Season two of the Australian thriller The Tourist starring Jamie Dornan has found a new home at Netflix. The BBC series’ first season premiered in the U.S. on HBO Max, but the streamer declined to pick up the distribution rights for season two. Season one’s also coming to Netflix and will be available to binge on February 1, 2024.

The series follows BAFTA and Golden Globe award-nominated Jamie Dornan (Belfast, The Fall) as Elliot, a man who wakes up in the Australian outback with no idea of who he is or how he got there. Season two finds Elliot and Helen (Danielle Macdonald) heading to Ireland in hopes of discovering more details about his identity. Per Netflix, “instead, they are forced to face the dangerous consequences of his past actions.”

The season two cast also includes Conor MacNeill (Industry), Olwen Fouéré (The Northman), Francis Magee (Then You Run), Mark McKenna (Sing Street), Diarmaid Murtagh (Outlander), and Nessa Matthews (Fair City). Greg Larsen (Dirty Laundry Live, How Not to Behave) reprises his role as Ethan Krum.

Jack and Harry Williams created the thriller and serve as writers and executive producers. Jamie Dornan, Sarah Hammond, Daniel Walker, and Nawfal Faizullah also executive produce. The Tourist is a Two Brothers Pictures (Baptiste, The Missing, Fleabag) production for the BBC, in association with Stan, ZDF, and All3Media International.

Larry David’s critically acclaimed comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm will wrap up with the upcoming 12th season. The 10-episode final season will premiere on February 4, 2024 on HBO, with new episodes arriving on Sundays at 10pm ET/PT.

The season/series finale will air on April 7th.

“As Curb comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be – the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character,” stated Larry David. “And so ‘Larry David,’ I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders.”

Joining Larry David for the final season are Jeff Garlin (The Goldbergs), Susie Essman (Broad City), Cheryl Hines (Suburgatory), J.B. Smoove (Mapleworth Murders), Richard Lewis (Anything But Love), Ted Danson (The Good Place), Vince Vaughn (Wedding Crashers), and Tracey Ullman (The Mandalorian).

“It’s hard to say farewell to such a ground-breaking, brilliantly funny, and iconic series like Curb Your Enthusiasm, which has left its mark across television and the comedy genre. Working alongside Larry David and Jeff Schaffer as well as all of the comedic masterminds that comprise our producers, cast, and crew has been a joy that I will always treasure,” said Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO, HBO & Max Content.

Larry David created the series and serves as an executive produce along with Jeff Garlin and Jeff Schaffer. Co-executive producers include Laura Streicher and Jennifer Corey.

The Emmy Award-winning comedy follows Larry David as an over-the-top version of himself and offers a tongue-in-cheek depiction of the writer/producer/comedian’s fictionalized life. Shot without a script, the cast receive a basic outline of the scenes and then improvise their lines.

‘IF’ Teaser Trailer Brings Imaginary Friends to Life

John Krasinski returns to the director’s chair with IF, a family comedy starring Ryan Reynolds. The first teaser trailer reveals a world in which imaginary childhood friends are real, and it’s up to Reynolds and Cailey Fleming to save them.

The cast also includes Krasinski, Fiona Shaw, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr., Alan Kim, and Liza Colón-Zayas. Krasinski’s The Office co-star Steve Carell also joins the fun, voicing a massive purple IF named Blue.

“I figured I needed to make a movie for my kids. Seeing as though Quiet Place is like PG-40 in our house — they won’t see Quiet Place till they’re 40 — I figured I should make one for them,” said Krasinski in an interview with EW.

IF is about a girl who discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends — and what she does with that superpower — as she embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten IFs with their kids,” reads Paramount’s synopsis.

Krasinski, Reynolds, Allyson Seeger, and Andrew Form serve as producers, with John J. Kelly and George Dewey executive producing.

Paramount is releasing IF in theaters on May 17, 2024.

‘Good Omens’ is Renewed for a Third and Final Season

Michael Sheen is back as angel/rare-book dealer Aziraphale and David Tennant returns as the demon Crowley for a third – and final – season of Prime Video’s incredibly engaging series Good Omens. Filming is expected to get underway soon in Scotland, with author Neil Gaiman back as writer, executive producer, and showrunner.

