‘The Blacklist’ Season 8 Episode 18 Photos, Plot and Cast

A hitman’s hot on Liz’s tail on NBC’s The Blacklist season eight episode 18. “The Protean” will air on Friday, May 21, 2021.

The cast of The Blacklist is led by James Spader as Raymond “Red” Reddington and Megan Boone as Elizabeth Keen. Diego Klattenhoff plays Donald Ressler, Amir Arison is Aram Mojtabai, Hisham Tawfiq is Dembe Zuma, and Harry Lennix stars as Harold Cooper.

‘Loki’ Featurette: Tom Hiddleston Walks Us Through the God of Mischief’s History

Tom Hiddleston attempts to recap all of the key moments involving Loki in the MCU in only 30 seconds. He fails but that’s just fine as you can never have too much of Tom Hiddleston, am I right?

The cast of Marvel Studios’ Loki also includes Owen Wilson (as Mobius M. Mobius), Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant. The much-anticipated comic book-inspired series was directed by Kate Herron, with Michael Waldron serving as the head writer.

Loki premieres on Disney+ on June 9, 2021. New episodes will drop on subsequent Wednesdays.

The Plot:

Marvel Studios’ Loki features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

‘Love, Victor’ Season 2 New Trailer Catches Us Up with Victor + Benji

Hulu’s new trailer for season two of the critically acclaimed coming of age series Love, Victor gives us the warm fuzzies. The two minute video focuses on Victor and Benji’s relationship and how it impacts their friends and families.

Hulu also dropped a new poster in support of the upcoming second season.

The cast is led by Michael Cimino as Victor Salazar. George Sear is Benji, Rachel Hilson stars as Mia, Anthony Turpel plays Felix, and Bebe Wood is Lake. Mason Gooding plays Andrew, Isabella Ferreira is Pilar, Mateo Fernandez stars as Adrian, James Martinez is Armando, and Ana Ortiz plays Isabel.

Love, Simon‘s writers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger executive produce Love, Victor along with Brian Tanen, Jason Ensler, Isaac Klausner, Marty Bowen, Adam Fishbach, Wyck Godfrey, Pouya Shahbazian, and Adam Londy.

Season two will premiere on June 11, 2021.

The team focuses on catching a crooked DEA agent on the season two finale of CBS’s FBI: Most Wanted. Season two episode 15 was directed by Milena Govich from a script by David Hudgins and will air on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT.

Julian McMahon stars as Supervisory Special Agent Jess LaCroix, Kellan Lutz plays Special Agent Kenny Crosby, Roxy Sternberg is Special Agent Sheryll Barnes, Keisha Castle-Hughes is Special Agent Hana Gibson, and Nathaniel Arcand plays Special Agent Clinton Skye.

Season finale guest stars include Victor Williams, Michael Drayer, Larisa Polonsky, David Aaron Baker, and Shawn Parsons. Tracy McMullan, Anne Rutter, J. Stephen Brantley, Teren Carter, Lauriel Friedman, and Tim Shelburne also guest star in episode 15.

“Chattaboogie” Plot: Jess and the Most Wanted team head to Tennessee to track down an undercover DEA agent who appears to have turned dirty amid a major drug ring operation. Also, Sarah (Jen Landon) wonders if it was a mistake to move in with Jess and Tali so soon.

‘SurrealEstate’ Debuts a New Teaser Trailer and Confirms July Premiere

Syfy’s set a July 16, 2021 premiere date for the supernatural drama SurrealEstate starring Wynonna Earp‘s Tim Rozon. The season one premiere date announcement was accompanied by a new trailer featuring Rozon as a real estate agent who specializes in homes with creepy pasts.

New episodes will air on Fridays at 10pm ET/PT.

In addition to Tim Rozon, the 10 episode first season stars Sarah Levy, Adam Korson, Maurice Dean Wint, and Tennille Read. Rozon’s Wynonna Earp co-star Melanie Scrofano directs two episodes of season one. Additional directors include Paul Fox, Danishka Esterhazy, and Paolo Barzman.

The Blue Ice Pictures production has George R. Olson as executive producer and showrunner. Executive producers also include Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, Armand Leo, and Danishka Esterhazy.

In the season premiere of SurrealEstate, a team of eclectic real estate specialists handle the cases no one else can: haunted and possessed houses that literally scare would-be buyers away. ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ Adaptation Will Premiere on Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video’s snagged the film adaptation of the critically acclaimed musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and has set a September 17, 2021 premiere date exclusively on the streaming service. The musical was originally set for a theatrical release in 2020 but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie has quickly become one of the most beloved musicals of recent years,” stated Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios. “Jamie’s story is one that resonates across all generations – it’s about unconditional love and we know our global audiences will fall in love with Jamie as he overcomes adversity to truly find his authentic self. We are so thrilled to share this joyful and inspirational story with the world.”

