Sebastian Stan and Denise Gough star in ‘Monday’ (Photo Courtesy of IFC Films)
IFC Films has picked up the North American rights to Monday starring Sebastian Stan (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) and Denise Gough (The Other Lamb). The romantic drama, co-written and directed by Argyris Papadimitropoulos, was both a Toronto International Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival selection.
“In many ways, the film has become even more relevant in this current environment, as all relationships got challenged during the lockdown and Chloe’s and Mickey’s story is a very realistic take on relationships,” stated Papadimitropoulos. “At a time when things have started getting more optimistic in the world and a summer trip to Greece, crowded parties, people kissing and having fun is something we are all longing for – I believe the timing is perfect to release the film and the fact that it found a home at IFC Films, makes my smile a little bigger.”
Papadimitropoulos, Christos V. Konstantakopoulos, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Damian Jones, and Deanna Barillari. Rob Hayes co-wrote the screenplay. Argyris Papadimitropoulos’ directing credits include 2008’s Bang Bang, 2011’s Wasted Youth, and 2016’s Suntan.
IFC Films is targeting an April 16, 2021 release on demand and in select theaters.
The Monday Plot, Courtesy of IFC Films:
When Mickey (Stan) is dragged away from his DJ set by a drunken friend and introduced to Chloe (Gough) one hot summer night in Athens, the attraction between the pair is immediately palpable—so palpable that before they know it they’re waking up naked on the beach Saturday morning. And so it goes that a one night stand on Friday turns into a whirlwind weekend romance that leads to serious conversations when they face the harsh sunlight on Monday morning.
Micki’s career in the Texas Rangers is front and center on The CW’s Walker season one episode four. Episode four, “Don’t Fence Me In,” was directed by John T. Kretchmer from a script by April Fitzsimmons and will air on February 11, 2021 at 8pm ET/PT.
In addition to Jared Padalecki as Cordell Walker, the season one cast includes Kale Culley (Me, Myself and I) as August, Violet Brinson (Sharp Objects) as Stella, Keegan Allen (Pretty Little Liars) as Liam, Molly Hagan (Herman’s Head) as Abeline, and Mitch Pileggi (The X-Files) as Bonham. Coby Bell (The Gifted) plays Captain Larry James, Lindsey Morgan is Micki, and Jeff Pierre (Once Upon a Time) plays Trey Barnett.
“Don’t Fence Me In” Plot: MICKI IS PUT FRONT AND CENTER ON A NEW CASE – Micki (Morgan) is uncomfortable with the spotlight Captain James (Bell) puts on her during a current investigation. Walker (Padalecki) talks to Liam (Allen) about their parents and learns there was trouble while he was away. Trey (Pierre) applies for a new job in town while Stella (Benson) starts community service and August (Culley) stumbles upon some secrets from his father’s time away undercover.
The Plot, Courtesy of The CW:
Walker stars Jared Padalecki as Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home. He’ll attempt to reconnect with his creative and thoughtful son (Culley) and his headstrong, somewhat rebellious teenaged daughter (Brinson) and navigate clashes with his family – an ADA brother (Allen) who stepped in during Walker’s absence, his perceptive mother (Hagen) and his traditional rancher father (Pileggi).
Walker’s former colleague is now his Ranger Captain (Bell). Walker finds unexpected common ground with his new partner (one of the first women in Texas Rangers’ history) played by Lindsey Morgan, while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death.
Brandon Routh continues his guest-starring role as Officer Doug Stanton on ABC’s The Rookie season three episode five. Directed by Anna Mastro from a script by Elizabeth David Beall and Robert Bella, “Lockdown” will air on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT.
The season three cast is led by Nathan Fillion as John Nolan. Alyssa Diaz returns as Angela Lopez, Richard T. Jones is back as Sergeant Wade Grey, Titus Makin Jr is Jackson West, and Melissa O’Neil is Lucy Chen. Eric Winter plays Tim Bradford, Mekia Cox is Nyla Harper, and Shawn Ashmore stars as Wesley Evers.
Episode five’s guest stars include Brent Huff as Officer Smitty, Angel Parker as Luna Grey, and Kamar De Los Reyes as Detective Sergeant Ryan Caradine.
“Lockdown” Plot: Officer Nolan is taken hostage by a man with nothing to lose while the station goes on lockdown and races to identify the suspect before time runs out. Meanwhile, Officer Jackson and his training officer, Officer Doug Stanton, reach a tipping point in their relationship that could end Jackson’s career.
John Nolan, the oldest rookie in the LAPD, has used his life experience, determination and sense of humor to keep up with rookies 20 years his junior. Nearing the end of his training, Nolan now faces his biggest challenge as a police officer when he must come to terms with the choices he has made in pursuit of the truth.

