‘Still Up’ Trailer: Not Sleeping Together is Complicated

Two insomniacs develop a strange late-night relationship in Apple TV+’s Still Up, a new comedy starring Antonia Thomas (The Good Doctor) and Craig Roberts (Red Oaks). The first trailer introduces Danny (Roberts) and Lisa (Thomas) and sets up the weird after-hours world they’ve learned to adapt to after everyone else they know has gone to sleep.

Season one also features Blake Harrison (Kate & Koji), Lois Chimimba (The Outlaws), Luke Fetherston (Almost Never), and Rich Fulcher (Tig N’ Seek).

Steve Burge and Natalie Walter co-created the comedy and serve as writers, along with Bryce Hart. John Addis, a BAFTA Film Award Best British Short Film nominee for Lucky Break, directed the series. BAFTA Award winner Paul Schlesinger and Emmy Award winner Phil Clarke executive produce, and Arabella McGuigan is involved as a producer.

Apple TV+ offers this description of the comedy:

Still Up is an almost romantic comedy set in the after-hours world of insomniacs Danny (Roberts) and Lisa (Thomas) who have no secrets except their feelings for each other.”

The first three episodes will premiere on September 22, 2023, with new episodes of the eight-episode season releasing on Fridays.

‘And Just Like That…’ is Renewed for Season 3

Max officially renewed And Just Like That… ahead of its much-anticipated season two finale which will feature the return of Kim Cattrall as Samantha. Season two episode 11 – part two of “The Last Supper” – finally delivers the cameo fans of the original foursome have eagerly anticipated.

Even though Samatha won’t be sharing scenes with her former Sex and the City co-stars, Cattrall will be seen in a cameo, styled by Patricia Field and shot in secret. In an interview on Today with Hoda and Jenna, Kim Cattrall confirmed that shopping in Bergdorf’s and picking out a great outfit for her cameo felt like dipping her toe back in time and having a wonderful afternoon.

However, fans shouldn’t expect Kim Cattrall back for the just-announced third season. It seems this short cameo is a one-off and not a precursor to an extended return as Samantha.

Commenting on the third season order, series creator and executive producer Michael Patrick King said, “We are thrilled to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors. And Just Like That… here comes season three.”

And Just Like That… stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis as Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbs, and Charlotte York, respectively. Sara Ramírez plays Che Diaz, Sarita Choudhury is Seema Patel, Nicole Ari Parker is Lisa Todd Wexley, and Karen Pittman is Dr. Nya Wallace. Mario Cantone stars as Anthony Marentino, David Eigenberg plays Steve Brady, and Evan Handler is Harry Goldenblatt.

Season two also features Christopher Jackson as Herbert Wexley, Niall Cunningham as Brady Hobbes, Cathy Ang as Lily Goldenblatt, Alexa Swinton as Rose Goldenblatt, and John Corbett as Aidan Shaw.

“We are delighted to share that since the launch of season two, And Just Like That… ranks as the #1 Max Original overall, and is the most-watched returning Max Original to date. As we approach the highly anticipated season finale on Thursday, we raise our cosmos to Michael Patrick King and his magnificent team of writers, producers, cast and crew who continue to charm us, 25 years later, with dynamic friendships and engaging stories,” said Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content. “We cannot wait for audiences to see where season three will take our favorite New Yorkers.”

Season two premiered on June 22, 2023 and will finish up on August 24th. Max did not announce a targeted premiere date for season three.

‘It Lives Inside’ Trailer #2 Delivers the Chills

Neon’s second trailer for It Lives Inside is incredibly creepy without being too spoiler-ish. Written and directed by Bishal Dutta, the PG-13 horror film is a unique twist on a demonic possession story.

It Lives Inside emerged as an image: a kid on a bike, riding through Rockwellian suburbs. It’s right out of an early Amblin film. But what if this kid was escaping a puja, her school outfit wrapped in an ornate dupatta? For me, that image spoke to the duality I felt growing up as a first-generation immigrant in America. ‘Where do I belong? Which country is my home? Which world is ultimately mine?'” explained Dutta.

The cast includes Megan Suri, Neeru Bajwa, Mohana Krishnan, Vik Sahay, Gage Marsh, Beatrice Kitsos, and Betty Gabriel.

Get Out‘s Raymond Mansfield and Sean McKittrick served as producers. Edward H. Hamm Jr, Jameson Parker, Arielle Boisvert, and Shawn Williamson executive produce. Dutta’s behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Matthew Lynn, production designer Tyler Harron, editor Jack Price, and costume designer Odessa Bennett.

It Lives Inside is set to open in theaters on September 22, 2023.

Sam is desperate to fit in at school, rejecting her Indian culture and family to be like everyone else. When a mythological demonic spirit latches onto her former best friend, she must come to terms with her heritage in order to defeat it.

