Also, TC helps Kumu lead a protest against construction on a Hawaiian sacred site.

The Series Description, Courtesy of CBS:

Magnum P.I. is a modern take on the classic series centering on Thomas Magnum, a decorated former Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. A charming rogue, an American hero and a die-hard Detroit Tigers fan, Magnum lives in a guest cottage on Robin’s Nest, the luxurious estate where he works as a security consultant to supplement his P.I. business.

The “majordomo” of the property is Juliet Higgins, a beautiful and commanding disavowed MI:6 agent whose second job is to keep Magnum in line, with the help of her two Dobermans. When Magnum needs back-up on a job, he turns to his trusted buddies and fellow POW survivors, Theodore “TC” Calvin, a former Marine chopper pilot who runs Island Hoppers, a helicopter tour business, and Orville “Rick” Wright, a former Marine door-gunner-turned-impresario of Oahu’s coolest nightclub and the most connected man on the island.

Suspicious of Magnum’s casual attitude and presence at his crime scenes, Detective Gordon Katsumoto finds that he and Magnum are more alike than either of them care to admit. One of Magnum’s biggest supporters is Teuila “Kumu” Tuileta, the unofficial “House Mom” and cultural curator of Robin’s Nest. With keys to a vintage Ferrari in one hand, aviator sunglasses in the other, and an Old Düsseldorf longneck chilling in the fridge, Thomas Magnum is back on the case!”

Legacies Season 2 Episode 6 Photos: Preview of “That’s Nothing I Had to Remember”

The CW’s Legacies season two episode five found Hope and Lizzie stuck in an ’80s video game-ish hell, defeating it just in time to attend the Salvatore High School dance. Meanwhile, Josie and Landon were on the verge of taking their relationship to a new level when Josie discovered Landon’s journal containing pages of love notes about Hope.

Up next, season two episode six, “That’s Nothing I Had to Remember,” airing November 21, 2019. Bola Ogun directed the episode from a script by Adam Higgs and Josh Eiserike.

Legacies stars Danielle Rose Russell as Hope Mikaelson, Jenny Boyd as Lizzie Saltzman, Kaylee Bryant as Josie Saltzman, and Quincy Fouse as MG. Aria Shahghasemi is Landon Kirby, Peyton Alex Smith is Rafael Waithe, and Matt Davis is Alaric Saltzman.

“That’s Nothing I Had to Remember” Plot – MYSTIC FALLS CELEBRATES COMMONWEALTH DAY / RILEY VOELKEL STARS AS FREYA — When a truth-seeking monster arrives in Mystic Falls during Commonwealth Day, Hope (Russell) and Lizzie (Boyd) fear that the secrets they’ve each been keeping have made them targets. Meanwhile, MG (Fouse), Kaleb (guest star Chris Lee) and Kym (guest star Ebboney Wilson) seek out an unlikely ally, who may have knowledge on how to take down the latest monster.

Finally, Freya (guest star Riley Voelkel) receives an unexpected visit from one of the Salvatore Students.

The Season 2 Plot:

Last season, viewers were thrilled to tap into a whole new passion for The Vampire Diaries / The Originals universe, when the third installment in the franchise launched with Legacies. Set in the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted, Legacies told the story of the next generation of supernatural beings as they learn what it means to be special in a world that may never understand. Typically a school for vampires like MG (Fouse), werewolves like Rafael (Smith) and witches like twins Lizzie (Boyd) and Josie Saltzman (Bryant), the kids and their beloved headmaster Dr. Alaric Saltzman (Davis) were stunned to come face to face with a series of monster and creatures they had only ever heard of in myth and lore. A dragon. A gargoyle. The Headless Horseman.

The evil behind the real-life resurrection of these formerly fictional beings proved to have a horrifying connection to the school’s newest student, Landon Kirby (Shahghasemi). This led his first and only love, Hope Mikaelson (Russell), the school’s shining star, to sacrifice her place at the school — and in the world — to protect Landon from a terrible fate.

Season two will show us a world without Hope Mikaelson and all the chaos that goes along with it. All the while, Hope will be trying to find her way back to the school she has learned to call home and the friends she has learned to love like family. It will be filled with new monsters and more romantic and emotional surprises than ever.

Supernatural Season 15 Episode 5 Recap: “Proverbs 17:3”

Supernatural Season 15 Episode 5
Jared Padalecki as Sam and Jensen Ackles as Dean in ‘Supernatural’ season 15 episode 5 (Photo: Colin Bentley © 2019 The CW Network)

I’m convinced now that The CW’s Supernatural’s final season isn’t going to have any filler episodes because season 15 episode five, “Proverbs 17:3,” turned what seemed to be a very by-the-numbers plot into a turning point for the story.

