Tony Award-winner Bernadette Peters will be lending her unusually distinctive voice to the 3D CG animated family film, Dorothy of Oz, from Summertime Entertainment. Peters will be providing the voice of Glinda, “the powerful sorceress who once granted Dorothy Gale’s wish to go back to Kansas.”

“‘Glinda’ and I have the same heart and soul,'” stated Peters, adding, “Her hair has a mind of its own like mine!”

Summertime Entertainment also announced Peters and Lea Michele, who voices the role of Dorothy, will be singing a duet on the Dorothy of Oz soundtrack.

Selena Gomez Makes a Wish Come True

Selena Gomez Grants Make-A-Wish kid Ella's Wish

Seven year old Ella was granted her wish when her favorite artist, Selena Gomez, invited her out to spend a day in LA. The Texas Make-A-Wish kid got to spend the day talking with Selena, taking pictures, and playing Kinect: Disneyland Adventures on Kinect for Xbox 360. After finishing up the fun-filled day, Ella – who is battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia – said it was the best day of her life.

“Ella and her family enjoyed every minute of her afternoon play date with Selena Gomez,” stated David Williams, Make-A-Wish America president and chief executive officer. “I speak for Ella, her family and Make-A-Wish when I express my gratitude to Selena for taking the time out of her busy schedule to grant the wish of such a special and full of life little girl.”

“When you’re a parent and you have a child who has cancer, it just feels like the meanness of the world is coming down and slapping you in the face,” said Ella’s father, Chris. “When the folks from Make-A-Wish told us that she would be able to have a wish, it just felt like the whole world was righting some sort of wrong.”
