New Line Cinema’s unveiled the official trailer for The Nun 2, the newest addition to The Conjuring franchise. The trailer delivers a little backstory on Valak, the demon nun, and finds Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene prepared to take on the incredibly evil entity.
In addition to Taissa Farmiga (The Nun), the cast of The Nun sequel includes Jonas Bloquet (Tirailleurs, The Nun), Storm Reid (The Last of Us), Anna Popplewell (The Chronicles of Narnia trilogy), and Bonnie Aarons, reprising her role as the titular character. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It‘s director Michael Chaves directs from a screenplay by Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and Akela Cooper.
New Line offers this description of the follow-up to the biggest-grossing film of The Conjuring franchise:
“1956 – France. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak, the demon nun.”
The Nun was released on September 7, 2018 and The Nun 2 is targeting a September 8, 2023 theatrical release in North America. (Internationally on September 6th.)
The original The Conjuring film kicked off the lucrative franchise in July 2013 and rang up $320 million during its theatrical run. The spinoff Annabelle arrived in 2014 and earned $257 million, followed by The Conjuring 2 in 2016 with a $322 million gross. Annabelle: Creation premiered in 2017 and brought in $307 million. Next came The Nun in 2018 and its massive box office take of $366 million. Annabelle Comes Home debuted in 2019 and grossed $231 million, and 2021’s The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It pulled in $206 million.
The Safran Company’s Peter Safran and Atomic Monster’s James Wan serve as producers. Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Victoria Palmeri, Gary Dauberman, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Michael Polaire executive produce.
Chaves’ behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Tristan Nyby, production designer Stéphane Cressend, editor Gregory Plotkin, visual effects producer Sophie A. Leclerc, costume designer Agnès Béziers, and composer Marco Beltrami.
Rock & Roll Hall of Famers The Eagles will hit the road one final time for “The Long Goodbye” tour, kicking off on September 7. 2023 at Madison Square Garden in New York. The group’s announcement only includes 13 dates, and many more are expected to be added in the coming months.
Steely Dan’s been tapped to open for the tour. Presale and VIP tickets go on sale on July 12, 2023 for the initial 13 dates. General ticket sales begin on Friday, July 14 at 10am local time.
The six-time Grammy Award-winning band posted this message to fans regarding their farewell tour:
“The Eagles have had a miraculous 52-year odyssey, performing for people all over the globe; keeping the music alive in the face of tragic losses, upheavals and setbacks of many kinds. The official farewell tour is currently in the planning stages. We want to give all our fans a chance to see us on this final round. So, scheduling information will be released as dates are set. The difficulties of booking venues for multiple nights may require us to return to certain cities, depending on demand. But, we hope to see as many of you as we can, before we finish up.
Most importantly, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing this band and its music. At the end of the day, you are the reason we have been able to carry on for over five decades. This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on.”

