The Season 1 Plot, Courtesy of NBC:
When Dr. Bashir Hamed (Haq), a charismatic Syrian doctor with battle-tested skills in emergency medicine, flees his war-torn homeland, he and younger sister Amira (Gulamgaus) become refugees, struggling to forge a new life in Canada. But if Bash ever wants to be a doctor again, he must redo his medical training from the ground up and obtaining a coveted residency position is nearly impossible.
When a horrific truck crash nearly kills a senior doctor right in front of him, Bash saves the doctor’s life and earns a residency in the biggest Emergency Department of the best hospital in Toronto.
Yet for all Bash’s experience, it’s a tough road. Bash’s training is different, his life experience are unique to him and he’s not an exact match for his new colleagues, who include Dr. Magalie “Mags” LeBlanc (Leboeuf), a ferociously analytical second-year resident who pushes herself relentlessly; Dr. June Curtis (Issa), a reserved, ambitious surgical resident whose loyalty doesn’t come easily; and Dr. Theo Hunter (Watson), a pediatric Emergency Fellow whose small-town upbringing is cracking wide open as life at the hospital changes his worldview.
The team works tirelessly to save lives and win the approval of the legendary head of the Emergency Department, Dr. Jed Bishop (Hannah), all the while managed by sharp-eyed, acerbic Dr. Wendy Atwater (Smith) and supported by longtime head nurse, the deadpan, confident Claire Malone (Higginson).
Through it all, Bash tries to meet the demand of his new country and new job, while trying to pay the bills, raise his little sister and carve out a new life for them both in this unfamiliar land. It’s a journey that’s universal to people everywhere. Bash aims high and is determined to succeed, and those around are quick to see that his passion and hopefulness are contagious. But will his newfound life reject him, or will this “transplant” take?

Additionally, The Pack donated $250,000 during filming to multiple charities and animal rescue organizations in each country, helping to pay it forward to dogs and those who love them around the world.
To win the monetary prize for themselves and their charity, the teams will have to depend on their understanding of one another’s strengths and weaknesses and prove to have the strongest bond in the pack. In each locale, the human and dog duos will face fun and exciting challenges, designed in concert with a team of accredited veterinarians and certified dog experts that also accompany the group on their exciting journey, making sure it is a positive experience for everyone.
The Teams:
Brian Calvert & Dixie (Camby, IN) – Dixie is a 5-year-old Old Bluetick Coonhound. She’s a therapy dog for veterans and a deer tracking dog. She’s known as “Dixie The Praying Dog” because Brian taught her how to ‘bow’ down to pray and say thank you to Veterans on command. Brian is a 47-year-old man from Camby, Indiana. Half of the week, Brian drives semi-trucks while taking Dixie to public appearances and events for the rest of the week. Both Brian and Dixie have dedicated their lives to helping Veterans, kids, and anyone who might need a smile. Brian and Dixie have a custom Jeep Wrangler with Dixie’s signature logo on it. They drive around in the Jeep participating in parades, escorting charity motorcycle rides, and escorting veterans’ funerals.
Chelsey Lowe & Gryffin (Newport Beach, CA) – Gryffin and Chelsey currently live in Newport Beach, California, where they enjoy doing activities such as surfing, stand up paddleboarding, yoga, beach volleyball, and anything else outdoors. Chelsey played college volleyball at UC Santa Barbara and is a yoga instructor. Chelsey found Gryffin at just seven weeks old about seven years ago, on her way home from a trip, and Gryffin hasn’t left her side since. They do everything together. Chelsey even brings her to work, teaching her yoga classes with Gryffin by her side!
Chisum Joe Johnson & Kepo (Cogar, OK) – Kepo joined Chisum’s family in 2017. Chisum initially got Kepo as a friend to his older dog (who has since passed) and a new friend for him. Chisum began to train Kepo as a tracking pup, and through that, they grew a close bond. Chisum didn’t realize how smart a dog could be until he befriended Kepo. Chisum credits Kepo for keeping him grounded after a stressful day at the fire station.
Daniel Reese & Allister (Chicago, IL) – Four years ago, Daniel Reese was blessed to be in the right place at the right time rescuing Allister, his sweet Wired Haired Rat Terrier, making him Daniel’s forever fur best friend. Allister is always ready for the next big adventure. Daniel gets so much love from Allister that he now wants to share that feeling with the world.
