Archie’s back in the ring in season three episode 18 of The CW’s Riverdale. Episode 18 titled “Jawbreaker” was directed by Gabriel Correa from a script by Brian E. Patterson and Arabella Anderson.
Season three Episode 18 airs April 17, 2019 at 8pm ET/PT.

The “Chapter Fifty-Three: Jawbreaker” Plot – REMATCH — When a tainted batch of fizzle rocks makes its way through Riverdale, Jughead (Sprouse) and FP (Ulrich) set out to find who’s responsible. After asking Veronica (Mendes) to help get him into an upcoming boxing tournament, Archie (Apa) quickly learns he may be in over his head. Elsewhere, Betty (Reinhart) makes one last attempt to rescue Alice (Amick) from The Farm’s grip, and Toni (Vanessa Morgan) becomes unsettled by a sudden change in Cheryl’s (Petsch) behavior.

“I’m the last of my kind but on the other side of the world they talk of this creature, the Yeti. I think these Yetis are my cousins. Can you take me there?” asks Sasquatch aka Mr. Link (voiced by Zach Galifianakis) to world adventurer Sir Lionel Frost (voiced by Hugh Jackman) in the animated comedy/adventure film Missing Link.
All Sir Frost wants to do is prove to the adventure society in Victorian London he’s worthy to be one of their members. Unfortunately, so far he’s failed to get proof of a historic discovery. But when he receives a letter suggesting he travel to the wilderness of the New World – America – to find Big Foot, Frost believes this time his quest will end with the proof he needs.
When Frost does find Sasquatch he’s shocked to learn that he’s an intelligent missing link who knows how to both speak and write. Frost is further surprised to discover the creature was the one who sent the letter in hopes that he’ll be Sasquatch’s guide on a journey to find his long-lost relatives: the Yetis who are rumored to be living in Shangri-La in the Himalayas.
The two strike a bargain and with Sasquatch traveling as Mr. Link, Frost will have the proof he needs to verify Big Foot exists to the adventure society. Frost becomes Link’s guide as they travel the world, facing more than their fair share of danger as Frost helps Link reunite with his family.
Charming, colorful, and funny, Missing Link is brought to life masterfully with wonderful Claymation animation and a first-rate voice cast. Hugh Jackman brings to life Sir Lionel Frost, an English gentleman and adventurer in the same fashion as Phileas Fogg in Jules Verne’s Around the World in Eighty Days. The dry one-liners Jackman delivers as Frost are witty and clever.
Zach Galifianakis lends his voice to Mr. Link, giving the friendly creature a childlike innocence and extremely likeable personality. The character’s a bit of a klutz, and Galifianakis leans into that with perfection.
The dazzling, stop-motion animation heightens the quality of the film, giving it a warm and entertaining look and feel.
The only drawback to Missing Link is the lengthy dialogue scenes and high-brow humor which is completely lost on the younger members of the audience. Children under the age of nine are likely to lose interest halfway through and become fussy…as they did at this critic’s screening.
Still, with stunning animation and a strong voice cast, Missing Link is an enjoyable, above average animated adventure for older kids and their parents.