Still haven’t recovered from FX’s Mayans M.C. season five episode seven? Neither have I. But buckle up because episode eight – “Her Blacks Crackle and Drag” – doesn’t let up. The episode finds the Mayans saying goodbye to Creeper, Angel lost without Adelita, and Hope taking drastic measures to ensure Isaac can never hurt her or Letty again.
But, most importantly, the episode’s explosive ending might spell the end of EZ’s short reign over the prisons.
Episode eight opens with Downer (Angel Oquendo) and Guero (Andrew Jacobs) transporting the dead bodies of Diaz and Jinx. Guero’s justifiably worried after killing Oakland’s president in cold blood, which forced Bishop to take out the VP. But Downer assures him the club knows why he did it. It wasn’t a smart move, but they have his back.
They dump the bodies outside of the Grim Bastards clubhouse, knowing they’ll assume Sons of Anarchy murdered Oakland’s leaders.
Morning arrives, and EZ (JD Pardo) takes an ice bath. Angel (Clayton Cardenas) starts his day seated next to Maverick on the floor while his young son has breakfast and watches cartoons.
Letty (Emily Tosta) is caught sneaking around the Broken Saints camp and stumbles her way through an excuse. Alone, she searches a truck for keys.
Miguel (Danny Pino) puts in a surprise appearance at Felipe’s house, and Felipe (Edward James Olmos) answers the door calling him “son.” Miguel talks about his dad’s anger and how he was difficult to live with. That said, at least he was there while Miguel was growing up. Felipe knows full well what Miguel’s father was like; they grew up in the same village.
Miguel believes that even though his dad knew Felipe and Dita had an affair, he treated him like a son. “He earned to be called my father,” says Miguel.
“The only thing a father can ask of his son is to forgive his mistakes,” replies Felipe.
Miguel doesn’t forgive Felipe. He forgives the man he knew as his father.
Back at the Santo Padre clubhouse, Sally’s acting weird and won’t leave Sofia (Andrea Cortes) alone. Sofia joins EZ outside as he’s exercising and tells him that Creeper wouldn’t want him to punish himself. (I’m pretty sure Creeper would.) They’re interrupted by the arrival of the Grim Bastards South Gate Charter President Lucky (Gilbert Glenn Brown) and a few of his men. Lucky places Diaz and Jinx’s cuts in front of EZ and reveals that the Grim Bastards have joined the war against Sons. He believes the bodies were left to intimidate them, and that’s not going to happen.
“Black and Brown unite,” says Lucky. EZ and Lucky shake on the new alliance, which Guero inadvertently made possible.
Marcus (Emilio Rivera) whips up French toast for his family, and they joke about his cooking skills. The morning’s calm is interrupted by a call delivering horrible news. Marcus heads to the garage, touches his cut, and then takes off on his motorcycle (without donning the Mayans cut).
Letty makes it to the SoA clubhouse and fills Isaac (JR Bourne) in on what she’s learned at the Broken Saints camp. She knows the Mayans are making pills or something there, but swears the women are only trying to do good.
Letty’s done her part and demands Isaac hand over Hope. (Did she really believe it would be that easy?!) Isaac taunts her in his unique, twisted way, telling her she chose a sister over the sisterhood. “You’re more like Coco than I thought,” says Isaac.
She screams out Hope’s name, and Isaac warns her that whatever happens next is her fault.

SAMCRO VP Terry (Greg Vrotsos) is guarding Hope (Vanessa Giselle) when Isaac joins them and insists that clarity doesn’t look good on her. He’d prefer her to be on drugs and not so lucid and aware. Hope is holding onto hope that Letty will free her, but Isaac lies and says Letty’s forgotten about her. Hope doesn’t take the bait and maintains that Letty will save her.
Isaac warns Hope that if Letty does come for her, he’ll set her on fire and make her watch. He kisses her on the head and calls her Judas wolf, and she pulls away in disgust.
Isaac leaves Terry to babysit Hope.
Marcus pays SAMCRO a visit and demands to know who killed Diaz. Rane Quinn (Rusty Coones) and another Sons claim they know nothing about Diaz’s murder, and that EZ and Angel broke the truce when they killed Happy. Marcus had no idea that went down. Rane suggests Marcus look at someone within the Mayans.
“You Mayans…you kill each other more than we kill you. It wasn’t us,” says Rane.
Marcus seems to consider this and leaves without any bloodshed.
Back at Santo Padre, Hank (Frankie Loyal) and EZ discuss the Grim Bastards. Now that they’re in the game, EZ believes SAMCRO is cornered. EZ has the gall to bring up Creeper and says nothing like that can ever happen again. Hank comforts EZ and reminds him that Creep went out a Mayan. (I really wish Hank knew the truth at this point.)
Night falls, and Letty makes her move. She sees Isaac and his men ride out and busts into the clubhouse to rescue Hope. Terry sides with Letty and Hope and kills the women left behind, clearing the path for them to escape. Terry shoots himself in the shoulder as cover.

