‘FBI: Most Wanted’ Season 3 Episode 2 Photos, Plot and Cast

The third season of CBS’s FBI: Most Wanted continues with episode two, “Patriots.” Directed by Peter Stebbings from a script by Richard Sweren, episode two will air on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT.

Season three’s premiere marked the end of Kellan Lutz as series regular Special Agent Kenny Crosby on FBI: Most Wanted. Lutz made the decision to leave the series in order to spend time in Los Angeles closer to relatives, posting the following message to fans on social media explaining his decision:

“Wow. What a night! And yes, you saw that correctly, Crosby won’t be chasing down any bad guys for a little while.

2020 was a lot for everyone to say the least. For me it started with losing my first daughter, then nearly my wife, and both grandfathers among other things, all in the middle of a global pandemic on the opposite side of the country from my family, friends, and entire support system.

If 2020 taught me anything it’s how important family truly is. After a lot of prayer and reflection I made the difficult decision to move my growing family back to CA so our daughter could grow up with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, just a short drive away.

CBS, Dick Wolf, UniversalTV, and the entire FBI: Most Wanted team have been beyond supportive, understanding, and heard me out as I worked through feelings and emotions in regards to this decision. One thing that I kept hearing over and over when I booked this job was how much of a family Dick Wolf shows are, and that couldn’t be more accurate. They’ve supported me in the lows and celebrated with me in the highs and I will forever be grateful for everything they’ve done for me.

I will miss the show, my costars, production, and most importantly my character Kenny Crosby, who is named after one of the grandfathers I lost earlier this year, but I have so much peace knowing I made the right decision for my family.

I hope Crosby is able to pop in and out here and there in the future but for now-

Crosby-over and out.

Much love to all you amazing fans!!!!”

The season three cast includes Julian McMahon as Supervisory Special Agent Jess LaCroix, Alexa Davalos as Special Agent Kristin Gaines, YaYa Gosselin as Natalia “Tali” LaCroix, and Roxy Sternberg as Special Agent Sheryll Barnes. Keisha Castle-Hughes plays Special Agent Hana Gibson and Miguel Gomez is Special Agent Ivan Ortiz.

Episode two’s guest cast includes Scott Deckert, Sarah Hunt, Eli Bridges, Tom O’Keefe, Jeffery Benson, and PJ Adzima.

“Patriots” Plot: New Fugitive Task Force member Kristin Gaines joins Jess and the team, as they head to D.C. to find a dangerous fugitive from the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

FBI: Most Wanted Series Description, Courtesy of CBS:

From Emmy Award winner Dick Wolf and the team behind FBI and the Law & Order brand, FBI: Most Wanted is a high-stakes drama that focuses on the Fugitive Task Force, an elite unit that relentlessly pursues and captures the notorious criminals on the Bureau’s Most Wanted list.

Led by Supervisory Special Agent Jess LaCroix, an expert tracker and profiler with a complicated past, the team includes: Special Agent Sheryll Barnes, a former NYPD detective and forensics expert who is raising one child with her wife with another on the way; Special Agent Hana Gibson, a gifted millennial computer whiz with a sharp wit and mad hacking skills; and Special Agent Kenny Crosby, a young Army vet and brash Oklahoma farm boy who specializes in weapons and tactics; Special Agent Ivan Ortiz, a transplant from Los Angeles with a street cop’s instincts and a gift for undercover work; and their newest member, Special Agent Kristin Gaines, a Navy veteran who became a star in the FBI’s Miami Field Office as a result of her dogged pursuit of cold cases.

Always in the field and always on the run, FBI: Most Wanted is a weekly adrenaline shot about the thrill of the chase.

Review: ‘I’m Your Man’ Starring Dan Stevens and Maren Eggert

I'm Your Man
Maren Eggert and Dan Stevens star in Bleecker Street’s ‘I’m Your Man’

Should robots be given the same rights as humans? Should they be allowed to marry, to hold down a job, or own a home? At first blush, the answer to each of these questions is obviously no. However, by the end of the clever sci-fi romantic dramedy I’m Your Man the answers don’t seem quite as black and white as they did prior to being introduced to Tom, an incredibly handsome synthetic humanoid who oozes charm and can fulfill his partner’s every need (in and out of bed).

Dan Stevens (Legion, Downton Abbey) is perfectly cast as Tom, a robot designed to fill the role of a romantic partner and intellectual equal of one specific individual. The cutting-edge technology that created Tom is in its testing stage, and he’s been programmed to satisfy Alma (Maren Eggert), a research scientist who’s agreed to be part of the study in order to secure funding for her work.

