‘In a Violent Nature’ Review

In a Violent Nature
Ry Barrett as Johnny in Chris Nash in ‘In a Violent Nature’ (Photo Courtesy of Pierce Derks / An IFC Films & Shudder Release)

Let’s face it. Slasher movies are formulaic. Even when they’re parodied, ripped-off, satirized, or re-invented, they still follow the same general guidelines. Still, there’s a pretty good chance that you’ve never seen a slasher quite like In a Violent Nature.

In a Violent Nature begins with some young people exploring an old burned-out fire post in the woods. One of them takes a gold necklace that they find there, which allows a long-dead killer named Johnny (Cult Hero’s Ry Barrett) to rise from his grave and torment the youngsters.

Yeah, that’s In a Violent Nature in a nutshell. It does follow the slasher formula and adheres to all of the stereotypes and tropes that go along with it, including the group of oversexed campers and the undead, seemingly unstoppable psycho killer who goes after them. Johnny’s origin story is even exposed via a campfire tale that’s right out of a Friday the 13th movie. In fact, the whole movie feels like a lost Friday the 13th movie, or maybe one of those mid-eighties imitations like The Final Terror or The Burning.

Where writer/director Chris Nash (who did the Z is for Zygote segment of ABCs of Death 2) forges new ground is in his approach to the slasher genre, or more specifically, in his perspective. In a Violent Nature is shown from the point of view of the killer, Johnny. The camera, and thus the audience, follows Johnny as he works his way through the woods and through the campers, showing his stalking and slicing of each individual member of the group. Any exposition that is delivered has to be put together by the viewer from bits and pieces that Johnny overhears or eavesdrops.

There’s still plenty of mythology behind Johnny, and Nash finds creative (if sometimes heavy-handed) ways to explain his killer’s backstory. Sometimes it’s a vision of Johnny’s father in a mirror, and sometimes it’s him listening to his victims arguing, but a surprising amount of information is provided about who Johnny is and where he comes from, considering the character never says a single word of dialogue himself.

So, it seems as if Chris Nash both reinforces and subverts the slasher genre with In a Violent Nature.

As is the case in any slasher movie worth its salt, the kills in In a Violent Nature are gruesome, visceral, and brutal. Almost overly so in a couple of places. Chris Nash is also a special effects guy whose credits include Astron-6’s Psycho Goreman, so the blood and guts flow freely. A couple of the murders almost have the audience crying “uncle,” going on and on sort of like the bear scene in The Revenant or the assault scene in I Spit on Your Grave. But Johnny doesn’t do what he does just to kill; he needs to get it all out of his system, and if that means continuing long after his victims are actually dead, well, who’s going to tell him no?

Despite the over-the-top kills and the supernatural element to the villain, there’s a stark realism to In a Violent Nature. The long, drawn-out one-take shots coupled with the complete absence of any musical score creates a voyeuristic sensation, as if the audience is along for a ride that will not stop until it reaches its inevitable conclusion no matter how badly that audience wants to get off. This gritty aesthetic only makes In a Violent Nature all the more disturbing. It’s not traditionally, jump-out-of-your-seat scary. It’s follow-you-home-and-hide-under-your-bed scary.

In a Violent Nature is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea. Portions of it move slowly since the story follows Johnny, and when he’s not killing, he’s just making his way around the woods. But, if you’ve ever wondered what a slasher killer does when they aren’t slashing and killing, here’s your chance to find out. It could be said that Chris Nash’s genre-defying exercise in slow-burn bloodshed is the future of the slasher movie, except that any other movie that follows the same pattern would just be a rip-off. Nash has both created and destroyed his own subgenre of horror. In a Violent Nature is in a category by itself.

The Bridgerton Season 3 Plot, Courtesy of Netflix:

From Shondaland and new showrunner, Jess Brownell, Bridgerton is back for its third season and finds Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) has finally given up on her long-held crush on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) after hearing his disparaging words about her last season. She has, however, decided it’s time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters. But lacking in confidence, Penelope’s attempts on the marriage mart fail spectacularly.

Meanwhile, Colin has returned from his summer travels with a new look and a serious sense of swagger. But he’s disheartened to realize that Penelope, the one person who always appreciated him as he was, is giving him the cold shoulder. Eager to win back her friendship, Colin offers to mentor Penelope in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband this season. But when his lessons start working a little too well, Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly.