Donna Modafferi & Charlie (New York City, NY) – Donna Modafferi and her Schnoodle-Schnauzer-Poodle, Charlie, currently reside in New York City. Donna fell in love with Charlie’s adorable face from a photo she saw online – proving there is such a thing as love at first sight. When Donna brought Charlie home in July 2016, Charlie fit into Donna’s little family perfectly and has brought them so much joy and love ever since.
Josh White & Snow (West Hollywood, CA) – Josh has a 3-year-old Standard Poodle named Snow. Josh loves to groom Snow, changing up her look to then go out and take photos of her! Snow enjoys all the attention and all the love, but most of all, she just enjoys spending time with Josh – and Josh enjoys spending all his time with her!
Kioni “Kentucky” Russell Gallahue & Derby (San Diego, CA) – Kentucky got Derby from a loving family that realized that they couldn’t take care of him and needed to re-home him. Kentucky took him in, and they have been best friends ever since. Once living with Kentucky, Derby discovered a whole new world, and Kentucky helped give Derby the confidence to enjoy and explore it. Derby came into Kentucky’s life at a low point, and he helped get Kentucky through the hard times and start a new life in San Diego. Together they are inseparable. They love to surf, ride motorcycles, and find new, fun, crazy activities together.
Linh Iacona & Chance (Brooklyn, NY) – After suddenly losing Linh’s first dog, a senior rescue, she searched on Petfinder and found Chance (who at the time was called Griff). She drove 8 hours that day to pick him up at his foster home. At only six weeks old, he was found homeless roaming the streets of Kentucky, then transported to Pennsylvania to be fostered. She adopted Chance at three and a half months old, and now he’s living his best life in Brooklyn.
Lucy Riles & Duchess (Woodland Hills, CA) – Duchess is an 8-year-old Black Lab that loves tennis balls and playing fetch with Lucy, a Stay-at-Home Mom of four kids, two dogs and wife to one husband. Duchess and Lucy’s bond began when Duchess was four months old. With a toddler and baby already in tow, Lucy decided to adopt Duchess from Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue. But as the years went on, it’s pretty clear that Duchess was the one doing the rescuing all along.
The unconditional love, security, companionship and emotional support Duchess has provided Lucy and her kids has gotten their family through some of life’s most devastating losses and obstacles. Not only has Duchess saved the lives and hearts of Lucy and her family, but Duchess is also about to win over your hearts as well! This duo may be the oldest female team on The Pack and viewed as a couple of underdogs…but never underestimate the inner strength of a mom and her lab. Lucy and Duchess are here to prove you CAN teach an old dog (and old broad) new tricks!
Mark LeBlanc & Ace (Salt Lake City, UT) – Mark is a 31-year-old mechanical engineer and professional photographer with a furry best friend named Ace, a 10-year-old Border Collie. Mark specifically wanted a breed that could match his physical abilities and intensity – Ace was exactly that for him. They love to push themselves to the limit in the mountains. Living in Salt Lake City, Utah, they are always active outdoors doing things like rock climbing, backcountry skiing, mountain biking, and trail running. At six months old, Ace was catching frisbees 30 yards away, and at ten years old, a ten-mile trail run is simply a warm-up. Together, Mark and Ace have an unbreakable bond and a thrill for adventure.
Mitra Najibeh Yosri & Bozley (Los Angeles, CA) – Nine years ago, Mitra Yosri met Bozley, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Bozley escorted Mitra when she made the life-changing decision to move from Utah to Los Angeles, and they do absolutely everything together. With the unconditional love and companionship that Bozley has always provided her, Mitra has been able to take risks and pursue her dreams. Today, Mitra and Bozley enjoy cuddling and hiking through the hills of Eagle Rock and sharing food. Mitra is most happy at home with Bozley and her two cats. Bozley is happiest trying to catch flies and never leaving Mitra’s side.
Vania Zuniga & Jax (Long Beach, CA) – Jax is a goofy three-year-old Golden Retriever who loves to be attached to Vania’s hip (unless there is a squirrel around). This pair loves to spend their time soaking up the sun at the beach. Jax loves to put a smile on anyone’s face, but be careful because his dog hair is contagious!

