Eliza Coupe returns as Todd’s ex-girlfriend Veronica on CBS’s So Help Me Todd season one episode 14. Directed by Brad Silberling from a script by Jamie Pachino, episode 14 – “Against All Todds” – will air on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT.
Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden stars as Margaret Wright, Skylar Astin plays Todd Wright, and Tristen J. Winger is Lyle. Madeline Wise plays Allison, Inga Schlingmann is Susan, and Rosa Arredondo stars as Francey.
“Against All Todds” Plot: When Veronica appears at the law firm requesting a favor from Todd, he agrees to help but soon realizes she may be out for revenge. Also, Margaret is upset when she is taken off a high-stakes case.
Marcia Gay Harden and Skylar Astin star as razor-sharp, meticulous attorney Margaret Wright and Todd, her talented but scruffy, aimless son whom she hires as her law firm’s in-house investigator. As the black sheep of the well-heeled Wright family, Todd is a laidback, quick-thinking, excellent former private detective who fell on hard times after his flexible interpretation of the law got his license revoked. Margaret’s penchant for excellence and strict adherence to the law is at complete odds with Todd’s scrappy methods of finding his way through sticky situations: by the seat of his wrinkled pants.
When Todd inadvertently teams with his mother on a case, she’s surprised to find herself duly impressed by – and proud of – his crafty ability to sleuth out information with his charm and his wide-ranging tech savvy. At last, Margaret sees a way to put her son on a “suitable” path to living an adult, financially solvent life she approves of, and she asks him to join her firm. Todd agrees since it means getting his license back and once again doing the job he excels at and loves.
Mother and son working together is a big first step toward mending their fragile, dysfunctional relationship, and they may even come away with a better understanding of each other at this pivotal point in their lives. But whether Todd and Margaret will be able to accept each other for who they are is another case entirely.

The second season stars Paula Newsome as Maxine Roby, Marg Helgenberger as Catherine Willows, Matt Lauria as Joshua Folsom, and Mandeep Dhillon as Allie Rajan. Ariana Guerra plays Detective Serena Chavez, Lex Medlin is Beau Finado, and Jay Lee is Chris Park.
“Third Time’s the Charm” Plot: The CSIs investigate the mysterious death of a competitive eating contestant, and Chavez partners with Allie to prove where the mysterious silver ink notes have been coming from.

The nearly four-minute official trailer for Universal Pictures’ Fast X introduces Jason Momoa as the big bad that Dom (Vin Diesel) and his crew will be going up against. The trailer starts off being all about family (since that’s a running theme in the Fast & Furious franchise) but then Momoa’s new character Dante pops up and warns, “Dominic Toretto, you’re about to learn all about fear.”
Dante continues: “You built such a beautiful life filled with love and family. I never got that chance. You stole that from me. My future. My family. And now…I’m gonna break yours. Piece by piece.”
So, that’s in the trailer’s first minute. A quick flashback shows the crew taking out Dante’s father, followed by lots of over-the-top action sequences and Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty promising they will fight back.
The cast of the 10th Fast & Furious film also includes returning F&F stars Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, John Cena, Scott Eastwood, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron. Louis Leterrier (Clash of the Titans) directs and from a screenplay by Justin Lin, Zach Dean, and Dan Mazeau.
Neal H. Moritz, Vin Diesel, Justin Lin, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Samantha Vincent serve as producers. Executive producers include Joseph M. Caracciolo, Jr., David Cain, Chris Morgan, Amanda Lewis, and Mark Bomback.
Fast X races into theaters on May 19, 2023.
The Plot, Courtesy of Universal Pictures:
Fast X launches the final chapters of one of cinema’s most storied and popular global franchises, now in its third decade and still going strong with the same core cast and characters as when it began.
Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family have outsmarted, out-nerved, and outdriven every foe in their path. Now, they confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced: A terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past who’s fueled by blood revenge, and who is determined to shatter this family and destroy everything—and everyone—that Dom loves, forever.
