The CW’s The 100 season six episode seven confirmed Clarke is still alive inside her body which has been taken over by Josie. The two battled it out for control until Clarke became convinced her death was the best thing that could happen for her friends as it meant they would be provided with their own place to live on Sanctum.
Fortunately, Monty – yes, Monty! – put in an appearance inside Clarke’s head and talked her out of surrendering. The episode ended with Clarke tapping her fingers (even with Josie still in control) in Morse Code to let Bellamy knows she’s alive.
Up next, season six episode eight titled “The Old Man and the Anomaly” airing on June 25, 2019. Episode eight was directed by April Mullen from a script by Miranda Kwok.
The cast of season six includes Eliza Taylor as Clarke Griffin, Paige Turco as Dr. Abigail Griffin, Bob Morley as Bellamy Blake, Marie Avgeropoulos as Octavia Blake, Lindsey Morgan as Raven Reyes, Richard Harmon as John Murphy, Tasya Teles as Echo, and Shannon Kook as Jordan Green. Luisa D’Oliveria is Emori, Sachin Sahel is Jackson, and Jarod Joseph is Miller.
“The Old Man and the Anomaly” Plot – MURPHY MAKES AN OFFER – Octavia (Avgeropoulos) and Diyoza (Milicevic) make their way to the mysterious anomaly in search of the Old Man. Meanwhile, Murphy (Harmon) has an offer for Emori (d’Oliveira).
The 100 Season 6 Plot:
“After the game-changing season five finale, Clarke and the team make their way down to the new planet. They are left wondering if this planet is suitable for life, and if the human race can finally live in peace? What will they find on this new mysterious home, and what will emerge from Monty’s discovery of the Eligius III mission?”
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in ‘Game of Thrones’ season 8 episode 2 (Photo by Helen Sloan/HBO)
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has set up his next TV project now that Game of Thrones has (unsatisfactorily) ended. Coster-Waldau has signed on to FX’s Gone Hollywood, a drama set in the 1980s and focusing on a fictional Hollywood talent agency.
FX announced John Magaro (The Umbrella Academy, The Big Short, War Machine), Lola Kirke (Mozart in the Jungle, Mistress America, Gone Girl), Ben Schnetzer (Pride, Goat), Jonathan Pryce (The Wife, Taboo), and Judd Hirsch (The Meyerowitz Stories, Independence Day Resurgence, The Goldbergs) are also set to star in the drama’s pilot.
Nelson Franklin (New Girl, Veep), Eric Lange (Escape at Dannemora), Sarah Ramos (Midnight, Texas), Peta Sergeant (Snowfall), and Jeremy Shamos (The Big Sick) are featured in the pilot in recurring roles.
The series was created by showrunner Ted Griffin (Ocean’s Eleven, Terriers). Griffin is writing and executive producing, and will also direct the pilot. Scott Rudin, Eli Bush, Garrett Basch, Shawn Ryan, and Marney Hochman are on board as executive producers.
The network didn’t confirm when production will start or when we can expect Gone Hollywood to premiere.
The Plot and Characters:
“Set in 1980, Gone Hollywood centers on a group of talent agents who defect from an old-guard percentery to found their own, which skyrockets to industry dominance, disrupting the business and changing movies forever. The show will mix its fictional protagonists with real-life entertainment figures and events.”
Julie Andrews joins ‘Bridgerton’ (Photo Courtesy of Netflix)
Netflix and Shondaland just announced Oscar winner Julie Andrews (Mary Poppins) has committed to a voice role in the untitled Bridgerton series. Andrews will provide the voice of Lady Whistledown in the series adapted from Julia Quinn’s bestselling Bridgerton novel series.
Netflix offered this description of Lady Whistledown: “Anonymous to readers, this mysterious, sharp-tongued gossip writer uses a curious mix of social commentary and scathing insult to send the season of 1813’s ton into an all-out frenzy.”
Season one is expected to premiere in 2020. Created by Chris Van Dusen, the untitled series’ first season will consist of eight one-hour episodes. Van Dusen, Shonda Rhimes (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal), and Betsy Beers are executive producing.
Julie Andrews has been keeping busy with her Julie’s Greenroom preschool series as well as lending her voice to animated projects including the Despicable Me and Shrek film franchises. In October 2003 she launched the Julie Andrews Collection which has released over 25 books thus far.
In addition to three Oscar nominations (winning once), Andrews has won multiple Golden Globes and Emmys. She also earned a BAFTA award (Most Promising Newcomer to Leading Film Roles), a Grammy (Best Recording for Children, Mary Poppins), and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Screen Actors Guild.
The Plot, Courtesy of Netflix:
Bridgerton is set in the sexy, lavish and competitive world of Regency London high society. From the glittering ballrooms of Mayfair to the aristocratic palaces of Park Lane and beyond, the series unveils a seductive, sumptuous world replete with intricate rules and dramatic power struggles, where no one is truly ever on steady ground.
At the heart of the show is the powerful Bridgerton family. Comprised of eight close-knit siblings, this funny, witty, daring and clever group must navigate the upper ten thousand’s marriage mart in search of romance, adventure and love.

National Geographic is searching for contestants for its new reality competition series, Race to the Center of the Earth. Production is expected to get underway later this year on what’s described as the “first-ever global adventure” series.
“Not only are we looking for people who are diverse and exciting, but we’re looking for those who really embody the legacy of National Geographic’s yellow border — passionate and adventurous explorers who constantly push their personal boundaries to go further,” said executive producer Bertram van Munster. “We hope that these teams, along with the beautiful global backdrop, will inspire others to step out of their own comfort zones and go on their own fantastic adventures.”