Momentum Pictures just released the official trailer for Black Bear, written and directed by Lawrence Michael Levine. The trailer finds Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation) playing a filmmaker who stirs up trouble for a married couple, played by Christoper Abbott (The Sinner) and Sarah Gadon (True Detective).
After a festival run, Black Bear‘s currently sitting at 85% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. The Hollywood Reporter’s David Rooney calls the film “a darkly playful deconstruction of the indie filmmaking process” while IndieWire’s Katey Erbland says “the film grows both somehow more feverish and believable with each twist and turn.”
Writer/director Levine produced along with Aubrey Plaza, Jonny Blitstein, Julie Christeas, Richard J Bosner, Marina Grasic, Jai Khanna, and Sophia Takal.
Black Bear is targeting a December 4, 2020 release.
The Plot:
At a remote lake house, a filmmaker named Allison (Plaza) arrives to play house guest to a troubled couple (Abbott and Gadon), who have eschewed their life in the city after inheriting a family retreat. Battling writer’s block, Allison sparks a calculated game of desire and jealousy in pursuit of a new work that blurs the boundaries of autobiography and invention.
Black Bear explores the complex nature of relationships, gender dynamics, and the erratic nature of love as it traces the conflict between our lust and our longing for internal harmony.

The new trailer opens with Jessica Chastain, playing a CIA agent, explaining that enemies now lurk behind their keyboards, making them basically invisible and difficult to detect. It’ll take a multi-national group of spies working together to combat these new cyber terrorists.
In addition to two-time Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain (The Help, Zero Dark Thirty), the cast includes SAG Award winner Diane Kruger (Inglourious Basterds), Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), Oscar winner Penelope Cruz (Vicky Cristina Barcelona), and Bingbing Fan (X-Men: Days of Future Past). Edgar Ramirez (American Crime Story) and Sebastian Stan (Avengers: Endgame) also star.
Director Simon Kinberg co-wrote the screenplay with Theresa Rebeck and produces. Jessica Chastain and Kelly Carmichael also produce, and Richard Hewitt served as an executive producer.
Universal Pictures is targeting a January 15, 2021 theatrical release.
The Plot:
Five rival agents. One elite team. We are The 355.
A dream team of formidable female stars come together in a hard-driving original approach to the globe-trotting espionage genre in The 355.
When a top-secret weapon falls into mercenary hands, wild card CIA agent Mason “Mace” Brown (Chastain) will need to join forces with rival badass German agent Marie (Kruger), former MI6 ally and cutting-edge computer specialist Khadijah (Nyong’o), and skilled Colombian psychologist Graciela (Cruz) on a lethal, breakneck mission to retrieve it, while also staying one-step ahead of a mysterious woman, Lin Mi Sheng (Fan), who is tracking their every move.
As the action rockets around the globe from the cafes of Paris to the markets of Morocco to the wealth and glamour of Shanghai, the quartet of women will forge a tenuous loyalty that could protect the world—or get them killed.

Reverend Paul (Aaron Lazar) is getting his audience worked up over Ginger’s disastrous baptism as Fox’s Filthy Rich season one episode three kicks off. In his mind, Ginger’s a fallen woman who only he as God’s vessel can heal. However, Margaret (Kim Cattrall) is also jumping on the Ginger controversy bandwagon and has asked Ginger to appear on her Wings of a Dove series.
Franklin (Steve Harris) isn’t sure this is the right way to boost Sunny Club subscriptions and doesn’t believe her audience wants Wings of a Dove to become that sort of show. Margaret suggests they need to embrace the controversy, and Franklin reminds her Ginger’s involvement could sully her brand.
Speak of the devil, Ginger (Melia Kreiling) has to run through a gauntlet of protesters on her way into the Sunshine Network building.
The other illegitimate siblings are with Margaret as she readies for her show. Antonio (Benjamin Levy Aguilar) accompanies her in his position with Security, and Margaret instructs Jason (Mark L. Young) that he’ll be joining Rose (Aubrey Dollar) on Wings of a Dove as part of the “mailbag” segment.
Jason doesn’t want to be on camera and for good reason. He knows he’ll be recognized back home and could be outed as an imposter.
Meanwhile, Eugene (Gerald McRaney) wanders into the DewDrop BuyBox store where the TVs are all tuned into Margaret’s Wings of a Dove show. Juliette (Juliette Lewis) welcomes him with a clerk’s jacket complete with his name already embroidered on it. (I’m totally confused at this point. What is happening? Is this a fever dream?)
