“One Small Step” Plot: Amy must confront who she became after the tragedy struck her family seven years ago. Sonya and TJ disagree on how to handle a sick Marine, and Amy and Jake make a life-changing discovery about an Alzheimer’s patient.
After a late-night car crash results in severe head trauma, Amy wakes up from surgery with no recollection of the patients she’s treated, the colleagues she’s crossed and the tragedy that caused her to push almost everyone away. The relief that Amy gets from seeing her family post-accident is fleeting when she learns the incomprehensible – that she and her beloved husband, Dr. Michael Hamda have been divorced for four years. In fact, her entire family is not at all as she remembers them, rocking her foundation to the core.
Amy’s best friend, neuropsychiatrist Dr. Gina Walker, has little guidance to give her for this new reality since matters of the brain are, even to the experts, still a big mystery. While Gina is hopeful, she does not know if Amy will ever recover her memories. In Amy’s fragile state, Gina must choose carefully what information from the past eight years to reveal to her, scared that too much too soon could prove more harmful than good. This includes her secret romance with Dr. Jake Heller, since Amy now has no recollection of ever meeting him before, let alone being in a passionate relationship with him. Certain other memories, those close to her believe, would perhaps be too painful to relive and are best left forgotten.
In a fateful irony, that’s the fervent hope for Amy’s colleague, Dr. Richard Miller, who has now been promoted to take over as Chief of Internal Medicine after Amy’s accident. Richard is desperate for Amy’s memories to never return since she was the only person to uncover his career-ending mistake – another thing she now doesn’t recall.
And Richard isn’t alone in relishing Amy’s predicament – her previously contentious and unkind behavior left her with more than a few enemies at the hospital, including Dr. Sonya Maitra. While she does remember Dr. TJ Coleman, she does not recall that he became a doctor – nor that it was she who inspired him to do so.
Feeling completely off balance and having to piece together what happened through the prism of other people’s subjective points of view, practicing medicine remains the one constant for Amy, and she is determined to become a doctor again. While she may never get back what she’s lost, Amy knows she’s been given a second chance to do things differently and she will not take that gift for granted.
The promo for Fox’s Rescue: HI-Surf episode 11 shows that Will’s life is about to become even more complicated. Episode 11, “Caught Inside,” will air on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 9pm ET/PT.

2025 Grammy Awards nominees Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Charli xcx, Doechii, RAYE, Sabrina Carpenter, Shakira, and Teddy Swims are guaranteed at least one trip to the Grammys stage. The nine artists are the first group announced by The Recording Academy and CBS to perform during the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
This year’s awards show will take place on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The Recording Academy will use the 2025 Grammys to help raise awareness and support for the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort To Support Music Professionals fund. $3.2 million has already been raised/pledged to assist music people affected by the wildfires.
“The upcoming Grammy Awards won’t just be about celebrating and honoring the best in music this year, it will also show how the power of music can help rebuild, uplift, and support those in need,” said Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr. “We are thrilled that so many artists in our community are banding together at this time to show support for their fellow music makers and others impacted by the recent wildfires.”
The Recording Academy stated: “This year’s Grammy telecast will carry a renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect others. In order to generate maximum support not only for members of the music community but also for all those affected by the crisis in Los Angeles and the city at large, many events that traditionally make up Grammy Week have been canceled or reformatted.”
First-time nominee Benson Boone competes in the Best New Artist category while nine-time winner Billie Eilish earned seven nominations this year. Chappell Roan’s also a Grammy newcomer, picking up six nominations including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best Pop Vocal Album. Additional first-time nominees confirmed to perform include Doechii, Sabrina Carpenter, and Teddy Swim.
Charlie xcx is nominated in eight categories, Raye earned three nominations, and Shakira is up for a Best Latin Pop Album Grammy. Additional performers will be announced soon.
It’s been 30 years since the so-called Trial of the Century captivated the world, making household names of Marcia Clark, Johnnie Cochran, and Kato Kaelin. Court TV’s cameras covered the O.J. Simpson double murder trial, and now three decades later the limited series Trial & Error: Why Did O.J. Win? delves behind the scenes of the trial, with archival footage and interviews with key individuals involved in the case.
The seven-part series premieres on February 16, 2025, with new episodes airing on Sundays at 8pm ET/PT. Attorney, Court TV anchor, and Emmy-award-winning true crime journalist Michael Ayala covered the trial, which kicked off with opening statements on January 24, 1995, and serves as host of the limited series.

Season three of Oxygen’s New York Homicide will debut with an episode focusing on the murder of a popular New York teacher. The season premieres on February 1, 2025, with new episodes arriving on Saturdays at 9pm ET/PT.
NYPD Retired Chief of Detectives Robert K. Boyce leads true crime fans through the investigations of 20 murder cases that shook the Big Apple. Per Oxygen: “The 20 new cases analyzed this season include the murder of an Indian prince known for his extravagant lifestyle; the killing of a man whose body was found in the debris following Hurricane Sandy; a man whose Hell’s Kitchen murder changed the city’s club scene and made headlines nationwide; a successful tech entrepreneur stabbed to death at the height of his career; and a serial killer who kept Brooklyn on edge.”

Anora was nominated in six categories, and The Substance and Dune: Part Two earned five nominations.
Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences members recognized The Substance‘s Coralie Fargeat with a directing nomination, making her only the 10th woman in Oscar history to earn a nomination in that category. And this year’s Best Picture nominees include two musicals – Emilia Pérez and Wicked – which hasn’t happened since 1968. With her best actress nomination, Emilia Pérez star Karla Sofía Gascón became the first openly trans person ever to be nominated in an acting category.

A first date turns into a life-or-death situation in Drop, a new horror film from Happy Death Day helmer Christopher Landon. The trailer shows a single mom (Meghann Fahy, The White Lotus) taking a chance on a blind date (1923‘s Brandon Sklenar), and then almost immediately regretting the decision when she receives a series of threatening texts.

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach (Truth or Dare) wrote the thriller, and Blumhouse’s Jason Blum produces along with Platinum Dunes’ Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Cameron Fuller.
Universal Pictures will release Drop in theaters on April 11, 2025.

With nearly a month still left before the debut of season three, HBO’s given The White Lotus a renewal order for season four. The upcoming third season of the Emmy-winning drama will premiere on February 16, 2025. New episodes will air on Sundays at 9pm ET/PT.
Created by Mike White, The White Lotus launched season one in July 2021, followed by season two in December 2022. The first season scored 20 combined Primetime and Creative Arts Emmy nominations, winning 10 including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, Writing, Directing, and Supporting Actress (Jennifer Coolidge). Season two picked up 23 Emmy nominations and went home with five trophies.
Season three’s huge ensemble cast includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal, and Michelle Monaghan. Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Aimee Lou Wood also star. Rounding out the ensemble are Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Dom Hetrakul, Julian Kostov, Charlotte Le Bon, Morgana O’Reilly, and Shalini Peiris.
“The social satire is set at an exclusive Thai resort and follows the exploits of various guests and employees over the span of a week,” reads HBO’s incredibly basic season three description. The network hasn’t announced where season four will be set.
White writes, directs, and executive produces. David Bernad and Mark Kamine also serve as executive producers.
