Filming is officially underway on Doctor Who season 13 starring the 13th Doctor, Jodie Whittaker. According to the network, filming is being conducted with “strict industry and UK government guidelines to ensure the safety of all cast and crew.” Unfortunately, that means the upcoming season will be cut down to eight episodes rather than 11 because of the extra time needed to safely shoot each episode.
“In this strangest of years, the Doctor Who production team have worked wonders to get the show back into production. We’re thrilled to be back making the show. Given the complexity of making Doctor Who, and with new and rigorous COVID working protocols, it’s going to take us a little longer to film each episode, meaning we expect to end up with eight episodes, rather than the usual 11,” said showrunner Chris Chibnall. “But rest assured, the ambition, humor, fun and scares you expect from Doctor Who will all still be firmly in place. For everyone around the world, this is a challenging period – but the Doctor never shirks from a challenge!”
Executive Producer BBC Studios Matt Stevens said, “We are so thrilled to have unlocked the TARDIS, dusted down the sonic and be able to start filming again for the next season of Doctor Who. The amazing production team, crew and cast have worked wonders to get us shooting again in these challenging times. It’s going to be as fun-filled and action-packed as ever – with plenty of surprises.”

The Thirteenth Doctor was last seen in the dramatic season 12 finale, when the fate of the Doctor was seemingly left hanging in the balance after she was locked away in an eternal prison. In the upcoming festive special, titled “Revolution of the Daleks,” the Doctor’s best friends Yaz (played by Mandip Gill), Ryan (played by Tosin Cole) and Graham (played by Bradley Walsh) have to pick up their lives without her. However, they soon discover a disturbing plan forming involving one of the Doctor’s biggest and most feared enemies – the Daleks. How do you fight the Daleks without the Doctor? With the Doctor’s fate unknown, just what will season 13 bring?

NBC’s Transplant season one episode nine finds Bash helping out a friend. Episode nine, “Under Pressure,” will air on November 17, 2020 at 10pm ET/PT.

Netflix announced they’ve renewed Emily in Paris for season two via a clever letter from “Savior Agency” revealing Emily needs to stick around in Paris for an extended period of time. Netflix’s renewal announcement didn’t confirm when we can expect the second season to arrive.
The 10-episode first season premiered on October 2, 2020 and starred Lily Collins in the title role. The cast also includes Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Call My Agent!) as Sylvie Grateau, Ashley Park (Mean Girls on Broadway, Tales of the City) as Mindy Chen, Lucas Bravo (Smart Ass) as Gabriel, Bruno Gouery (Doc Martin) as Luc, and Samuel Arnold (Antony & Cleopatra) as Julien.
Series star Lily Collins produces and Darren Star, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Bruns, and Andrew Fleming executive produce. Emily in Paris is a MTV Studios, Darren Star Productions, and Jax Media production.
Season one split critics, with 64% giving the series a fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. The Atlantic’s Shirley Li says it’s “a confection, a series so charming and fanciful that it becomes impervious to snobbery and cynicism.” On the other end of the ratings spectrum, Robert Levin from Newsday calls it a terrible show to be avoided at all costs. Netflix is betting subscribers lean toward Li’s assessment with their season two order.

CBS All Access’ upcoming docuseries Texas 6 shines the spotlight on a small Texas town’s six-man football team. The just-released trailer introduces the Strawn, Texas (population 676) Greyhounds as they battle on the field and deal with life off the gridiron.
The eight-episode docuseries from Jared Christopher (Titletown, TX) will premiere with three episodes dropping on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th. New episodes premiere on Thursdays beginning December 3rd.

Disney+ is showing off a first look at the upcoming holiday comedy, Godmothered. The Christmas-themed comedy’s first photos feature Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers) and Jillian Bell (Brittany Runs a Marathon).
The comedy’s cast also includes Santiago Cabrera (Big Little Lies), Mary Elizabeth Ellis (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Jane Curtin (United We Fall), June Squibb (Little Voice), Jillian Shea Spaeder (OMG!), Willa Skye, Artemis Pebdani (The Cool Kids), Utkarsh Ambudkar (The Mindy Project), and Stephnie Weir (Happy Together).
Godmothered is set to premiere on Disney+ on December 4, 2020.