‘Rebel Moon’ Teaser Trailer Unveils the World of Zack Snyder’s New Scifi Thriller

Most teaser trailer’s are just that, teasers. But Zack Snyder’s first teaser trailer for his two-part epic scifi tale, Rebel Moon, is nearly four minutes long and reveals much about the world Snyder’s created in his latest massive endeavor.

The teaser trailer’s release was accompanied by the announcement of the titles of parts one and two, as well as a confirmed premiere date for part two.

Part one is officially Child of Fire and part two is The Scargiver. The first part arrives on December 22, 2023 and part two follows on April 19, 2024.

The cast includes Sofia Boutella as Kora, an Imperium deserter who leaves the peaceful Veldt to fight back; Ed Skrein as Admiral Atticus Noble, a nefarious Imperium enforcer; Charlie Hunnam as Kai, a mercenary pilot whose Tawau-Class freighter will prove invaluable to Kora’s quest; Michiel Huisman as Gunnar, a Veldt farmer who knows little of the galaxy outside of his small, quiet corner of the galaxy; and Djimon Hounsou as General Titus, a hardened gladiator who once served the Imperium.

Staz Nair is Tarak, a noble indentured servant who shares a bond with a flying creature called a Bennu; Donna Bae plays Nemesis, a cyborg sword master whose mechanical hands allow her to wield molten-metal weapons; Ray Fisher is Darrian Bloodaxe, an insurgent who has been harrying the Imperium with guerilla attacks; and E. Duffy as Milius, a refugee who seeks justice for their home — a colony that has already fallen to the Mother World.

Additionally, Fra Fee is Regent Balisarius, the mighty Imperium official — and Noble’s superior — who presides over Veldt’s corner of the universe; Jena Malone is a mysterious and deadly spider-being; and Anthony Hopkins voices Jimmy, an ancient robot knight that once defended a slain king but has now faded into a more peaceful existence.

The ensemble also includes Cleopatra Coleman, Stuart Martin, Ingvar Eggert Sigurðsson, Alfonso Herrera, Cary Elwes, Rhian Rees, Sky Yang, Charlotte Maggi, and Corey Stoll.

Zack Snyder directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Kurt Johnstad and Shay Hatten. Eric Newman, Wesley Coller, and Zack and Deborah Snyder serve as producers. Bergen Swanson, Sarah Bowen, Shay Hatten, and Kurt Johnstad executive produce.

The Plot, Courtesy of Netflix:

From Zack Snyder, the filmmaker behind 300, Man of Steel, and Army of the Dead, comes Rebel Moon, an epic science-fantasy event decades in the making. When a peaceful colony on the edge of a galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of a tyrannical ruling force, Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious stranger living among the villagers, becomes their best hope for survival.

Tasked with finding trained fighters who will unite with her in making an impossible stand against the Mother World, Kora assembles a small band of warriors — outsiders, insurgents, peasants, and orphans of war from different worlds who share a common need for redemption and revenge. As the shadow of an entire Realm bears down on the unlikeliest of moons, a battle over the fate of a galaxy is waged, and in the process, a new army of heroes is formed.

‘American Horror Story: Delicate’ Teaser is Not Safe for Arachnophobes

“Nesting,” the first teaser trailer for the Kim Kardashian season of FX’s American Horror Story: Delicate, is full of spiders and spider-inspired images. And keeping with the AHS tradition, the teaser gives away nothing of the plot.

In addition to Kim Kardashian, season 12 of AHS stars Emma Roberts and Cara Delevingne. Halley Feiffer serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Series creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Alexis Martin Woodall, Scott Robertson, and John J. Gray also executive produce.

FX offered this short description of the spider-centric season:

“In American Horror Story: Delicate, after multiple failed attempts of IVF, actress Anna Victoria Alcott wants nothing more than to start a family. As the buzz around her recent film grows, she fears that something may be targeting her – and her pursuit of motherhood.”

AHS: Delicate will premiere on September 20, 2023 and is divided into two parts, with the first five episodes of part one airing on Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT. Part two will follow in 2024.

Tennis pro Joey Graziadei has been tapped to star in season 28 of ABC’s The Bachelor. Season 28? How strange is it to think the popular reality dating series has been around for 28 seasons?

Joey Graziadei built up a huge fan following, but was denied a love connection on Charity Lawson’s just-wrapped season of The Bachelorette. Fortunately, Graziadei will get a second shot at love when his season of The Bachelor arrives sometime in 2024.

ABC offered this brief description of what Joey Graziadei hopes for as the star of The Bachelor season 28:

“Joey Graziadei is a 28-year-old teaching tennis pro from Collegeville, Pennsylvania, who stole hearts all over America on season 20 of The Bachelorette with his loyalty, thoughtfulness, and compassion. Before his emotional exit, audiences saw Graziadei open up about his family values and how those closest to him have influenced his desire to find lasting love.

As the Bachelor, Graziadei is looking for a life partner who is outgoing, caring, and shares his love for adventure and exploring the outdoors. He loves hiking, surfing and ending his days watching the sunset but knows he has much more love to give, and the only thing missing is someone with whom to share his life.”
