‘Dear Santa’ Trailer: Jack Black Raises a Little Hell

Jack Black stars in Paramount+’s first original Christmas film, Dear Santa, streaming on November 25, 2024. The trailer shows Black as Satan, not Santa, accidentally summoned by a kid who’s horrible at spelling.

Robert Timothy Smith stars as the kid who misspells Santa. The PG-13 holiday comedy also features Keegan-Michael Key (Wonka), Brianne Howey (Ginny & Georgia), Hayes MacArthur (Merry Happy Whatever), Post Malone, P.J. Byrne (The Boys), Jaden Carson Baker, and Kai Cech.

Dear Santa is the story of a young boy (Smith) who mails his Christmas wish list to Santa with one crucial spelling error, resulting in a devilish Jack Black’s arrival to wreak havoc on the holidays,” reads Paramount+’s synopsis. “Dear Santa marks the return of the Farrelly Brothers, the hilarious minds behind Dumb & Dumber, Something About Mary, and more. With their latest collaboration, which joins their decades-spanning repertoire of wild comedy films, Christmas is going up in flames.”

Bobby Farrelly directed and Peter Farrelly and Ricky Blitt wrote the screenplay. Peter Farrelly, Bobby Farrelly, and Jeremy Kramer serve as producers, with Kevin Barnett, Pete Jones, and Gretel Twombly executive producing.

Blue Bloods Final Season Details, Courtesy of CBS

Blue Bloods is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan is the New York Police Commissioner, and heads both the police force and the Reagan brood. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry, during his stint as chief. A source of pride and concern for Frank is his eldest son, Danny, a seasoned detective, family man, and Iraq War vet who, on occasion, uses dubious tactics to solve cases with his partner and new mother, Detective Maria Baez.

Erin, the middle daughter, is a New York assistant D.A. who serves as the legal compass for her siblings and father, while also pursuing a run for district attorney. Jamie is the youngest Reagan, a Harvard Law graduate and the family’s golden boy. Unable to deny the family tradition, Jamie decided to give up a lucrative future in law and follow in the family footsteps as a cop. He’s found a friend and ally in his wife, Eddie, who keeps him on his toes, and has very different reasons than the Reagans for joining the police force.