Set at Christmas time, Godmothered is a comedy about Eleanor, a young, inexperienced fairy godmother-in-training (Bell) who upon hearing that her chosen profession is facing extinction, decides to show the world that people still need fairy godmothers. Finding a mislaid letter from a 10-year-old girl in distress, Eleanor tracks her down and discovers that the girl, Mackenzie, is now a 40-year-old single mom (Fisher) working at a news station in Boston.
Having lost her husband several years earlier, Mackenzie has all but given up on the idea of “Happily Ever After,” but Eleanor is bound and determined to give Mackenzie a happiness makeover, whether she likes it or not.

The half-hour comedy United States of Al has earned a series order from CBS. United States of Al comes from executive producer Chuck Lorre and writer/series creators David Goetsch and Maria Ferrari and will join CBS’s primetime lineup during the 2020-2021 season.
The cast of the just-ordered series includes Adhir Kalyan, Parker Young, Dean Norris, Kelli Goss, and Elizabeth Alderfer.
Mark Cendrowski is directing the pilot and will executive produce with Lorre, Goetsch, Ferrari, Reza Aslan, and Mahyad Tousi. The comedy is a Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. production.

Season two of Epix’s comic book inspired action drama Pennyworth will premiere on December 13, 2020. In support of its upcoming new season debut, the network’s just released an official trailer as well as a new season two poster.
According to Epix, Pennyworth will air season two episode one on December 13th, episode two on December 20th, and a two-part midseason finale on December 27th. The remaining new season two episodes will arrive in 2021.
Jack Bannon leads the cast as Alfred Pennyworth. Ben Aldridge is Thomas Wayne, Paloma Faith is Bet Sykes, Hainsley Lloyd Bennett is Deon “Bazza” Bashford, Ryan Fletcher plays Wallace “Dave Boy” MacDougal, Simon Manyonda is Lucious Fox, and Jessica de Gouw is Melanie Troy.

Based on the BBC UK original series Miranda, Call Me Kat stars Bialik as a woman who struggles every day against society and her mother to prove that she can still live a happy and fulfilling life despite still being single at 39. Which is why she recently spent her entire savings to open a cat café in Louisville, Kentucky. It was expected of KAT (Bialik) to be married with kids by now, but for many reasons, she’s still single – and totally fine with it.
Of course, Kat’s mother, SHEILA (Swoosie Kurtz), views her daughter’s single-hood as her own personal failure, but Kat remains determined to live a fulfilling life, and charts her own course to happiness. Working alongside Kat at the café are RANDI (Kyla Pratt), a confident millennial and self-proclaimed “non” cat person; and PHIL (Leslie Jordan), who recently broke up with his longtime partner.
Although Kat celebrates her independence, her single-forever plans may begin to veer off-course, when her former crush and good friend, MAX (Cheyenne Jackson), returns to town and takes a job as a bartender at the piano bar across the street, working with his friend, CARTER (Julian Gant).
Last Man Standing:
The series stars Tim Allen as MIKE BAXTER, a happily married father of three daughters, who finds himself the odd man out in a home dominated by women. Hit culinary competition series Hell’s Kitchen returns for its 19th season in a flashy new setting, as Chef Gordon Ramsay takes the show to Las Vegas, the city that’s home to the world’s first Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen restaurant at Caesars Palace. For the first time ever, 16 aspiring chefs from around the country will roll the dice and head to Sin City in the hopes of winning big.
Each week, the competition will get hotter as the chefs are put through rigorous culinary challenges – reaping high stakes rewards and punishments, all with a Sin City flare. But only those who possess the right combination of ingredients will continue in the competition until one is named winner. The Resident:

Actress Gina Torres joins Season two of 9-1-1: Lone Star as Captain TOMMY VEGA. But even as CPT. OWEN STRAND (Rob Lowe) welcomes Vega to the 126, he must face the unexpected arrival of his ex-wife, Gwyneth (Lisa Edelstein), who visits Austin to check on their firefighter son, T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein), following the injuries he sustained at the end of last season. All of this occurs as the rescue squad must deal with an emergency that the Texas capital has never encountered before.
Love the cast but the trailer for the romantic drama Wild Mountain Thyme seems to give far too much away. In addition to the lengthy trailer, Bleecker Street released a new poster in support of the film’s December 11, 2020 release on demand and in theaters.
The cast includes Emily Blunt, Jamie Dornan, Jon Hamm, Dearbhla Molloy, and Christopher Walken. John Patrick Shanley adapted his play for the screen and directs.
