Stranger Things season four volume one was, in a word, bonkers. A lot went down, and for those who – like me – need a refresher, Netflix put together this nifty three-minute recap video to prepare us for the final two extended episodes of season four.
The gang was still split up in various locations, including Russia and the Upside Down, at the end of episode seven. Episodes eight and nine will, hopefully, reunite the squad in order to take on Vecna and save the world…again.
Volume one of season four premiered on May 27, 2022 and consists of the first seven episodes. Episodes eight and nine will be released on July 1st, with episode eight running one hour and 25 minutes and episode nine clocking in at two hours and 20 minutes.

“It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”
NBC’s teasing the second season of the crazy action drama La Brea with a short 15-second video. The video doesn’t give away anything from the upcoming season, but the mammoth that walks into the frame at the end appears to be super excited about things to come.
Season two will premiere on September 27, 2022, with new episodes airing on Tuesdays at 9pm ET/PT. The first season debuted in September 2021 and is currently available to binge-watch on Peacock.
NBC’s weird mix of the prehistoric and contemporary turned out to be the top new series last fall among adults 18 to 49. Plus, overall it ranked #1 among all new 2021-2022 dramas in that same age group.

The Plot: “La Brea follows an epic family adventure after a massive sinkhole opens in Los Angeles pulling people and buildings into a mysterious and dangerous primeval land where they have no choice but to band together to survive.
In season two, the Harris family remains separated as Eve is reeling from her son, Josh, having mistakenly gone through a portal to 1988. What she doesn’t know yet is that her ex-husband, Gavin, and their daughter, Izzy, have landed in prehistoric Seattle and now must brave the elements and animals to make their way to L.A.”

Cole Sprouse to star in ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ (Photo by Richard Chavez / Showbiz Junkies)
Riverdale‘s Cole Sprouse and Big Little Lies‘ Kathryn Newton have signed up to star in Lisa Frankenstein, an updated twist on the classic horror story. Oscar winner Diablo Cody (Best Original Screenplay, Juno) is writing the screenplay and Zelda Williams will be making her feature-length film directorial debut with the project.
Focus Features offers the following description of Lisa Frankenstein:
“Set in 1989, an unpopular high schooler accidentally re-animates a handsome Victorian corpse during a lightning storm and starts to rebuild him into the man of her dreams using the broken tanning bed in her garage.”
Zelda Williams took to Twitter to talk about the film which she labels a zomb-com: “I know Hollywood gets a bad rep for regurgitating sequels and remakes and reboots over and over and over… and yeah, it totally does that! But it’s also finally letting me make the most bonkers, wonderful zombie script I’ve ever read, and for that, I will be forever grateful!”
Williams also tweeted: “Also, for anyone coming here to be like ‘THIS is your first feature?!’, it wasn’t meant to be. I had three films fall apart before this, because movies often do. It was discouraging, to say the least. But the fact this one survived and THRIVED to be my first? A f*cking gift.”
Screenwriter Cody will be involved as a producer along with MXN Entertainment’s Mason Novick. Cody and Novick previously worked together on Tully, Young Adult, Jennifer’s Body, and Juno. Jeff Lambert is executive producing.
Cole Sprouse’s credits include Riverdale, Moonshot, and Five Feet Apart. Kathryn Newton starred in Big Little Lies, The Map of Tiny Perfect Things, Freaky, and The Society.

QUANTUM LEAP
It’s been nearly 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now, a new team, led by physicist Ben Song (Raymond Lee), has been assembled to restart the project in hope of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.
Everything changes, however, when Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving the team behind to solve the mystery of why he did it. At Ben’s side throughout his leaps is Addison (Caitlin Bassett), who appears in the form of a hologram only Ben can see and hear. She’s a decorated Army veteran who brings level-headed precision to her job.
At the helm of the highly confidential operation is Herbert “Magic” Williams (Ernie Hudson), a no-nonsense career military man who has to answer to his bosses who won’t be happy once they learn about the breach of protocol. The rest of the team at headquarters includes Ian Wright (Mason Alexander Park), who runs the Artificial Intelligence unit “Ziggy,” and Jenn Chou (Nanrisa Lee), who heads up digital security for the project.
As Ben leaps from life to life, putting right what once went wrong, it becomes clear that he and the team are on a thrilling journey. However, Addison, Magic, Ian and Jenn know that if they are going to solve the mystery of Ben’s leap and bring him home, they must act fast or lose him forever.
LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ
A working-class family comedy about dysfunction, reconnection and all the pain and joy in between.
The cast includes George Lopez, Mayan Lopez, Selenis Leyva, Brice Gonzalez, Matt Shively, Laci Mosley (recurring) and Kiran Deol (recurring).
Ted Lasso and The Morning Show might get all the awards attention, but my absolute must-see Apple TV+ series is See starring Jason Momoa. And if you’re one of the uninitiated, you’ve got plenty of time to binge seasons one and two before the upcoming third – and, unfortunately, final – season premieres on Friday, August 26, 2022.
Apple TV+ dropped a short teaser for the eight-episode third season and confirmed that in addition to Jason Momoa, the cast includes Sylvia Hoeks, Hera Hilmar, Christian Camargo, Archie Madekwe, Nesta Cooper, Tom Mison, and Olivia Cheng. Eden Epstein, Michael Raymond-James, David Hewlett, and Trieste Kelly Dunn also star in the final season.
“We are thrilled to share this epic final chapter of See, which delivers all the intense drama, riveting action, and heartfelt emotion fans have come to expect, as well as what we think is a deeply satisfying conclusion to our story,” said showrunner and executive producer Jonathan Tropper. “Building a world without sight was a particularly unique and continuous challenge that was met through the passionate and thoughtful collaboration of a phenomenally talented and diverse team both in front of and behind the camera. The show has been a monumental labor of love for all involved, and we are eternally grateful for the way ’See’ has been embraced by viewers around the world.”
Additional executive producers include Steven Knight, Francis Lawrence, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Jim Rowe, Jennifer Yale, and Anders Engström. The series is a Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content production.

Apple TV+’s See season three plot:
“See is set in a brutal and primitive future, hundreds of years after humankind has lost the ability to see. In season three, almost a year has passed since Baba Voss (Momoa) defeated his nemesis brother Edo and bid farewell to his family to live remotely in the forest. But when a Trivantian scientist develops a new and devastating form of sighted weaponry that threatens the future of humanity, Baba returns to Paya in order to protect his tribe once more.”
The pressure’s high but the heat’s even higher according to one of the contestants on Netflix’s Blown Away season three. The official trailer for the incredibly addictive series’ new season shows the contestants panicking, freaking out over broken glass, and generally hitting the upper limits of stress while attempting to create mind-blowing sculptures.
Season one of the unscripted competition series premiered in July 2019 followed by season two in January 2021. Season three is set to arrive on July 22, 2022. And, no, you absolutely do not have to know anything about the art of glassblowing to get drawn in by this series. (I’m speaking from experience.)
Netflix’s official season three trailer arrived along with the following synopsis:
“Blown Away is back for Season 3 with some of the glass world’s heaviest hitters, all competing for the title, Best In Glass. Ten glass artists have come to North America’s largest hot shop to push themselves to their creative limits.
In each episode, the glassblowers must impress the Evaluators or risk being eliminated. At stake is a life-changing prize that will send their careers to new heights. Blown Away is hosted by Nick Uhas with Resident Evaluator and Glass Master Katherine Gray.”
