John Stockwell (Turistas, Into the Blue) directs Oscar winner Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez in the thriller Dark Tide, released on Video on Demand on March 8th with a theatrical release on March 30th. Off-screen, Berry and Martinez are engaged. On screen Berry plays a shark expert whose ex-boyfriend (Martinez) convinces her to take a thrill-seeking millionaire on a dive outside of a cage in Shark Alley.
Here are a batch of clips from the action film with Halle Berry in a bathing suit (that got your attention, didn’t it?):

Jermaine Jones - Photo Credit: Michael Becker / FOX. TMZ broke the news that one of the final 12 contestants on American Idol did not disclose his criminal past. The Hollywood Reporter says Jermaine Jones, who was brought back in a twist on the format that allowed the judges to save a contestant who initially didn’t make the final cut, concealed multiple crimes from the AI producers and will be leaving the show tonight.
THR says Jones confirmed the news on his Twitter (the account was later deleted), saying:
Awww I will no longer b on the show.”
TMZ says Jones concealed the fact he has multiple warrants out for his arrest and that he was charged with two crimes in 2011.
The drama will all play out on American Idol tonight at 8pm on Fox.

The Plot:
How far would you go to save the only thing you have left in the world? At 8 years of age, Michael Winstone watched as his father, CIA agent Paul Winstone, was murdered. Now 10 years later, Paul’s wife, Becca, is faced with the reality that her son is growing up. When Michael is afforded the opportunity to study abroad, his mother reluctantly agrees it’s time to let him go. But just a few weeks into his trip, Michael disappears, and Becca immediately suspects foul play. When she arrives in Rome, she begins piecing together the clues left behind. It isn’t long before the kidnappers realize they’ve picked a fight with the wrong woman, because Becca has a secret of her own — before Paul’s death, she was also a lethal CIA operative. If she wants to find her son alive, Becca will have to rely on old friends and reopen old wounds. All of her resourcefulness, skill and determination will be put to the test — but a mother’s love knows no limits.
Carrie Underwood looks gorgeous in a variety of high fashion outfits in the new video for “Good Girl,” however the video doesn’t tell any sort of story. It’s just Underwood singing and posing in pretty clothes. I like the song, but I’m not a huge fan of this video.
Watch the video and see what you think:
“Good Girl” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Digital Country Songs chart with 108,000 in sales over its first three days in release. Carrie, Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley wrote the track which is the lead single off of her upcoming album, Blown Away, releasing on May 1st.
You’ve got to love this tagline for The Loved Ones: “Prom night can be torture”
Paramount’s Insurge Pictures has released a new trailer for the horror film The Loved Ones written and directed by Sean Byrne. The film’s set for a June release, with the studio asking fans to visit www.TheLovedOnesMovie.com to get a screening scheduled at their local theater.
The Plot:
“Lola Stone asked Brent Mitchell to the prom, but Brent said no, and now he’s screwed. What happens when Lola doesn’t get what she wants? She enlists Daddy’s help to throw a prom of her own where she is queen and Brent is king, whether he likes it or not. The Loved Ones is what happens when puppy love goes horribly, violently wrong. Brent should have said yes.”
The show focuses on Dina Eastwood, Clint’s wife, as well as their daughters Francesca (18) and Morgan (15), along with the all-male vocal group Overtone managed by Dina. Per E!, the “series invites viewers to witness their lives and proves that familial bonds are shaped by more than DNA.”
“Nothing is more important to me than family – no matter how you define that,” states Dina Eastwood in the official press release. “People might be surprised by how we live our lives and our unconventional approach, and I also believe that it’s hard not to fall in love with my band, ‘Overtone.'”
“I’m really proud of my family,” added Clint Eastwood. “They are a constant source of inspiration and entertainment.”
Meet the Eastwood Family [Courtesy of E!]:
A California native, Dina is a former news anchor who, in 1993, was assigned an interview with Clint Eastwood. She certainly got more than she bargained for as the reporter and the actor/director married three years later. Beautiful and boho-chic, she is a constant fixture in her daughters’ daily lives and works to create as harmonious a home as possible. That’s not to say that the exuberant brunette doesn’t have a hobby: in fact, she has SIX. While in South Africa with Clint three years ago, Dina discovered a six-man vocal group who call themselves “Overtone.” Moved by their talent and star-potential, she re-located all six young musical men to Carmel, CA and has been acting as their mentor, mother and manager ever since.
Opinionated and artistic, Francesca Eastwood is the daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher, though she also calls Dina “mom.” A bit of a ‘free spirit,’ Francesca is in a serious relationship with her 29-year old boyfriend, famed photographer Tyler Shields. She is his muse, he is her passion. Deeply in love, the couple has been together since 2011 and as a result, Francesca’s world and her relationships are changing.
High-school student Morgan Eastwood is compassionate with a heart of gold. She loves her mother very much, but is at that age where mothers and daughters don’t always see eye to eye and she is constantly surrounded by her group of close friends. Occasionally embarrassed by Dina’s behavior, Morgan is experiencing watershed moments of her adolescence from learning how to drive to finding her own voice. Watching Francesca become an adult and being surrounded by the older boys in “Overtone,” Morgan is now on the brink of womanhood.
Comprised of six sexy young men – Emile Welman, Eduard Leonard, Tino Ponsonby, Ernie Bates, Riaan Weyers and Shane Smith – “Overtone” is one of the most popular acts in South Africa and has performed with A-list musicians such as Corinne Bailey Rae and One Republic. Emile is tall, dark and handsome and is the front-man of the group. He and Francesca have a distant history of flirtation…though no one knows the real story. Tino is recently engaged and his charismatic, yet ornery, behavior sometimes causes tension within the group; Eduard is the heart and soul of the group, sweet and sensitive; Ernie can play almost any instrument and has been making music since childhood; Riaan is the “animal-whisperer” of the group – he can woo almost any creature- four legged or two legged and Shane is the crew’s self-described “ladies man.”
Starz just revealed they’ve cast two new key roles for the upcoming third season of the historic drama, Spartacus. The young Gaius Julius Caesar will be played by Todd Lasance while Simon Merrells has been tapped to play Marcus Licinius Crassus in Spartacus season 3.
Lasance’s credits include the Australian legal drama Crownies in which he played Ben McMahon and the role of Quick Lamb in the TV miniseries Cloudstreet. He also starred with Grant Bowler in the telemovie The Great Mint Swindle.
Merrells had a recurring role on BBC’s Mersey Beat, was DO Griggs in the UK drama London’s Burning, and was in Family Affair, Doctors, and the feature film The Wolfman starring Benicio Del Toro, Emily Blunt, and Sir Anthony Hopkins.
Per Starz:
“Gaius Julius Caesar is a handsome young rogue from an esteemed lineage. Hi deadly intelligence and skill with a sword will be brought to bear against the rebellion. And Caesar will begin his ascent towards the all-powerful ruler he will one day become.”
“Marcus Licinius Crassus is the richest man in the Roman Republic. Envied and despised by the highborn among the senate, he craves the power and respect that defeating Spartacus and his rebel army would bring.”

The Plot Basics for Game of Thrones Season 2 [Courtesy of HBO]:
The ten-episode second season of Game of Thrones plays out against the backdrop of a fast-approaching winter – the season of the white raven. In King’s Landing, the coveted Iron Throne is occupied by cruel young Joffrey, counseled by his conniving mother Cersei and his uncle Tyrion, who has been appointed Hand of the King.
But the Lannister hold on the Throne is under assault on many fronts. Robb Stark, son of Ned Stark, the slain Lord of Winterfell, seeks autonomy in the North and has taken Cersei’s brother Jaime prisoner in battle. Daenerys Targaryen looks to shore up her depleted power in the East with her three newborn dragons. Stannis Baratheon, brother of the late King Robert, rejects Joffrey’s legitimacy and aligns with a powerful priestess to raise a naval attack. And Renly, Stannis’ charismatic brother, has maintained his own claim since fleeing King’s Landing.
In the meantime, a new leader is rising among the wildlings North of the Wall, adding fresh perils for Jon Snow and the order of the Night’s Watch.
