AMC Networks’ The Walking Dead spinoff Fear the Walking Dead will air the series’ final episodes in November 2023. The zombie apocalypse action-horror series will wrap up its eight-season run with a two-part finale on November 18th.

Matthew Perry, best known as Chandler Bing to generations of Friends fans, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Perry was just 54 years old when he was found unresponsive at his home. Following his death, tributes poured in on social media from friends and fans across the globe.
On Monday, October 30th, his fellow Friends stars – Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer – released a statement on the death of their dear friend:
“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss,” wrote the cast in a statement released to People. “In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
To celebrate the joy Matthew Perry brought millions of fans, TBS has planned a special Friends marathon featuring memorable episodes that spotlight Perry’s character. The documentary JFK: What the Doctors Saw offers a behind the scenes look at the day President John F. Kennedy was shot as his motorcade was traveling through Dealey Plaza in downtown Dallas, Texas. The documentary will premiere on Paramount+ on November 14, 2023, just days ahead of the 60th anniversary of JFK’s assassination.

The Captain Nemo origin series Nautilus has found a new home at AMC Networks after being canceled by Disney. The series, inspired by Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, was originally set to stream on Disney+ but now will air on AMC and AMC+ in 2024. (Update: It’s now targeting a 2025 launch.)
The 10-episode live-action series stars Shazad Latif, Georgia Flood, Thierry Fremont, and Céline Menville. Richard E Grant, Anna Torv, and Noah Taylor guest star.
“Nautilus is a big, sweeping drama that is sure to appeal to fans of our Anne Rice Immortal Universe and other buzzy and fan-forward series like Orphan Black: Echoes,” stated Ben Davis, executive vice president of original programming for AMC Networks and AMC Studios. “We are looking forward to bringing it to AMC+ and AMC as a special television event next year.”
Moonriver TV’s Xavier Marchand and Seven Stories’ Anand Tucker developed the series and serve as producers. The series is written by James Dormer, and Michael Matthews is the lead director. Dormer, Johanna Devereaux, Chris Loveall, Colleen Woodcock, and Daisy Gilbert executive produce.
“I am hugely excited that the efforts of everyone involved in the making of the show will be seen on such a prestigious network,” said Dormer.
“We are so thrilled to present the epic adventures of Captain Nemo and his legendary submarine, The Nautilus, alongside the other incredible AMC universes,” stated Xavier Marchand and Anand Tucker. “The series will take viewers on a breathtaking journey with Nemo and his crew, battling terrifying creatures and the dark forces of the British Empire.”
AMC Networks describes Nautilus as the origin story of the iconic Captain Nemo: an Indian Prince robbed of his birthright and family, a prisoner of the East India Mercantile Company, and a man bent on revenge against the forces that have taken everything from him.
Maika Monroe will reprise her role as Jay Height in the It Follows sequel, They Follow. It Follows‘ David Robert Mitchell returns as writer and director.
It Follows was a true sleeper hit, grossing $21 million worldwide during its 2015 theatrical run. Made for just $1.3 million, the R-rated horror/thriller currently sits at 95% fresh (with 272 reviews) on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics praised its impressive storytelling and called it a hidden gem and a real must-see.
They Follow is expected to begin principal photography in 2024. Writer/director Mitchell will produce along with It Follows producers David Kaplan, Erik Rommesmo, Rebecca Green, Laura Smith, and Good Fear Content’s Jake Weiner and Chris Bender.
Neon will be introducing the sequel to buyers at AFM this week.
Maika Monroe’s credits include Greta, Hot Summer Nights, Villains, Honey Boy, Significant Other, and Watcher. Monroe recently finished work on Longlegs, directed by Oz Perkins and co-starring Nicolas Cage.
Filmmaker David Robert Mitchell’s filmography includes 2010’s The Myth of the American Sleepover and 2018’s Under the Silver Lake with Andrew Garfield and Riley Keough. Mitchell’s in development on a film with Anne Hathaway set up at Warner Bros. and Bad Robot.
The It Follows Plot:

New Kids on the Block announced a 2024 reimagining of their “The Magic Summer” from 1990, with Donnie, Joey, Jordan, Jonathan & Danny set to hit the road for a 40-city tour next summer. The NKONB tour, produced by Live Nation, will feature special guests Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff.
The 2024 tour will kick off on June 14, 2024 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and will stop in cities including Cincinnati, Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Dallas, and Toronto, before wrapping up in Noblesville, Indiana on August 25.
The original “The Magic Summer” sold-out tour found the boy band performing in huge venues, including Dodgers Stadium, Giants Stadium, and Foxboro Stadium, at the height of the band’s popularity. 3+ million fans cheered on NKOTB during the 1990 tour in support of their number-one album.

Netflix’s trailer for Oscar-winning director Roger Ross Williams’ Stamped From the Beginning features clips of female scholars discussing the connection between the United States’ history of racism and the history of power. The documentary based on Dr. Ibram X. Kendi’s bestselling book will premiere on November 10, 2023 in select theaters, followed by a release on the streaming service on November 20.
“When we started looking at historians and scholars, we came up with a long list. I noticed the pattern that most of the people doing the work around racism in America were Black women,” stated director Williams (Cassandro, The Super Models) in an interview on Netflix’s Tudum. “I asked them in pre-interviews, ‘Why do you do this work?’ And many of them said the same thing — that they had no choice. This was their experience and their life. And if they’re going to dedicate their life to something, it’s going to be about changing and understanding racism in America because they can’t escape racism in America. I said to everyone, ‘We’re going to have only Black women in this film.’ It was an important statement to make.”
Williams added: “This is about power and the few clinging to power and using it at the expense of Black Americans. This isn’t just a film for Black Americans. This is a film for all Americans, for the whole world. And hopefully it brings people together and leads people on a path of antiracism and healing.”

“After a fateful near-miss, an assassin battles his employers, and himself, on an international manhunt he insists isn’t personal,” reads Netflix’s synopsis.
In addition to two-time Oscar nominee Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs, 12 Years a Slave), the R-rated thriller stars Charles Parnell (Barry), Arliss Howard (Manhunt), Sophie Charlotte (Todas as Flores), and Oscar winner Tilda Swinton (Michael Clayton). The film’s based on writer Alexis Nolent (aka Matz) and illustrator Luc Jacamon’s graphic novel series, and was adapted by Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en, 8MM).
Three-time Oscar nominee David Fincher (Mank, The Social Network, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) directed and Ceán Chaffin served as producer.
The Killer opened in theaters on October 27, 2023 and will be released on Netflix on November 10.