The series is produced by New Media Collective from a format by Plum Pictures for National Geographic. In addition to Bertram van Munster, executive producers for season one include Elise Doganieri and Matt Renner.
Series Details and Casting Information, Courtesy of National Geographic:
Do you have the grit and endurance to take on a global adventure race and to navigate your way, day after day, for a chance to win $1,000,000? National Geographic is casting contestants for Race to the Center of the Earth, an extreme, nonelimination competition series that pits four teams of three contestants against one another in a nonstop adventure across the globe. Teams start from different corners of the earth and race to be the first to reach the remote location that holds the $1,000,000 prize.
The eight-part series will challenge these fearless, passionate adventurers and weekend warriors with navigating their designated route, and they’ll face unpredictable terrains, harsh climates and unique cultures as they make their way to the finish. Along the way, they will trek through untamed jungles, frozen tundra, arid deserts, bustling cities and imposing mountains and sail vast open seas to reach the place where all four routes intersect — a remote and challenging location where the prize awaits. The first team to arrive claims it all.

Stephanie Morgenstern directs The CW’s Burden of Truth season two episode four, written by Shannon Masters. The new episode’s titled “Guilt By Association” and will air on June 23, 2019.
Season two airs on Sundays at 8pm ET/PT.
The second season stars Kristin Kreuk as Joanna Chang (formerly Hanley), Peter Mooney as Billy Crawford, Star Slade as Luna, Jessica Matten as Gerrilyn, and Sarah Thompson as Molly.
The “Guilty By Association” Plot: LUNA VISITS HER MOTHER – Joanna (Kreuk) and Billy (Mooney) join forces again to help a friend. Meanwhile, Joanna is forced to deal with her father (Alex Carter).
The Plot:
Burden of Truth is a serialized investigative drama about life-altering legal cases, the helpless plaintiffs searching for answers, and the boots-on-the-ground lawyers fighting incredible odds to deliver justice.
Attorney Joanna Hanley (Kreuk) leaves her picture-perfect legal career as a partner in a corporate law firm to solve the case of a mysterious illness affecting the female high school students of her hometown Millwood in Manitoba – a prairie town with an industrial past and an uncertain future. She joins her former high school nemesis, local attorney Billy Crawford (Mooney), to find the source of the illness and win justice for the girls.
Billy and Joanna will have to put aside their resentments and opposing legal styles to find the answers they seek. Joanna also realizes there’s not just a legal investigation waiting for her in Millwood, but a personal one. She starts investigating herself just as she would a case, beginning with her darkest family secret: the reason her family was forced to suddenly leave town.
Burden of Truth explores human relationships in the context of a legal mystery, highlighting the stress and impact on the investigators fighting a case that might come to nothing, and the danger of a growing illness that they may never be able to identify or cure.
Eliza Clark named ‘Y’ showrunner (Photo Courtesy of FX)
FX is moving forward slowly, but surely, on an adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan’s award-winning Y: The Last Man comic book series. Titled simply Y, the adaptation now has Eliza Clark on board as showrunner.
Clark’s writing credits include TNT’s Animal Kingdom, AMC’s The Killing, AMC’s Rubicon, and CBS’ Extant. Clark will also executive produce along with Vaughan, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, and Melina Matsoukas. Matsoukas is directing the pilot episode.
Season one of the sci-fi drama is targeting a 2020 premiere.
FX previously announced Oscar nominee Diane Lane (Unfaithful), Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk), Imogen Poots (Frank & Lola), Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel), Juliana Canfield (Succession), Marin Ireland (Sneaky Pete), and Amber Tamblyn (Two and a Half Men) are set to star in season one.
“Eliza Clark is an enormously talented writer and producer whose ambitious vision for Y will only enhance the mystique and allure of this powerful story,” said Nick Grad, Co-President, Original Programming, FX Entertainment. “We are thrilled to have her on board and partner with this stellar cast, Brian, Nina, Brad and Melina.”
“A decade ago I devoured the complete Y: The Last Man series cover to cover, imagining how it might take shape on screen,” explained Eliza Clark. “It introduced me to the amazing work of Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra and the complex, fascinating world of Y. I’m thrilled to tell this story and to be working with this immensely talented cast.”
“We were chasing Eliza Clark as a writer long before we knew that she shared our obsession with Y: The Last Man,” added producer Nina Jacobson. Eli’s singular voice and insight into the world and themes of Y make her uniquely suited to bring this story to life.”
The Plot and Characters:
“All of the men are dead. But one. Based on DC Comics’ acclaimed series Y: The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, Y traverses a post-apocalyptic world in which a cataclysmic event has decimated every male save for one lone human. The new world order of women will explore gender, race, class and survival.”
Diane Lane will play “Senator Jennifer Brown.” A Junior Senator in her first term, Senator Brown has already made a name for herself in political circles for her willingness to put personal ideals above politics. She is also the mother of Yorick and Hero Brown.
Barry Keoghan will play “Yorick Brown,” a young man quick to use humor to deflect from his problems who may be the lone male survivor of a worldwide plague.
Imogen Poots will play “Hero Brown.” A tough and confident EMT, Hero nurses a deep emotional trauma that often leads her to cross personal and professional lines.
Lashana Lynch will play “Agent 355,” a Secret Service agent who performs the duties of her job with the utmost professionalism, even under the most unexpected set of circumstances.
Juliana Canfield will play “Beth.” A Brooklyn-based knife maker, Beth grew up on a farm and went to New York to experience the big city. She finds something endearing about the hapless Yorick and when they’re together, there’s the undeniable spark of two kids in love.
Marin Ireland (Sneaky Pete) with play “Nora,” the President’s senior assistant and right hand. She effortlessly balances family life with a job navigating the corridors of power.
