The action thriller Hunter Killer now has Relativity Studios, Millennium Films and Original Film on board to produce and distribute. Gerard Butler is attached to star and will produce along with Alan Siegel, Neal Moritz, and Toby Jaffe. Filming’s expected to get underway by next summer.

Relativity Studios and Millennium are co-financing with Relativity handling domestic distribution and Millennium handling the foreign distribution.

“I’m very happy that we have resolved the misunderstanding between the parties,” said Moritz. “I especially want to thank Ryan Kavanaugh for finding a solution that brings Hunter Killer back to life. I’m looking forward to working with him and everyone at Relativity Studios to make a great film, and I am sorry we had a miscommunication.”

Hunter Killer is going to be a terrific movie, and I’m pleased that we were able to reach an agreement to bring the film to audiences,” said Relativity Chairman and CEO Ryan Kavanaugh. “Gerry is a close friend and this is yet another step forward for Relativity in its new iteration.”

“We’re thrilled to be joining forces for the first time with Ryan, Neal, Toby and their teams at Relativity Studios and Original on a script that we love,” said Mark Gill, President of Millennium Films. “And we’re thrilled to be back in business with our longtime friends Gerry Butler and Alan Siegel, with whom we have had tremendous success over the years.”

FX Networks has just released details on their winter 2016 lineup, setting premiere dates for the new series Baskets and American Crime story: The People v O.J. Simpson. The network also confirmed return dates for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (on FXX), Man Seeking Woman (also on FXX), and The Americans. The two FXX comedies will be the first to join the primetime lineup on January 6, 2016, with Baskets set to debut on January 21, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT. American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson starring John Travolta premieres on February 2, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT. The Americans will be back for season four sometime in March, however the date hasn’t yet been determined.

Here’s the details on the 2016 schedule, courtesy of FX Networks:

Baskets: Chip Baskets (series creator Zach Galifianakis) wants to follow his dream of being a French clown—however, reality keeps interfering. Saddled with financial difficulties and facing an impenetrable language barrier, he moves back home to Bakersfield with high hopes. There, he is forced to confront his past while working as a rodeo clown and competing with his siblings for his mother’s approval and affection.

American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson: Based on the book The Run of His Life: The People V. O.J. Simpson by Jeffrey Toobin, the limited series is a look at the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers. It explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court, and how a combination of prosecution overconfidence, defense shrewdness, and the LAPD’s history with the city’s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt. From Executive Producers Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Scott Alexander, Larry Karaszewski and Brad Falchuk, American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson stars John Travolta, Cuba Gooding Jr., Sarah Paulson, David Schwimmer, Courtney B. Vance, Sterling Brown, Nathan Lane, Kenneth Choi, Christian Clemenson and Bruce Greenwood.

This season, the gang gets involved in even more insane adventures including a move to the suburbs, shooting a smut film, defending themselves in court, and playing another deranged round of the legendary board game Chardee MacDennis.

Man Seeking Woman: Man Seeking Woman’s surreal new season about the life-and-death stakes of dating will follow “Josh Greenberg” (Jay Baruchel) as he soldiers through foolish texts, awkward dates, cloning disasters, man-on-car sex, hundreds of deaths, and worst of all, a season-long love triangle with his best friend. The series also stars Eric Andre (The Eric Andre Show) as “Mike,” Josh’s confident and daring best friend; and Britt Lower (Unforgettable) as “Liz,” Josh’s intimidating older sister. New Recordings of Jeff Buckley Featured on ‘You and I’

Jeff Buckley You and I

Columbia Records will release You and I on March 11, 2016 featuring 10 just discovered tracks by Jeff Buckley. Apparently the cover songs were recorded back in February 1993 at Steve Addabbo’s Shelter Island Sound Studio and have been in the Sony Music archives since then. They were uncovered during the research process for the 20th anniversary of Buckley’s Grace album. None of the recently discovered tracks have been released before and according to Columbia Records they represent a “rare opportunity to hear Jeff Buckley in peak form, developing his artistry through a series of spellbinding solo performances, each one captured in pristine sonic detail.”