Juliette informs Eugene he’ll make half a bus ticket home by working an eight-hour shift.
Rose and Jason flirt backstage and kiss, as onstage Margaret’s mention of Ginger’s name results in boos from the audience. Margaret assures them Ginger just needs saving and she’s willing to help her see the light.
As Ginger waits to be summoned to the stage, Rose warns her to be careful. Ginger thinks Margaret’s a bully and it will be her job to put Margaret in her place.
Also backstage, Reverend Paul’s brought in Governor Virgil Love and a couple of other heavy hitters. As Franklin greets the bigwigs, Reverend Paul explains these investors want to join them as silent partners. Franklin reminds Reverend Paul that Sunny Club is fully funded.
Their talk’s broken up by Antonio introducing himself to Don Bouchard (Kenny Alfonso), another member of the entourage and a bigwig in the MMA world. Don shocks Antonio by revealing he knows his mom.
Margaret has a choir take the stage while she speaks to Franklin backstage. The investors have taken seats in the audience which rattles Margaret and she wants to know why they’re there. Franklin reveals they’re nervous about her enhanced role in running the company.
Eric (Corey Cott) and his pregnant wife, Becky (Olivia Macklin), are out in the field waiting to do a segment on the family’s Bayou Housing Trust. It’s hot, Becky’s miserable, and she hates the fact Ginger got the prime spot on the episode while they’re out in the heat in the middle of a field.
Eric’s live shot begins and he explains they’re breaking ground on more housing. As he’s speaking, a group of neighborhood kids heckle him and then run off, completely breaking his concentration.
Over at the store, Juliette and Eugene are plopped down in easy chairs watching Wings of a Dove. Rose is on and as she reads a piece of mail from Mark of Colorado, she smiles. Jason/Mark also smiles from his seat in the audience. Eugene notes Rose is glowing and Juliette says it’s because Rose is in love.
Ginger’s employees and her sister, Rachel (Aqueela Zoll), check out a strange older dude sitting in a car and staring at the motel. Ginger’s mom, Tina (Rachel York), joins them and recognizes the man. She’s frightened by his appearance and tells everyone to get back inside.
The final piece of mail is from someone claiming Ginger will burn in Hell. An audience member erupts and calls Ginger a whore while Margaret attempts to restore order.
Backstage, Ginger looks nervous.
Eric and Becky confront one of the kids and she shows them how rundown their house is and how the river is coming up and soaking their floor. Eric had no idea the housing project was in such poor shape and is astonished to see the ceiling is falling apart and there’s mold from all the dampness.
Next up on Wings of a Dove is Antonio who arrives onstage shirtless, much to Margaret’s surprise. He was supposed to take part in a cooking segment and instead he’s decided to show her some of his moves. Antonio explains martial arts is about diffusing situations and Margaret joins him in an exhibition. She stands completely still as he throws a punch in her direction. He doesn’t land any blows as he continues to demonstrate his skill, ending it all with a roundhouse kick that just barely misses Margaret’s face.
Margaret’s proud she didn’t flinch once, and Antonio smiles broadly as he raises her hand in victory.
Antonio’s real mom is watching this on television and is jealous when Margaret calls Antonio “her boy.”
Rose and Ginger commiserate backstage and Ginger admits she’s always dreamed of being on the show. Now, everyone hates her. Rose explains Margaret’s followers don’t hate Ginger, they hate the character her mom and Reverend Paul created.
Rose suggests Ginger go onstage and speak her truth. “Be braver than the rest of us,” says Rose.
As they’re talking, Ginger receives an urgent call from Rachel asking her to return to the hotel. Rachel says there’s a man there who’s completely freaked out their mom.
Ginger’s almost out of the building when Antonio and Margaret catch up with her. Ginger explains there’s a fan of Margaret’s at the hotel frightening her girls. She blames Margaret for riling everyone up and for not stopping her followers from this behavior.
Margaret promises they’ll put a stop to it together. Ginger joins Margaret on camera while Margaret reveals Ginger’s mom is being threatened. She reminds everyone Sunshine Network is a family and violence is never an answer.
Margaret asks Ginger to join her in talking through their differences, like mother and daughter. Ginger takes a moment and then replies, “I’d love to.”
