When CBS’s So Help Me Todd returns from its three-week break, it’ll be with an episode that welcomes back Matthew Wilkas as Margaret’s oldest son. Directed by Alison LeRoi from a script by Nicole French, season one episode 12 is scheduled to air on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT.
Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden stars as Margaret Wright, Skylar Astin plays Todd Wright, and Tristen J. Winger is Lyle. Madeline Wise plays Allison, Inga Schlingmann is Susan, and Rosa Arredondo stars as Francey.
“Psilo-Sibling” Plot – Lawrence (Wilkas) and the governor seek Margaret’s help with a personal legal matter related to the governor’s sister, and while Margaret is ecstatic to be of assistance, Lawrence refuses to let Todd anywhere near the case.
Episode 12 guest stars include Lossen Chambers, Nancy Kerr, Nefetari Spencer, Donavon Stinson, Christian Sloan, Julie Lynn Mortensen, and Cynthia Loewen. Monique Helbig, James R. Baylis, Michasha Armstrong, and Paige Gibbs also guest star.
Marcia Gay Harden and Skylar Astin star as razor-sharp, meticulous attorney Margaret Wright and Todd, her talented but scruffy, aimless son whom she hires as her law firm’s in-house investigator. As the black sheep of the well-heeled Wright family, Todd is a laidback, quick-thinking, excellent former private detective who fell on hard times after his flexible interpretation of the law got his license revoked. Margaret’s penchant for excellence and strict adherence to the law is at complete odds with Todd’s scrappy methods of finding his way through sticky situations: by the seat of his wrinkled pants.
When Todd inadvertently teams with his mother on a case, she’s surprised to find herself duly impressed by – and proud of – his crafty ability to sleuth out information with his charm and his wide-ranging tech savvy. At last, Margaret sees a way to put her son on a “suitable” path to living an adult, financially solvent life she approves of, and she asks him to join her firm. Todd agrees since it means getting his license back and once again doing the job he excels at and loves.
Mother and son working together is a big first step toward mending their fragile, dysfunctional relationship, and they may even come away with a better understanding of each other at this pivotal point in their lives. But whether Todd and Margaret will be able to accept each other for who they are is another case entirely.
CBS’s Ghosts, which was just renewed for a third season, will return from a three-week break with an episode that finds Freddie (Sam and Jay’s new assistant) convinced the bed & breakfast is haunted. Season two episode 13, “Ghost Hunter,” will air on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 8:30pm ET/PT.
Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar lead the cast as Samantha and Jay, the living residents of the mansion. Playing the mansion’s resident ghosts are Brandon Scott Jones as Isaac, Richie Moriarty as Pete, Danielle Pinnock as Alberta, and Asher Grodman as Trevor. Román Zaragoza stars as Sasappis, Sheila Carrasco plays Flower, Rebecca Wisocky is Hetty, and Devan Chandler Long plays Thorfinn.
“Ghost Hunter” Plot: Sam and Jay’s assistant, Freddie (Mike Lane), purchases ghost-hunting equipment when suspicious activity leads him to theorize the B&B is haunted. Also, Sasappis risks losing his relationship with Jessica (Nichole Sakura) when Freddie sells his car.
Alex Hardcastle directed from a script by Rishi Chitkara.
Ghosts is a single-camera comedy about Samantha and Jay, a cheerful freelance journalist and up-and-coming chef from the city, respectively, who threw both caution and money to the wind when they decide to convert a huge rundown country estate they inherited into a bed & breakfast – only to find it was inhabited by the many spirits of deceased residents who now call it home.
The departed souls are a close-knit, eclectic group that includes a saucy Prohibition-era lounge singer (Pinnock); a pompous 18th-century militiaman (Jones); a ‘60s hippie fond of hallucinogens (Carrasco); an overly upbeat ‘80s scout troop leader (Moriarty); a cod-obsessed Viking explorer from 1009 (Devon Chandler Long); a slick ‘90s finance bro (Grodman); a sarcastic and witty native from the 16th-century (Zaragoza); and a society woman and wife of a 19th-century robber baron who is Samantha’s ancestor (isocky), to name a few.