“As we began to explore how we might celebrate the 20th anniversary of Jeff Buckley’s Grace, the vault–as it still occasionally and unexpectedly will–presented us with an unbelievable gift: this ‘lost’ cache of studio recordings from the period,” said Adam Block, President, Legacy Recordings. “We quickly realized how remarkable they were. They offer an incredible, rare glimpse of an artist, alone, in the sacred space that is the studio. There’s an intimacy and an honesty to the performances that’s literally breathtaking. You & I is an important addition to Jeff’s recorded legacy and will be a thrill for both his devoted longtime fans and newcomers alike.”

You and I will also feature Buckley’s original songs “Grace” and “Dream of You and I.” The “Grace” track included on You and I is the first-ever studio recording of that song. According to Columbia Records, Buckley’s mother, Mary Guibert, was actively involved in putting together You and I.

Jeff Buckley You and I Track List:

1. Just Like A Woman (Bob Dylan cover)
2. Everyday People (Sly & The Family Stone cover)
3. Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Cryin’ (First recorded by Louis Jordan)
4. Grace (original)
5. Calling You (Jevetta Steele cover)
6. Dream Of You And I (original)
7. The Boy With The Thorn In His Side (The Smiths cover)
8. Poor Boy Long Way From Home (traditional blues song, Bukka White cover)
9. Night Flight (Led Zeppelin cover)
10. I Know It’s Over (The Smiths cover)

‘Arrow’ Season 4 Episode 6 Recap: Lost Souls

The CW’s Arrow season four episode six had a fair share of love connections, the near-dissolution of one fan favorite relationship, and a still out-of-control Sara. The episode also revealed the entirety of Ray’s message which sent Felicity into a shame spiral (no showers, no sleep, but lots of junk food) because she didn’t realize he was attempting to reach out to her while she was off gallivanting around with Oliver. One of the better Arrow episodes, “Lost Souls” tied up one storyline while opening up the possibility that one supporting character might emerge as more of a player than fans anticipated this season.

Arrow Season Four Episode Six Recap:

The episode kicks off with a flashback to Palmer Industries six months ago. Ray (Brandon Routh) is working on his suit when something goes wrong and there’s a massive explosion.

Present day and Thea (Willa Holland), Oliver (Stephen Amell), and Alex (Parker Young) are sitting around figuring out Oliver’s platform. Felicity ((Emily Bett Rickards) is supposed to be handling the budget but she’s slammed at Palmer Tech. Oliver leaves and Alex asks Thea out on a date, but she tells him her life is just too complicated right now. Alex thought there was something between them and is embarrassed, but Thea assures him it was nice to be asked.

At Palmer Tech, Felicity is playing Ray’s last message – “I’m alive and I’m in trouble” – over and over again. Curtis (Echo Kellum) finds her doing it wile surrounded by munchies, and it’s clear Felicity isn’t making any headway. Curtis tries to get her to take a break, but she refuses. In walks Oliver and Felicity introduces him to Curtis. Immediately, Curtis tries to figure out if Oliver is Green Arrow by blocking out the top half of his head with his hand. He tells Oliver Green Arrow showed up when Oliver came back to town. Curtis decides they are not the same person because Oliver’s jaw’s not right.

Curtis leaves and Oliver asks Felicity why she didn’t come to the campaign office. She plays him Ray’s recording, and Oliver says it’s not possible Ray survived. Felicity says the message was sent six days ago so he has to be alive.

Back in time on the island, Oliver leads the bad guys to a secret area and they uncover a “message from the ancients.” Oliver’s charged with leading an excavation on a beach at a cove by a mountain until the “gift” is uncovered.

Sara (Caity Lotz) calls her mom to check in as Laurel (Katie Cassidy) and her dad, Quentin (Paul Blackthorne), seem super happy to have her back and reunited with her soul. Sara’s still very emotional and her dad and Laurel are supportive as she deals with being back among the living.

Oliver takes Felicity home and she’s pissed because his response to learning Ray’s alive was to tell Felicity she needs a shower and a nap. Felicity doesn’t want to listen to either Oliver or Curtis, and she’s uncharacteristically snappy and sarcastic. Then, she backs down a bit, asking for a shoulder massage. Before she can hop in the shower, an alert sounds about the back trace she set up. She and Oliver check out her laptop and after some pixelation, Ray is there and tells them he’s being held against his will by people who want his suit. He doesn’t know where he’s being held, but he says his suit worked a little too well. The camera pulls out and we see that Ray is now only a few inches tall and in a glass case on a table in a laboratory.

