermo del Toro with The Shape of Water producer J. Miles Dale. Dale is on board to executive produce the anthology series along with Exile Entertainment’s Gary Ungar.

This new anthology series follows Guillermo del Toro’s successful animated series Trollhunters which airs on Netflix. The third season of Trollhunters will premiere on May 25, 2018.

Guillermo del Toro earned four Academy Awards for his riveting romantic fantasy, The Shape of Water. The film was nominated for 13 Oscars and took home wins in the Best Picture, Best Director, Best Production Design, and Best Original Music Score categories. Guillermo del Toro was also nominated in 2007 for his screenplay to the gorgeous fantasy film, Pan’s Labyrinth. Although he didn’t win for his screenplay, the film won Oscars in the Best Achievement in Cinematography, Best Achievement in Art Direction, and Best Achievement in Makeup categories.

Guillermo Del Toro’s directing credits also include Crimson Peak, The Strain, Pacific Rim, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Hellboy, Mimic, and Cronos.

The Plot: In this new genre-defining anthology series, acclaimed Academy Award-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro will present a collection of personally curated stories, that are both equally sophisticated and horrific. On Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight, creator and executive producer del Toro will bring his own visionary style as both a writer and director to certain episodes. In addition, he will hand pick a team of the genre’s best writers and exciting new filmmakers to bring his selection of stories to life.
