‘Kevin Can F**K Himself’ New Teaser and Premiere Date

Schitt’s Creek‘s Annie Murphy stars in AMC’s Kevin Can F**k Himself debuting Sunday, June 13, 2021 on AMC+ and on June 20th on AMC. The comedy series just released a new teaser trailer along with the premiere date announcement, a trailer that finds Annie Murphy starring as a woman who’s anything but the typical “sitcom wife.”

The first season will consist of eight episodes. Episodes one and two will air back-to-back, with new episodes dropping on Sundays at 9pm ET/PT. Each episode will air first on AMC+ followed a week later on AMC.

The cast of season one also includes Mary Hollis Inboden (The Real O’Neals), Eric Petersen (Kirstie), Alex Bonifer (Superstore), Brian Howe (Chicago Fire), and Raymond Lee (Here and Now). The dark comedy comes from Valerie Armstrong (Lodge 49) and is executive produced by Rashida Jones, Will McCormack, and showrunner Craig DiGregorio.

The Plot, Courtesy of AMC:

Kevin Can F**K Himself follows the story of Allison McRoberts (Murphy), a woman we all grew up believing we knew: the prototypical Sitcom Wife. She’s beautiful and can take a joke (though she’s usually the butt of them). And she’s married to a guy who must’ve won some sort of marriage lottery, because she looks the way she does and he’s… funny. But what happens when we follow Allison out of her husband’s domain? When she finally wakes up to—and revolts against—the injustices in her life?

Kevin Can F**K Himself breaks television convention and blends multi-camera comedy with single-camera realism to make us ask: “who and what have we been laughing at all of these years?”

The series also stars Mary Hollis Inboden as Patty O’Connor, Allison’s tough, glass-half-empty neighbor who hides an intelligence and dissatisfaction that bonds her to Allison; Eric Petersen as the protagonist husband Kevin McRoberts, Allison’s husky and “lovable” man-child; Alex Bonifer as Neil O’Connor, the football-loving, beer-swilling, dim-bulb best friend of Kevin; Brian Howe as Pete McRoberts, Kevin’s father with a regressive sense of humor; and Raymond Lee as Sam Park, a clean cut, former Worcesterite who has history with Allison.

Series Description, Courtesy of CBS:

All Rise is a courthouse drama that follows the chaotic, hopeful and sometimes absurd lives of its judges, prosecutors and public defenders, as they work with bailiffs, clerks and cops to get justice for the people of Los Angeles amidst a flawed legal process. ‘The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It’ Trailer Takes the Devil to Court

The official trailer for The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It finds paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren heading to court to help argue a case of demonic possession. The trailer’s incredibly creepy and, according to director Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona), this entry in The Conjuring film franchise is the darkest yet.

In an interview with IGN, Chaves also teased the new The Conjuring film will depart from previous movies while keeping the Warrens’ relationship at the film’s heart. “This is really taking the Warrens into uncharted places,” stated Chaves. “Being a fan of the franchise, I was honestly really nervous at first breaking with convention, breaking with a lot of things that are tradition, but I think that what we’ve done is really woven the language and the things that you do want from a Conjuring film – the scares, the Warrens, their relationship – and [pushed them] to the limits in this really fresh and exciting new direction.”

In addition to Vera Farmiga reprising her role as Lorraine Warren and Patrick Wilson returning as Ed, the cast includes Ruairi O’Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Julian Hilliard.

David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick wrote the screenplay (story by James Wan & Johnson-McGoldrick) and Peter Safran and James Wan produced. Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Victoria Palmeri, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Michelle Morrissey executive produced.

Warner Bros. is targeting a June 4, 2021 release in theaters, IMAX, and on HBO Max.

The Plot:

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It reveals a chilling story of terror, murder, and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.”

‘CODA’ Release Date: Award-Winning Drama to Premiere in August

CODA
Emilia Jones stars in ‘CODA’

Sundance Film Festival standout CODA will premiere in theaters and on Apple TV+ on August 13, 2021. Writer/director Siân Heder’s film entered the Sundance Film Festival history books this year as the only movie to score four top prizes in the US Dramatic Competition category: U.S. Grand Jury Prize, Audience Award, Directing Award, and Special Jury Prize for Best Ensemble.

Apple picked up CODA (an acronym for Child of Deaf Adults) following its Sundance Film Festival premiere in January 2021. The drama currently sits at 95% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, with Harper’s Bazaar declaring it “tenderly captures the unique beats of familial love with startling specificity and, ultimately, universality.”

The cast of the critically acclaimed coming-of-age drama includes Emilia Jones (Locke & Key), Eugenio Derbez (The Casagrandes), Troy Kotsur (The Number 23), Ferdia Walsh-Peelo (Vikings), and Daniel Durant (Switched at Birth). Amy Forsyth (Beautiful Boy), Kevin Chapman (City on a Hill), and Oscar winner Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God) also star.

Philippe Rousselet, Fabrice Gianfermi, Patrick Wachsberger, and Jérôme Seydoux produced, with Ardavan Safaee and Sarah Borch-Jacobsen serving as executive producers. The film’s a Vendome Pictures and Pathé production.

The Plot, Courtesy of Apple TV+:

Her life revolves around acting as interpreter for her parents (Matlin, Kotsur) and working on the family’s struggling fishing boat every day before school with her father and older brother (Durant). But when Ruby joins her high school’s choir club, she discovers a gift for singing and soon finds herself drawn to her duet partner Miles (Walsh-Peelo).

Encouraged by her enthusiastic, tough-love choirmaster (Derbez) to apply to a prestigious music school, Ruby finds herself torn between the obligations she feels to her family and the pursuit of her own dreams.
