A Look Back at Stranger Things, Courtesy of Netflix:

A love letter to the ‘80s classic genre films that captivated a generation, Stranger Things is a thrilling drama set in the seemingly normal Midwestern town of Hawkins, Indiana. After a boy vanishes into thin air, his close-knit group of friends and family search for answers and are pulled into a high-stakes and deadly series of events. Beneath the surface of their ordinary town lurks an extraordinary supernatural mystery, along with top-secret government experiments and a dangerous gateway that connects our world to a powerful yet sinister realm. Friendships will be tested and lives will be altered as what they discover will change Hawkins and possibly the world — forever.

Stranger Things 2: It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.

Stranger Things 3: It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.

Coldplay and BTS Unveil “My Universe” Music Video

What happens when global superstars team up? They come out with a smash-hit song. British mega-stars Coldplay have teamed up with Grammy-nominated K-pop group BTS to release “My Universe,” the latest single off their highly anticipated album Music of The Spheres out October 15, 2021. The song, which features all seven BTS members, is sung in English and Korean.

“My Universe” is already breaking records in South Korea and on iTunes. The single’s become the fastest song to hit number one on Melon (South Korea’s biggest music subscription service) since the chart was formed. “My Universe” has also hit number one in 93 countries – and counting – on iTunes.

Coldplay’s lyric music video for the single has already garnered 14+ million views in just under 16 hours of release.

Front man Chris Martin recently appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show where he sang “My Universe” while playing the acoustic guitar. (Martin sang both the English and Korean parts.) During the interview, Martin talked about traveling to South Korea to work with BTS.

“We thought it would be good to sing this with BTS because maybe we’re not supposed to be together, and it turned out to be one of the most fun things ever. I went to Korea to be with them. It’s been amazing,” said Martin.

Making his promotional rounds, Martin told Apple Music, “They are really friends and in it together. With any great boyband there is just something beyond the being put togetherness, a natural chemistry. They are just people I like.”

The two groups recently met up while BTS was visiting New York for their UN duties. BTS and Coldplay got together at the famous Apollo Theater where Coldplay performed as part of SiriusXM and Pandora’s Small Stage Series. Both groups took to social media to post pictures of their time together. Later, BTS’ leader, RM, tweeted a video featuring he and Chris Martin in the studio together singing “My Universe.” BTS’ Jin tweeted a photo with Chris Martin who gifted Jin his guitar after Jin revealed he thought it was cool.

Both Coldplay and BTS will be performing at Global Citizen Live, a 24-hour event taking place on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Coldplay will be performing at the famous Central Park and BTS will be performing in Seoul, South Korea. Find information on where to watch the festivities at Globalcitizen.org.

Outlander’s Graham McTavish Joins ‘Game of Thrones’ Prequel ‘House of the Dragon’

House of the DragonHBO’s Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon has added Outlander‘s Graham McTavish to its season one cast. Additionally, Ryan Corr, Jefferson Hall, David Horovitch, Matthew Needham, Bill Paterson, and Gavin Spokes have joined the cast of the prequel which is scheduled to premiere in 2022.

House of the Dragon is based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood and focuses on the House Targaryen 200 years before the events in Game of Thrones unfolded. Martin and Ryan Condal (Colony) co-created the series, with Condal and Emmy Award winner Miguel Sapochnik serving as showrunners. Martin, Condal, Sapochnik, Vince Gerardis, Sara Lee Hess, and Ron Schmidt executive produce.

House of the Dragon Cast and Characters, Courtesy of HBO:

Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen. Viserys was chosen by the lords of Westeros to succeed the Old King, Jaehaerys Targaryen, at the Great Council at Harrenhal. A warm, kind, and decent man, Viserys only wishes to carry forward his grandfather’s legacy, but as we’ve learned from Game of Thrones, good men do not necessarily make for great kings.

Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower. She’s the daughter of Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King, and the most comely woman in the Seven Kingdoms. She was raised in the Red Keep, close to the king and his innermost circle; she possesses both a courtly grace and a keen political acumen.

Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. The king’s first-born child. She is of pure Valyrian blood, and she is a dragonrider. Many would say that Rhaenyra was born with everything… but she was not born a man.

Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen. The younger brother of King Viserys and heir to the throne, Daemon is a peerless warrior and a dragonrider who possesses the true blood of the dragon. But it is said that whenever a Targaryen is born, the gods toss a coin in the air…

Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon aka “The Sea Snake.” The lord of House Velaryon, a Valyrian bloodline as old as House Targaryen, “The Sea Snake,” is the most famed nautical adventurer in the history of Westeros. He built his house into a powerful seat that is even richer than the Lannisters and that claims the largest navy in the world.

Eve Best as Princess Rhaenys Velaryon. A dragonrider and wife to Lord Corlys Velaryon, “The Queen Who Never Was” was passed over as heir to the throne at the Great Council because the realm favored her cousin, Viserys, simply for being male.

Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King, who loyally and faithfully serves both his king and his realm. As the Hand sees it, the greatest threat to the realm is the king’s brother, Daemon, and his position as heir to the throne.

Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria. She came to Westeros with nothing, sold more times than she can recall, and could have wilted…but instead she rose to become the most trusted – and most unlikely – ally of Prince Daemon Targaryen, the heir to the throne.

Fabien Frankel as Ser Criston Cole. Of Dornish descent, Ser Criston is the common-born son of the steward to the Lord of Blackhaven. He has no claim to land or titles; all he has to his name is his honor and his preternatural skill with a sword.