In 2011’s Fast Five, Dom and his crew took out nefarious Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes and decapitated his empire on a bridge in Rio De Janeiro. What they didn’t know was that Reyes’ son, Dante (Momoa), witnessed it all and has spent the last 12 years masterminding a plan to make Dom pay the ultimate price.
Dante’s plot will scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London and from Portugal to Antarctica. New allies will be forged and old enemies will resurface. But everything changes when Dom discovers that his own 8-year-old son (Leo Abelo Perry) is the ultimate target of Dante’s vengeance.
The film also features an extraordinary new cast including Oscar winner Brie Larson as Tess, a rogue representative from the Agency; Alan Ritchson (Reacher) as Aimes, the new head of the Agency who doesn’t hold the same fondness for Dom’s crew as his predecessor, Mr. Nobody; Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad) as a Brazilian street racer with a powerful tie to Dom’s past; and legendary Oscar winner Rita Moreno as Dom and Mia’s Abuelita Toretto.
Channing Tatum and Salma Hayek Pinault in Warner Bros. Pictures musical comedy ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’ (Photo courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures)
Has the magic gone out of Mike? No, not at all. I realize from a quick glance at the film’s current rating on Rotten Tomatoes that I’m swimming against the tide when I call Magic Mike’s Last Dance a worthy end to the franchise. But it’s by far the film with the most heart. And for all you naysayers who watched the trailer and said there wasn’t any chemistry between Channing Tatum and Salma Hayek Pinault, prepare to eat some crow with a side dish of don’t judge a film by its trailers.
Magic Mike’s Last Dance glides in with a voiceover praising dance as a way of recognizing life’s important moments…or something of that nature. I was too distracted by the fact that the film had a voiceover that I may have spaced on the actual details. The voiceover – provided by a character we’ll meet later – explains that Mike owned a small furniture company in Miami that was forced to close its doors as a result of the pandemic.
Mike’s now adrift and full of unrealized dreams. Did he want to become a bartender? No, but his options were limited so that’s where we pick up his story.
Mike‘s wrapping up working at a fundraiser when the stunning, disgustingly wealthy woman (played by Oscar nominee Salma Hayek Pinault) hosting the shindig invites him to stick around. Maxandra Mendoza’s heard from a friend that he has a particular set of skills and wonders if he’d like to show them to her. Mike’s not in that line of work anymore and besides, he used to get $60,000 for a dance. What?! Whoa, that’s a bit ridiculous, isn’t it?
She’s willing to pay him $6,000 and Mike, who seconds earlier was a definite no, quickly becomes a definite yes.
Pelvic thrusts, sensuous swaggering, and the most acrobatic pull-ups outside of the Olympics follow. Max is hooked and offers Mike $60,000 if he travels with her to London. Mike’s social calendar is empty, so after a bit of hemming and hawing he agrees, although he has no idea what he’s supposed to do once they cross the pond.
Max is separated from her cheating media mogul husband and as part of their agreement, she’s taken over ownership of his family’s historic The Rattigan theatre. Mike’s $6,000 erotic dance woke up a passion inside Max that she never felt before, and now she wants to share that excitement with other women. To do so, she wants to stage a spectacular erotic version of Isabel Ascendant, a stale period piece currently hogging the theatre’s spotlights.
Isabel Ascendant is the story of a woman forced to choose between a loveless marriage and a social misfit, and Max wants to show that women can have it all by putting on a one-night-only strip show. The lead actor of Isabel, Hannah (Juliette Motamed), is all in on representing women who demand to be given agency and who will no longer be forced to be subservient to the wants and needs of men. Hannah’s evolution plays out on stage while surrounded by gorgeous nearly naked men.
The final film reunites Tatum with Magic Mike’s director Steven Soderbergh and Reid Carolin, who penned all three movies, and they brought in dancers from the London, Las Vegas, Berlin, and Australia Magic Mike Live stage shows. Bringing dancers so familiar with the Magic Mike vibe gives the dance numbers extra zing.