The opening of the B&B is a source of intrigue, anxiety, and curiosity among the spirits, but they’ll gladly put up with the commotion as long as they can continue to interact with a living inhabitant – Samantha.
Oscar winner Julianne Moore (Still Alice) and Emmy nominee Sebastian Stan (Pam & Tommy) target a billionaire businessman in the trailer for the dramatic thriller Sharper. Idris Elba stares into the camera as a voiceover says “Something’s coming…” in the 20-second teaser for Luther: The Fallen Sun. The teaser gives nothing away while confirming the film, a continuation of the critically acclaimed crime series, will open in select theaters in February 2023.
Following its theatrical release on February 24th, Luther: The Fallen Sun will be available to stream on Netflix on March 10th.
In an interview with Netflix’s Tudum, Idris Elba said he wanted the film to amplify what they’ve done on the show. He also discussed where we pick up with Luther as the movie begins.
“He’s done so much to bend the law in order to catch the bad guys that he’s ended up in jail,” explained Elba. “That’s where we start the story. This old case that didn’t really ever get solved creeps up back into his life. And John can’t help but find a way to get involved. This bad guy is out there, and he has to go out and get him.”
Luther: The Fallen Sun stars Elba, Dermot Crowley reprising his role as Martin Schenk, two-time Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo (Harriet), and Emmy nominee Andy Serkis (Little Dorrit). Emmy nominee Jamie Payne (The Alienist) directs from a screenplay by Luther series creator Neil Cross. Elba, Cross, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and David Ready produce. Dan Finlay, Brendan Ferguson, Miki Emmerich, Kris Thykier, and Priscilla Parish serve as executive producers.

In Luther: The Fallen Sun — an epic continuation of the award-winning television saga reimagined for film — a gruesome serial killer is terrorizing London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther (Elba) sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary.

But Davis did dive back into the world of Teen Wolf for Paramount+ with Teen Wolf: The Movie, also premiering on January 26, 2023.
Gellar, Jason Ensler, Christian Taylor, and Capital Arts’ Joe Genier, Mike Elliott, and Karen Gorodetzky executive produce. The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios.

Wounded in the chaos, the boy and girl are inexplicably drawn to each other and to two other teenagers who were adopted 16 years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire.
As the full moon rises, all four teens come together to unravel the secret that connects them – the bite and blood of a werewolf.

From the opening of the Woodstone B&B to epic Halloween and Christmas episodes, we have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our GHOSTS even better. The Chicago Med Season 8 Plot, Courtesy of NBC:
Dr. Will Halstead (Gehlfuss) fights to support his patients in the face of an extreme medical supply chain shortage. Dr. Daniel Charles (Platt) remains the Sherlock Holmes of psychiatry. Sharon Goodwin (Merkerson), the venerable head of the city’s largest hospital, is under intense fiscal scrutiny to preserve the bottom line while continuing to ensure that all patients receive nothing short of quality care and compassion. She is given the unimaginable role of final decision maker for who will receive medical supplies and care when materials are scarce.
Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee), a former Navy flight surgeon and chief of the E.D., turns his focus inward and embarks on a journey of self-discovery after recovering from being shot by a former patient. Now it’s up to the blunt but talented Dr. Dean Archer (Weber) to show what he’s made of as he steps into the role of permanent chief at the helm of Chicago’s trusted and busiest ER while also reconnecting with a family member after over a decade of estrangement.
Maggie Lockwood (Barrett), the charge nurse and eyes, ears, and brain of the ER, is skilled and confident but finds herself dealing with profound family issues of her own. Ace surgeon Dr. Crockett Marcel (Rains), the New Orleans-raised surgeon with a breezy manner, juggles the relentless work of being an ER surgeon and his new role on the transplant team. Rounding out the group is Dr. Hannah Asher (Schram), an experienced attending whose fresh start at Gaffney Medical finds her in the center’s new emergency OB/GYN service.