The CW’s Riverdale season five episode four will be the first episode in which the story has taken a leap forward of seven years. Episode three showcased graduation and spent time with the main four – Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead – as they wrapped up their high school years and headed off to their lives post-Riverdale. Jughead was the only member of the gang who kept their promise to return one year after graduation, and it was a little heartbreaking to see him sitting alone in a booth at the diner.
Episode four, “Purgatorio,” will find Archie attempting to get the gang back together. Directed by Steve Adelson from a script by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, episode four will air on February 10, 2021 at 8pm ET/PT.
The cast of season five includes KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, and Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones. Madelaine Petsch is Cheryl Blossom, Marisol Nichols is Hermione Lodge, Mӓdchen Amick is Alice Cooper, Casey Cott is Kevin Keller, Mark Consuelos is Hiram Lodge, Skeet Ulrich is FP Jones, Charles Melton is Reggie Mantle, Drew Ray Tanner is Fangs Fogarty, and Vanessa Morgan plays Toni Topaz.
“Chapter Eighty: Purgatorio” Plot: SEVEN-YEAR TIME JUMP — After spending seven years away from Riverdale, Archie (Apa) returns to find the town is now under Hiram Lodge’s (Consuelos) grip and on the verge of becoming a ghost town. When Toni (Morgan) catches him up on what’s been going on, Archie reaches out to the rest of the gang to return home.
Season 5 Description, Courtesy of The CW:
The fourth season of Riverdale began with a funeral and tribute to Archie’s late father, the beloved Fred Andrews (Luke Perry). Throughout the season, Archie (KJ Apa) tried to live up to his father’s memory by mentoring youths at his Community Center with the help of his pals Reggie and Munroe Moore. But the shadow of that tragedy loomed over Archie—and only darkened when Fred’s brother Frank arrived, bringing unforeseen complications with him, much to the chagrin of Archie’s mother (Molly Ringwald).
Meanwhile, after Betty saved her mom and sister from the Farm cult, she joined her brother Charles’s Junior F.B.I. Training Program. Veronica found herself locked in a season-long battle with her father Hiram and half-sister Hermosa over her burgeoning maple rum business. And, at the urging on FP, Jughead enrolled in a new school, Stonewall Prep, only to be caught up in a mystery that involved his grandfather, the secret author of a series of teen detective novels called “The Baxter Brothers.” His classmates turned out to be killers—and it was up to Betty and Jughead (pretending to be dead) to solve the murder of…Jughead Jones!
At Thistlehouse, Cheryl was trapped in a gothic nightmare, fighting her demons, literal and metaphoric, with the loving support of her girlfriend Toni. She finally put her brother Jason to rest while maintaining her control over the Vixens as resident HBIC against Principal Honey (Kerr Smith). Kevin got dragged into an illicit tickle scheme, but still found time to put on a Variety Show with hit songs from Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
And throughout the season, disturbing unmarked videotapes kept appearing on our characters’ doorsteps, ensuring that there would be one more mystery to solve.
Season five of Riverdale will begin with our characters’ final days as students at Riverdale High. From an epic Senior Prom to a bittersweet Graduation, there are a lot of emotional moments and goodbyes yet to come — with some couples breaking up, as everyone goes their separate ways to college — or elsewhere. Then, we will redock with our gang as young adults, all returning to Riverdale to escape their troubled pasts. And life — and romance — will only be more complicated now that they’re in their twenties…

Olivia Cooke and Jack O’Connell star in ‘Little Fish’ (Photo Courtesy of IFC Films. An IFC Films Release)
Director Chad Hartigan’s Little Fish is a touching romantic tale of love and loss, of the fluidity of life and the desire to form lasting connections during our time on this planet. The heart-wrenching drama asks us to consider what happens when the threads that hold our relationships together are ripped apart by a devastating disease.
In the case of Little Fish, the fictional disease spreading around the globe is Neuroinflammatory Affliction (NIA). NIA steals memories and destroys lives. Some of those afflicted lose touch with their past rapidly while for others it’s a slow spiral into a world where nothing feels safe or familiar.
For newlyweds Emma (Olivia Cooke, Bates Motel) and Jude (Jack O’Connell, Godless) NIA advances slowly. It begins with little things…the inability to remember the name of someone they’ve dealt with occasionally at work or the forgetting of details of a conversation they recently engaged in. This slow march allows both Emma and Jude an opportunity to understand what the future holds or at least comprehend where they’re headed during the disease’s early stages.
Emma and Jude face their fate as a team. A potential cure allows the couple to hope for a continued life of shared memories, but what really drives this couple to wake up each morning is love. Emma remains undaunted as Jude’s lapses in memory increase, and Hartigan uses flashbacks to fill in blanks and flesh out their relationship.