Complicating matters for Penelope is her rift with Eloise (Claudia Jessie), who has found a new friend in a very unlikely place, while Penelope’s growing presence in the ton makes it all the more difficult to keep her Lady Whistledown alter ego a secret.

‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 3 Episode 1 Recap: “Soldier’s Heart”

Mayor of Kingstown Season 3 Episode 1 Recap
Jeremy Renner as Mike McLusky in ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ season 3 episode 1 (Photo Credit: Dennis P. Mong Jr./Paramount+)

It’s been a hot minute since we last saw Mike McLusky try to keep the peace in Kingstown, so it’s a good thing Paramount+’s Mayor of Kingstown season three episode one begins with a one-minute highlight reel from season two. If you recall, episode two ended with Mike’s mom, Mariam, and SWAT team leader Robert Sawyer hospitalized and both knocking on death’s door. The third season immediately provides the answer to Mariam’s fate.

And now on to the recap of season three episode one, “Soldier’s Heart.” Spoilers ahead!

A voiceover finds Mike (Jeremy Renner) in a cemetery reminiscing about his deceased brother, Mitch, calling him the anchor he clung to while he was incarcerated. Mitch believed 5% of people are good and 5% are truly evil. The remaining population wrestles between the two. The question for Mitch was, which side would younger brother Mike come down on?

A somber crowd has gathered to pay their respects to Mariam as she’s laid to rest. Mariam was one of the good ones, and Mike firmly believes there must be retribution. The scales measuring good and evil must be balanced.

Mike’s still lost deep in thought when a bomb explodes in a trashcan, flames engulfing the hearse that brought Mariam’s body to the cemetery. It’s obvious the bomb was placed near the cars in a way to do the most damage. Ian (Hugh Dillon) confirms it was homemade and activated from a remote location. (It wasn’t on a timer.) Ian’s enraged and wants to go after everyone, but Mike doesn’t believe that’s the answer. They already took the war to the streets, and yet they’re still being attacked.

Mike thinks they need to be both smart and surgical. Ian disagrees, but Mike wins out. Mike asks for one hour to place a bullseye on the right target. They need to be strategic in their response.

Mike’s first stop is at Bunny’s. Bunny (Tobi Bamtefa) sent flowers to the funeral and calls the explosion disrespectful. He would never mess with someone’s family, but it’s obvious that whoever orchestrated the explosion wants to shift the blame onto Bunny and the Crips. Mike confirms that there is a target on Bunny, especially after someone attacked Robert. But Bunny swears none of this happened under his orders.

They both agree it doesn’t matter who the target moves to, but it needs to be someone important.

Mike meets with Ian, Kyle (Taylor Handley), and Stevie (Derek Webster) and informs them that Bunny’s giving back the guns the Crips stole in a heist. Ian responds with a middle-finger gesture. It’s not enough. Robert, who looks like he should still be hooked up to machines in the hospital, makes a surprise appearance and immediately asks who they’re going after for payback.

Mike reminds them that Bunny tipped him off that Robert’s number was up. And the Crips weren’t responsible for the funeral attack. Mike doesn’t think the Mexicali are behind this; it’s got to be the Aryans. Mike ordered Gunner taken out inside but, unfortunately, he survived being stabbed 20+ times. Now the Aryan Brotherhood is out for revenge.

Mike declares war on the Brotherhood, despite Ian’s warning that the target will be placed on his back in response. Mike replies, “When is it not?”

Next, Mike pulls up in the Brotherhood’s neighborhood and spots a couple of guys outside. He asks for Ian’s brass knuckles and uses them to knock out one guy while hitting and tossing a hood over the other man. Mike puts his gun against the man’s testicles and demands an address. He doesn’t give it up, so Mike shoots him in the foot.

Stevie and Ian react to the gunshot, but Mike’s already got the info he needs.

Now, 14 minutes in, we’re introduced to the new Russian bad guy, Konstantin (Yorick van Wageningen). He greets Tatiana (Gratiela Brancusi) at the club and asks about business, and she admits the police took some of Milo’s people away. The others who were loyal to Milo fled.

Konstantin believes Milo never saw the big picture.