Additional supporting players include Jemilia George as Zadie Rattigan and Ayub Khan-Din as Victor. Zadie is Max’s teenage daughter who’s the voice of reason when all the adults around her are floundering. She’s also the voiceover who pipes in occasionally and provides a little necessary exposition. Victor is Max’s long-suffering righthand man whose scoffs and looks of disdain keep the household in check.
Channing Tatum’s come a long way since his strip club days, but he’s still got all the right moves. When Tatum takes the floor, he’s the real deal. And a decade after first ripping off his shirt and displaying his incredible physique as Magic Mike, Tatum’s honed his acting skills to the degree that he’s now capable of playing the quieter relationship moments just as effectively as the physically demanding dance routines.
Magic Mike’s Last Dance is more intimate than either of its predecessors, with the film concentrating on building the relationship between Channing Tatum’s Mike and Salma Hayek Pinault’s Max. There’s not much else to the plot, and the success of this final outing depends on whether you buy into Tatum and Hayek Pinault as a couple. Fortunately, Tatum and Hayek Pinault play incredibly well off each other. There’s a nice balance to the characters that allows Hayek Pinault and Tatum to transition back and forth between playful and sexy and uncertain and vulnerable. It also doesn’t hurt that Tatum and Hayek Pinault fully commit to this fictional world where dance can solve 99% of life’s problems.
I chose to allow the plot’s underlying grab bag of mixed – and at times weirdly misogynistic – messages to remain in the background. A Magic Mike film doesn’t need to preach or teach, it just needs to have enough well-choreographed dance numbers to make the dialogue-driven moments worth sitting through. This third and final film fulfills that requirement, dishing out impressive numbers including one that defies description. (It involves spectacular choreography while rain falls on the stage.)
Overanalyzing the underlying themes will send you down a slippery slope that doesn’t lead anywhere pleasant. If you toss those themes aside, then Magic Mike’s Last Dance is a sexy, fun-filled two hours of romance and dance.
It’s finally time for Thorfinn and Flower to have their first official date on CBS’s Ghosts season two episode 15, “A Date to Remember.” Directed by Richie Keen from a script by John Blickstead and Trey Kollmer, episode 15 is set to air on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 8:30pm ET/PT.
Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar lead the cast as Samantha and Jay, the living residents of the mansion. Playing the mansion’s resident ghosts are Brandon Scott Jones as Isaac, Richie Moriarty as Pete, Danielle Pinnock as Alberta, and Asher Grodman as Trevor. Román Zaragoza stars as Sasappis, Sheila Carrasco plays Flower, Rebecca Wisocky is Hetty, and Devan Chandler Long plays Thorfinn.
“A Date to Remember” Plot: Sam and Jay help Thorfinn create a perfect first date with Flower. Also, Hetty feels slighted by the ghosts’ new housemate, Nigel.
Ghosts is a single-camera comedy about Samantha and Jay, a cheerful freelance journalist and up-and-coming chef from the city, respectively, who threw both caution and money to the wind when they decide to convert a huge rundown country estate they inherited into a bed & breakfast – only to find it was inhabited by the many spirits of deceased residents who now call it home.
The departed souls are a close-knit, eclectic group that includes a saucy Prohibition-era lounge singer (Pinnock); a pompous 18th-century militiaman (Jones); a ‘60s hippie fond of hallucinogens (Carrasco); an overly upbeat ‘80s scout troop leader (Moriarty); a cod-obsessed Viking explorer from 1009 (Devon Chandler Long); a slick ‘90s finance bro (Grodman); a sarcastic and witty native from the 16th-century (Zaragoza); and a society woman and wife of a 19th-century robber baron who is Samantha’s ancestor (isocky), to name a few.
The opening of the B&B is a source of intrigue, anxiety, and curiosity among the spirits, but they’ll gladly put up with the commotion as long as they can continue to interact with a living inhabitant – Samantha.
Jacob Vargas, Lisette Olivera, and Jake Austin Walker in Disney+’s ‘National Treasure: Edge of History’ episode 10
The season one finale of Disney+’s National Treasure: Edge of History ties up all the treasure-hunting loose ends while dangling the possibility of where season two could go if the streaming service picks up the drama. Episode 10, “Treasure Protectors,” picks up the action right where episode nine ended, with Agent Hendricks (Armando Riesco) having just stabbed Agent Ross (Lyndon Smith) with a sword. We, the audience, now know he’s Salazar – the man we’ve heard about all season but whose identity has just been revealed.