Felicity and Oliver head to Team Arrow’s new lair and Felicity replays the message for Laurel. Felicity has to head back to Palmer Tech to pull up schematics, and when Oliver volunteers to go with her she quickly shoots him down.

Back on the island, Oliver is in charge of a group of captives who are trying to find the hidden gift. When Oliver’s not around, Conklin (Ryan Robbins) makes some kind of deal with one of the captives.

Curtis is geeking out over miniaturization and Felicity has to remind him Ray’s being held hostage. Curtis can build what’s needed except he needs a quantum manifold that has to come from the manufacture, which happens to be their biggest competitor. Just when Felicity thinks things can’t get worse, her mom shows up. Oliver agreed she could visit, believing it would help Felicity get some rest, but Felicity isn’t happy to see her. (Maybe this wasn’t a wise move on Oliver’s part.) Felicity tells Curtis to start building what they need and that the Green Arrow will get them the quantum manifold.

It’s nighttime and Green Arrow goes to KORD Industries for the manifold while Felicity oversees the action from their lair/command center. They’re still arguing over her mom’s arrival and Felicity is shocked he could stand up to the League of Assassins but not her mom. He explains that her mother said she missed her and texted him a single tear emoji. That sets Felicity off even more as she had no idea they were texting. Finally, the rest of the team – Diggle (David Ramsey), Thea, Laurel, and Sara – chime in letting Felicity know all of their lines have been open and they’ve heard everything. Felicity’s still fuming when she tells Oliver, who she temporarily renames Chatty Cathy, that the floors inside the building are pressure sensitive which means he has to handle the job. They will all have 90 seconds before they’re discovered. Oliver tells her when they’re done with this job they have to have a talk. Chatty Cathy hangs down from the ceiling and deactivates the alarm system, but after he lets everyone in the cameras come on. Chatty Cathy takes them out, but Felicity says they’ve upgraded their system which means they could be discovered even sooner. Everyone looks for the quantum manifold and Thea finds it. Just then armed guards come in and start firing, and Sara goes way overboard taking one of them out. They escape with the quantum manifold.

Ray shows up again and tells her he’s sorry the quantum manifold was so hard to procure. Before he can finish telling her what they need to figure out next, a shadow appears and Ray stops talking. Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) slowly comes into frame, looking down on Ray in his box. The picture is cut off.

Diggle tells Felicity that Laurel and Thea took Sara home, and Oliver wants to make sure Felicity actually saw Darhk. She did, and she’s angry. Oliver says because Darhk’s involved Lance can get the location of where Ray’s being held. Felicity thinks Darhk could just squish Ray, but Diggle and Oliver think if he wanted to kill him Darhk would have already done it. The plan is to get Curtis the manifold first and then they have to wait to see where Darhk is holding Ray. Felicity doesn’t want to wait, and Oliver suggests they relax and have dinner with her mom. He even volunteers to cook, and Felicity says she knows he already made the dinner plans. Oliver briefly denies it and then admits he did. Oliver says it happened unintentionally, but Felicity says with Ray’s life in danger it’s not the right time for a dinner with her mom.

Back on the island, Oliver delivers food to the woman captive in the cave. He asks her if Reiter (Jimmy Akingbola) ever did anything mystical or magical, and she says he’s odd and religious. Oliver thinks drugs are a front and it’s not all about the drugs or money, it’s also about power.

Darhk tells Ray his engineers aren’t having any success and Ray doesn’t want to help them. Darhk threatens Ray that if he doesn’t help, he’ll hurt Felicity. Darhk also tells Ray they weren’t originally listening for a message from a dead man, they just lucked into it.