We start things off with the usual intro where a monster kills off a group of hapless girls, followed by Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) talking in the bunker. Dean makes a huge mistake by having ghost pepper jerky – he doesn’t like it all.

Before Sam teases Dean over having his mouth go on fire because of the spice, we see him attempting to get in contact with Castiel. By the looks of things, Sam has no clue that Dean was the reason Castiel bailed and the angel isn’t replying to our Sammy’s concerned texts.

Dean brings up a case in Colorado where authorities think a mountain lion has savaged a group of people, and the boys head off after Dean sprays himself with water to get rid of the jerky spice. While they’re on the way, we cut to a shot of Dean at the bunker as he creeps up on Sam.

This white-suited Sammy resembles that season five post-apocalyptic Lucifer version quite a bit and is unfazed when Dean shoots him with the Colt; he then proceeds to set his brother on fire. Sam then wakes up from this “nightmare” and pretends it didn’t happen.

At the town, we hark back to season one times as Dean and Sam assume the identities of agents Ford and Hamill, and nobody believes Dean resembles the picture he has on his fake ID from his 2005 days to be him.

When they track down Ashley, the lone survivor from the attack by the werewolves intro, Dean has a connection with her and she reveals one of the werewolves let her go with the promise she wouldn’t tell anyone about them.

With this knowledge, Sam and Dean figure out where these werewolf brothers live. As it turns out, the younger brother, Josh, is wracked with guilt at what his elder brother Andy’s made them do. When they’re confronted by Sam and Dean in their aliases, the hunter brothers instantly catch on that these two guys are the werewolves they’re after.

Later, Ashley gives Dean a call and asks to be around him because she feels safe that way. Sam heads out to get food while Dean comforts Ashley with her trauma.

However, her choice words over wanting things to be written out for her life hits home hard as Dean remembers how Chuck planned all of his and Sam’s lives out.

Here’s where things start getting weird in the episode; we see the next shot of Sam waking Dean up because he was…sleeping? Somehow, Dean fell in such a deep sleep that Ashley got abducted by the werewolf brothers without him stirring slightly.

They break into the werewolves’ cabin and engage in a fight, where the boys end up on the losing side but Josh has a change of heart because of his guilt and shoots himself and his brother. Now, here’s where the real twist arrives.

As she’s released, Ashley trips and impales herself on a pair of deer antlers, only for her to rise up and laugh the whole thing off. Because she’s not Ashley at all. She’s…(drumrolls)… Lilith!

That’s right, the Big Bad from way back has been resurrected and it was God of all beings who brought her back from the Empty. Except, Lilith has no plans on killing the boys – despite their failed attempt at killing her using demon and angel blades – and she’s there to get the Equalizer gun. She doesn’t dig what it’s called, though.

Dean, being the ever-protective big brother, sees Sam unconscious and makes a deal to take Lilith to the gun provided she only tortures him and not Sam if it comes down to it. Along the way, Lilith tells Dean that Chuck brought her back to set up an encounter between him and Sam so that things end with one brother killing the other. This was Chuck’s grand ending he came up with last we saw him.

Meanwhile, the unconscious Sam has another “nightmare” where Demon Dean (remember him?) manhandles him and uses the First Blade to kill Sam with zero remorse. Waking up, Sam figures out where Dean and Lilith went and follows them.

At the motel, Dean confesses he lied about the gun, and Lilith begins his slow torture by slicing parts of Dean’s skin; Sam arrives in time to shoot her in the head.

However, this is a small concern for Lilith as she causes a mini-earthquake that shakes the devil’s trap-bullet out of her head.

Eventually, she deduces that the Impala is the natural place for Dean to hide the gun, melts it beyond use, and bids the boys goodbye by mocking them. At the bunker, both brothers mourn the fact that Chuck is out to get them again.

With Castiel not answering their calls, a tearful Sam and Dean discuss their options, and we see Dean cry his eyes out at the prospect of going against God himself. While Sam shows little fight in him, it’s clear with the way their tears roll out that the boys really don’t have any answers for the time being.

The Resident Season 3 Episode 7: Photos and Preview of “Woman Down”

Fox’s season three episode seven of The Resident finds the staff taking care of one of their own. Episode seven, “Woman Doman,” is set to air on November 19, 2019 at 8pm ET/PT.

