I desperately need the new season of Dead to Me to premiere right now. Unfortunately, we have to wait until May 8, 2020 for season two of the critically acclaimed dark comedy to arrive on Netflix.
We’re still a few weeks away from the new season’s debut, but at least Netflix has unveiled a new full-length trailer showing off season two. Netflix also released a few new photos from the upcoming season.
The cast of Dead to Me is led by Christina Applegate as Jen and Linda Cardellini as Judy. The cast also includes Diana Maria Riva, James Marsden, Natalie Morales, Valerie Mahaffey, Sam McCarthy, and Luke Roessler. Emmy Award winner Liz Feldman created the series.
Season two will consists of 10 half-hour episodes, all available on May 8th.

Hulu’s upcoming original comedic drama The Great has unveiled a new attention-grabbing trailer. If the series created, written, and executive produced by Oscar nominee Tony McNamara (The Favourite screenwriter) wasn’t on your binge-watching list already, it will be after checking out the just-released promo video.
The satirical comedy stars Elle Fanning (All the Bright Places) as a young Catherine the Great and Nicholas Hoult (The Favourite) as Emperor Peter. Phoebe Fox, Adam Godley, Gwilym Lee, Charity Wakefield, Douglas Hodge, Sacha Dhawan, Sebastian de Souza, Bayo Gbadamosi, and Belinda Bromilow also star in the original series.
All 10 episodes of the series which is “incorporating historical facts occasionally” are set to be released on Hulu on May 15, 2020.
Elle Fanning, Marian Macgowan, Josh Kesselman, Ron West, Brittany Kahan Ward, Doug Mankoff, Andrew Spaulding, Mark Winemaker, and Matt Shakman served as executive producers.

Interscope Records just released the first single from the upcoming (and much-delayed) remake of the teen romantic comedy, Valley Girl. The first single features the film’s cast singing the Go-Go’s anthem, “We Got the Beat.”
The music video features choreography by So You Think You Can Dance‘s Mandy Moore. (Not the Mandy Moore who stars in This Is Us.) The soundtrack’s expected to arrive on May 8, 2020. The film will also be released in drive-ins and on digital on May 8th.
The Valley Girl remake stars Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day) taking on the role played by Deborah Foreman in the original 1983 film. Joshua Whitehouse (Poldark) handles the male lead, a role played by Nicolas Cage in the ’83 romcom.
The film also stars Chloe Bennet, Mae Whitman, Ashleigh Murray, Jessie Ennis, Rob Huebel, Judy Greer, Alicia Silverstone, and Camila Morrone. Emmy Award-winner Rachel Lee Goldenberg (Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis) directed from a screenplay by Amy Talkington, based on the story by Andrew Lane and Wayne Crawford.
Matt Smith (Rim of the World) and Steven J. Wolfe (500 Days of Summer) served as producers.
The Plot:
Julie (Rothe) is the ultimate ’80s Valley Girl. A creative free spirit; Julie’s time is spent with her best friends shopping at the Galleria mall and making plans for senior prom. That is, until she falls hard for Randy (Whitehouse), a Sunset Strip punk rocker, who challenges everything the Valley and Julie stand for. Lea Thompson directs The CW’s Katy Keene season one episode 11, “Who Can I Turn To?” Written by Sara Saedi, episode 11 is set to air on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 8pm ET/PT.

The stars of NBC’s Parks & Recreation will reunite for a 30-minute special to benefit Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund. The special will air on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 8:30pm ET/PT and, according to NBC, will be the first scripted series “to air on broadcast that addresses our current situation.”
Confirmed cast members include Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Jim O’Heir, and Retta. NBC’s announcement teased additional Pawnee universe characters will also show up.
“Like a lot of other people, we were looking for ways to help and felt that bringing these characters back for a night could raise some money,” said executive producer Michael Schur. “I sent a hopeful email to the cast and they all got back to me within 45 minutes. Our old Parks and Rec team has put together one more 30-minute slice of (quarantined) Pawnee life and we hope everyone enjoys it. And donates!”
The special will follow Leslie Knope (Poehler) as she tries to stay connected with her Pawnee friends during the Covid-19 pandemic.