The Mayans gather for Creeper’s funeral, with Nestor (Gino Vento), Hank, Bishop (Michael Irby), Bottles (Alex Barone), Guero, and Downer carrying his coffin into the clubhouse. Even Taza (Raoul Max Trujillo) returns for the service. Creeper’s sister delivers the eulogy and recalls that her brother always made sure the family was fed and clothed, even during their most difficult years.
She was happy when he met the Mayans. They felt like home to him, and she’s grateful they are his brothers. She thanks the longtime members of the club and says EZ meant the world to her brother.
She gives EZ a hug, and EZ approaches the open coffin. He spends a moment looking at Creeper and then faces his brothers. “I killed my brother. I killed Creeper,” says EZ. No one understands just how true that is, and he continues, pointing out Creeper’s death was on his watch. If he’d made different decisions, Creeper would still be alive. EZ claims he’ll never forgive himself for Creeper’s death.
Kodi (Stella Mauve) is next to approach Creeper, and she gently touches his face. (The guys don’t know her real name is Katie McNeill and that she was up, until recently, an undercover ATF agent.) She’s crying as she leaves Creeper’s coffin, and she stares daggers at EZ when she walks by.
Angel notices the look.
Letty and Hope drive away, but Hope is certain Isaac will find them. Letty wants to go to see Chucky in Ohio, but Hope believes Isaac will never stop looking for them. (Yes, a surprise callout to Chucky before Mayans ends its run!)
Hope loses it and screams at Letty to pull over. Vehicles are whizzing by and Hope is standing in front of the car when she thanks Letty for giving her the best months of her life. It’s Letty’s turn to freak out as Hope says, “I love you. Now I have to set you free.”
Hope takes a step backward into traffic as Letty desperately reaches out her hand. A truck ends Hope’s life as Letty sobs. (Hope’s exit is a nice little homage to Jax’s death in Sons of Anarchy. Vanessa Giselle tweeted and confirmed it’s even the same interstate that Jax died on.)
The Mayans hold bottles of water high as Creeper’s coffin is carried out of the clubhouse. Some touch the coffin with their bottles as Creeper leaves Santo Padre’s clubhouse for the last time. Gilly (Vincent Vargas), Bishop, Taza, Nestor, Bottles, Downer, Guero, and Hank carry the coffin and place it into the back of the hearse.
The partying is seriously underway, and Bottles and Treenie (Augie Duke) struggle to keep up with pouring drinks without Cielo or Jess. Taza tries to sneak out, but Bishop’s outside, and the two – who used to be good friends – have a chat. Bishop wonders if Taza found what he was looking for, and Taza admits he didn’t.
It’s an uncomfortable exchange, and Taza can’t believe they’ve lost Coco and Creeper in this war.
Bishop is ready to put the past behind them.
“What’s hell if you can’t enjoy it with your friends?” says Bishop. He admits it would be a stupid time for Taza to return to Santo Padre.
Taza replies, “No one ever said I was particularly smart.”
Later that night, Marcus removes his Presidente patch from his cut and tosses it into a fire.
Angel returns home after a long day, cradling Maverick in his arms. He looks around his empty house and it no longer feels like home. He returns to Felipe’s and his dad welcomes him in. Felipe reminds Angel that it’s always been his home and it always will be.
EZ crawls into bed next to Sofia and she tries to get him to open up. She believes he’s pulling away, and she’s scared he’s lost to her.
Guero climbs into the van with Bottles for a road trip to the Broken Saints ranch. Both think they made a connection with the same woman, but Bottles insists she wants him. He shows Guero a text from her that reads: “Need you. Come quick.”
They need gas, but neither is willing to get out of the van, sure the other will drive off without them. The standoff continues, and finally, they leave the gas station without filling up.
They’re driving on fumes and, of course, they run out of gas before they can make it to the ranch. However, they’re close enough to see the sky light up orange in the direction of the ranch. An explosion is heard, and they run to the ranch in time to see people being helped out of the cookhouse as it’s fully engulfed in flames.
Screams and the roaring of the fire fill the air as the episode ends.
Warner Bros Discovery Home Entertainment is bringing four animated films to the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con, with world premieres set for The Venture Bros.: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart, Justice League: Warworld, and Babylon 5: The Road Home. WBDHE will also present a panel for Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar complete with clips and special guests.
Comic-Con takes place at the San Diego Convention Center and surrounding Gaslamp District. This year’s Con kicks off on preview night, July 19, and runs through July 23.

The Worsley family will be going through lots of changes as FX’s Breeders wraps up its run with season four, premiering on July 31, 2023. The new trailer catches up with the family five years after the events of season three, which ended with Paul (Martin Freeman) and Ally (Daisy Haggard) about to split up, and Luke falling in love.
The cast of season four also includes Alun Armstrong, Oscar Kennedy, Joanna Bacon, Zoë Athena, and Jessie Williams.

The discovery of oil on land belonging to the Osage Nation leads to a series of brutal murders in Killers of the Flower Moon, based on the bestselling book by David Grann. The official trailer for the film adaptation touches on the key events and players, with Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant) and two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro (Raging Bull, The Godfather Part II) leading the impressive ensemble as Ernest Burkhart and William Hale, respectively.