Meanwhile, Mike calls Captain Kareem Moore (Michael Beach) but Kareem refuses to answer. Instead, he greets the new prison guards and explains that Michigan legally sets the guard-to-inmate ratio at one to 14. But at Anchor Bay, it’s one to 27.

Mike texts Carney (Lane Garrison) and orders him to put his phone in Kareem’s face. Carney doesn’t because Kareem’s too busy.

Frustrated, Mike heads into his office and is shocked Rebecca’s closed it for the day. He takes down the “Closed due to a death in the family” notice on the door and wants the office open. Mike apologizes for being gruff, but says it’s been a “f**k of a day.” Rebecca (Nichole Galicia) suggests he takes time off at the cabin, but Mike brings up bears. (Since season one, bears are a running concern when he discusses the cabin.)

Bunny calls with news that he’s going to send Mike the location of the weapons drop. Mike asks Bunny to reach out to Raphael and give him a heads up that the Aryans are going to go after him because of KPD going after the Brotherhood.

The address the guy Mike shot provided turns out to be legitimate, but Ian says it’s a white trash fortress. Robert wants to be part of the attack on the Aryans that night, even though he should be resting.

Kyle’s wife, Tracy (Nishi Munshi), and Iris (Emma Laird) pack up Mariam’s things to be donated. They discuss Mariam’s kindness but Tracy – who’s just days away from giving birth – points out that if you got on her bad side, she could be a beast. Mike and Kyle eventually join Tracy and Iris while they’re taking take a brief break to eat food brought to the house by friends.

Mike pulls Kyle outside and reminds him he doesn’t need to be part of the attack planned for that evening. Kyle insists he needs to be there and that his head is on right. Mike’s voice catches as he confesses that he’s angry all the time. He asks his brother not to be a hero and to let SWAT do the hard work tonight. It’s clear that Mike can’t handle losing another brother. Kyle promises to stay on the sidelines.

Night falls and heavy metal music fills the air around the Aryan Brotherhood’s headquarters. Robert, Ian, Kyle, and Stevie oversee from the surveillance van, and Robert tells his SWAT guys that there are at least three guards on the perimeter. He orders SWAT to take them out quietly. “Go in soft and easy. Slow and smooth,” says Robert.

Locks are cut, and the team silently approaches the house. But then someone steps outside, and the gunfight begins. Robert calls it a “clusterf**k” as the scene deteriorates into chaos. He can’t resist joining the fight and gears up. It appears the intel wasn’t complete, and there are many more ABs inside than expected.

Robert stops a fair distance from the house and fires a grenade launcher. The house goes up in flames.

Morning arrives and dozens of first responders are on the scene. There appear to be half a dozen dead bodies lined up outside the house. The coroner is snapping photos of the charred remains as Mike walks up muttering, “Jesus Christ.”

Ian informs him they were well-armed and weren’t going to be taken in. Robert explains his team was pinned down, and he chose to save them over saving the Brotherhood.

The action shifts to Millhaven Correction Facility and Merle Callahan (Richard Brake) being informed of the deaths of the AB. He doesn’t take the news well.

Mike yells at Carney over the phone, demanding he get Kareem to answer his phone. Carney insists Kareem’s being stubborn, and Mike fills him in on what just went down. There are going to be repercussions inside, and Kareem needs to be prepared.

Iris is busy stealing Mariam’s meds when Tracy calls out for help. Her water broke.

Asst. District Attorney Evelyn Foley and Mike meet, and Mike admits Robert let things get out of hand. Evelyn (Necar Zadegan) isn’t surprised. “Even half-dead the guy manages to sow chaos,” says Evelyn. Kingstown needs a clean-up and she’s the janitor. She’ll go after anyone, including Mike, and swears she’ll take down dirty cops. In fact, she let her security detail go since she’s made it clear no one is off-limits. Mike is incredibly worried and reminds her of what happened to Lockett. He promises to personally vet her security team.

An inmate named Dedrick is stabbed in the yard by an AB, and a new guard rushes to his side. It’s no use, Dedrick bleeds out.

Carney calls Mike and says it’s starting, and Mike claims that it’s a “weak kill” since Dedrick isn’t a power player. Raphael is, and he’s in general population, yet they didn’t move on him. It’s the lame going after the lame, says Mike.

