The Plot:
When Britain’s leading fisheries expert (Ewan McGregor) is approached by a consultant (Emily Blunt) to help realize a sheikh’s (Amr Waked) vision of bringing the sport of fly-fishing to the desert, he immediately thinks the project is both absurd and unachievable. But when the Prime Minister’s overzealous press secretary (Kristin Scott Thomas) latches on to it as a “good will” story, this unlikely team will put it all on the line and embark on an upstream journey of faith and fish to prove the impossible, possible.

The Plot:
Nine strangers—all tenants of a New York high-rise apartment—escape a nuclear attack by hiding out in the building’s bunker-like basement. Trapped for days underground with no hope for rescue, and only unspeakable horrors awaiting them on the other side of the bunker door, the group begins to descend into madness, each turning on one another with physical and psycho-sexual torment. As supplies dwindle, and tensions flare, they grow increasingly unhinged by their close quarters and hopelessness. Each act against one another becomes more depraved than the next. While everyone in the bunker allows himself or herself to be overcome by desperation and lose their humanity, one survivor holds onto a thin chance for escape, even with no promise of salvation on the outside.

‘Jersey Shore’ Season 5: Plot Details, Cast, and Trailer
Season five of MTV’s popular reality series Jersey Shore kicks off on January 5, 2012. The one-hour show features Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi and Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino, and Paul ‘DJ Pauly D’ DelVecchio.
Season five also features Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Sammi Giancola, Vinny Guadagnino, Angelina Pivarnick (season one and part of season 2), and Deena Cortese.

What You Need to Know:
Jersey Shore is back for its 5th season and it’s more popular than ever. The MTV series follows the lives of eight strangers who share a house at the Jersey Shore. It quickly became everyone’s favorite train wreck to watch, what with all the partying, fighting, hookups, and breakups. Two cast members – Ronnie and Sammi – even decided to get into a relationship that shortly turned into the world’s worst and most annoying pair-up. They fight and break up and get back together – and the viewers soon realized that’s all they do.
In Season 2 they took the show on the road and went to Miami, and it was absolutely no surprise the partying and fighting continued. It was the women in the house who did all the fighting, with most of the action going on between Angelina and Snooki (Nicole Polizzi). No one liked Angelina and, eventually, she left. JWoww (Jenni) and Sammi finally came to blows with the fight heard around the world…well, at least the “reality” world.
In Season 3 they went back to Seaside Heights on the Jersey Shore. Snooki brought a friend to come live with them for the summer, and the girls were still on the outs with Sammi. And, of course, soon after arriving at the Shore, Sammi and JWoww got into another physical altercation.
But with all the girl-on-girl action going on, let’s not forget ‘The Situation (Mike Sorrentino) – although I think a lot of people would like to forget about him. All Mike does is cause problems with everyone in the house and start drama.
By the end of season three, the girls have kissed and made up and all is right in the house – with the girls, at least.
Season 4 found the group heading off to Italy. Since most are Italian-Americans, I guess the producers thought this would be a good idea. However, most Italians weren’t happy with the way they were portrayed. The girls all got along fine, but everyone became increasingly tired of Mike’s behavior. Ronnie finally had enough of Mike’s antics and they got into an actual fist fight. But as soon as it began it was over…because Mike managed to knock himself out.
By the end of season 4, the group couldn’t wait to return to the States and everyone wanted Mike to leave.

Details on The Voice [Courtesy of NBC]:
The show’s innovative format features three stages of competition: the first begins with the blind audition, then the competition enters into a battle phase, and finally, the live performance shows.
During the blind auditions, the decisions from the musician coaches are based solely on voice and not on looks. The coaches hear the artists perform, but they don’t get to see them — thanks to rotating chairs. If a coach is impressed by the artist’s voice, he/she pushes a button to select the artist for his/her team. At this point, the coach’s chair will swivel so that he/she can face the artist he/she has selected.
Once the teams are set, the battle is on. Coaches will dedicate themselves to developing their singers, giving them advice, and sharing the secrets of their success. During the battle rounds the coaches will pit two of their own team members against each other to sing the same song together in front of a studio audience.
After the vocal face-off, the coach must choose which of his/her singers will advance.
At the end of the battle episodes, only the strongest members of each coach’s roster remain and proceed to the live stage shows.
In this final performance phase of the competition, the top artists from each team will compete against each other during a live broadcast. The television audience will vote to save their favorite talent, leaving the coach to decide live who they want to save and who will not move on. In the end, each coach will have one star artist left ready to compete against the other teams’ finalists to be named “The Voice” – the winner will receive the grand prize of a recording contract.