At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became some of the richest people in the world overnight. Based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Gladstone), Killers of the Flower Moon is an epic Western crime saga where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal.
Netflix’s first teaser trailer for the upcoming fourth season of Sex Education was accompanied by bad news for the show’s fans. Season four will be the show’s final season.
In an interview with Netflix’s TUDUM, series creator Laurie Nunn revealed the fourth season jumps forward a few months after the events of the season three finale.
“Maeve is in America, which is where we left her on the bus, going off to study. The Moordale Secondary students are starting at a new school called Cavendish College, which is very different from Moordale. It’s very progressive and woke, and it makes the Moordale students feel like they’re little fish in a big pond,” explained Nunn.
Returning cast members include Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, and Kedar Williams-Stirling. Mimi Keene, George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu, Dua Saleh, Alistair Petrie, Samantha Spiro, Jim Howick, Rakhee Thakrar, and Daniel Ings are also back for the final season.
Newcomers include Dan Levy (Schitt’s Creek), Thaddea Graham (Doctor Who), Lisa McGrillis (Somewhere Boy), Marie Reuther (Kamikaze), Jodie Turner Smith (Murder Mystery 2), and Eshaan Akbar. Felix Mufti, Anthony Lexa, Alexandra James, Reda Elazouar, Bella Maclean, and Imani Yahshua are also featured in season four.

Did season two episode six of Freeform’s Cruel Summer bring more answers or more questions? Given the previous five episodes, it’s unlikely we’ll get any real answers until the season finale. Episode six certainly didn’t do anything but muddy the water.

Summer of 1999
Isabella (Lexi Underwood) informs Megan (Sadie Stanley) that she broke up with Luke. She claims she couldn’t be with him anymore knowing that Megan likes him.
Megan plans a 17th birthday party at her house for Luke with the help of his brother, Brent (Braeden De La Garza). As she’s ordering him around, Brent urges her to relax. He leaves with the parting words, “Just trust me, this party is going to be something Luke will never forget.”
Luke’s party is in full swing when he shows up. Luke (Griffin Gluck) assures Megan he doesn’t mind if Isabella is around, even though she just broke up with him. He also makes a point of telling her how good she looks with her hair down instead of in its usual ponytail.
Jeff (Nile Bullock) tries to invite Megan to go camping with his parents just as Isabella arrives at the party. As Luke watches Isabella, Megan watches him, and then Jeff watches Megan and realizes she didn’t hear him. Megan makes sure Isabella isn’t having second thoughts about breaking up with Luke.
Isabella wishes Luke a happy birthday while Brent talks crap about Isabella.
Megan and Luke are beer pong partners, and Isabella and Jeff also pair up for Luke Chamber’s First Annual Beer Pong Tournament. And, apparently, Brent hired a stripper for his brother’s birthday. Weird.
As Megan surprises Luke with a cake, she looks like she’s about to kiss him, but he gets sick and runs off. Megan tries to talk to Jeff, but he knows she wants to be with Luke; it’s obvious. He thinks Megan was using him to practice for Luke.

Winter of 1999
As the girls get ready for a tradition called the Chatham Plunge, Megan receives an instant message from Ned, the hacker dude who lives in the woods. (The same guy she gave extra mustard to in episode five and has been secretly communicating with.) He lets her know there’s a job opportunity and asks her to come to his house. Megan bails on the Chatham Plunge, claiming she has paperwork due for college.
Luke works out with Sheriff Myer (Sean Blakemore), and the sheriff gives Luke a pep talk. He reminds Luke that his family knows how to push buttons, referring to his brother, Brent.
Luke and Isabella discuss Megan while getting ready to take the icy plunge. Luke believes Megan’s pulling away, but they don’t have time to really talk about it because a couple of guys give them a hard time about the sex tape.
Megan arrives at Ned’s house, and he goes over his security system with her. He’s worried about New Year’s Day and if his system will fail because of Y2K. When he leaves her alone to work on his system, the door locks behind him.
Isabella and Luke seem to be getting closer… again. He’s worried Megan isn’t into him anymore, and Isabella assures him she is. She thinks Megan’s just going through something.
Luke and Isabella are alone in his car when he tells her that she’s taken “so many hits” for Megan. Isabella claims Megan’s her sister and loyalty means everything to her. He asks if she ever regrets it, and she claims she doesn’t. Luke admits he still thinks about her and tries to kiss her. When Isabell refuses, he confesses he thought she was feeling what was going on between them. She informs him that he thought wrong.
Megan finishes up the job for Ned and they chat before she leaves. Ned begins to talk about the Chambers and how Steve thinks he’s above the law and that everyone should bend to them. She claims Luke isn’t like that.
Megan comes home to find Luke waiting in her room. When she asks if he and Isabella had fun, he lies and tells her she was the only thing on his mind and that he misses her. He wants to start fresh and asks about her day, but she’d rather fool around.
Megan’s glad Luke came over because she feels they really needed time alone. She also apologizes for being weird the past couple of days. He seems to feel bad about what happened between him and Isabella, and he tells Megan that while hanging out with Isabella at the plunge, it felt like old times. Megan gets freaked out and demands to know what he means. He lies and says Isabella kissed him. (Way to weasel out and not take responsibility for your actions, Luke!)