Lisette Olivera in ‘National Treasure: Edge of History’ episode 6 (Disney/Brian Roedel)
We’re halfway through the first season of National Treasure: Edge of History and the action is really heating up. Episode six, “Frenemies,” picks up right where episode five ended as Jess (Lisette Olivera) hops into a car with Billie (Catherine Zeta-Jones) to avoid the police. Billie claims she knew Rafael (Jess’s dad) and, of course, that piques Jess’s interest.
Billie shows her a medallion – the same one that Jess has – and claims to not only be a daughter of the Plumed Serpent but also insists they’re on the same side.
After Jess texts her friends to assure them she’s fine, she agrees to go to dinner with Billie. Billie shows Jess the medallion again and shows her a picture of her father, Rafael, with another man. Billie explains that the man in the photo is her brother Sebastian, and that her brother was murdered by the same man who killed Jess’s dad – Salazar.
Billie suggests that they work together to prove Jess’s mom and dad were right about the treasure. “Otherwise, your father and my brother died for nothing,” adds Billie.
It appears Jess believes everyone blindly – even Billie – and reveals Liam isn’t in this for the treasure but for the money. Jess says Liam offered to steal the journal for Billie, implying Liam has been working for her.
They arrive at Billie’s evil lair, and after being introduced to Kacey (Breeda Wool) and Dario (Darri Ingolfsson), Jess gets to work explaining that not all the journal entries were made by Lewis. Clarke took over for a while and wasn’t a fan of journaling.
Jess can’t stop spilling everything she knows and reveals that Clarke passed the journal along to Sacagawea and York. She figures out that “the bend” really means the strap of the journal and that it turns out to be a broken word puzzle. There are colored strings on the strap: blue, green, and white which were commonly used by Sacagawea’s tribe.
After pulling the strap through holes it spells out “Alamo Well.” That’s where the box is hidden!
Jess notices that Billie has another one of the boxes in addition to the one she gave her. Billie claims Liam sold it to her, but Jess says Liam told her it was lost when his dad died.
Jess returns home and picks a fight with Tasha (Zuri Reed) about the scene she caused at the Governor’s Ball. Tasha tells Jess she’s tired of bailing her out and she’s on her own now.
Zuri Reed and Antonio Cipriano in ‘National Treasure: Edge of History’ episode 6 (Disney/Brian Roedel)
Upset, Tasha heads over to Ethan and Oren’s house, and Oren (Antonio Cipriano) compares Jess and Tasha’s friendship to Steve (Captain America) and Bucky. Basically, he’s implying Jess and Tasha will have each other’s backs forever.
The following day, Oren informs Ethan (Jordan Rodrigues) that Jess and Tasha had a fight and Ethan pays Jess a visit. They recap the events at the Governor’s Ball, and Jess decides to look for Liam.
Instead of finding Liam at his house, Jess is grabbed from behind by Salazar. “I won’t let you find the treasure!” he growls, and Kacey magically shows up and demands that Salazar let Jess go. Surprisingly, he does and then takes off.
Kacey claims that wasn’t Salazar, but actually just someone who works for him. Jess shows her the secret clue room and wants to know if Kacey’s following her for Billie. Kacey attempts to paint Billie as a “good guy,” and once again Jess appears to be falling for it. (For such a smart person, Jess is surprisingly naive.)
Apparently, Kacey is right and that man wasn’t Salazar. The man’s name is Maddox (Joseph D. Reitman) and he’s one of Salazar’s henchmen. Billie warns Jess that they have to move fast now because if Maddox is there, Salazar isn’t far behind.