Rachel emerges from the motel and the stranger’s no longer parked outside. She retrieves a note addressed to Ms. Sweet left on the van’s windshield.
Rose joins Mark/Jason in the audience and warns him he needs to be careful. She doesn’t want to lose him.
Eric races over to the studio, convinced he needs to do something about his mother raising funds off buildings that should be condemned. Becky stops him and says it should be his job now to fix this; he shouldn’t go running to his mom. Her advice: man up.
Margaret and Ginger begin their conversation and Ginger chuckles when Margaret says, “I believe that there are very good people on both sides of this situation.” Margaret doesn’t think Ginger’s a bad person, but she made a bad decision concerning her baptism wet T-shirt escapade. She asks if Ginger thinks those who believe in Christ are dumb.
Ginger doesn’t and, in fact, believes in Christ. She also believes there’s room in religious dialogue for provocative thought. The conversation turns to feminism and whether it’s being a feminist to sell your body on the internet. Ginger quotes the Scriptures, stands firm in her beliefs, and adds that her business provides what men aren’t able to get at home.
The talk turns really personal when Ginger assures Margaret that Eugene didn’t just step out for sex; he loved her mom. She claims Eugene came to her mom for salvation.
Margaret’s rendered speechless.
Margaret describes staying silent to protect her family all these years. She admits she knew about Eugene’s many affairs and calls Ginger – and women like her – selfish because they don’t care what they destroy.
“After every affair, Eugene came home to me!” yells Margaret. “I took him back because I swore an oath before God until death do us part.” She ends her speech by calling Ginger a cheap, trashy, sanctimonious little slut.
Of course, none of that was actually said. It’s running through Margaret’s mind as her face remains inscrutable.
Ginger asks again if Margaret has anything to say. Margaret finally musters her thoughts and leads them into a commercial break.
Eric approaches Reverend Paul in the audience and reveals Sunny Missions is a slumlord.
As they’re coming back from a commercial break, a young woman who convinced Ginger she was a P.A. on the series approaches Ginger on stage. Margaret wonders who she is right before the stranger throws a large cup full of red liquid on Ginger and tells her to rot in Hell.
Everyone’s shocked and Ginger is soaked as Margaret apologizes. Ginger refuses to allow them to cut to a commercial; she wants to speak her mind.
Ginger tells the world she watched Wings of a Dove every day growing up. She learned everything from Margaret and dreamed of meeting her. Margaret swears it wasn’t supposed to be like this, but Ginger doesn’t believe her.
Ginger says, “Thanks for the homecoming,” as she makes her exit.
Margaret scans the audience and asks for her stool to be brought out. Rose fills Jason in on the fact her mom has only asked for her stool twice before. Once after 9/11 and once after the Supreme Court allowed gay marriage.
Margaret calls what happened disturbing and feels horrible about Ginger’s humiliation. She failed to protect her family and asks the Lord where we go from here. She suggests they build a bridge of forgiveness.
She has the camera spotlight her three major investors in the audience – Governor Virgil Love, Don Bouchard, and Townes Dockerty. She credits them with giving her and Eugene their start and swears they will save Ginger someday.
She then points out Jason in the audience and calls him a reformed drug dealer from Colorado. His friends back home are watching and realize it’s Mark. They’re stoned but still sure that’s not Jason.
Juliette spots Eugene stealing and before he takes more than a few steps away from the cash register, she has a cop arrest him. (This whole store thing doesn’t make any sense.)
Later, Antonio’s mom confesses he hurt her by doing “their thing” with Margaret on TV. Antonio admits he had to do it because Don Bouchard was in the audience.
Reverend Paul spots Ginger outside crying and apologizes for what happened. Rachel arrives to give her a ride back to the motel and hands her the note the weirdo in the parking lot left for her. Inside is a photo of their mom along with a bullet.
Rachel reveals the bigwigs in the audience are all customers of their porn site. Ginger decides they should record them all next time they log on.
Back at the studio, Reverend Paul and the investors toast to the houses collapsing and to charity. The man from the motel joins them and confirms he left a message. “I know that you fellows worry, but as long as the ladies are fighting the right hand won’t know what the left is doing,” says Reverend Paul.
Eric logs into Saint Wagon to see Rachel. She finally convinces him to show his face and she instantly recognizes him. He doesn’t know it, but she just hit record.