When Billie (Catherine Zeta-Jones) questions Salazar about why he’s there, Rafael (Jacob Vargas) chimes in and reminds her that Salazar is the one who killed her brother. But, of course, Salazar claims Rafael is a liar.
After loading the boat, they set off to find the treasure.
Two armed men remain behind but when the gang arrives, they mistakenly believe there’s only one bad guy on guard. The second one sneaks up behind them with a gun and they’re corralled to the dock with the other armed man. One of Billie’s thugs is ready to shoot Tasha (Zuri Reed) but Oren (Antonio Cipriano) jumps in the way. Fortunately, before he can get a shot off Agent Ross – who’s injured but still alive – shoots both men.
Tasha and Oren take off with Agent Ross in Oren’s van. They don’t have any cell service and need an ambulance fast. Oren speeds like a bat out of hell, trying to get cell service to call 911 while Tasha’s in the back trying to comfort Agent Ross.
Ethan (Jordan Rodrigues) and Liam (Jake Austin Walker) decide to go after Jess. They find a boat but it doesn’t have an engine so they’re forced to row it.
Meanwhile, the other boat runs into heavy fog and Billie informs them the Wayfinder is showing them how to keep going. Jess (Lisette Olivera) tries to scare them by saying De Soto lost a lot of men to this “fog of death.” But Billie points out that’s not true – he lost men in battle.
When the boat gets stuck, Jess takes the opportunity to chastise Agent Hendricks/Salazar. She reminds him he’s an FBI agent and took an oath, so how could he steal treasure? Salazar lets her in on their real plan…they’re going to destroy the treasure.
“When secrets of the past get unburied, it rewrites history,” he says.
Liam and Ethan worry that they’re lost. They seem to be passing the same tree numerous times.
Finally, Oren gets enough of a signal to call for the police and an ambulance. He’s nowhere near a street name that he can provide them, so he does his best to give them a description. He then decides to keep driving to meet them.
The main party’s now on foot and spot skeletal remains. Billie wonders why people on their way to the treasure would turn on each other before getting their hands on the actual treasure. Rafael interrupts Billie’s train of thought to point out a coyote made of stone with two emeralds as eyes. (We have a flashback to Rafael telling Jess the coyotes mean it’s a trap).
Hector (Gabriel Rodriguez) gets greedy and tries to steal one of the emeralds. Some kind of mist shoots out directly in his face and he immediately begins to hallucinate. He thinks he’s being attacked, draws his weapon, and fires it at one of Billie’s men. Kacey (Breeda Wool) has no choice but to shoot Hector.
After that intense exchange, Billie realizes Kacey was shot in the leg and Jess and Rafael have escaped.
Jess and her dad find a statue and have to decide which way to go…left or right. They figure out left is correct.
Ethan and Liam find the two dead men and press on.
Armando Riesco, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Breeda Wool in Disney+’s ‘National Treasure: Edge of History’ episode 10
Billie, Kacey, and Salazar are trying to figure out which way to go and they fall for Jess leaving a bracelet behind on the right side.
Agent Ross’s phone rings and it’s Doctor Zeke (Tommy Savas). He manages to talk Tasha through a procedure to help Ross breathe. She’s going to have to stab Ross in the chest with something hollow. Tasha finds a metal straw that’ll do the trick. Tasha doesn’t overthink it and does as instructed. She stabs Ross and it works! Agent Ross can breathe without any difficulty.
Jess and Rafael make it to the treasure’s location but Jess acts without thinking and steps on something that causes a wooden cage to descend, leaving them trapped. They try with all their might to get out, but it won’t budge.
Given their current predicament, they have time for a heartfelt talk about the past. Rafael has deep regrets, and Jess takes some blame for their situation. Rafael brings up that his mother used to tell him stories about this treasure and how it was their family’s duty to protect it.