Felicity’s mom, Donna (Charlotte Ross), is drinking wine after ruining dinner because Oliver was late. When Oliver arrives, apologizing, he and Felicity use code words to talk about Lance’s mission. Oliver says he’s trying to figure out what he did wrong. Mom leaves and Oliver admits it was a bad idea to have invited her. He doesn’t like being shut out and Felicity says it’s her fault what’s happened to Ray. Ray was sending distress calls for weeks but she was off traveling with Oliver so she didn’t get them. She feels guilty because she was “swept up” in being with Oliver at the same time Ray was reaching out to her. She says she lost herself in Oliver and that’s not who she is. Oliver says, “This isn’t about Ray, it’s about us.” Felicity says no, then yes, then, “I don’t know.” Oliver says he’s going to give her space and leaves.

At the lair, Oliver can’t figure out the cameras and Diggle shows up. Oliver misses the Russian Vodka that was hidden in their old lair and Diggle whips out some Tennessee Whiskey. Oliver tells him all about what Felicity said and Diggle thinks Oliver is just jealous. But Oliver says everything has gotten super complicated and he has no idea why Felicity chose him. He can’t operate the computer system and Ray probably invented it. Diggle says Felicity didn’t choose Ray because what looks good on paper isn’t always the best thing. Diggle married a woman just like her and knows that Felicity will figure it out with time and space. Lance texts that he’s meeting with Darhk in 20 minutes.

Back on the island, the captive Conklin was talking to attacks Oliver.

Lance tells Darhk Sara is back but he still needs his help. Darhk gets back in his car and leaves, and Diggle follows him.

Felicity’s in bed and her mom comes in with hot milk. Felicity first sends her away and then calls her back in. They have a heart-to-heart about Felicity’s childhood and then her mom says Oliver is not the same as Felicity’s father who left them. Donna knows Oliver loves her, but Felicity says it’s too easy to lose herself in him. Donna says that’s how it’s supposed to feel when you’re in love and that Oliver has lost himself in her. Donna warns her not to get in her own way and that most people never find this kind of love. They laugh, Felicity cries, and Oliver texts that Diggle has Ray’s location.

Back at the lair, Felicity says the building is one of the most secured buildings on the west coast. They need what Curtis is assembling so that Ray can be resized and help them get out alive, and that means Curtis will have to go with them and assemble it in the field because he’s not done. Sara shows up and wants to help, saying she needs to know if she can control her anger.

At the warehouse, Green Arrow is knocked out by an armed guard. He comes to inside the building, chained up. Darhk has his bow and arrows and tells the guard to leave them. Out of Darhk’s sight, Diggle takes off his mask (he was the guard) and announces that the package was delivered. Thea, Laurel, and Sara are ready to infiltrate the building. Meanwhile, Felicity and Curtis are strapped together on top of a building ready to jump down. They do, and the chute opens so they glide down to their target while the rest of the team is involved in a gun battle (or arrow battle, in Thea’s case).

Darhk wants to peek under Green Arrow’s mask but Oliver stops him. Picking up his bow, he shoots at Darhk who easily deflects the arrow. Darhk uses his powers to strangle Green Arrow with the chains. Curtis and Felicity make it to Ray’s cube, but they can’t figure out how to open it.

Green Arrow gets free using a smoke bomb. Ray tells them the cameras in the box have to draw power from somewhere and Curtis says the dohickey is ready. He fires it up, shoots at Ray, and Ray busts out of the box back to his old normal size inside his suit. “I’m not dead,” says Ray, surprised.

The team is told Ray has been freed and it’s time to go, but Sara takes on one more bad guy. They try to stop her from killing him but can’t.

Green Arrow takes out a guy about to fire on Ray and they greet each other, with Ray complimenting Oliver’s new suit.

Back at their lair, Ray says the worst part was that everything was so big – including the cockroaches. Oliver’s glad Ray’s back to his old self and Felicity says his tests came back almost completely normal. Oliver tells him who Darhk is and Diggle says if they wanted his tech, it wasn’t a good thing. Felicity volunteers to take him home so she can catch him up on his company, but he says it’s still hers until he decides to officially come back from the dead. They leave and Oliver looks a bit forlorn.

Back on the island, Oliver’s in a life and death struggle. He wins and the other guy dies.