Milly Alcock as Young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. She’s the king’s first-born child, of pure Valyrian blood, and she is a dragonrider. Many would say that Rhaenyra was born with everything…but she was not born a man.

Emily Carey will play Young Alicent Hightower, the daughter of Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King, and the most comely woman in the Seven Kingdoms. Alicent was raised in the Red Keep, close to the king and his innermost circle; she possesses both a courtly grace and a keen political acumen.

Ryan Corr as Ser Harwin ‘Breakbones’ Strong. Harwin is said to be the strongest man in the Seven Kingdoms. Ser Harwin is the eldest son to Master of Laws Lyonel Strong and heir to Harrenhal.

Jefferson Hall is Lord Jason Lannister, the Lord of Casterly Rock and twin to Ser Tyland Lannister. He also. plays Tyland Lannister, a crafty and calculating politician, twin to Lord Jason Lannister.

David Horovitch as Grand Maester Mellos. He’s a voice of reason and trusted advisor to King Viserys.

Graham McTavish as Ser Harrold Westerling. Ser Harrold has served in the Kingsguard since the days of King Jaehaerys; he is a paragon of chivalry and honor.

Matthew Needham as Larys Strong. The younger son of Master of Laws Lyonel Strong, he’s brought to court by his father.

Bill Paterson plays Lord Lyman Beesbury, the Lord of Honeyholt and Master of Coin on King Viserys’s small council.

Gavin Spokes is Lord Lyonel Strong. He’s Master of Laws to King Viserys and Lord of Harrenhal.

‘Teen Wolf’ Movie with Original Cast in the Works at Paramount+

Teen Wolf lives on with an original movie set up at Paramount+. Series creator Jeff Davis is on board to write and executive produce the film, with members of the original cast in talks to reunite for the follow-up to the series that ended four years ago today.

The film will reunite Jeff Davis with MTV Entertainment Studios. Davis has also set up a new Wolf Pack series, based on the books by Edo van Belkom, which he’ll guide as showrunner and writer. In addition, he’ll be keeping busy as the showrunner and pilot director of Paramount+’s live-action Aeon Flux reboot.

Paramount+’s Teen Wolf announcement confirmed the series’ 100-episode run will be available on the streaming service in December.

Teen Wolf premiered on MTV in June 2011 and ended its six seasons on September 24, 2017. The cast included Tyler Posey as Scott McCall, Holland Roden as Lydia Martin, Dylan O’Brien as Stiles, JR Bourne as Chris Argent, and Tyler Hoechlin as Derek. MTV Entertainment and Paramount+ released the following details on Teen Wolf the movie, Wolf Pack, and Aeon Flux:

TEEN WOLF MOVIE: A full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a Werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager yet still an Alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.

WOLF PACK: Based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, WOLF PACK follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and drives it to attack a highway traffic jam beneath the burning hills. Wounded in the chaos, the boy and girl are inexplicably drawn to each other and to two other teenagers who were adopted sixteen years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire. As the full moon rises, all four teens come together to unravel the secret that connects them – the bite and blood of a werewolf.

AEON FLUX: Credited for laying the groundwork as one of the first anime female superheroes, AEON FLUX returns as a reimagined live-action series. Set in a post-apocalyptic near future where countries no longer exist, reduced to Spartan like city-states locked in perpetual war, where children are turned into lethal soldiers and every citizen carries a gun, one young woman rises up to rebel against her Orwellian government as she becomes the hero known as AEON FLUX. Gale Anne Hurd serves as Executive Producer for Valhalla Entertainment.

‘The Orville’ Season 3 Gets a March 2022 Premiere Date on Hulu

The much-anticipated third season of Seth MacFarlane’s The Orville will finally arrive exclusively on Hulu on March 10, 2022. The Orville: New Horizons was announced by Hulu and MacFarlane back in 2019, with MacFarlane breaking the news about the move to Hulu during the San Diego Comic-Con.

The Orville has been a labor of love for me, and there are two companies which have supported that vision in a big way: 20th Century Fox Television, where I’ve had a deal since the start of my career, and FOX Broadcasting Company, now FOX Entertainment, which has been my broadcast home for over 20 years. My friends at the network understood what I was trying to do with this series, and they’ve done a spectacular job of marketing, launching and programming it for these past two seasons. But as the show has evolved and become more ambitious production-wise, I determined that I would not be able to deliver episodes until 2020, which would be challenging for the network. So we began to discuss how best to support the third season in a way that worked for the show.

It’s exactly this kind of willingness to accommodate a show’s creative needs that’s made me want to stick around for so long. I am hugely indebted to Charlie Collier and FOX Entertainment for their generosity and look forward to developing future projects there. And to my new friends at Hulu, I look forward to our new partnership exploring the galaxy together,” stated MacFarlane back in 2019.

MacFarlane created the series, writes, executive produces, and stars in the sci-fi comedy. The season three cast also includes Adrianne Palicki, Penny Johnson Jerald, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, J. Lee, Mark Jackson, Chad L. Coleman, Jessica Szohr, and Anne Winters.

The Orville: New Horizons is a 20th Television and Fuzzy Door production. Brannon Braga, David A. Goodman, Jon Cassar, Jason Clark, and Howard Griffith serve as executive producers.

The Plot, Courtesy of Hulu:

Seth MacFarlane’s epic space adventure series The Orville returns exclusively as a Hulu original series. Set 400 years in the future, The Orville: New Horizons finds the crew of the U.S.S. Orville continuing their mission of exploration, as they navigate both the mysteries of the universe and the complexities of their own interpersonal relationships.
