HBO Max chose not to renew the reality dating series FBoy Island after two seasons. However, the show’s been rescued by The CW and will return for season three this fall.
“It was a huge success; season 2 more than season 1. And we can’t wait to make another, but we have no word yet,” stated Glaser. “But I’m really confident that there will be more. I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life when it comes to a show being picked up again. And I’ve had many of my TV shows canceled and not return, but I have no worries that this one will either be back on HBO or find a place somewhere else, because the demand is there for it.”
The CW’s surprise announcement of the return of FBoy Island included an additional shocking announcement: they’ve greenlit a spinoff. FGirl Island, which will also be hosted by Nikki Glaser, will begin production this summer along with the series that spawned it. FGirl Island is expected to air midseason.
“With its innovative and modern twist on the reality dating genre, incredibly talented host Nikki Glaser, and truly unforgettable title, FBoy Island on The CW is a perfect match,” stated Heather Olander, Head of Unscripted Programming, The CW Network. “Along with our partners at STXtelevision, we look forward to growing the franchise on The CW with the gender-flipping spinoff FGirl Island and cannot wait to introduce the next generation of FBoys and FGirls to existing fans as well as a new broadcast audience.”
Elan Gale created FBoy Island and is executive producing along with host Nikki Glaser, Jason Goldberg for STXtelevision, Noah Fogelson, and Bob Simonds.
Commenting on The CW’s rescue of the series, Glaser said, “I’m so damn excited that my favorite reality TV show is coming back. […]It’s icing on the cake that I get to host it again. I hope I forget everything that happens while I make the show so that I can relive it all when it airs. I couldn’t be prouder to have my name on such a hilarious, captivating, and ridiculous show.”

“FBoy Island follows three women who move to a tropical paradise where they’re joined by 26 men – 13 self-proclaimed ‘Nice Guys’ looking for love, and 13 self-proclaimed “Fboys,” there to compete for cold, hard cash. The women will navigate the dating pool together with the hope of finding a lasting love connection.
By the finale, all will be revealed: who is a Nice Guy, who is an FBoy, who the women ultimately choose, and who walks away with the prize money.
FBoy Island is a social experiment that asks: Can FBoys truly reform or do Nice Guys always finish last? FGirl Island switches genders, with three men trying to identify 24 women as either womanizers (‘FGirls’) or seeking a serious relationship (‘Nice Girls’).”
Take a trip 66 million years into the past with season two of Apple TV+’s Prehistoric Planet. The second season’s official trailer for the groundbreaking natural history event series introduces new dinosaurs and five new habitats, with Sir David Attenborough guiding the journey as narrator.
Apple TV+’s Prehistoric Planet 2 will air over five nights, beginning on May 22, 2023.
Jon Favreau, Mike Gunton, and BBC Studios Natural History Unit (Planet Earth) serve as executive producers. Bleeding Fingers Music’s Hans Zimmer and Andrew Christie wrote the theme, and Zimmer, Anže Rozman, and Kara Talve composed the score.
The new season will be accompanied by the companion podcast “Prehistoric Planet: The Official Podcast.” Debuting May 8th, the podcast will feature executive producers Gunton and Favreau, along with expert paleontologists and animators, discussing the technology involved in bringing the dinosaurs to life.