Sara knows this anger is a side effect and she can’t stop herself. She felt better after killing that guy, but she can’t keep doing this. She tells Laurel she owes her everything, but she has to go somewhere and start over. Thea tells her she doesn’t have to leave, but Sara says she’s going to visit her mom in Central City and travel until she figures things out. Laurel understands but she’ll miss her.

Oliver’s in bed reading a book when Felicity shows up. Felicity says she thinks they should clear the air and thanks him for helping to save Ray and being so understanding. Oliver apologizes for not being the best listener. It’s all new to both of them, and Oliver says it’s amazing they’ve made it this far. Felicity is sure they will be fine because they found themselves in each other. They kiss and make-up. Awww.

Lance is sitting at a bar when Felicity’s mom shows up. They talk about their kids and the reason why they’re drinking. They introduce themselves and it appears a love connection has been made.

At Oliver’s campaign headquarters, Thea tells Alex she needs a drink because she’s stressed. Then, she asks if they can get one later. Alex absolutely agrees to meeting her later. But as he walks away, Thea looks troubled.

Imba Means Sing Documentary

The documentary Imba Means Sing will debut digitally on December 4, 2015 with the filmmaker profits being donated to the African Children’s Choir featured in the film. In support of its upcoming release, a new trailer’s arrived spotlighting the three young people whose stories unfold in the music-filled film.

The Imba Means Sing Plot:

Imba Means Sing is an intimate character portrait told through the perspective of eight-year-old Moses, the choir’s star drummer. Growing up in the slums of Kampala, Uganda, Moses and his family lack enough resources for him to even attend the first grade and know all too well that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to secure his future and change the course of his family’s life. Armed with his youthful resilience and infectious smile, the film follows his journey from poverty towards his dream of becoming a pilot as he works for an education and spreads the magic of his African childhood.

Two fellow Choir members – Angel and Nina – join Moses as audiences experience Uganda and the West through their inquisitive and joy-filled eyes. Share in the heartbreak, homesickness and candid humor as Moses loses his drum solo, Nina yearns for her mom to get a job, and Angel pushes herself to become the first female President of Uganda. While the journey may come to a close when the children return home, one thing is certain: life as they knew it would never be the same.

Children selected to be in the African Children’s Choir are professionally trained to sing and dance. With their new vocational and educational opportunities, they are flown to the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom to perform in theaters, churches and community centers. Wise beyond their years, Angel, Moses and Nina understand the enormity of the opportunity they’ve been given and want desperately to do a good job. They are performing to raise the money that will fund their educations through college. The stakes are high: their own futures and the futures of their families rest in their hands.

In the second-to-last episode of The Bastard Executioner, viewers learn a few things that might just have their jaws on the floor. Loose ends are starting to be wrapped up in preparation for next week’s first season finale, while others are just now being revealed.

Milus Corbett (Stephen Moyer) and his men, including Wil (Lee Jones), Toran (Sam Spruell), and Ash (Darren Evans) all head towards the Deddington Monastary in search of the elusive Sir Piers Gaveston (Tom Forbes). They wake in the morning at camp and gather around the fire, where Leon (Alec Newman) jokes that “Maddox” is set to cook them breakfast. Ash is tending to the livestock that have pulled the supply cart, which also happens to have the surviving twin in the back, tied at both wrists and ankles. She attempts to seduce Ash with flattery, telling him that he has the face of an angel before asking him to loosen her bindings so that she can feel her extremities again. He makes her promise not to run before he loosens them. The minute he turns his back, she has the ropes off and takes off for the woods. Who didn’t see that coming? Ash runs after her silently, not letting the group know what has happened.

Back in Ventrishire, Jessamy (Sarah Sweeney) wakes in Isabel’s room, tied up. Love (Flora Spencer-Longhurst) is there, attempting to convince her that her true husband died in battle and that Jessamy tried to help a man who needed it while creating a better life for herself and her children. She reveals that Wil is not Maddox. She offers the woman two choices: accept the truth of her husband’s death or face charges for attacking Lady Love and put her children into servitude when she is slain for her actions.

Annora (Katey Sagal) and the Dark Mute (Kurt Sutter) wake on the coast. She knows that the priest has now been taken, along with Luca. In the caves that Annora used to call home, the Archdeacon of Windsor (Trevor Sellers) feeds Luca (Ethan Griffiths) and attempts to reason with Father Ruskin (Timothy V. Murphy).