Summer of 2000
Megan instant messages Ned and he asks if the code he gave her helped her access files. Debbie (KaDee Strickland) comes in, wondering if she slept at all. Megan opens up about how it’s a hard day. It’s Luke’s birthday and instead of planning a party, they’re attending a memorial. Debbie wants to know where Megan got the laptop she’s using, and Megan just says it’s from a friend. When Debbie tries to ask who, Megan ends the conversation by putting on headphones.
Megan’s sitting in front of a makeshift memorial for Luke when Brent joins her. They laugh as they reminisce about Luke. As she begins to cry, Brent admits he was a jerk to Luke and that Luke didn’t deserve it.
Megan’s in full-on detective mode after getting a letter from Isabella’s old friend, Trevor (we met him in episode five) with a newspaper article about Isabella’s friend, Lisa, dying in a drowning accident. Megan is pouring over the police report of the incident when Debbie comes walks in and asks about the papers. Megan tells her that in the police report from St. Barts, witnesses said Isabella convinced Lisa to go swimming that night even though Lisa was clearly drunk. People could hear the two arguing in the water before Lisa drowned.
Apparently, Isabella left St. Barts that night by helicopter. The case was closed, probably because Isabella’s parents had powerful connections. “A falling out with her best friend and then someone drowns. I mean, it’s…familiar,” says Megan.
Debbie walks into the camper where Isabella was staying to look for what Isabella described as something Megan was trying to hide. She discovers the bag of bloody items.
Steve (Paul Adelstein) and Brent show up at the police station demanding to know why no arrests have been made since it’s been two weeks since they found Luke’s body. Steve and Brent think it was Isabella who did it, and the dad insults Sheriff Myer, warning that he’s going to hire a private investigator – someone who can get some real justice.
Steve is standing in her driveway wanting to talk to Megan just as Debbie exits the camper with the bag of bloody items. He knows the girls are hiding something, and he needs to know what it is. Debbie claims Megan’s not home, and he tells her she can’t hide Megan forever.
Megan tries to get ahold of Trevor, but he doesn’t answer.
Megan shows up where Isabella’s staying and confesses she knows about St. Barts and what happened to Lisa. Isabella wants to know how Megan found out, and she tells her about Trevor and how his visit last summer makes sense now. Isabella claims she tried to tell Megan about Lisa 100 different times, and Megan knows that’s a lie. Megan confronts her about lying since she arrived in Washington. Isabella insists Lisa jumped in the water on her own and she had nothing to do with it.
As Megan and Isabella talk, it appears the door has been left open and Parker (Lisa Yamada) is eavesdropping. In true Isabella fashion, she turns this around on Megan, telling her that this whole time she’s been there, she’s always had her back.
Megan says, “I think you went back to the cabin and you killed Luke – just like you killed Lisa.”
Parker is shocked to hear this.
Episode six ends with Parker going to see Sheriff Myer and telling him what she overheard.
Megan comes home to find her mom sitting in the living with the bag of bloody items. After Debbie says she got them from the camper, Megan wants to know if Isabella gave them to her. Her mom ignores that and wants to know if that is Luke’s blood. Megan wonders if her mom thinks she killed Luke. Debbie demands to know what happened.
”And what if you don’t like what you hear?” replies Megan.
After 10 incredible seasons, we’re down to the final three episodes of NBC’s The Blacklist. Season 10 episode 20, “Arthur Hudson,” airs on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT. The two-part series finale will air back-to-back on July 13.
Season’s 10 cast is led by James Spader as Raymond “Red” Reddington. Diego Klattenhoff stars as Donald Ressler, Hisham Tawfiq plays Dembe Zuma, Anya Banerjee is Siya Malik, Sami Bray is Agnes, and Harry Lennix stars as Harold Cooper.