Kyle returns home, panicking that he can’t find his go-bag. Tracy’s at the hospital, and Mike and Iris promise to search for the bag. While Iris searches, Mike and Kyle have a quick chat about Iris. Kyle wonders why she’s still around, and Mike admits he doesn’t know what the future holds. The brothers laugh over the idea of Mariam adopting Iris…which is something she probably would have done.

Mike takes off and tells Iris to go to the hospital without him.

Season 3 Episode 1 Tatiana and Konstantin
Graciela Brancusi as Tatiana and Yorick van Wageningen as Konstantin in ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ season 3 episode 1 (Photo Credit: Dennis P. Mong Jr./Paramount+)

Over at the club, Konstantin and Tatiana get into it. Konstantin wonders about her loyalty and whether she’s still on Milo’s side. She runs off crying when Konstantin demands to know whose call she’s been waiting for. She doesn’t get far before she’s shot in the back.

Konstantin picks up her uninjured baby.

Mike and Bunny discuss the current state inside, and Bunny’s sure the AB is too afraid to go after Raphael. They’re also afraid to go after him. They chuckle when Bunny calls himself a formidable f**king monster. They toast to this moment of peace, and Mike admits he was shocked by Bunny’s decision to drop off the stolen guns in a lily-white neighborhood.

Bunny confesses that Mike got him incredibly angry during his recent stint in jail. However, on the upside, now Bunny has ambitions he didn’t have before getting locked up. Bunny’s ambitions have expanded beyond Kingstown, and Mike warns him not to get too greedy.

Their conversation is interrupted by the news that Tracy just gave birth. Bunny calls Mike ‘Uncle Mayor’ and congratulates him as Mike heads out. Bunny accepts a phone call, and it turns out the new guard who helped Dedrick is Bunny’s new inside connection.

Later, Mike works on patching up the bullet holes in his mom’s house. Iris keeps him company, and Mike tells her she can stay as long as she wants, or she can leave. It will be her choice.

Season three episode one ends with Merle being moved to what looks like Anchor Bay Prison.

‘Hacks’ Star Hannah Einbinder Debuts Comedy Special Trailer

The first trailer for Max’s Hannah Einbinder: Everything Must Go has the Hacks star describing herself as ruined after smoking too much pot during her formative years. And…that’s the whole tease. Apparently, they’re saving the good stuff for the actual comedy special.

“Actress, comedian, and star of the Emmy-winning Max Original comedy series Hacks, Hannah Einbinder takes the stage at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles for her first stand-up special. Holding a rapt audience in the palm of her hand, Einbinder debuts a variety of characters including the sun, moon, and earth, and shares hilariously, formative stories from throughout her life including the lengths her parents went to for a son (only to have her instead), her failed attempts at meditation, and the divine intervention experienced at her grandmother’s funeral,” reads Max’s synopsis. “The comedian also gets candid about being queer, her faith, climate change, and her stoner roots in this unpredictable and highly funny debut comedy hour.”

The special was written and executive produced by Einbinder, with Sandy Honig directing and executive producing. Additional executive producers include Dave Kneebone, Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim, Janel Kranking, Ethan Stern, and David Miner.

Hannah Einbinder: Everything Must Go premieres on June 13, 2024.

‘Pretty Little Liars: Summer School’ Episode 5 Recap – “Friday the 13th”

Pretty Little Liars: Summer School Episode 5 Recap
Bloody Rose in ‘Pretty Little Liars: Summer School’ episode 5 (Photograph by Karolina Wojtasik/Max)

With just four episodes left in Max’s Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, episode five didn’t move us much closer to finding out the true identity of Bloody Rose. We learned in episode four that whoever the creepy murderer is, it’s not the real Rose Waters. The girls, minus Faran, visited the real Rose who promptly reacted by jumping off a bridge.

Episode five, “Friday the 13th,” starts off with a chaotic scene of people in Bloody Rose’s cabin who seem to be worshiping her. Cut to the girls frantically trying to take care of Faran’s gash that she received while fighting for her life with Bloody Rose. Instead of taking her to the hospital, Faran (Zaria) has the girls stitch her up while describing her encounter. The girls then describe their own encounter with the real Rose Waters.