Meanwhile, Agent Ross (Lyndon Smith) goes over all of her findings with Dr. Zeke Hudson (Tommy Savas). It seems she’s figured quite a lot out and now believes that Jess was telling the truth. Zeke does a little flirting, and Agent Ross changes the subject. She asks what else he found out about the orange dye on Sadusky’s hand, and he suggests things will go quicker if she calls some of her old contacts in DC. Agent Ross doesn’t think that’s possible and confesses she made a bad arrest.
Zeke tries giving her the old “pick yourself up and dust yourself off” pep talk. Since they’re opening up to each other, Zeke admits there’s a reason he’s a coroner and not a surgeon. Apparently, someone died under his care but he doesn’t go into detail.
Elsewhere, Jess, Billie, and Kacey plan on staking out the Alamo and go over their game plan.
Jess leaves a note for Tasha at home while Ethan goes to see Meena (Salena Qureshi) at the hospital where she works. Ethan tries to make up with her, but they realize things just aren’t going to work for them.
While Ethan’s still at the hospital, he catches a glimpse of the suit Liam was wearing at the Governor’s Ball. It has blood on it and then he spots Liam in a hospital bed. (Quick! Everyone act shocked that Billie lied!)
Liam (Jake Austin Walker) wakes up and fills Ethan in on everything that happened. He spotted Billie at the ball so he took the journal and ran. But when he got outside, Kacey jumped him and dumped him in the river.
Lisette Olivera, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Breeda Wool in ‘National Treasure: Edge of History’ episode 6 (Disney/Brian Roedel)
Jess and Billie have a heartfelt talk on the plane ride to the Alamo, and Billie claims she was good friends with Jess’s mom. Kacey cuts off their conversation to go over their plan, again, to get the box during a reenactment of the Alamo.
Jess, Billie, and Kacey dress up and blend in as part of the reenactment. When a guard tries to stop them, Kacey acts fast and tranquilizes him. Billie assures Jess it will only last a short while.
Tasha and Oren followed Jess to the Alamo because, as it turns out, Jess isn’t so naïve after all.
Jess claims the box isn’t in the well and Billie insists on having a look for herself. Jess knew she’d do that and shuts the grate on her before taking off. But, unfortunately, Billie has everyone working for her at the Alamo. Kacey gives them all a command via her earpiece and they grab Jess.
Tasha gets out of the van to help Jess, and after a short but intense fight with Kacey, Tasha’s able to mace her and escape with Jess. Tasha then asks for everyone’s phones and places them in a bag that blocks all signals so Billie can’t track them.
Jess comes clean and tells Tasha that she picked a fight with her on purpose. She’s worried about dragging Tasha down with her.
During a pit stop, Jess tells them she figured out that Billie was lying because the photo she showed Jess was clearly photoshopped. Jess also tested her on other things, and Billie failed miserably. Jess confirms the third box is at Alamo, but not The Alamo. It’s actually in the Mexican town of Viesca that used to be called Alamo.
Billie gets arrested and Kacey calls Peter’s former nurse, Myles (Dustin Ingram), for help. In a new twist, it turns out Myles is helping Billie, and he shows up at the Bureau to see Agent Ross. Shockingly, he accuses Jess of murdering Peter Sadusky and hands Agent Ross a USB drive.
The Scooby gang receives bad news. In the 1920s a bank was built over the well in Viesca, Mexico. But that’s not the only bad news for our new favorite treasure hunters. Someone else already broke into the bank and blew a hole in the ground. Guess who? Yes, it was Salazar!
Jess thinks she needs to go see Salazar and tells Tasha and Oren that according to Billie it was Salazar that killed her dad. Tasha is dumbfounded and can’t understand why Jess believes Billie the Catfish Queen.
Episode six ends with Oren pointing out that if Jess goes to Mexico, then she can never come back. “My bags are already packed,” says Jess.

All American ranks as the top linear series on The CW among adults 18-49. The network also reports it has the largest total audience across all platforms.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration with showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, the entire creative team and the incredible cast for another season of captivating family drama.”