Later, Ash reveals to Milus and the men that the maiden has gone, showing untied ropes as proof, but neglects to tell them that he had any part in her escape. Milus asks who had tied the loose bindings and Leon Tell confesses he was the one who tied her up. Wil suggests that she did not escape alone and Milus suspects that Gaveston is to blame. They break camp and hurry to the monastery. They find guards surrounding the entry to the castle and Milus says he is sure Gaveston is hidden within, because he can “smell the arrogance.” The Chamberlain gets all the best lines.

Wil wants to know how many guards there are in total and suggests they draw them out. Ash happens by, a doe harnessed by rope following him. He calls her Bernadette, saying she isn’t a talker. Milus suggests that is the dream of all men, a quiet doe. Wil and Milus decide that Bernadette is the perfect way to draw them out.

Ash and the doe walk into the knights’ view, where he tells them he brings fresh meat for them. They say there are not enough mouths to feed on a full doe, but more men will arrive the next evening. Ash leaves, stating that he can’t put the doe near the horses, because it spoils the meat. The knights think nothing of it and go about their guarding business.

Meanwhile, Lady Love brings food for Jessamy, who is still tied up. She asks to see her children and then tells Love that she can’t eat if her hands are bound. Love offers to feed her and Jessamy says she is not a child. Love says she will eat from Love’s hands or not at all, so Jessamy gives in, but then asks about the choices Love offered earlier. Love reiterates that if Jessamy accepts that Wil is not her husband, then the attack will be as though it never happened and Love will look after them and provide for her children.

Wil and Ash approach the knights as night falls, sparring verbally in front of them as a distraction. Milus and his men attack and enter the monastery, searching for Gaveston. They kill all they find, except one. Milus holds a sword to his throat, telling his men to pull all the pants down from the dead men. He tells the remaining guard that he intends to kill him, strip him naked, then cut off all the cocks from the slain guards and stuff them in the man’s mouth. Ash laughs, teasing the scared man. “The naked knight with a cock-stuffed mouth!” Everyone laughs. The man gives up the whereabouts of Gaveston rather than eat a bunch of dead cock. Milus and his men burst in on Gaveston, who is eating. Milus punches him in the face, saying he is here to “rescue” him. Meanwhile, Ash appears to be hiding human body parts in the wagon of supplies.

Back in the caves, the Archdeacon Robinus questions Father Ruskin, who reveals to the man that he was once part of the King’s army. The Archdeacon tells Ruskin that the order of the Seraphim are dangerous, carrying and protecting heretical gospels that will cause chaos to their people. Ruskin says that the only chaos that would be caused by these gospels is inside the chamber of the Pope. Robinus says that it is their goal to find all the gospels and destroy them before the gospels destroy faith as they know it. He asks Ruskin for the location of Annora.

The Earl of Pembroke (Julian Rhind-Tutt) and his whore are roused from their beds and brought to Milus, who has Gaveston tied to a chair and gagged. Pembroke tells Milus that he swore to King Edward that he would get Gaveston out of the kingdom safely and so would not give up Gaveston to anyone. Milus offers a cover story so that the king doesn’t take his anger out on Pembroke: The monastery was attacked and Gaveston was taken. When Pembroke still refuses, Milus has Wil prepare his tools. He wants to torture Pembroke’s whore to get him to give Gaveston over. Wil tells Milus in private that he cannot do this, she is innocent. Leon enters to advise Milus that he sent a rider to the Earl of Warrick to let them know that they have Gaveston. Milus dismisses Leon, who once more looks irritated at the preferential treatment Maddox receives over him. After he leaves, Milus tells Wil and Toran that if they do this, he will allow them to complete their vengeance by killing Leon and Locke (Ross O’Hennessy).

We briefly return to Lady Love and Jessamy as they talk about Wil’s feelings for the noble woman, wondering how they could be together. Jessamy asks once more to see her children.

