It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is about to break The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet‘s record as the longest-running live-action comedy in history. FXX has set a December 1, 2021 premiere date for season 15 of the critically acclaimed adult comedy, kicking off the new, record-breaking season with the release of episodes one and two.

Series creator Rob McElhenney stars alongside Glenn Howerton (“Dennis”), Charlie Day (“Charlie”), Kaitlin Olson (“Dee”), and Danny DeVito (“Frank”). McElhenney also executive produces with Howerton, Day, Michael Rotenberg, David Hornsby, Megan Ganz, Rob Rosell, and Nick Frenkel.

Sunny premiered in 2005 and has been renewed through season 18.

FXX released the following description of season 15:

“The record-breaking 15th season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is its most ambitious yet. In the seismic wake of Covid-19 and all things 2020, The Gang stands at a crossroads in this strange new world. The rules are changing quicker than anyone can keep up with, despite herculean efforts from Mac (McElhenney), Charlie (Day), Dennis (Howerton), Dee (Olson) and Frank (DeVito) to continue business as usual. Now, they must face the music and decide who they’ll become in the cultural upheaval that is 2021. Across the span of eight episodes — and the Atlantic Ocean — we find them answer in a way only they could think to.

Like a fine Irish whiskey, Sunny’s distinct flavor has gotten richer and intensified through the years. First barreled in 2005, the show has become a landmark for dark comedy and American satire, uniting the most devoted of fans from all over the country and abroad, and this monumental 15th season is truly one to crack open and celebrate. Continuing to deliver some of the hardest laughs on television while tackling society’s most pressing issues, Sunny turns its fearless focus both outward and inward: to a national and international level but also to a deeply personal level. This is a season that sees The Gang try to exploit pandemic aid, sidestep cancel culture, evade criminal justice, reflect on their origins, and reconcile their identities and homeland roots.”

‘Miracle Workers’ and ‘Tacoma FD’ Earn Season 4 Renewals

TBS has renewed Miracle Workers starring Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi for a fourth season, and truTV’s given Tacoma FD a fourth season order as well. Season three of Miracle Workers ranks as cable’s top sitcom while Tacoma FD is one of the top 10 cable comedies, according to TBS and truTV.

Miracle Workers and Tacoma FD never fail to deliver good times, good laughs, and passionate fans. We love the unique sensibility and distinctive, bold comedy of these shows. The fact that they continue to resonate so strongly with audiences speaks to the dedication of their creators and their brilliant network executives,” stated Adrienne O’Riain and Sam Linsky, Co-Heads of Scripted Programming, TBS, TNT, truTV.

The renewal announcement didn’t confirm the plot of Miracle Workers season four, teasing the anthology comedy series will once again find the cast playing new characters in a new setting.

Series creator Simon Rich executive produces along with Daniel Radcliffe, Steve Buscemi, Lorne Michaels, Dan Mirk, Robert Padnick, Katy Jenson, and Andrew Singer. Mirk and Padnick guide the series as showrunners.

Season three of Tacoma FD stars Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Eugene Cordero, Marcus Henderson, Gabriel Hogan, and Hassie Harrison. Set in Tacoma, the series follows firefighters as they “keep themselves entertained with creative competitions, friendly first responder rivalries and no shortage of bizarre emergency calls.”

Super Troopers‘ Heffernan and Lemme executive produce along with 3 Arts Entertainment’s David Miner, and Greg Walter. Inman Young and Savey Cathey from A24 Studios are also involved as executive producers.

In addition to announcing Miracle Workers will stick around for a fourth season, TBS confirmed they’ve greenlit the comedy series Kill the Orange-Faced Bear with Damon Wayans Jr. The 10 episode series about a man seeking revenge on a bear who ate his girlfriend will also star Jessy Hodges, Alex Karpovsky, and Nate Torrence. Voice cast members include Sarah Silverman, Nicole Byer, and Sam Richardson.

Blue Mountain State‘s Romanski created the series and serves as writer and executive producer. Damon Wayans Jr., Trevor Engelson, Steven Fisher, Alex Karpovsky, and Jake Szymanski also executive produce, with Szymanski directing the pilot.

“I’ve loved the idea for Kill the Orange-Faced Bear from the minute we heard the pitch and felt that it was a dead center shot at the target of popular absurdist humor we’ve become known for,” said Brett Weitz, General Manager, TNT, TBS, and truTV. “Romanski and our brilliant cast bring a fresh concept to life that’s right for our fans.”

‘New Amsterdam’ Season 4 Episode 8 Photos, Promo, and Plot Details

The battle over funding continues on NBC’s New Amsterdam season four episode eight. “Paid in Full” will air on November 9, 2021.