Alma’s tasked with allowing Tom to live in her home for a three-week period at the end of which she’ll submit findings to the company who created Tom. Her feedback will help assess the robot’s programming as well as answer key ethical questions including whether robot partners should have a place in society.

Alma questions her decision to be a part of the study from the get-go. She’s uneasy in Tom’s presence and refuses to view him as anything other than a robot who’s programmed to please her. Despite the fact he can engage in stimulating conversations concerning her research on ancient relics, Tom’s very existence grates on Alma’s nerves. He’s too responsive to her needs and far too enthusiastic about taking on domestic duties, which sets Alma on edge.

Yet even with the odds so stacked against him, Tom remains undeterred and continues to attempt to win Alma over. He quickly adjusts his programming according to her likes and dislikes; there will be no critiquing her driving, romantic baths are a turn off, and a messy apartment makes Alma happy while a clean one upsets her.

Tom tweaks his actions to better fill voids in Alma’s life she doesn’t necessarily recognize exist. His adjustments gradually cause the frosty Alma to warm up to the idea of sharing her life with this attractive android.

Dan Stevens does a fabulous job of playing a robot created to be someone’s romantic ideal. Stevens conveys an otherworldly “other” vibe without ever pushing it too far. Tom needs to fit in. This mechanical lover/companion has to be accepted by general society as just another ordinary human being, which means Stevens has to hit a very small sweet spot in making him seem made of flesh and blood but also not a living, breathing man.

Alma goes from standoffish and skeptical to protective and caring over the course of her time with Tom, and Maren Eggert’s multi-layered performance allows us to feel what it would be like to participate in this bizarre experiment. Tom’s incapable of feeling empathy, and watching Eggert portray Alma’s acceptance of the limitations of this situation is fascinating.

Writer/director Maria Schrader’s I’m Your Man is a kind of edgy romantic comedy complete with a twisted take on a meet-cute. The humor comes mostly from Alma’s initial determination to not buy into the concept of a robot as a partner before slowly evolving into acceptance of his presence in her life by letting her heart overrule her head.

There are deep, thought-provoking questions at the heart of I’m Your Man, but it’s also possible to just enjoy this charming genre-bending film on a purely surface level thanks in large part to the compelling lead performances.

Netflix Announces ‘Tiger King 2’ and 4 Additional True Crime Documentaries

Netflix officially confirmed Tiger King 2 will premiere on the streaming service later this year. The Tiger King docuseries, directed by Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin, kept 64+ million viewers busy binge-watching during the Covid-19 pandemic quarantine in 2020.

In addition to Tiger King 2, Netflix is set to premiere true crime documentaries The Tinder Swindler and Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King as well as the docuseries The Puppet Master: Hunting the Ultimate Conan and Bad Vegan in 2022.

“Stories about real crimes have captivated audiences since the dawn of media, from the old days of town criers and tabloids to today’s podcasts and social media. As we’ve seen since our Emmy Award-winning series Making A Murderer first pierced the culture in 2015, documentaries can also meet that curiosity by immersing viewers in a true story to dissect its complexities and make sense of the unexpected,” stated Adam Del Deo, VP of Documentary Series and Lisa Nishimura, VP of Independent and Documentary Film at Netflix.

Their statement continued: “Now as we explore the spectrum of true crime, one particularly riveting area is that of cons, scams, and cautionary tales. For example, earlier this year our series Heist revealed how ordinary people almost got away with extraordinary cons, This Is A Robbery examined a still-unsolved art theft, and Cocaine Cowboys: Kings of Miami chronicled the rise and fall of drug kingpins.

Whether you want to dive into the psyche of a con artist, empathize with the victims of a scam, or piece together the puzzle of an investigation, these wild stories are often full of surprising twists and unusual perspectives.”

Season One Description, Courtesy of CBS:

The Fly Team’s Special Agent Scott Forrester, their accomplished and dedicated leader, puts his missions ahead of his personal life and is rarely seen without the team’s “secret weapon” – their trusty Schutzhund dog, Tank. Second in command is Special Agent Jamie Kellett, not afraid to tussle – in an alley or courtroom – and her extensive network of informants is a powerful resource. Special Agent Andre Raines shines in the field and makes good use of his accounting background in tracking criminal enterprises’ moving money; and the group’s newest member is Special Agent Cameron Vo, a competitive West Point grad who excels at interrogation and strategy.

A key part of the mix is the unflappable Europol Agent Katrin Jaeger, a multilinguistic liaison between the FBI Fly Team and each host country they inhabit. Always at the scene where American interests are at risk, FBI: International is a globe-trotting depiction of law enforcement overseas.