The original musical premiered at the Crucible Theatre followed by a run at London’s Apollo Theatre. Everybody’s Talking About Jamie earned five Olivier Award nominations and was named Best Musical Production at the UK Theatre Awards. And the musical’s star, John McCrea, earned the Best Musical Performer award.

The film adaptation stars Max Harwood in the title role. The cast also includes Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Patel, Shobna Gulati, Ralph Ineson, Adeel Akhtar, Samuel Bottomley, Sharon Horgan, and Richard E. Grant.

The musical’s original director Jonathan Butterell helms the adaptation, with screenplay and lyrics by Tom MacRae and songs by Dan Gillespie Sells. Mark Herbert, Peter Carlton, and Arnon Milchan produce. Yariv Milchan, Michael Schaefer, Natalie Lehmann, Daniel Battsek, Ollie Madden, Peter Balm, Niall Shamma, and Jes Wilkins executive produce.

Everybody's Talking About Jamie

Inspired by true events, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie follows Jamie New (Harwood), a teenager from Sheffield, who dreams of life on stage. While his classmates plan their livelihoods after they leave school, Jamie contemplates revealing his secret career ambition to become a fierce and proud drag queen. His best friend Pritti (Patel) and his loving mum (Lancashire) shower him with endless support, while local drag legend Miss Loco Chanelle (Grant) mentors him toward his debut stage performance. But Jamie also has to contend with an unsupportive father (Ineson), an uninspired careers advisor (Horgan), and some ignorant school kids who attempt to rain on his sensational parade.

In rousing and colourful musical numbers, Jamie and his community inspire one another to overcome prejudice, be more accepting, and to step out of the darkness into the spotlight.




‘Hocus Pocus 2’ is Brewing Up a 2022 Premiere on Disney+

The Sanderson Sisters are getting back together for the much-anticipated, long-awaited sequel to 1993’s Hocus Pocus. Bette Midler’s returning as Winifred, Sarah Jessica Parker’s back as Sarah, and Kathy Najimy is reprising her role as Mary in Hocus Pocus 2, the sequel to the live-action comedy that continues to be incredibly popular among viewers of all ages.

Disney+ confirmed Anne Fletcher is on board to direct the sequel which is expected to premiere in 2022. Fletcher’s targeting a fall start of production after taking over for Adam Shankman who was forced to exit the project because of a scheduling conflict. Shankman’s keeping busy directing the Enchanted sequel, Disenchanted, but will remain part of Hocus Pocus 2 as an executive producer.

Ralph Winter and David Kirschner are also executive producing, with Lynn Harris producing.

“As heartbroken as I am that I won’t be able to direct my friends Bette, Sarah Jessica, and Kathy in what is sure to be nothing short of a major event for Disney+ due to scheduling conflicts, I couldn’t be more pleased to be handing over the reins to Anne, who has brought so much laughter and joy into people’s lives with her previous work,” said executive producer Adam Shankman. “I am still grateful and proud to help shepherd this ingenious project as executive producer alongside producer Lynn Harris, whom I have loved and admired as a colleague and friend since she helped get me the job choreographing Boogie Nights.”

Ann Fletcher’s directing credits include Step Up, 27 Dresses, Hot Pursuit, and The Proposal.

“Now more than ever, people need to laugh. We should be laughing every day, and there is so much fun to be had with these three unbelievable women playing delicious characters from such a beloved film,” says director Anne Fletcher. “I am so grateful to be able to play a part in bringing these witches back to life, and to be working with my friends at Disney again makes it all the more special. This is a movie for everyone, from the fans who grew up with the first film to the next generation of viewers, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Disney+ issued the following brief synopsis of the witchy sequel:

“In Hocus Pocus 2, three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world.”




‘FBI’ Season 3 Episode 15 Photos: Season Finale Preview

Dexter‘s David Zayas reprises his role as Antonio Vargas on the season three finale of CBS’s FBI. Season three episode 15 – “Straight Flush” – was directed by Alex Chapple from a script by Rick Eid and Joe Halpin (story by Claire Demorest and Heather Michaels). The season finale airs Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 9pm ET/PT.