The cast of season four is led by Ryan Eggold as Medical Director Max Goodwin. Janet Montgomery returns as Dr. Lauren Bloom, Freema Agyeman stars as Dr. Helen Sharpe, Jocko Sims plays Dr. Floyd Reynolds, and Tyler Labine is Dr. Iggy Frome. Michelle Forbes guest stars as Dr. Fuentes.

“Paid in Full” Plot: Max is faced with a wrenching decision when New Amsterdam falls prey to a massive ransomware attack.

The Season 4 Plot, Courtesy of NBC:

After a turbulent year of sacrifice and hardship, Medical Director Max Goodwin and the team at New Amsterdam begin a well-deserved new chapter in their lives. The opening episode, titled “More Joy,” reflects both the drive of characters and the tone of season four. More joy: How can we find it, and how can we hold on to it?

For Max that means acknowledging and surrendering to his long simmering feelings towards Dr. Helen Sharpe. While this new relationship brings its own set of challenges, Max continues his optimistic – and quixotic – quest to improve our nation’s healthcare system.

Continuing to navigate their own personal journeys – including Dr. Bloom’s relationship with Dr. Leyla Shinwari, who is now her resident, Dr. Frome’s new career and Dr. Reynolds’ personal entanglements – the doctors will strive to embrace the joy and successes in their lives.

But there is a surprise in store for our heroes. Dr. Veronica Fuentes is joining the New Amsterdam team to help turn around the overburdened and underfunded hospital. Her first order of business will be to tear down every progressive program Max has erected. Max will have his work cut out for him if he is going to outwit this calm, poised and fearless fixer.

Four-time Emmy Award nominee Sofia Vergara (Modern Family) is confirmed to star in and executive produce Griselda, a limited series based on the life of Griselda Blanco set up at Netflix. Vergara and executive producer Luis Balaguer have been developing a series about Blanco – a notorious cartel boss known as the Cocaine Godmother – for the past eight years. Netflix picked up the series as part of writer/executive producer Eric Newman’s deal with the streaming service.

Andrés Baiz (Narcos: México) will direct all six episodes of the limited series and also executive produce.

“Griselda Blanco was a larger-than-life character whose ruthless but ingenious tactics allowed her to rule a billion dollar empire years before many of the most notorious male kingpins we know so much about,” said Vergara. “We are thrilled to have found the perfect partners in Eric, Andrés and Netflix to help us bring this story of her life to the screen.”

“Griselda Blanco has long been a passion project for Sofia and we are grateful that she and her partners at LatinWe have chosen us to help her tell that story. Sofia is a brilliant talent and her passion combined with a fantastic story from Doug and Ingrid, and the amazing Andrés Baiz at the directing helm, means we have a very exciting series to share with audiences,” explained Newman.

Ingrid Escajeda (Justified, Empire) is on board as writer, executive producer, and showrunner. Escajeda and executive producer Doug Miro co-wrote the first episode. Carlo Bernard also executive produces.

“Eric Newman has deftly brought to life among the most dynamic characters and stories on screen today. We’re excited to continue on this creative path with him and for this collaboration with Sofia Vergara — a force in entertainment and a world-beloved talent. With an incredible team at the helm — we can’t wait for the world to see how Ingrid Escajeda, Doug Miro, and Andrés Baiz take on the twists and turns of Griselda Blanco’s epic story,” stated Peter Friedlander, Netflix’s Vice President, UCAN Scripted Series.

Although Griselda focuses on drug trafficking and cartels, Netflix’s announcement of the series explicitly stated “it is not a spinoff and has no association or crossover to the Narcos franchise.”

Netflix provided the following description of Griselda:

Griselda chronicles the real life of savvy and ambitious Colombian business woman, Griselda Blanco, who created one of the most profitable cartels in history. A devoted mother, Blanco’s lethal blend of charm and unsuspecting savagery helped her expertly navigate between family and business leading her to become widely known as the ‘Black Widow.'”

Series Description, Courtesy of CBS:

Blue Bloods is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan is the New York Police Commissioner, and heads both the police force and the Reagan brood. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry, during his stint as Chief. A source of pride and concern for Frank is his eldest son, Danny, a seasoned detective, family man and Iraq War vet who on occasion uses dubious tactics to solve cases with his partner, Detective Maria Baez. Erin, the middle daughter, is a New York Assistant D.A. who serves as the legal compass for her siblings and father.

Jamie is the youngest Reagan, a Harvard Law graduate and the family’s “golden boy.” Unable to deny the family tradition, Jamie decided to give up a lucrative future in law and follow in the family footsteps as a cop. He’s found a friend and ally in his wife, Eddie, who keeps him on his toes, and has very different reasons than the Reagans for joining the police force.
