Deputy Season 1 Episode 6 Photos: Preview of “10-8 Do No Harm”

A gunman puts Paula’s life in danger in Fox’s Deputy season one episode six. Episode six, “10-8 Do No Harm,” will air on February 6, 2020 at 9pm ET/PT.

Stephen Dorff (“Sheriff Bill Hollister”) leads a cast that includes Brian Van Holt as Cade Ward, Bex Taylor-Klaus as Brianna Bishop, and Shane Paul McGhie as Joseph Harris. Yara Martinez stars as Dr. Paula Reyes.

“10-8 Do No Harm” Plot – When a gunman walks into the medical wing of the Los Angeles Correctional Facility – where Paula is volunteering – Bill has the entire Sheriff’s department look for a way to get her out. Meanwhile, with only three months left in Bill’s temporary stint as Sherriff, others decide to make a run for the role.

The Deputy Plot, Courtesy of Fox:

Deputy blends the spirit of a classic Western with a modern-day attitude and emotionally driven, visceral storytelling. Featuring an ensemble of ambitious and complicated people who won’t rest until justice is served, DEPUTY brings a gritty authenticity to the modern cop drama.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is one of the largest police forces in the world, but when the elected Sheriff dies, an arcane rule in the county charter, forged back in the Wild West, suddenly thrusts the most unlikely man into the job. That man is Bill Hollister. A fifth-generation lawman, Bill is only interested in justice; his soul wears a white hat. The bad guys don’t stand a chance, but neither do the politicos in the Hall of Justice.

Under Bill’s command is a county-wide crew of LA’s finest, including Deputy Cade Ward, a former Marine stationed in Afghanistan, eight years sober and one of Bill’s few confidantes; Deputy Brianna Bishop, the whip-smart, sarcastic driver in charge of Bill’s security detail; and Deputy Joseph Harris, the son of Bill’s fallen partner.

The dangers associated with the job often lead the police to LA County General Hospital, where Bill buts heads with Dr. Paula Reyes, the hospital’s chief trauma surgeon – and his wife.

Given a job he never wanted, in an unfamiliar sea of politics, Bill quickly learns that doing what is expected and doing what is right are two different things, and that his innate, dogged pursuit of justice is the only skill the job truly requires.”

Gretel & Hansel Movie Review: Zero Scares in This Sluggish Thriller

“Careful with that, dear. I would hate for you to start something you can’t stop,” says Holda (Alice Krige) to Gretel (Sophia Lillis) as she lights a fire in the woods for warmth in the horror/thriller, Gretel & Hansel.

Inspired by the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, the 2020 release follows a teenage Gretel as she leads her younger brother, Hansel (Sammy Leakey), through the dark woods in search of food and shelter after being driven out of their home. During their journey, they come upon a dark and foreboding house where an old woman named Holda lives.

Hansel sneaks into the house and is caught by Holda. She invites the siblings into her home to have dinner and stay the night. Starving and exhausted, they make the critical error of accepting the invitation.

The next morning Gretel and Hansel offer to do chores (cleaning, chopping wood, etc) to repay the old woman’s kindness. Holda accepts and suggests they stay awhile under such an arrangement. After a few days and nights, Gretel notices there aren’t any animals or fruit nearby yet the old woman constantly has enough meat, milk, and fruit every day for breakfast and dinner. Gretel begins to believe they’re in danger and that they should leave the house before some harm befalls them.

Dark and brooding, Gretel & Hansel takes the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale and makes it into a coming-of-age story focusing on Gretel, who in this version is much older than her brother and looks after him. Sophia Lillis (It) delivers a wide-eyed, stilted, and almost emotionless performance as Gretel, a big sister who cares about her younger sibling but also wishes she was free of him. Lillis displays the same expression on her face whether her character is curious, leery, or afraid.

Alice Krige delivers the best performance in the film as Holda, the witch who’s intrigued by the strong-willed Gretel and considers teaching her the art of dark magic while salivating over and fattening up her little brother. The best scenes in the film are with Krige.

The biggest problem with the film is the pacing. The backstory of the witch and the first 25 minutes of the film focusing on how Gretel and Hansel were kicked out into the woods and onto their journey are nothing short of tedious. The other big problem is the lack of emotion and terror. Neither Gretel and Hansel seem truly afraid – much less horrified – when they realize they’re in real danger.

The look of the film and its production design are visually haunting and the score adds what little tension and sense of dread exists in the film. Gretel & Hansel is stylish but fails to convey the horror of the situation or deliver any real frights or scares.

“Kai Parker Screwed Us” Plot: – When a series of events leads Josie (Bryant), Lizzie (Boyd) and Alaric (Davis) to the prison world, they come face to face with the twins’ evil uncle Kai (guest star Chris Wood).

The Season 2 Plot:

Last season, viewers were thrilled to tap into a whole new passion for The Vampire Diaries / The Originals universe, when the third installment in the franchise launched with Legacies. Set in the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted, Legacies told the story of the next generation of supernatural beings as they learn what it means to be special in a world that may never understand. Typically a school for vampires like MG (Fouse), werewolves like Rafael (Smith) and witches like twins Lizzie (Boyd) and Josie Saltzman (Bryant), the kids and their beloved headmaster Dr. Alaric Saltzman (Davis) were stunned to come face to face with a series of monster and creatures they had only ever heard of in myth and lore. A dragon. A gargoyle. The Headless Horseman.

The evil behind the real-life resurrection of these formerly fictional beings proved to have a horrifying connection to the school’s newest student, Landon Kirby (Shahghasemi). This led his first and only love, Hope Mikaelson (Russell), the school’s shining star, to sacrifice her place at the school — and in the world — to protect Landon from a terrible fate.

Season two will show us a world without Hope Mikaelson and all the chaos that goes along with it. All the while, Hope will be trying to find her way back to the school she has learned to call home and the friends she has learned to love like family. It will be filled with new monsters and more romantic and emotional surprises than ever.