The pandemic strikes globally yet Little Fish is a very intimate story focused on a couple who are both flawed and relatable. Watching Emma and Jude struggle and suffer through the stages of NIA is heartbreaking because we know them and they could be us.
The fact the world is currently in the grip of the Covid-19 pandemic makes the film feel all the more relevant and intense. However, NIA is nothing like Covid-19; it’s very similar to Alzheimer’s. Whether the disease comes on fast or rolls out slowly, it progresses until you’re no longer able to recognize the faces of loved ones or call up memories of important events. You lose contact with what makes you a complete person, cut off from everyone and left feeling isolated and alone. Every day brings new frustrations; every face is that of a stranger.
It’s difficult to capture the impact of memory loss yet Chad Hartigan’s done an outstanding job setting up realistic scenarios. As the couple at the heart of the film, Olivia Cooke and Jack O’Connell deliver extraordinary performances. Cooke and O’Connell make us invest in this imperfect couple and as they lose themselves to NIA, their journey pulls at our heartstrings.

The CW announced early renewal orders for 12 of its primetime series including the Jared Padalecki-starrer, Walker. Walker not only earned a renewal order, it also picked up five additional episodes bringing its first season run to 18.
The 11 other series getting renewed for the 2021-2022 season include All American (Season 4), Batwoman (Season 3), Charmed (Season 4), DC’S Legends of Tomorrow (Season 7), Dynasty (Season 5), The Flash (Season 8), In The Dark (Season 4), Legacies (Season 4), Nancy Drew (Season 3), Riverdale (Season 6) and Roswell, New Mexico (Season 4).
The CW also announced its added two more episodes to the first season of Superman & Lois starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch.
“Though we’re just a few weeks into the new season, we wanted to get a strategic head start on next season with these early renewals, which allows our production teams to start laying out story arcs and hiring staff, and at the same time, continues to provide us with a strong, stable schedule to build on for next season,” stated Mark Pedowitz, Chairman and CEO, The CW Network. “As The CW’s 2020-2021 season kicks into high gear, we are thrilled creatively with the direction of our first new shows out of the gate, Walker and Superman & Lois, that we wanted to order the additional episodes to complete their first seasons, and we are particularly pleased with the huge success of the launch of Walker, which debuted as our most watched series premiere in five years.”
CBS just released photos promoting Bull season five episode eight, an episode that finds Bull battling for a client who believes the public’s health is more important than profit. Episode eight, “Cloak and Beaker,” was directed by Dennis Smith from a script by Steven Paul Martinez and will air on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT.
The season five cast is led by Michael Weatherly as Dr. Jason Bull. Freddy Rodriguez plays Benny Colón, Yara Martinez stars as Isabella “Izzy” Colón, Geneva Carr is Marissa Morgan, Jamie Lee Kirchner is Danny James, Christopher Jackson plays Chunk Palmer, and MacKenzie Meehan stars as Taylor Rentzel.
Guest stars include Matt Dellapina, Frank Wood, Ollie Robinson, Victor Williams, Hollis McCarthy, and Avery Glymph. Tess Rutherford, John Hedges, Megan Channell, David Shumbris, T. Ryder Smith, and Lauren Sharpe also guest star in episode eight.
“Cloak and Beaker” Plot: Bull heads to federal court for a client accused of stealing his own scientific research from the company he works for, a corporation he says buried his ground-breaking work because selling medication is more profitable than curing diseases.
Bull stars Michael Weatherly as Dr. Jason Bull in a drama inspired by the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw, the founder of one of the most prolific trial-consulting firms of all time. Brilliant, brash and charming, Dr. Bull is the ultimate puppet master as he combines psychology, human intuition and high-tech data to learn what makes jurors, attorneys, witnesses and the accused tick. This season, Bull finds it harder than ever to navigate his personal life, as he balances fatherhood and his renewed relationship with Isabella “Izzy” Colón, his ex-wife. Izzy’s brother is Benny Colón, Bull’s trusted associate, a quick-witted lawyer who acts as defense attorney in the company’s mock trials.
Bull’s enviable group of experts at Trial Analysis Corporation shape successful narratives down to the last detail. In addition to Benny, his team includes Marissa Morgan, a neurolinguistics expert from the Department of Homeland Security who monitors shifting jury reactions in real-time for Bull; former NYPD detective Danny James, the firm’s tough but relatable investigator; Taylor Rentzel, a working mother and former colleague of Marissa’s who is an expert at coding and computer hacking; and Chunk Palmer, a former all-American lineman and stylist-turned-lawyer, who helps clients prepare their look and testimony for trial.
In high-stakes trials, Bull’s combination of remarkable insight into human nature, three Ph.D.’s and a top-notch staff creates winning strategies that tip the scales of justice in his clients’ favor.