“I’m so happy finally to be able to finish the story Terry and I plotted in 1989 and in 2006,” said Gaiman. “Terry was determined that if we made Good Omens for television, we could take the story all the way to the end. Season One was all about averting Armageddon, dangerous prophecies, and the End of the World. Season Two was sweet and gentle, although it may have ended less joyfully than a certain Angel and Demon might have hoped. Now in Season Three, we will deal once more with the end of the world. The plans for Armageddon are going wrong. Only Crowley and Aziraphale working together can hope to put it right. And they aren’t talking.”

Season one premiered in May 2019 and season two finally launched in July 2023. Prime Video hasn’t announced a target date for the debut of season three.

Good Omens has checked every box for a clever, witty, and funny comedy that not only made it a success on Prime Video, but also made ‘goodness’ watchable and fun thanks to Neil and Terry’s immense creativity,” stated Vernon Sanders, head of television, Amazon MGM Studios. “The final season is sure to be packed with the same dynamic energy that our global customers have come to enjoy.”

Good Omens is based on Gaiman and Sir Terry Pratchett’s Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch. Narrativia’s Rob Wilkins (representing Terry Pratchett’s estate) and BBC Studios Productions’ head of comedy Josh Cole executive produce. The series is an Amazon MGM Studios, BBC Studios Productions, the Blank Corporation, and Narrativia production.

“We’re delighted to see Crowley and Aziraphale returning after breaking our hearts in Season Two. Seeing award-winning duo David [Tennant] and Michael [Sheen] reunited will be such a joy. We only wish Terry was here to enjoy the ride with us,” said Wilkins.

Fox’s The Cleaning Lady season three has expanded its series regular cast to include Kate del Castillo (A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow) and Santiago Cabrera (Star Trek: Picard). The newcomers will make their debuts as siblings Ramona Sanchez and Jorge Sanchez when The Cleaning Lady returns for season three on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 8pm ET/PT.

Cabrera and del Castillo join a cast that’s led by Élodie Yung as Thony De La Rosa. Miranda Kwok developed the series and serves as showrunner with Jeannine Renshaw. Kwok, Renshaw, Rose Marie Vega, and Paola Suarez executive produce.

Fox released this description of the series and the new characters del Castillo and Cabrera will be playing:

The Cleaning Lady follows Thony De La Rosa, a whip-smart Cambodian doctor who comes to the U.S. for a medical treatment to save her ailing son, but when the system fails and attempts to push her down, Thony refuses to be marginalized, and instead takes matters into her own hands. Forced to use unconventional measures to protect her family and save the ones she loves; Thony further crosses the moral line as she gets deeper entwined in the criminal underbelly of Las Vegas.

The Cleaning Lady continues to examine the plight of undocumented immigrants and their difficulties accessing necessary healthcare and resources. It is a story of empowerment, resilience, and explores the struggles and triumphs of the human spirit. It asks us all if the ends justify the means.

Kate del Castillo plays the elegant, beautiful, and regal matriarch Ramona Sanchez, who has the grace and quiet wisdom that belies a ruthless cunning below the surface. To the world, she’s a benevolent philanthropist, art collector, and loving aunt to a young child, but behind closed doors, she’s shrewd, powerful, and fiercely protective of her family, her business and her many dark secrets.

Driven by the desire to seek out the right heir to continue her legacy, Ramona deftly manipulates everyone in her orbit to determine who are her allies and eliminate those who are her obstacles. Throughout the season, Ramona will sharpen her claws to ensure she gets what she wants and calmly eviscerates anyone who stands in her way without breaking a sweat.

Her brother, Jorge Sanchez, played by Santiago Cabrera is intelligent and intuitive with a deep inner strength. He was born in Mexico but raised in the U.S. with all the privileges that newfound wealth has brought to his family. A Harvard Law grad, Jorge has been working as a successful businessman using legitimate business fronts to launder money and serve as a fixer in his family’s organization.

Struggling with his wife’s untimely death, he cycles through stages of grief and an insatiable rage at the world, often making him volatile and unpredictable. The only joy left in his life is his daughter, Violeta, whom he strives to protect above all else. But everything changes when Thony walks into his life, opening old wounds, reminding him of the family he once lost – and challenging him to be the person he could be.