‘The Resident’ Season 5 Episode 2 Photos, Plot and Cast

The team race to figure out what’s wrong with Devon on Fox’s The Resident season five episode two. “No Good Deed” will air on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 8pm ET/PT.

Returning cast members include Matt Czuchry as Dr. Conrad Hawkins, Malcolm-Jamal Warner as Dr. AJ Austin, Bruce Greenwood as Dr. Randolph Bell, Jane Leeves as Dr. Kit Voss, and Manish Dayal is Dr. Devon Pravesh. Jessica Lucas plays Dr. Billie Sutton, Anuja Joshi is Dr. Leela Devi, and Miles Fowler is Trevor.

“No Good Deed” Plot: When one of the doctors is found unconscious in an elevator at Chastain, the staff frantically retraces his steps to figure out the cause. Billie is faced with a personal conflict when she comes face-to-face with the secret she has been hiding all these years. Meanwhile, Bell helps Kit make a decision about a new neurosurgeon joining the team at Chastain.

The Season 5 Plot, Courtesy of Fox:

Entering its fifth season, The Resident continues to shine a light on the daily heroism of our health care workers. The provocative medical drama follows the doctors and nurses at Chastain Memorial Hospital as they face personal and professional challenges and fight for their patients’ health.

Season four saw a multitude of highs and lows as the heroes at Chastain struggled to overcome the impossible, including the unprecedented and devastating Covid-19 pandemic. Now, in a propulsive and emotional season five, the ante is upped, as the doctors continue to save patients and fight corruption in the healthcare system, this time with a partner. The alliance with Big Pharma that found a cure for sickle cell disease last season proves in season five to be a very sharp double-edged sword.

The season kicks off when a mysterious ransomware attack threatens the hospital, and DR. DEVON PRAVESH (Dayal) and Chastain’s recently appointed CEO, DR. KIT VOSS (Leeves), must make high-stakes, split-second decisions with lives in the balance. Meanwhile, DR. CONRAD HAWKINS (Czuchry) and NURSE PRACTITIONER NICOLETTE NEVIN’s (Emily VanCamp) attempts to navigate parenthood, marriage and work-life balance take a shocking turn when Conrad is forced to make a life-changing choice that will alter the course of their family forever.

After the unwanted arrival of DR. BILLIE SUTTON’s (Lucas) biological son, she is forced to confront her past head-on in hopes of healing. Luckily, she’ll have help with the emergence of a new friendship – and rivalry – with DR. AJ AUSTIN (Malcolm-Jamal Warner), who unknowingly takes an interest in Billie’s son, TREVOR (Fowler). Elsewhere, a wrench is thrown in the plans of DR. LEELA DEVI (Joshi), when an unannounced visitor threatens her new relationship, and DR. RANDOLPH BELL (Greenwood) moves forward with a surprising love interest.

A new wrinkle five episodes into the season will challenge audience expectations and reveal new truths about our characters. Old relationships will be tested, new ones formed, and the emergence of a widespread Medicare fraud scheme ensures Chastain will never be the same.

‘Let the Right One In’ Series Sinks Its Fangs in at Showtime

Let the Right One In Book cover

John Ajvide Lindqvist’s bestselling vampire novel Let the Right One In is being adapted into a series by Showtime, with the network targeting an early 2022 start of production. The novel was previously adapted into a critically acclaimed Swedish film in 2008 followed by an English language remake, Let Me In, starring Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloë Grace Moretz in 2010.

Showtime ordered the adaptation to series and confirmed Oscar nominee Demián Bichir (A Better Life) has been cast as Mark, father of Eleanor (to be played by Madison Taylor Baez), a young girl who’s been turned into a vampire. Bichir will also be involved as a producer

The 10 episode season one cast includes Tony winner Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls, Power), Grace Gummer (Mr. Robot), Kevin Carroll (Snowfall), Ian Foreman (Merry Wish-Mas), and Jacob Buster (Colony).

The series will be shot in New York City and has Andrew Hinderaker (Penny Dreadful) on board as showrunner and executive producer. Hinderaker wrote the pilot and executive producer Seith Mann (Homeland) directed. Mann will also direct additional season one episodes. Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements are also serving as executive producers of the Tomorrow Studios production.

The Plot, Courtesy of Showtime:

“Inspired by the original hit Swedish novel and film, the series centers on Mark (Bichir) and his daughter Eleanor (Baez) whose lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive.

With these emotionally charged and terrifying ingredients as a starting point, Let the Right One In will upend genre expectations, turning a naturalistic lens on human frailty, strength and compassion.”