State Farm and Subaru are supporting the special and Feeding America with matching donations of $150,000 each. Plus, NBCUniversal and the cast, writers, and producers will also make matching donations.

Disney+ just released a trailer for the upcoming behind-the-scenes documentary series, Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. The subscription service also unveiled a poster for the eight episode docuseries set to premiere on Monday, May 4, 2020.
New episodes of the series will air on Fridays, exclusively to Disney+ subscribers.
Disney+ has not officially announced a premiere date for season two of The Mandalorian, however Disney CEO Bob Iger has said it will arrive in October 2020.

For those searching for a hidden gem among all the new movie offerings vying for attention during our nationwide quarantine, you’d be doing your horror-loving self a solid by checking out 1BR. It’s particularly effective viewing if your Covid-19 self-isolating dwelling happens to be a crowded apartment complex populated with tenants who could quite possibly be serial killers. You know the type; the overly friendly strangers whose smiles look predatory and who stare just a little too long as you walk by.
Our heroine in 1BR is Sarah (Nicole Brydon Bloom), a fish out of water new arrival to Los Angeles. She’s landed a temp job and can’t believe her good fortune when she stumbles across a tidy apartment complex hosting an open house. There are plenty of potential renters vying for the chance to snag the open one bedroom, but somehow Sarah manages to outwit, outlast, and outplay the Survivor version of LA apartment hunting. Okay, so all she really needed to do was draw the interest of the apartment manager, Jerry (Taylor Nichols). But given the lack of affordable, quality apartments in Southern California, being named winner of a one bedroom in a prime location is almost as satisfying as winning a reality competition series.
Sarah’s selected to join the apartment community and immediately connects with an elderly neighbor, Miss Stanhope (Susan Davis). She also hits it off with the good-looking bachelor who seems to show up whenever she’s got a heavy box to carry. She and Brian (Giles Matthey) get flirty but Sarah’s harboring a secret and can’t let him inside her next place. Her secret? She’s moving her cat into a no pets allowed complex. The horror!
Grateful for all the friendly faces who welcome her to their “family,” Sarah feels as though her decision to upend her life and move to the City of Angels has been validated. If only the pipes would stop rattling at night, all would be rosy for the pretty young LA newbie.
Soon, the annoying noises at night turn out to be the least of Sarah’s problems. Apartment living quickly flips from being the source of pride and independence to a terrifyingly nightmarish prison from which she has almost no chance of escaping with her sanity intact.

Nicole Brydon Bloom’s Sarah blossoms from a quiet, unassuming young woman into a warrior channeling her inner strength over the swiftly paced 90-minute running time. Bloom’s terrific in the role and has the audience on her side, cheering for her innocent and sort of naïve character to realize no one’s riding in to save her.
Writer-director David Marmor makes his feature film directorial debut with this 2020 release and does a great job of ratcheting up the tension and horror leading up to the film’s unsettling conclusion. Marmor’s script teases out little bits and pieces of info on why Sarah’s enduring such shocking circumstances before finally showing all its cards during the final act. The transformation in Sarah as she grasps the full horror of what’s going on at the apartment complex is a satisfying payoff to this gruesome horror story.
1BR‘s an unsettling and even at times uncomfortable experience. Fortunately, it’s also a well-executed thriller that explores the world of crazy cults while dishing up some surprising twists.

“Wild Ones” Plot – The SWAT team pursues a couple reminiscent of Bonnie and Clyde, when the duo goes on the run and on the hunt for a set of rare chest pieces worth millions. Also, Hondo and Darryl are surprised when Darryl’s ex-girlfriend visits with his young son, and Luca confronts his fear of failing his requalification to return to the field as he helps Kelly, his mentee.