The cast of season three includes Matt Czuchry as Dr. Conrad Hawkins, Emily VanCamp as Nicolette “Nic” Nevin, Bruce Greenwood as Dr. Randolph Bell, and Manish Dayal as Dr. Devon Pravesh. Shaunette Renee Wilson plays Dr. Mina Okafor, Malcolm-Jamal Warner is Dr. AJ Austin, Jane Leeves is Dr. Kitt Voss, and Glenn Morshower is Marshall Winthrop. Morris Chestnut joins the cast as Dr. Barrett Cain.

The “Woman Doman” Plot – When one of Chastain’s own is brought into the emergency room with life-threatening injuries, the staff rallies around each other to try to save her life, while disagreements over how to best handle her care put Cain at odds with the rest of the doctors. Also, Bell is met with an unexpected response when he voices concerns regarding the nursing shortage that Nic brought to his attention. Meanwhile, Conrad turns heads when he shares data about Hemopleatin, and Kyle begins volunteering at the hospital.

The Season 3 Plot, Courtesy of Fox:

Entering its third season, The Resident continues to rip back the curtain and reveal the truth of what really happens, both good and bad, in hospitals across the country. The provocative medical drama follows a group of doctors at Chastain Memorial Hospital, as they face personal and professional challenges on a daily basis while fighting for their patients.

In season three, Red Rock Mountain Medical has taken over, inserting its own doctors – including new neurosurgeon Dr. Barrett Cain – and nurses into the well-oiled machine that was once Chastain Memorial Hospital, and causing the doctors to fight harder than ever against the corrupting influence of money in healthcare. The hospital is being run like a profit-hungry corporation – reaping huge financial gains, while risking the lives of its patients.

Dr. Randolph Bell is well-aware of the dangerous deal he has made with Red Rock in order to get Chastain out of its financial crisis and, as a result, initially turns a blind eye to the new corporate mantra of profits over patients. It’s not long before Dr. Conrad Hawkins incurs Red Rock’s fury when he confronts the problems head-on, becoming a whistleblower. The good fight he leads could ultimately threaten everything he holds dear, including his ability to practice medicine.

The Justice League of young healthcare providers must unite to fight for and with him, with Nicolette “Nic” Nevins in the lead. Nic attempts to recover from a devastating personal loss by throwing herself into patient care and her work for the uninsured through her clinic.

Dr. Devon Pravesh will find himself rotating out of the ER and gaining experience and power of his own in new positions within the hospital, eventually moving up to a first-year resident. Dr. AJ Austin will continue to bond with his mentee, the exceptionally talented surgeon, Dr. Mina Okafor. She’ll be his support as he navigates a relationship with his complicated biological family, while striving to maintain one with the parents who raised him. Okafor will be faced with a potential new family dynamic of her own, when her best friend, Adaku, who carries the BRCA breast cancer gene, returns pregnant with no father in the picture.

Meanwhile, the power and ruthlessness of new neurosurgeon Dr. Cain takes the hospital by storm. He embodies all the evil that can result when doctors care more for the bottom line than for their patients. Dr. Kitt Voss is the first to realize that his charm hides a medical demon, but standing against him could have serious consequences for her future. Cain’s ability to generate millions for Chastain leaves him free to exact swift revenge on those who oppose him – and no one is off limits.

6 Underground New Trailer Debuts Starring Ryan Reynolds

Netflix’ new trailer for 6 Underground is completely bonkers and, as one of the commenters on Youtube describes it, this film appears to be the “most Michael Bayish Michael Bay movie ever made.” Action-packed but lacking any actual plot details, the trailer nevertheless succeeds in grabbing our attention because it’s just so crazy. (And because it places Ryan Reynolds front and center in the action.)

Joining Ryan Reynolds in the chaos are Dave Franco, Mélanie Laurent, Corey Hawkins, and Adria Arjona. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Ben Hardy, Lior Raz, and Payman Maadi also star.

Michael Bay (the Transformers film franchise) directed from a screenplay by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. Ian Bryce, Michael Bay, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger produced, with Matthew Cohan executive producing.

Netflix has set a December 13, 2019 premiere on the streaming service.

The Plot, Courtesy of Netflix:

What’s the best part of being dead? It isn’t escaping your boss, your ex, or even erasing your criminal record. The best part about being dead…is the freedom. The freedom to fight the injustice and evil that lurk in our world without anyone or anything to slow you down or tell you “no.”

6 Underground introduces a new kind of action hero. Six individuals from all around the globe, each the very best at what they do, have been chosen not only for their skill, but for a unique desire to delete their pasts to change the future. The team is brought together by an enigmatic leader (Reynolds), whose sole mission in life is to ensure that, while he and his fellow operatives will never be remembered, their actions damn sure will.