Apple TV+’s new documentary Bruce Springsteen’s Letter to You allows fans of The Boss a peek inside the recording studio as he reunites with The E Street Band. The documentary pulls back the curtain as Springsteen and his band work on their upcoming album, Letter to You.
Both the album and the documentary will debut on Friday, October 23, 2020.
Apple TV+ describes Bruce Springsteen’s Letter to You as a “feature-length verité documentary” which will include full length performances of 10 songs from the much-anticipated upcoming record. The documentary also features previously unseen archival material along with the in-studio footage.
Springsteen wrote and Tom Zimny (Western Stars, The Gift: The Journey of Johnny Cash, Springsteen on Broadway) directed. Zimny and Jon Landau produced, Springsteen served as an executive producer, and Barbara Carr co-produced.
More on Bruce Springsteen’s Letter to You, Courtesy of Apple TV+:
Bruce Springsteen’s Letter to You captures Springsteen recording Letter To You live with the full E Street Band, and includes final take performances of ten originals from the new record. The film is a tribute to the E Street Band, to rock music itself and to the role it has played in Springsteen’s life.
Letter To You is Springsteen’s first studio album recorded live and together with the E Street Band since 1984’s Born In The U.S.A.. Both the album and companion documentary include recently-written Springsteen songs side-by-side with legendary but previously unreleased compositions from the 1970s.
Throughout the documentary, Springsteen shares his thoughts and feelings behind Letter To You and puts the new music into the context of his entire body of work. In that way, it’s the next piece in the autobiographical series that began with the memoir Born to Run, continued with Springsteen on Broadway, and advanced through his film Western Stars.
Given 2020’s extreme weirdness it wouldn’t be shocking to discover Spontaneous is based on actual events. It’s not, thankfully, but give 2020 another month or two and just maybe. I wouldn’t count out the possibility of randomly exploding humans at this point.
Based on Aaron Starmer’s popular novel, Spontaneous puts a bizarre twist on the already complicated world of high school life. Things are basically normal for Mara (Katherine Langford, 13 Reasons Why) until the day she’s seated in class and one of her fellow students explodes. Blood, guts, and gore spray those within range and mass panic ensues as the cause of the spontaneous combustion isn’t immediately known.
Was it a bomb? The result of some sort of weapon? No one can be certain. But as the hours tick by, more teenagers from this otherwise normal high school begin popping. There’s no rhyme or reason, no obvious clues, and not even the FBI can quickly come up with a plausible answer.
Yet even with the sudden reduction in students, the complicated, emotionally gut-wrenching high school world of modern teenagers goes on. Relationships are formed, parents are worried, and the slow march to graduation trudges forward.
Of course, our heroine Mara attempts to make sense of it all before ultimately blaming herself. (She’s got a connection to a lot of the poppees.) Mara, proving she has a horrible sense of timing, also falls in love while all around her friends are bursting like overfilled balloons.
Dylan (Charlie Plummer) has had a crush on the intelligent, fiercely independent Mara for years. His decision to act on it just adds another messy layer to the ridiculously weird world Mara’s attempting to navigate through without bursting into a bloody mess.
Katherine Langford stars in ‘Spontaneous’ (Photo Credit: Awesomeness Films, Jurassic Party Productions)
Spontaneous is completely absurd and yet totally relatable and refreshingly honest. Life is messy, the world is unpredictable, and the future is uncertain. Now’s the exact right time for this bizarre coming-of-age story and its important life lessons. Live for today. Find joy in the simple things. Cherish your friendships. Learn how to say goodbye and how to emerge on the other side of tragedy still standing strong.
Katherine Langford and Charlie Plummer are absolutely terrific in the lead roles. Their fates are very much up in the air throughout the film, and you’re definitely rooting for these two to hold themselves together against the odds. Also, kudos to director Brian Duffield and casting director Jenny Jue for casting Piper Perabo as Langford’s mom. These two look and, more importantly, give off the vibe they could actually be related.
Spontaneous is in the same league as John Hughes’ coming-of-age comedies. (I can think of no higher praise for a high school film.) It’s one of those quirky, irresistible teen films that engages all demographics. The bloody explosions – which remain hilarious throughout – might initially drive the story, but Spontaneous is, at heart, a story of love, loss, and hope.