If they had an actual suspect board, they think Dr. Sullivan would be on it. She was Rose’s therapist and Noa (Maia Reficco) believes she’s suspicious. Imogen (Bailee Madison) isn’t so sure. Everyone except Imogen agrees to take a break from Dr. Sullivan. Either Imogen’s still #TeamSullivan or she just wants another session to learn the truth.

Jen (Ava Capri) checks in on Noa, and Noa confesses she and her friends are going through some heavy stuff right now. The serious discussion leads to kissing.

Imogen and Tabby (Chandler Kinney) finally get a chance to catch up, and both reveal that they kissed the boys they like. They briefly set aside the fact they are being harassed by a psycho, again, and act like normal teens, talking about a feature double date.

Thursday the 12th

Shawn (Alex Aiono) shows up at Noa’s place and she jumps out of bed in a panic. She absolutely doesn’t want Shawn to know she was in bed with Jen.

Noa and Shawn go out for a run, and it seems like she’s going to confess what’s going on with her and Jen. Instead, she apologizes for them not spending much time together, blaming it on her work, being in summer school, and living with Jen. Shawn assures her she has nothing to apologize for.

Tabby and Imogen ask Tabby’s mom, Sidney, how Dr. Sullivan came to be recommended to them. Sidney says the referral came from Deputy Maroon. She suggests that no one has more experience with teenage trauma than Dr. Sullivan.

During a study session, Tabby wonders how they are supposed to study geometry while there’s someone trying to kill them. Faran receives a call from Henry and ignores it. Of course, the girls demand to know what is going on. Faran admits she’s still upset he’s been talking about their relationship during Kelly’s creepy church group sessions. Maybe they have outgrown each other.

Imogen shows up for her scheduled appointment with Dr. Sullivan (Annabeth Gish) and asks why she was recommended to them by Deputy Maroon. Sullivan claims she has helped the police department over the years, and then asks why the other girls haven’t shown up for their group session. Imogen fills her in on how they had a crazy night, and that they found the real Rose Waters. Sullivan is shocked and asks if they went looking for Rose. Imogen has questions of her own, like where was the good doctor the previous night. Dr. Sullivan insists she was at home, Zooming with patients.

Elsewhere, Greg (Elias Kacavas) tries to offer Faran a hand at the pool and she declines. He doesn’t understand why she feels like she needs to prove something and that leads to the two arm-wrestling. Somehow, Faran wins but now her arm wound is bleeding.

Tabby and Christian (Noah Alexander Gerry) discuss their favorite Friday the 13th films as they get ready for the annual Friday the 13th marathon. Their boss, Wes (Derek Klena), finds a fake hand in the popcorn machine and wants to know why it’s there. Tabby comes clean and explains that she shot her new short there. She asks if Wes’ professor friend on the committee might be able to put in a good word for her, and Wes becomes angry. Wes can’t believe she shot a film without asking his permission, given that it would have been bad if someone got injured in the theater.

When Wes leaves, Christian admits he doesn’t trust Wes. He thinks Wes has darkness in him.

Shawn’s mom shows up at Noa’s work upset that her son gave her $2,000 to help Jen. She demands Noa pay her son back. Jen believes that Noa should break up with Shawn and be done with his family. Noa won’t do that, and Jen wonders what last night was then.

Jen promises Noa she’ll get money to repay Shawn.

Johnny (Antonio Cipriano) wonders if Imogen is doing okay and if she is good after they kissed. She insists she is, just as her dad shows up. He wants to stay in touch more and confesses that he’s engaged to a woman named Rebecca now.

Faran tells Henry (Ben Cook) she’s not happy he’s telling a church group about their private business. Henry reacts by telling her she needs to attend a group session there. It appears Henry’s in deep with the church now.

Wes returns to the theater in a pissy mood and tells Tabby he thinks PIFT only asked her to submit a short because they are getting dragged on social media for their lack of diversity. Tabby loses it and insists she got the call because she’s good. She insults her boss by taking a dig at him for being 30 and still working at the theater. Tabby challenges Wes to a short-off. They will both post their shorts without credits and let the masses vote. Wes doesn’t bite.

Noa tells Shawn about his mom demanding the money back. Shawn is incredulous and says he’ll handle it.