Lisette Olivera and Jacob Vargas in Disney+’s ‘National Treasure: Edge of History’ episode 10
Ethan and Liam to the rescue! They’ve found Jess and Rafael and create a lever system to lift the wooden cage. It works and both Jess and her father are free.
After running into another coyote and setting its traps off with a rock, Billie realizes Jess tricked them. They need to go back and take the fork on the left.
Agent Ross is loaded into an ambulance and Oren calls for a search team. Tasha and Oren then decide to join the search for Jess and head back out.
Liam updates Jess and her dad on how he figured out that Billie and Salazar are treasure destroyers. Ethan decides to go back to the docks to help lead the police to the correct spot.
Kacey’s forced to stop for a moment and asks for a second to rest since she was shot in the leg. Salazar responds by shooting her in the back, and Billie is devastated. Salazar insists Kacey was a liability and Billie recalls Rafael telling her Salazar called her brother the same thing – a liability – before he killed him.
Billie shoots him and proclaims, “I’m Salazar now!”
Jess, Liam, and Rafael discover a way inside to the treasure, but right before they enter Billie begins shooting at them. They stumble their way through the doors and manage to close them on Billie. The entrance to the treasure room’s a puzzle – and it’s a good thing Jess is an expert at puzzles.
Jeff gives her dad and Liam instructions on where to step to make it through without being shot at by arrows. After some tense moments, they make it through and the doors to the treasure room open.
As they take in all the beautiful treasure, we’re shown Billie trying her hand at the puzzle. She quickly realizes she may not make it.
After spotting a tapestry of Malinche, they realize Jess’s mom was right about everything. Suddenly there’s a blast through the door they just entered and they’re blown backward. Billie points her gun at Jess and blames her for Kacey’s death. Billie then picks up something left burning by the blast and is intent on setting the place on fire, starting with the Malinche tapestry.
While Billie is distracted, Jess grabs something and throws it at Billie’s legs, entangling them and causing her to fall. Ethan returns and joins in on knocking Billie back onto the ground. Liam’s able to get to the gun before Billie does.
Jess realizes there’s a heavy stone trapping her dad. She and Liam manage to get the stone off of him, and Jess tearfully tries to get her dad to wake up. She tells her dad that he’s mattered to her her whole life and he didn’t fail her. Rafael wakes up!
After some parting words as she’s being taken away by the police, Jess takes her necklace back from Billie.
It seems everyone is all giggles and smiles. Oren and Tasha are back together and Agent Ross is alive and well and now on a red carpet with Dr. Zeke at the National Museum.
As season one draws to a close, the gang’s taking in the exhibit when Liam shows up to inform them he was cleaning out his grandpa’s study and found an old cassette tape. There’s something on it that could lead to other treasures.

DeKnight took to Twitter to confirm he’s currently writing the pilot.
Spartacus aired for four seasons on the network, kicking off in 2010 with Spartacus: Blood and Sand starring Andy Whitfield in the title role. Tragically, Whitfield passed away in September 2011 of Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Liam McIntyre took over the role beginning in season two.
The franchise also included a six-episode prequel, Spartacus: Gods of the Area, that aired in 2011 and featured Manu Bennett, Dustin Clare, John Hannah, Peter Mensah, and Lucy Lawless.
According to Starz, the new Spartacus series will explore uncharted territory and new journeys of the original series’ iconic characters. Starz offered this short synopsis: “In the aftermath of the defeat of Spartacus and his rebel army, the drama will depict a new tale of treachery, deceit, and blood unfolding beneath the foreboding shadow of Rome.”
“It has been over a decade since Spartacus delighted international audiences and we are thrilled to reimagine and expand this gripping, action-packed drama for our viewers today,” stated Kathryn Busby, President, Original Programming, STARZ. “Spartacus has deeply invested fans who are eager for its return, and we look forward to working with Steven on this exciting next chapter.”
Starz’s announcement didn’t confirm if any of the original stars will reprise their roles. The announcement also didn’t indicate a targeted premiere date.