Exploring five new habitats, audiences can expect to be transported to the active volcanoes of India, the marshlands of Madagascar, the deep oceans near North America, and so much more. Throughout this season, the series and its creators take you up close into dinosaurs’ habitats to experience the dangers, the adventures, and even the camaraderie between species unlike we’ve seen before.
As revealed in the trailer, Prehistoric Planet brings exciting scientific discoveries in season two that unearth dinosaur behavior and introduce never-before-seen apex predators. New studies show that giant herbivore dinosaurs, like Tarchia, were formidable fighters – their armored skin defended against predators, as well as among themselves for mating rights. While the T. Rex was known to be the mightiest predator on land, a lesser-known rival for the title of “Prehistoric Planet’s Deadliest” ruled the seas. The giant Mosasaurus was a 55-foot aquatic lizard capable of accelerating through the water at incredible speeds and launching attacks that its prey would never see coming.
Isisaurus is one of many dinosaurs making their screen debut in season two. Fossil records show that they may have nested in huge lava-covered areas, deliberately laying their eggs where volcanic heat warmed the ground. Predators were also found in the air; Quetzalcoatlus was a giraffe-sized flying reptile and the biggest animal ever to fly. These incredible pterosaurs could attack and fly with prey up to 100 lbs, armed with a six-foot, fast-stabbing beak.
Prehistoric Planet season two introduces many dinosaur species new to science and named in recent years from the Cretaceous world while also hinting at other animals that lived alongside dinosaurs, including early members of most groups of animals, like mammals and reptiles, alive today.
The New Featured Dinosaurs:
Isisaurus – An Indian sauropod (long-necked, plant-eating dinosaur) that made its home in an extreme volcanic region known as the Deccan Traps, laying eggs in volcanic heated terrain.
Pectinodon – A fierce hunter and fond parent, this bird-like North American feathered dinosaur was part of the troodontid family. A sharp-clawed, long-legged predator, it was an adaptable hunter, its teeth and jaws suggesting that many sorts of small animals would have been on the menu.
Quetzalcoatlus and Hatzegopteryx – The biggest creatures ever to soar the skies, these gargantuan pterosaurs (prehistoric flying reptiles) were the size of a giraffe or small aircraft and are some of Prehistoric Planet’s most charismatic characters.
The Cretaceous world was not just filled with dinosaurs — other animals lived alongside dinosaurs, including early members of most groups alive today. They include mammals, numerous lizards and snakes, diverse members of the crocodile family, and frogs large and small. Beelzebufo from Madagascar was a giant Cretaceous frog with a powerful bite comparable to that of a modern-day tiger.
ABC’s officially confirmed Station 19 has been renewed. The network shared the good news via social media, tweeting, “More episodes of #Station19 are coming in hot with Season 7.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. centers around the concept of family – not necessarily defined by blood, but rather by choice. As the motley crew embarks on their final journey, it’s clear that family means always standing by each other’s side, no matter what.
James Gunn has expertly guided the three Guardians of the Galaxy films, delivering some of the MCU’s most comical – and downright goofy – moments with this weird and wild trilogy. However, with this final outing of the band of misfits, audiences are treated to a deeply moving and unexpectedly heartbreaking storyline, making it one of the MCU’s most emotionally engaging films to date.
Vol. 3 opens with Peter “Star-Lord” Quill (Chris Pratt) a drunken, sulky mess. He’s not over Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and has pretty much forsaken the role of team leader. With Peter all but useless, the Guardians are stuck biding their time just hanging out in Knowhere.
As such, they’re totally unprepared when Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) crashes through Knowhere’s walls. A genetically engineered “perfect” being with incredible strength, Warlock is fixated on capturing Rocket. Fortunately, he fails. Unfortunately, Rocket is mortally wounded during the chaos.
The attack is enough to finally pull Peter out of his drunken stupor. Rocket’s at death’s door, and the group’s shocked to discover their med packs can’t fix him. The genetically and cybernetically enhanced raccoon has a kill switch implanted and can only be saved by retrieving his original programming.
The quest to save their heroic, wise-cracking furry friend immediately gets underway. The Guardians have a very limited window of opportunity to obtain the programming and heal Rocket against nearly insurmountable odds.
As Groot (Vin Diesel), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), and Peter set out to confront the film’s biggest bad – the High Evolutionary (a terrifying Chukwudi Iwuji) – new heart-wrenching details about Rocket’s origin are revealed. The High Evolutionary is a deranged genetic engineer with a fixation on creating flawless beings for his utopian society. Rocket was just one of many lab animals he experimented on.
A terrified baby Rocket didn’t understand what was happening or why he was in such pain. At his most vulnerable moments, it was three fellow lab animals that provided him with comfort and companionship. Lylla the otter (Linda Cardellini), Teefs the walrus (Asim Chaudhry), Floor the rabbit (Mikaela Hoover), and Rocket spent their days planning for a future free from their confines, as promised by The High Evolutionary. However, a mind-blowing discovery redirected Rocket’s course, leading him to ultimately join forces with the Guardians.
Rocket’s advanced intellectual and reasoning capabilities stood apart from the other hybrid creatures, and the High Evolutionary sent Warlock to retrieve him for further experimentation.
Of course, there are other storylines in this final two-and-a-half-hour finale. But none of those other storylines, including Peter’s reunion with Gamora and his attempt to remind her of the feelings they previously had for one another, hold a candle to the reveal of Rocket’s tragic backstory. Yet as incredibly moving as part three of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy is, there’s still plenty of the humor that helped catapult Star-Lord and his crew from lower-tier Marvel characters to box-office stars. Vol. 3 is also loaded with stunning action sequences backed by a rocking soundtrack.
Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and Zoe Saldana know these characters well, have embraced their strengths and flaws, and collectively deliver their best performances as part of the MCU. Vol. 3 allows Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket to find a new layer to the feisty raccoon, and even Vin Diesel’s voice work for Groot has evolved as much as possible, given that he’s limited to a three-word vocabulary. And Drax’s emergence as the heart of the Guardians, thanks to Dave Bautista‘s terrific performance, feels well-earned. Drax appears to good-naturedly accept the role he’s been assigned of the least intellectually inclined member of the team, yet the pain he feels when those closest to him discount his contributions is there in his eyes.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 may be a bit lengthy, but it’s understandable given that it’s bidding a heartfelt farewell to a group of friends who’ve been through a lot together – and have saved the world on several occasions. This final installment has a lot of emotional depth, more so than the previous two films, and the decision to give Rocket the spotlight pays off with a movie that’s not only a funny conclusion to the Guardians of the Galaxy series but also surprisingly touching.