Wil and Toran have agreed to torture Pembroke’s woman, but have created a way to do so without actually harming her. They tell Leon to go and get Pembroke, then tell Locke that he should stand far away as the blood and piss are bound to fly. Wil leans down, whispering to the frightened woman that he will only pretend to place the device, a spike, inside her. He says that she must scream as if in pain, enough to make her man believe that the torture is real when in reality, the spike will only be wedged between her thighs. Milus enters with Pembroke, who sees his woman bound to the chair and crying. The Chamberlain places a document on the table, asking him to sign the writ, a pledge stating that he willingly gave Gaveston to the Barons, then he and his whore can leave. Pembroke refuses and the “torture” begins. She convincingly cries out as the Earl looks away in disgust. Toran then grabs a hook, and says it will rip soft flesh. She screams again as Wil once more pretends to hurt her and Pembroke gives in. He signs the document and as they are released, Milus looks down at the chair where the woman was sitting, noticing there is no blood. He remarks on this and Toran grins at him. Milus is happy that he got what he needed and doesn’t really care that no harm was done to the woman. Toran then confesses to Wil that he feels more himself with each act of violence than he ever did worrying about crops in their village.

Father Ruskin is fed by the Archdeacon’s henchman Absolon (Francis McGee), who is interested to learn that Ruskin was a soldier. Ruskin reveals that he became a soldier out of anger as a child, but became a priest when his remorse as a man overwhelmed him. Robinus returns to talk to Ruskin again, who tells Robinus that the child had nothing to do with the order of Seraphim. Ruskin says he will take him to the healer and scarred man if Luca is released. The Archdeacon says after he has them, he will release Luca.

Milus, secure in the writ signed by Pembroke, confronts Gaveston alone. They share a drink and Gaveston states he is surprised to see a leader like Milus following the Barons like a sheep. He asks him what his plans are. Milus stands, drops his trousers and repeats the same line Gaveston gave him at Ventrishire, that his lips will loosen with a mouth around his cock. Unlike Gaveston, Milus allows Gaveston to actually place his mouth around his cock, then holds his head there, choking him. A few seconds later, he pushes Gaveston back, telling him that his cock is as limp as a palm frond and that Gaveston clearly no longer arouses him. He has Gaveston tied back up, calling him a “French bitch.”

Lady Love is concerned back in Ventrishire when she learns that the priest and Luca have been missing for two days. Jessamy holds her infant daughter, unaware that Luca is really missing. When she asks for him, Love tells her that the priest took him fishing. Jessamy agrees to Love’s choice, to accept Love’s truth about her real husband in return for the noble woman’s care of herself and her children. She wants proof however, but Love tells her that no decree can be written to prove their agreement. Love gives her word before God and before Jessamy’s daughter. Jessamy apologizes to Love for her attack.

Guy de Beauchamp, Earl of Warrick (Rod Hallett), arrives at the monastery to hold trial over Piers Gaveston. He gives Milus the compensation required, stating silver would arrive by week’s end. Milus gives the sworn writ of allegiance from Pembroke. The Earl announces the charges leveled against Gaveston – treason, malicious counsel and the willful disregard for the decree of exile. Gaveston says that they are making a mockery of the law and that he will die a martyr, as King Edward will surely take the head of those who take his. The Earl votes Gaveston guilty, as does Milus as Lady Love’s proxy. Gaveston is sentenced to death by beheading but neither Earl of Warrick or Milus wants to actually do the deed. Milus offers his sword, stating he can’t possibly do it because he is not of noble blood. Gaveston begins to spout off at the mouth, saying he expects the cowardice of the Earl but not from Corbett. He attempts to shame Milus by stating that the Lady of Ventrishire has bigger balls that he does. As Milus angrily strides forward with his sword in hand, Wil steps in as punisher. He tells Milus it is best that he does this, as Lady Love will need her Chamberlain.

Gaveston, now aware that he cannot escape the sentence, looks off into the distance. “I do not regret loving someone above my status, even if this is the fate.” Wil pauses a moment as he takes the statement personally, drawing in his mind the parallels of his feelings for Lady Love. He then beheads Gaveston, slicing his face in two. The top of his face falls to the side and onto the grass, and Gaveston’s eye blinks. Creepy and disgusting.