Mouse (Malia Pyles) finds her grandmother, Lola, watching a video on Spooky Spaghetti. On the screen are 12 people and a woman’s voice saying, “The reckoning is coming soon. In honor of Friday the 13th, she has delivered us a message. We must prove our devotion to her or risk her wrath on the night of Blood Atonement.”

The 12 people slice their foreheads with knives, and so does Lola who appears to be in a trance.

Imogen and Tabby exchange CliffsNotes versions of their day, and Imogen now believes Dr. Sullivan is hiding something. Tabby worries she’s using everything they’ve told her about Bloody Rose against them. Imogen jokingly suggests they should break into the doctor’s office and go through her things. Judging by the sly smiles on their faces, the suggestion is most definitely happening.

A short time later, Imogen and Tabby go through files at Dr. Sullivan’s office. Imogen finds hers, and Dr. Sullivan wrote that she is teetering on a psychotic break. The girls discover transcripts of all their sessions. They’re shocked and take all the files, noting it’s illegal to record people without their consent.

Faran attends the church’s group session with Henry and Pastor Malachi encourages them all to be truthful. Kelly admits she was cruel to Faran because she was jealous of her talent. Greg also confesses he has been giving Faran a hard time all summer to make her feel weak and less than. He admits he respects her. Henry apologizes to Faran as well.

Friday the 13th

The girls confront Dr. Sullivan and she claims she’s working on a book. Faran threatens to sue her, and Imogen is hurt because she thought Dr. Sullivan cared about her.

Mouse tells the girls about the freaky video of the reckoning and how people are hurting themselves for Bloody Rose. Even her grandma cut her forehead.

Over the theater, the AC isn’t working and Wes hasn’t shown up for work. Tabby suggests they move the marathon to the old camp she used to go to as a child.

Shawn thinks he can solve the issue with his mom if he moves out of the house. He asks Noa if he can stay with her and says he’ll always choose her over everyone else – including his mom.

Faran and Greg talk about the group sessions and she’s curious if they are always like that. Greg doesn’t know because he’s not a part of the inner circle. Apparently, Henry already is.

Imogen brings Johnny with her to meet her dad’s fiancé. They’re having a nice lunch when Imogen notices Rebecca is wearing her mom’s ring. Imogen wants the ring back, and Rebecca reminds her that it didn’t belong to her mother. (It’s from Imogen’s father’s family.) Imogen freaks out, demanding that Rebecca hand it over or else she will cut it off her finger. When she grabs a knife, Imogen’s dad orders her to leave. Imogen calls her dad a coward for not showing up at her mom’s funeral. She tells him to never come looking for her again. He’s no longer a part of her life.

Faran returns to the church to figure out what is going on. She sees Henry, Kelly, and others on their knees, with arms in the air and speaking in tongues. She’s spotted and takes off running. Henry catches up to her and admits she wasn’t supposed to see that. Faran questions if he wants to be with her, or if he and Kelly are trying to get her to join. He insists it’s not that. Faran asks him to walk away from that place and when he doesn’t answer, she breaks up with him for good.

Imogen is convinced Johnny thinks she’s nuts. But on the contrary, he understands she took a chance on her dad, and he let her down.

Noa returns home and Jen hands over the $2,000 to repay Shawn. Noa spots roses and a note on her coffee table. Jen assumed they were from Shawn and didn’t open the letter. Noa does and it reads: “You’ve been walking the forbidden path. Go there now alone, or one of your beloveds dies.”

The color drains from Noa’s face and she orders Jen to leave. Jen can’t believe what’s happening and Noa says she’s picking Shawn. She loves Shawn, not Jen. Jen doesn’t believe her and doesn’t pick up on the fact Noa is doing this to protect her.

Episode five ends with Camp Millwood hopping with horror movie fans while Noa heads to the location mentioned in the note. She discovers another note ordering her to remove her shoes and start walking. There are rose petals everywhere. There are also thorn-covered stems on the ground and Noa doesn’t want to keep going. Bloody Rose appears behind her with a dog. She releases the dog and Noa takes off running through the thorns.

Over at the horrorfest, Faran tells her friends she broke up with Henry. They finally realize Noa isn’t there with them. And that’s because she’s running through the forest, a dog hot on her heels. Suddenly, Jen drives up and saves her.