Funny Girl‘s Lea Michele and Tony Award winner Myles Frost had the honor of announcing The 76th Annual Tony Awards. Some Like It Hot earned the most nominations with 13, including Best Musical, Best Direction of a Musical, and two in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical (Christian Borle, J. Harrison Ghee) category.
Shucked, & Juliet, and New York, New York picked up nine nominations each. Kimberly Akimbo and Sweeney Todd earned eight, followed by Ain’t No Mo’, A Doll’s House, Into the Woods, Parade, and Leopoldstadt with six.
Oscar winner Ariana DeBose (West Side Story) returns to host the live Tony Awards show airing on June 11, 2023 at 5pm PT / 8pm ET. This year’s ceremony will be broadcast on CBS and will stream live on Paramount+.

The Antoinette Perry “Tony” Awards, which were founded by the American Theatre Wing in 1947, are bestowed annually on theatre professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway. The Tony is one of the most coveted awards in the entertainment industry and the annual telecast – the night America watches Broadway – is considered one of the most prestigious programs on television.
The Jonas Brothers will be embarking on a 35-date stadium tour beginning August 12, 2023 at Yankee Stadium in New York. “The Tour” will stop in cities including Boston, Toronto, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Baltimore, and Nashville, before wrapping up on October 14th at Kaseya Center in Miami.
Brothers Nick, Joe, and Kevin will be performing five albums every night. In addition to announcing the premiere date and releasing the teaser trailer, the streaming service debuted a poster and photos from the upcoming docuseries. Netflix also released this description:

Ryan Murphy and Netflix’s second installment in the Monster anthology will shine the light on Lyle and Erik Menendez. In 1996, the Menendez brothers were convicted of murdering their wealthy parents, José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menéndez, in cold blood. The brothers claimed they killed their parents on August 20, 1989 out of desperation after years of physical abuse by both parents and sexual abuse by their father.
The jury didn’t believe the abuse defense and the brothers were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Netflix hasn’t confirmed any details on the upcoming installment other than the official title – Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story.
The first installment of Monster, DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, stars Evan Peters in the titular role. The cast also includes Richard Jenkins as Lionel Dahmer, Molly Ringwald as Shari Dahmer, Michael Beach as Detective Murphy, and Niecy Nash as Glenda Cleveland.
Nash earned the Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series award from the Critics Choice Association as well as the NAACP Image Award for her performance. Nash and Peters were nominated for SAG Awards, and Peters was named Best Actor in a Horror Series, Limited Series, or Made-for-TV Movie at the Critics Choice Assn. Super Awards.
Monster was created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, and Netflix has already greenlit the record-setting anthology for another installment in addition to the Menendez Brothers chapter. DAHMER is one of only four shows to reach one billion views over its first 60 days in release.
Netflix has given a series order to The Corps (the working title), based on Greg Cope White’s The Pink Marine memoir. Described as a comedic drama, the 10-episode season has Miles Heizer (13 Reasons Why), Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel), Max Parker (Vampire Academy), and Liam Oh (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre’s The Notebook) on board in starring roles. *Netflix’s permanent title is Boots.
Andy Parker (Tales of the City) is writing and will executive produce and serve as showrunner. Television icon Norman Lear, Brent Miller, Rachel Davidson, and Scott Hornbacher are also executive producing, with Peter Hoar (The Last of Us) attached to direct and executive produce the first episode. Greg Cope White is writing and producing.

Set in 1990, The Corps (WT) is about Cameron, a bullied, gay high school student who joins the Marine Corps with his straight best friend, Ray — a dangerous move when being gay in the military meant jail time or worse. As these two friends plunge into Marine Corps boot camp, where the landmines are both literal and metaphorical, they join a platoon of young men on a harrowing journey of transformation.
Miles Heizer stars as “Cameron Cope.” Cameron Cope is a charming underdog — a gay, bullied teenager living in a chaotic home with his narcissistic mom — he impulsively joins the Marines with his straight best friend in hopes that he’ll finally be made into a “real man.”
Vera Farmiga stars as “Barbara Cope.” Barbara Cope is a chameleon — always on the run from the consequences of her actions — but she becomes unmoored when her son Cameron leaves her for the Marine Corps.
Max Parker stars as “Sgt. Sullivan.” Sgt. Sullivan is the consummate elite Recon Marine, has been decorated for valor on numerous top-secret missions, but struggles to keep his own secret hidden. Haunted by his past, Sullivan sees himself in Cameron and tries to prepare him for the same personal war he’ll face beyond boot camp.
Liam Oh stars as “Ray McCaffey.” Ray is Cameron’s ride-or-die and the son of a strict Marine father. Ray carries the pressure of having to be best at all times, but when boot camp shakes his faith in himself, he is forced to reevaluate his life’s trajectory.
