‘You’ is Renewed for a Fifth and Final Season

You Season 4 Part 2

Netflix has renewed You for a fifth and final season and promises fans will receive a satisfying “killer” ending to Joe Goldberg’s story. While Netflix did confirm the charismatic serial killer will return to wrap things up, the streaming service didn’t provide any hints as to what’s in store for Joe.

Sera Gamble, who developed the series with Greg Berlanti and served as showrunner for the first four seasons, will be stepping back from showrunner for the final season.

“As I step back from day-to-day showrunning to focus on new projects, I’m immensely grateful to co-creator and all-around genius Greg Berlanti, Caroline Kepnes, my friends at Berlanti Productions and Alloy Entertainment, and our steadfast partners at Warner Bros and Netflix. Making the show alongside our writers, producers, directors, cast, and crew has been an honor and ridiculously fun,” stated Gamble. “And I feel lucky to have worked with an artist as gifted and thoughtful as Penn Badgley. I’m proud of what we’ve all accomplished and feel privileged to pass the torch. I’m excited to watch and support the You team as they bring Joe Goldberg’s journey to its delightfully twisted conclusion.”

Gamble will remain involved as an executive producer. Season five will be guided by executive producers Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo as co-showrunners.

“We are so incredibly grateful to Netflix and Sera and everyone that has been a part of this show from the beginning,” stated executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter. “Sera is the most brilliant writer and partner and she will remain a key part of the You family as an executive producer. We intend to bring her every idea we can from our company for years to come.”

Berlanti and Schecter added: “Ever since our friends at Alloy shared Caroline Kepnes’ fantastic book we have always conceived it as a five-season journey. We are excited to continue our relationship with Mike and Justin as they take over the reins as co-showrunners and prepare to bring Joe Goldberg home.”

Penn Badgley leads the cast as Joe Goldberg. Season four also stars Tati Gabrielle as Marienne Bellamy, Tilly Keeper as Lady Phoebe, Amy Leigh Hickman as Nadia, Ed Speleers as Rhys, Lukas Gage as Adam, and Charlotte Ritchie as Kate. Niccy Lin, Aidan Cheng, Stephen Hagan, Eve Austin, and Ben Wiggins are also featured in season four, along with Ozioma Whenu, Dario Coates, Sean Pertwee, Brad Alexander, Alison Pargeter, and Adam James.

You became an instant sensation on Netflix with a resounding cultural impact that has grown season over season. We’re excited — and a bit terrified — to see how it all ends for Joe Goldberg, but one thing is for sure: YOU are in for an unforgettable ending,” teased Peter Friedlander, Vice President of Scripted Series, Netflix, US and Canada.

BTS’s Jimin Drops Solo Album ‘FACE’ and Unveils New Music Video

Jimin of the hugely popular group BTS dropped his debut solo album, FACE, on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 12am ET to eagerly awaiting fans. Along with the release of FACE, the main track – “Like Crazy” – was accompanied by a new music video.

The album is available now on all streaming platforms. The physical album is available in retail stores, including a Target Exclusive album.

Jimin described this album during his promotional tour as illustrating the honest feelings he experienced during the pandemic. Big Hit Music adds: “It represents Jimin’s breakthrough and growth achieved through vanquishing loneliness and struggles beneath the glare of stardom. Jimin finally stands at a new starting point after facing himself entirely, as suggested in the title of the album.”

The album includes “Set Me Free Pt.2,” released in advance on March 17. “Set Me Free Pt. 2” went to number one on iTunes in over 100 countries within days of release, and the music video gathered 40 million views and counting in the first week.

The main track, “Like Crazy,” has two versions, including one in English. The song can be described as a trap soul genre song. The inspiration behind the song comes from one of Jimin’s favorite films, Like Crazy. Like the story in the 2011 movie, the song represents relatable feelings of pain, loss, and the struggle of trying hard not to face the heartbreaking reality.

FACE has six tracks, and Jimin participated in the overall album-making process, including songwriting and developing the music videos for both “Set Me Free Pt.2” and “Like Crazy.” Bandmate and leader of BTS, RM, has writing credits on a few of the songs including the main track.

Fans who got their hands on the physical album were pleasantly surprised to find a hidden track at the end of the album titled “Letter.” The hidden track’s credits confirm bandmate Jungkook provides background vocals on the song.

Jimin appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on March 23rd to talk about his new album and, according to the network, he’ll be back on March 24th for a performance.

Jimin has plans to promote his new album on various shows in South Korea including the popular music shows M Countdown, Music Bank, and Inkigayo where he will perform a couple of his songs off FACE. Jimin will also appear on bandmate Suga’s show that he’s been hosting, Suchwita.