Meanwhile, Ruskin and the henchman discuss where Luca is. After he is assured that Luca is unharmed, he asks the henchman if the Archdeacon told him what Ruskin did for the King. When the man says no, Ruskin escapes his chains and tells him that he should have, because Ruskin was an assassin in the King’s army. He kills the man, frees Luca and the pair run from the cave. As they reach the top of the hill, they find themselves surrounded by armed men, including Sir Cormac and the Archbishop.

Milus and the men head back to Ventris. Ash drives the supply cart, a large smile on his face as they pass a patch of high weeds. The view dips into the weeds as they pass, revealing a naked female body, hands and feet missing and head separated from her neck. While the body is face down, the head is face up. It’s the missing twin, her blue eyes staring up at the cloudy sky, seeing nothing. Who knew Ash was a killer? Anyone see that coming?

Back in Ventrishire, Milus meets with Lady Love, providing her the compensation for delivering Gaveston to the Barons. She thanks him but does not look happy at the financial windfall. He asks her why and she reveals that the priest and Luca are missing. Milus offers to take men and start the search. She seems surprised and thanks him. He then asks if Maddox has been told yet, and when she responds that he hasn’t, he suggests that Lady Love break the news. Maddox seems to become a different man around her. Not sure what his angle is here, but obviously Milus thinks there is something to gain from Wil and Love together.

As he leaves his lady, Milus passes Frenchie (Matthieu Charneau), who still bears the cuts and bruises from the beating Milus gave him after Gaveston shamed him. He reaches out to touch Frenchie’s cheek, who backs away in fear. The look on his face reveals that Milus regrets what he did to Frenchie, who also appears relieved when Milus turns and continues to walk away from him. I say, we need more Frenchie!

Wil watches Jessamy sleep until Lady Love beckons him into the hallway. She confesses she is happy he came back unharmed and reveals that Jessamy has accepted that Wil is not her husband. She tells him of the deal she struck with Jessamy to provide for them but that Luca is missing. She fears that if Luca is not there in the morning, the deal will be undone and Jessamy will think that Love’s word means nothing. Wil says he will find Luca and bring him back.

Meanwhile, Toran is in the local bar and sees Sir Locke with his wife and two children. In slow motion, Toran stares at them, then his eyes find Sir Leon Tell sitting alone eating a meal. I feel like it’s about to go down in the finale. It’s only a matter of time before those two meet their end.

Wil enters his house, finding Annora waiting for him. She tells him that Luca and the priest were taken because of her. Wil becomes angry, wanting to know who has taken Luca and where they are. She wants to tell him things he is not ready to learn yet and he yells at her, stating he doesn’t want to hear about his holy destiny or learn any more lessons. She tells Wil that she didn’t know the boy was with the priest and he scoffs at this, the great seer not seeing that Luca was with him. He talks about how all he has done has weighed him down in unforgivable sins and blames her, calling her the devil. As he turns to leave, she cries out, “Wilkin, no! My son!” He turns and stares at her, stunned.

There’s a lot that happened in this episode that will surely play into next week’s season finale. Both Ash and Father Ruskin are killers, Milus has other plans for Lady Love and Wil, and is it just me, or do we think that Toran is about to lose his shit? The teaser preview for the finale shows a battle on the beach, including poor Luca at the end of a sword. Wil questions his devotion to God, but Annora tells him not to. There was also a clip of a shirtless Wil and an undressing Lady Love, but they’ve made us think that WiLove was about to get it on before, so I’m not trusting that editing on this teaser.

Also, Leon Tell is totally about to die, as Wil confronts him about the cross he wears. Leon swears he didn’t kill the woman who wore it, and we all know he’s telling the truth since it was revealed in episode two that the murderer was actually the Dark Mute, on Annora’s command. If Wil is Annora’s son, then why would Annora be willing to sacrifice her own blood by killing Petra (Elen Rhys) and her unborn child? Is the Dark Mute also Wil’s father, or did he simply fall in love with Annora after she had the child and helped her to rescue him from the nun who was trying to drown him as a babe? So many questions! I hope that the finale answers them all, but if I know Sutter, the final episode of season one is only going to leave me with more questions.