Missy Peregrym and Zeeko Zaki lead the cast as Special Agent Maggie Bell and Special Agent Omar Adom ‘OA’ Zidan. Jeremy Sisto stars as Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine, Alana De La Garza is Special Agent in Charge Isobel Castille, and John Boyd plays Special Agent Stuart Scola.

“Straight Flush” Plot: When five prominent men are killed at a trendy New York City restaurant, the team’s investigation brings them into contact with a lieutenant in Antonio Vargas’ cartel, triggering a long-awaited showdown between Isobel and Vargas.

FBI is a fast-paced drama about the inner workings of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This elite unit brings to bear all their talents, intellect and technical expertise on major cases in order to keep New York and the country safe.

Born into a multigenerational law enforcement family, Special Agent Maggie Bell commits deeply to the people she works with as well as those she protects. Her partner is Special Agent Omar Adom ‘OA’ Zidan, a West Point graduate via Bushwick who spent two years undercover for the DEA before being cherry-picked by the FBI. Overseeing them is Special Agent in Charge, Isobel Castille, who operates under intense pressure and has undeniable command authority.

The team also includes Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine, the nerve center of the office whose ability to easily relate to and engage with both superiors and subordinates makes him a master motivator. Newest to the team – and the FBI – is smart and outspoken Special Agent Tiffany Wallace, who spent six years with the NYPD and is now partner to Special Agent Stuart Scola, an Ivy League-educated Wall Streeter-turned-FBI agent. ‘Animal Kingdom’ Season 5 Teaser Trailer Arrives with July Premiere Date Announcement

Smurf’s dead and each of the Cody brothers believe themselves to be top dog in the upcoming fifth season of TNT’s Animal Kingdom. The network just released the season five teaser trailer and confirmed the upcoming season will air on Sundays at 9pm ET/PT beginning July 11, 2021.

Season five of the gritty drama stars Shawn Hatosy, Ben Robson, Jake Weary, and Finn Cole. TNT previously announced the series has been renewed for a sixth and final season.

Animal Kingdom‘s inspired by the critically acclaimed Australian independent film from writer/director David Michôd. Jonathan Lisco developed the series and Michôd, Liz Watts, John Wells, Daniele Nathanson, Erin Jontow serve as executive producers.

TNT released the following synopsis of the upcoming fifth season of Animal Kingdom:

In Animal Kingdom season five, Pope (Hatosy), Craig (Robson), Deran (Weary), and J (Cole) are still dealing with the fallout from the events surrounding Smurf’s death, including family members out for revenge. With their kingdom without a leader, the Cody family struggles to maintain their fragile alliance, and to see which of them will come out on top. Meanwhile, they search for more information on Pamela Johnson whom Smurf made the beneficiary of her estate.

And back in 1984, an increasingly volatile 29-year-old Smurf is forging her own path raising Pope and Julia and leading the charge on dangerous jobs with new and old friends.

Watch Jennifer Hudson as Aretha Franklin in the New ‘Respect’ Trailer

Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson channels Aretha Franklin in the new trailer for the music-driven biopic, Respect. Sadly, the Queen of Soul passed away in 2018 however years before she died Aretha Franklin spoke with Hudson and requested she play her in a film.

“We met in New York, and one of the first things she said to me was ‘You’re gonna win another Oscar for playing me, right?’ Imagine Aretha Franklin looking you in the face and saying that,” said Hudson in an interview with EW in late 2020. Hudson, who was hot off her Dreamgirls performance when they met, promised Franklin she would try. It took more than a dozen years but, finally, Franklin’s request came to fruition with Respect.

Joining Hudson are Forest Whitaker as C.L. Franklin, Marlon Wayans as Ted White, and Audra McDonald as Barbara Franklin. Marc Maron plays Jerry Wexler, Tituss Burgess is Reverend Dr. James Cleveland, Kimberly Scott is Mama Franklin, Saycon Sengbloh plays Erma Franklin, and Hailey Kilgore is Carolyn Franklin. The cast also includes Heather Headley as Clara Ward, Skye Dakota Turner as Young Aretha Franklin, Tate Donovan as John Hammond, and Mary J. Blige as Dinah Washington.

Liesl Tommy, the first Black woman to earn a Best Direction of a Play Tony Award nomination, directs from a screenplay by Tracey Scott Wilson (story by Wilson and Callie Khouri). Harvey Mason Jr., Scott Bernstein, Jonathan Glickman, and Stacey Sher produced, with Jennifer Hudson, Liesl Tommy, Sue Baden-Powell, Aaron L. Gilbert, and Jason Cloth executive producing.
