Pet Sematary: Bloodlines steps back in time and reveals the history behind the creepy cemetery featured in Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. The Paramount+ original film expands the universe of King’s bestselling horror novel that centered on a pet cemetery set up on the Micmac Burial Ground and possessed the power to bring animals…and people…back to life.
The prequel, which just confirmed its official title and premiere date, stars Jackson White (Tell Me Lies) Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant), Jack Mulhern (Mare of Easttown), Henry Thomas (The Fall of the House of Usher), Natalie Alyn Lind (The Gifted) and Isabella Star LaBlanc (True Detective: Night Country). Pam Grier (Jackie Brown) and David Duchovny (Californication) are also featured in the supernatural horror film.
Lindsey Anderson Beer makes her directorial debut with the film and co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Buhler. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian serve as producers.

Paramount+ offers this synopsis of the horror prequel:
“In 1969, a young Jud Crandall has dreams of leaving his hometown of Ludlow, Maine behind, but soon discovers sinister secrets buried within and is forced to confront a dark family history that will forever keep him connected to Ludlow. Banding together, Jud and his childhood friends must fight an ancient evil that has gripped Ludlow since its founding and once unearthed has the power to destroy everything in its path.
Based on the untold chapter from Pet Sematary, Stephen King’s chilling novel, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is a terrifying prequel and the untold story of why sometimes dead is better…”

CBS’s 2023 fall primetime lineup will look vastly different from previous years. Due to the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes, production has been shut down on scripted series and films. Given the lack of new episodes of its normal nighttime shows, CBS is diving into programs that have aired on Paramount+. Plus, the network’s leaning heavily on unscripted series and game shows.
Yellowstone starring Kevin Costner, Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, and Luke Grimes will make its debut on broadcast television this fall. Season one will air on Sundays on CBS, five years after premiering in June 2018 on Paramount Network.
Paramount+’s SEAL Team season five will run on CBS on Thursdays, and FBI True makes the move from Paramount+ to CBS on Tuesdays this fall. And the original U.K. Ghosts, which inspired the American version, will take up a spot on CBS’s lineup on Thursdays.
Reality competition series’ Survivor and The Amazing Race will be expanding to 90-minute episodes. New reality shows Buddy Games, Raid the Cage, and Loteria Loca debut this fall, along with new seasons of The Price is Right at Night, Let’s Make a Deal Primetime, 60 Minutes, and 48 Hours.
Blue Bloods will be back on Friday nights, but only with repeats of fan-favorite episodes.
YELLOWSTONE
From MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, Yellowstone stars Oscar, Emmy, and Golden Globe winner Kevin Costner as John Dutton, the patriarch of a powerful, complicated family of ranchers. A sixth-generation homesteader and devoted father, Dutton controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. He operates in a corrupt world where politicians are compromised by influential oil and lumber corporations and land grabs make developers billions.
Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds and hard-earned respect, Dutton’s property is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation and America’s first national park.

With everything on the line, what choices did they make? How did they keep their cool with a kidnapped child’s life in danger, or with a bomb ticking in an unknown location, or a terrorist on the loose?
BUDDY GAMES
Hosted by Josh Duhamel, Buddy Games unites six teams of four deep-rooted friends who met at various stages of their lives at a stunning lakeside location for a nostalgic adult summer camp adventure. “Ride or dies” get the chance to play “buddy games” where they will relive their glory days and compete in an assortment of absurd physical and mental challenges in the outdoors while bunking together in the same lake house.

The Plot, Courtesy of FX:
Having left the hollers of Kentucky 15 years ago, Raylan Givens now lives in Miami, a walking anachronism balancing his life as a U.S. Marshal and part-time father of a 15-year-old girl. His hair is grayer, his hat is dirtier, and the road in front of him is suddenly a lot shorter than the road behind.
A chance encounter on a desolate Florida highway sends him to Detroit. There he crosses paths with Clement Mansell, aka The Oklahoma Wildman, a violent, sociopathic desperado who’s already slipped through the fingers of Detroit’s finest once and aims to do so again. Mansell’s lawyer, formidable Motor City native Carolyn Wilder, has every intention of representing her client, even as she finds herself caught in between cop and criminal, with her own game afoot as well.
These three characters set out on a collision course in classic Elmore Leonard fashion to see who makes it out of the City Primeval alive.