NBC’s medical drama New Amsterdam continues season one with episode 18 titled “Five Miles West.” Episode 18 is set to air on April 16, 2019 and features guest stars Dierdre Friel and Lilly Knowles.
The cast of season one includes Ryan Eggold as Dr. Max Goodwin, Janet Montgomery (Salem, This Is Us) as Dr. Lauren Bloom, Tyler Labine (Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency) as Dr. Iggy Frome, and Jocko Sims (The Last Ship, Masters of Sex) as Dr. Floyd Reynolds. Freema Agyeman (Sense8, The Carrie Diaries) is Dr. Helen Sharpe and Anupam Kher (The Indian Detective) plays Dr. Vijay Kapoor.
The “Five Miles West” Plot – Reynolds (Sims) struggles to help a young Cystic Fibrosis patient (Knowles) with curious symptoms while Kapoor (Kher) finally comes face to face with Ella (Friel) after their awkward encounter. Meanwhile, Sharpe (Agyeman) takes a major step in her personal life.
The Season 1 Plot:
“Inspired by Bellevue, the oldest public hospital in America, this unique medical drama follows the brilliant and charming Dr. Max Goodwin (Eggold), the institution’s newest medical director who sets out to tear up the bureaucracy and provide exceptional care. Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon say they’re happy about getting an order for two shorter seasons of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. from ABC. Whedon says a 22 episode season feels like a marathon while the shorter 13 episode order is much easier on the writers, the crew, and the cast. ABC’s order of a shorter seasons six and seven allowed for a break in between, a time to refresh and bring a renewed energy to the table.
Filming is currently underway on season seven, and Whedon and Tancharoen admitted they had to try and remember what’s part of six and what’s part of season seven while discussing the upcoming return of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. “There’s bound to be a spoiler that falls out of our mouths,” joked Tancharoen during our roundtable interview at WonderCon.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season six will premiere on May 10, 2019.
You split things up this season into earth crew and space crew. How much time do we spend in space compared to earth?
Jed Whedon: “I would say it’s equal parts.”
Maurissa Tancharoen: “Yeah, there’s a nice balance between what’s going on with our space team and what’s going on on the ground. But it is an interesting way for us to start the season this year with our characters split up, so we’ll see how that ends up.”
Jed Whedon: “We wanted to try and see how it would work to have them literally on two totally different tracks. You have to wait and see, but I think it works…or maybe it doesn’t. Who knows? You tell us.”
Talbot at the end of season five was shot up into space. Will we see him floating around?
Maurissa Tancharoen: “Floating around forever in space?”
Jed Whedon: “You’ll have to wait and see.”
Now that the Marvel Netflix characters are free will that affect who you cast or the characters in the show?
Jed Whedon: “Not necessarily only because we have our own mythology. That doesn’t mean there won’t be crossovers with other Marvel shows in some way. There’s a lot of moving parts to the Marvel apparatus and our parts are moving well and we try not to…”
Maurissa Tancharoen: “We don’t want to mess it up.”
Jed Whedon: “There’s a lot of times where we have story where they have something else entirely coming and we have to learn about it. There’s a lot of little pieces and it’s sort of 3D chess sometimes. If our game’s working well, we like to keep it that way.”
Are you thinking about crossovers?
Jed Whedon: “Yes.”

What has been the strategy to how you filled out aspects of Clark’s new character?
Jed Whedon: “Well our strategy’s always been never reveal anything ever. And then people who are in charge of marketing are like, ‘Well, then what do we show them?’ (Laughing) So, we knew he was going to be on the show and that’s all we really wanted to say at first.”
Maurissa Tancharoen: “Clearly from what you’ve seen, it’s very different.”
Jed Whedon: “It’s a different version of Clark Gregg, so we firmly believe that any season would have to have him in it.”
Maurissa Tancharoen: “Hopefully that mystery is enough to lure you in.”
Are we going to see any old characters come back as instructors at the S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy or new characters as instructors?
Jed Whedon: “We might, yes. We might.”
How would you describe Mack’s regime? What’s it going to look like? How is it different?
Jed Whedon: “Well, he’s definitely trying to model it off Coulson. He’s a different kind of guy. Coulson was the every man and Mack has a little bit of that. He started as an engineer – he started as a mechanic and so he’s taken that baton and trying to hold on. At this point in the season, I think, he’s trying as hard as he can to emulate Coulson. We’ll see him slowly become his own kind of leader.”
Maurissa Tancharoen: “His confidence…he’s not quite there now. We’ll see that over the season slowly building up and how that reflects on how he runs S.H.I.E.L.D.”
Has the fact that you’ve been renewed for two seasons affected your writers room?
Jed Whedon: “Yes, in that we can end season six with just a massive question mark and answer it later. We don’t have to tie it up in a bow and go, ‘Oh, there’s more,’ and undo the bow.”
Maurissa Tancharoen: “With a shorter order the way we’ve mapped it out has been similar to what we’ve done before, but now it’s just broken down into two seasons.”
Can you talk about Clark Gregg’s directing style?
Jed Whedon: “He’s very good. He’s done it before so he’s a veteran. And he knows the actors.”
Maurissa Tancharoen: “Right. And he’s already such a leader as a person with the entire production and the cast, so it was just a natural evolution for him to be at the helm on the set. And because they all know each other so well and have worked together so long, there was a shorthand between them. It just kind of sailed.”
Jed Whedon: “And it worked out great because we knew how we were going to construct the first episode. It was fun to give him a big one with lots of facts.”
HBO’s set a June 16, 2019 premiere date for the coming of age series, Euphoria, starring Zendaya (The Greatest Showman, Spider-Man: Homecoming). The network’s premiere date announcement was accompanied by a short teaser trailer revealing the series’ dark tone.
Euphoria season one will consist of eight episodes. HBO’s given the drama a Sundays at 10pm ET/PT time slot.
In addition to Zendaya, the cast includes Maude Apatow (daughter of Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann), Angus Cloud, Eric Dane (The Last Ship), Alexa Demie (The OA), Jacob Elordi (The Kissing Booth), Barbie Ferreira, Nika King (Greenleaf), Storm Reid (A Wrinkle in Time), Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith (The Hate U Give) and Sydney Sweeney (The Handmaid’s Tale).
Sam Levinson (Assassination Nation, The Wizard of Lies) created the series and wrote season one. Levinson also served as an executive producer along with Drake, Future the Prince, Ravi Nandan, Kevin Turen, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, Tmira Yardeni, Mirit Toovi, Yoram Mokady, Gary Lennon and Jim Kleverweis.
The HBO and A24 production is based on the Israeli series created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin.
According to HBO, the series follows “a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma and social media.”
CBS officially confirmed its popular drama NCIS will return for a 17th season. Season 16 kicked off on September 25, 2019 and is currently airing on Tuesdays at 8pm ET/PT.
“NCIS has been a global juggernaut for almost two decades,” stated Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment. “Its viewers are clearly the most loyal of any drama on television. They are passionate about the characters, the plot lines, and the storytelling. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the gifted production team, and the cast, led by the extraordinary Mark Harmon. We are delighted that the show will remain a lynchpin of the CBS schedule this coming season.”
The series debuted in 2003 and has been ranked first among scripted dramatic programs for the last eight of nine seasons. According to CBS, the 16th season has been averaging 16 million viewers.
NCIS is the latest series to earn a renewal order from CBS for the 2019-2020 primetime season. CBS previously confirmed renewals for Young Sheldon, Mom, Criminal Minds, FBI, God Friended Me, The Neighborhood, and Magnum PI.
The NCIS Season 16 Plot:
With liberal doses of humor, it’s a show that focuses on the sometimes complex and always amusing dynamics of a team forced to work together in high-stress situations. NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), a former Marine gunnery sergeant whose skills as an investigator are unmatched, leads this troupe of colorful personalities. Gibbs, a man of few words, only needs a look to explain it all.

CBS’s popular action drama SEAL Team continues season two with episode 18 airing on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT. Episode 18 titled “Payback” was directed by Guy Ferland from a script by Dana Greenblatt and Teresa Huang.
The episode’s guest stars include Tony Curran as Brett Swan, Tamala Jones as Gunnery Sergeant Miller, JB Tadena as Bayani, Joanna Bacalso as Christine, Barrett James as Lt. Lawrence, and Wayne Pére as Dr. O’Brien. Kristy Swanson is Julia Logan, Larry Bates is Lucas Nance, AJ DeLeon is Armand Pacada, Derek Russo is Sanders, and Susan Chuang guest stars as Dr. Roberts.
The SEAL Team cast is led by David Boreanaz as Jason Hayes. Max Thieriot is Clay Spenser, Neil Brown Jr is Ray Perry, and AJ Buckley is Sonny Quinn. Toni Trucks plays Lisa Davis, Jessica Paré is Mandy Ellis, and Judd Lormand is Lieutenant Commander Eric Blackburn. Tyler Grey plays Trent in a recurring guest star role.
The “Payback” Plot – Bravo Team is out for revenge as they search for the person responsible for the surprise bomb attack that left one of their own in peril.
The SEAL Team Plot:

ABC’s announced details on the upcoming Grey’s Anatomy season 15 and Station 19 season two crossover event. Grey’s Anatomy and its spinoff Station 19‘s storylines will intersect on Thursday, May 2, 2019. The Grey’s Anatomy episode that’s the first part of the crossover event will air at 8pm ET/PT followed by Station 19 at 9pm ET/PT.
The current season of Grey’s Anatomy ranks first on Thursdays among women and its ranked first among all adults during the 8pm ET/PT time slot. Ellen Pompeo leads the cast as Meredith Grey, with Justin Chambers playing Alex Karev, Chandra Wilson is Miranda Bailey, James Pickens Jr. plays Richard Webber, Kevin McKidd is Owen Hunt, Jesse Williams stars as Jackson Avery, and Caterina Scorsone is Amelia Shepherd.

Station 19 – “Always Ready” Plot Description:
Following a deadly blaze inside a coffee beanery, the members of Station 19 find themselves on high alert as a beloved member of their team lands at Grey Sloan, leaving the future uncertain in the face of a life-threatening situation. “Always Ready” was written by Tia Napolitano and directed by Nicole Rubio. Brett Tucker, Kelly McCreary and Jake Borelli guest star.
The official trailer for Netflix’s Wine Country introduces a group of old friends gathered for a fun weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday. The 2019 comedy reunites a bunch of Saturday Night Live alumni including Rachel Dratch, Amy Poehler, Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph, Tina Fey, and Paula Pell. Former SNL writers Emily Spivey and Liz Cackowski co-wrote the screenplay from a story they developed with Amy Poehler. Poehler also directed and produced the comedy.
The cast also features Cherry Jones, Maya Erskine, and Jason Schwartzman. The behind the scenes team includes director of photography Tom Magill, editor Julie Monroe, and production designer Keith P. Cunningham, with music by Lisa Coleman.
Netflix is planning a theatrical release on May 8th followed by a global launch on the streaming service on May 10, 2019.
The Plot:

The new nearly three minute trailer for Illumination’s The Secret Life of Pets 2 arrives on National Pet Day. The sequel to 2016’s blockbuster animated film once again features cats, dogs, and bunnies living their best lives while their two-legged family members are off at work or school.
The Secret Life of Pets 2 voice cast includes Patton Oswalt as Max, Lake Bell as Chloe, Hannibal Buress as Buddy, Dana Carvey as Pops, and Tiffany Haddish as Daisy. Kevin Hart is Snowball, Ellie Kemper is Katie, Bobby Moynihan is Mel, Jenny Slate is Gidget, and Eric Stonestreet voices Duke. Harrison Ford makes his animated film debut as Rooster the dog.
The family-friendly sequel was directed by Chris Renaud and Jonathan Del Val from a script by Brian Lynch. Lynch and Renaud also wrote and directed the original 2016 film. Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy produced the sequel.
Illumination’s set a June 7, 2019 theatrical release date.

The Plot:
“Terrier Max (Oswalt) is coping with some major life changes. His owner (Kemper) is now married and has a toddler, Liam. Max is so worried about protecting the boy that he develops a nervous tic. On a family trip to a farm, Max and mutt Duke (Stonestreet) encounter canine-intolerant cows, hostile foxes and a terrifying turkey, all of which only elevates Max’s anxiety. Luckily, Max gets some guidance from veteran farm dog Rooster (Ford), who pushes Max to ditch his neuroses, find his inner alpha, and give Liam a little more freedom.
Meanwhile, while her owner is away, plucky Pomeranian Gidget (Slate) tries to rescue Max’s favorite toy from a cat-packed apartment with a little help from her feline friend, Chloe (Bell), who has discovered the joys of catnip.
And crazy-but-cute bunny Snowball (Hart) gets delusions of grandeur that he’s an actual superhero after his owner Molly starts dressing him in superhero pajamas.
